Just steps from the Boston Common, this neighborhood has had many personalities over the decades! Since the early 1900s, the area along Washington and Tremont Streets, roughly from School Street to Beach Street, has also been referred to as the Ladder District. Now it is most commonly named Downtown Crossing as most of the city's Subway's or (T-lines) intersect at Park Street station. The MBTA's Downtown Crossing subway station directly serves Downtown Crossing. The State Street and Park Street stations are within close walking distance. Silver Line service is also available. You can get literally anywhere in the city for a few dollars and a Tpass.
Shipping up to Boston?
We put together a great guide filled with information for getting around the city and beyond!
Downtown Boston is easy to navigate. It’s compact, walkable, has an abundance of taxis, yes they still exist! And Uber's are always a tap away. What makes Boston so accessible is it's public transportation system. Driving downtown can be a challenge with its dated road layout and limited parking options but, it’s the most convenient option for travel outside of Boston Proper.
The MBTA is Boston’s public transportation system, and it’s a great way to get around quickly and cheaply. The “T” refers to the subway, which runs throughout Boston, into Cambridge, and into nearby suburbs, providing access to all the attractions located in Boston. Just look for the big "T" in a circle to find a stop.
You can also take buses to get all over the city, and the Commuter Rail is an easy way to get to points outside of Boston. You can buy paper “Charlie Tickets” for single or multiple subway rides at vending machines located in most stations. When your ticket runs low, visit a fare vending machine to add value. A single basic fare for the T is $2.75 with a Charlie Ticket, although if you pick up a Charlie Card (a plastic card like a credit card), the fare is lower at $2.25 for one way. You can load the Charlie Card with an amount of your choosing, so it's smart way to explore the city. They're available at almost every T stop, and are free to get. Once on board, hang on! Being one of the oldest public transportation systems in the country, the T is not always the smoothest ride.
Parking. or "Paahking" is hard to find, expensive (by most tourists accounts) and is best done in lots or garages for peace of mind. Please check out a website called "Spot Hero" to find the most updated options and prices!

Perfect location and walking distance to anywhere you would need to get. It was loud at night but that’s the city. Good spot for a short weekend and we would stay again! Steven was very friendly and communicative leading up which was much appreciated.
Great location in relation to things to do and public transportation. We were really happy to have two bathrooms as well. Beds were comfortable and unit was spacious! Sleeping was a little rough with how much noise occurs outside throughout the night though. It’s right in front of a bus stop, that you can hear every little sound from. Lots of honking cars throughout the night and people yelling too. Positive to have bars and restaurants nearby, but can also lead to disrupted sleep. Overall, the unit is great but you should come in with some ear plugs for decent sleep.
Very clean and convenient location. Host was very responsive.
Great place to stay downtown. Noise from the street is the only complaint, but can’t change that.
Everything was great, beautiful apartment.
My friends and I enjoyed our one night stay here. Only downside is that it gets pretty noisy through the night as the airbnb is located by businesses.
This is decent option for a larger group in Boston. Our biggest complaint was the noise. If you are a light sleeper, avoid. You could clearly hear conversations on the street below. There’s a bus stop right below the unit that is loud at all hours. I have lived in NYC, London, Chicago and Miami in apartments of all ages and have never had a place with noise this bad. The host is responsive and place was otherwise clean. Biggest issue was the noise.
Location and unit were great. Would stay again next time in town.
Steven was a wonderful host, was quick to respond to any questions I had. Location was perfect, so many things to do immediately around the apartment or within shirt walking or Uber distance. We are greatful he was able to host our group for our biannual firefighters convention.
We had a great experience! Very walkable area!
Location, cleanliness and comfort were great. One of my most responsive hosts ever. Only problem was, bedroom windows look out onto fairly noisy street. Had trouble sleeping with noise first night. Headphones and white noise helped second night. Black out curtains would be helpful too.
Good location with lots of things to do around. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful. We would definitely book with them again!
Good location with lots of things to do around. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful. We would definitely book with them again!
Host was very responsive.
If you are coming in after dark, walking on Washington is better than walking along the park.
Excellent location and apartment. Easy to get in. Felt very safe. Central to everything one would want in Boston.
Beautiful place to stay
Family of five, and we loved our stay here. Would recommend it to others looking for plenty of bedrooms and a central location to Freedom Trail and everything Boston has to offer. Never heard another neighbor, but you will hear plenty outside. Middle of the city, and it sounds like it. Play white noise at night It's a bit spartan. We didn't cook, but kitchen had all of the utensils and dishes you need, but didn't have any spices, foil, oil, etc. Bathrooms are not luxurious, but there were soaps and plenty of good towels. Living area is comfortable with brick walls for character. Beds and linens were cozy and felt new. Four bedrooms that were not huge, but enough to fit us and suitcases. Location is spectacular. Half a block from Boston Commons and Freedom Trail. Upstairs from honestly great restaurant options. Parking is public and expensive, but transit is nearby. If you plan to be out all day, this is a great place to rest your head at night.
Very smooth stay for me and my 5 guests, great location and very centrally located.
Clean, cool (it was summer) and central. It fit our family's needs for an easy, central location. Note, the nighttime noise is a real thing, even for us Manhattanites. (The listers should be commended for their transparency.)
An ideal place to explore boston from on foot. Close to all the freedom trail sites, subway, restaurants. Clean and simple. Bus stop downstairs made it hard for kids to sleep.
Very nice and clean place. 👍
Great place and location, the apartment is amazing, everything works and the checkin and chekout are very smooth. I’d stay there again for sure!!!
Awesome location and great place!
Steven is an excellent host. We asked to change plans last minute and worked with us, which made our trip much better than it would have been. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks 100X!!
An amazing apartment, the perfect location for a trip to Boston. Super spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be back for another stay soon!
The apartment was very clean and easy to access. There are great restaurants and bars very close by. Great value! There was some garbage truck and bus noise at night so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Steven was very responsive and friendly. The location was excellent, during the day. At night, it was sketchy and unbelievably LOUD! We used the sound machine on our phones at night and it didn't help. The screeching from the busses and people screaming in the street woke us all up, every time we managed to fall asleep. At one point, I heard the upstairs neighbors talking and it's sounded like they were in my room. I did see the noise complaints from other guests, but I thought it was just people not used to city sounds. Loud is an understatement. The beds were the only comfortable furniture, the bar stools and other chairs were hard and uninviting. We booked Airbnb over a hotel to have a comfy hang out space and this did not accommodate us. We were a few min walk to a nice grocery, where you'll need to buy your own coffee because it's not provided. We HIGHLY recommend the Cafe Bonjour, which is downstairs and to your right. Excellent service and great gluten free options!
Great location in downtown Boston! Steven and team were very responsive and made everything simple and easy.
We loved our stay! It is so close to the commons and fun restaurants. Lots of towels which is always a nice find. There was some noise, but that was mentioned so we brought sound machines for our kids and it worked well. We also love the mission of the group. Messages back and forth were friendly and responsive. Would totally recommend!
Clean, spacious, and modern. Easy access to local restaurants and Boston Common. Great place to stay for a small group traveling together.
We had a great trip, everything as advertised. Easy communication, great clean space.
The place was very clean. There was a lot of street noise late into the night.
Loved staying here! It’s located right in the heart of Boston. Steven and his team were extremely quick to get back to us with any questions or concerns. This has been one of my favorite places to stay and cities to visit, I will definitely be back!
Great place to stay in the heart of the city! The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean. The location is amazing for getting to see the city. You can hear a lot of street noises at night, but it is hard to expect much different when staying in an older building in the middle of a large city. Overall, excellent place to stay.
Perfect location in the heart of Downtown Crossing! Hosts were super responsive and helpful. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!
Location is great, host was very responsive! The only downside is the noise in the middle of the night, it’s very loud, we woke up a few times. Other than that, all good.
Responsive and very helpful hosts!
This apartment checks off most of the boxes you'd want in Boston. First and foremost is the location, which is just about the best you could get in Boston. Walkable through and through, truly at the center of it all. The rooms are all very comfortable and clean, and the decor was pleasant. The kitchen is very simple and only minimally equipped - don't plan on fixing whole meals here, it's more of a breakfast kitchen and there isn't a dining area, either. Not to worry, as there are more than enough excellent eateries all around. One thing that bothered us was that the windows are old single-pane glass and do very little to keep out the noise and the cold, both of which were considerable on an April weekend. Most rooms were comfortable with the heating, but the king bedroom was cold and very noisy every night.
Host was very responsive, and a great location for our trip to Boston! Thank you!
I stayed at this apartment with three friends and the apartment was perfect! The apartment was exactly as listed. There was extra bedding and linens available and even cute little containers of shampoo/conditioner, soap and dishwashing liquid. It was very close to all types of restaurants and shopping. The coffee table was damaged before we arrived and when I let him know, the host even offered to replace it the next day! I would definitely stay in those apartment again.
Beautiful flat and right in the centre! Everything was clean and there was plenty of room.
We loved the apartment and the location. There is city noise but that is to be expected in the heart of the city. Steven was great to work with and the apartment was in great shape. A ton of room for our family of five. This is our second booking with Steven and we will definitely book with him again when we return to Boston.
Very nice property with great communication and direction
Great apartment right in downtown Boston next to many restaurants and bars! The place was very neat and clean, the beds extremely comfortable. Steven provided us with ample information about the check-in/check out process.
Easy spot to meet with friends from out of town for a night in Boston. Close to everything we were interested in and enough space that we all could gather comfortably. Thanks so much!
This apartment is in a busy part of town, which was great for us. It’s in walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. The place suited our needs well! They do warn about the outside street noise and for a good reason. Between 9-11pm the street noise was easily heard from all bedrooms. Aside from the noise, we loved the apartment for our stay in Boston
Good location, easy instructions, 4 bedrooms. However, very cheap bed frames/bed (mine was literally falling in), no coffee provided, cheapest soaps etc — place felt like an Airbnb with very little thought put into the decor. Does the trick if you’re just looking for well-located Airbnb with 4 separate bedrooms,
Perfect location to explore the city.
very nice apartment, good location
Location was perfect for walking and super easy access to the subway to use when we didn’t want to walk. It’s located in downtown a block from the park. Weekend nights are little noisy late when the bars are closing but we expected that based on previous reviews. It wasn’t a problem for us. The location and the 4 bed 2 bath unit trumps! I definitely recommend staying here unless you have difficulty climbing stairs (3rd). Comfortable, clean, and close to everything.
The place was exactly as advertised! A great space for our group of 7 to enjoy a night in Boston during the holidays. Clean space and in a great location.
The property was nice, located in the middle of lots of attractions. Only thing I wish we knew ahead was how loud it was. Was very hard to sleep with bars below and on side and very busy street. Was very noisy until like 3 in am. We did not have control of heat so very hot in unit as was set at 69 so had to crack windows and just so very loud. Just wish we knew that. We enjoyed our stay and the unit is perfect and fit our party of 7 comfortably just wish knew about the noise and heat.
Great location, very responsive. Will definitely stay here again!
Over all the apartment was exactly what we needed. Both the listing and reviews warned of city noise (the silver line bus idles just outside one of the bedroom windows), so I do recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. My only complaint is that the king room was missing a window blind. The host was quick to respond and report it to maintenance; however, it was a special order that never arrived during the stay, and no temporary solution like a tension rod with a curtain was offered. Public transit from this place was a breeze! The orange line entrance is just a few doors down the street, and the green and red lines are a block or two away. I would stay there again, and if the blinds were fixed it would have been 5 stars.
We had a great stay, the apartment was very central to a lot of the attractions in the city. We were able to walk everywhere. Had a lot of great resturant, shops , and historic spots, right outside our door. I highly recommend this place, but note there is a lot of street noise, but it’s the price you pay for being in the place to be.
Great and easy stay. Would come again!
I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. When weighing options for hotels and comparing that with location, amenities, and overall space, this unit just seemed to make better sense. While it was a little bit more money, it ultimately ended up serving our purposes best and I do plan on returning. I think the easiest way to compliment both Steven and the property is to let everybody know that it is now favorited in my Airbnb app.
This is a great place to stay when visiting Boston. It is right next to the T and other restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. The host is quick to respond with any questions.
Great price for the location. Apartment was clean and Steven was a responsive host
Steven’s place was PERFECT for our group of 5 people! Everything was immaculate and the beds were SO SO comfortable! The two full bathrooms were a huge plus! The location is perfect; multiple restaurants & bars on the same street.. plus a store with just about everything you would need. Also, just steps from the Boston Common! We will definitely be back!
we were here for a conference and it was a perfect airbnb for several coworkers. the shower can be lukewarm if both showers are being used and the streets were a little loud, but cannot beat the location. would stay here again
Clean, modern, convenient space. Note that this is in the middle of Downtown Crossing so it will be loud at night. Our 3 young kids however did great with sound machines going. You cannot beat this location in terms of access to the best parts of Boston. Beds were comfortable and the layout excellent for a bigger group. Thanks for a great stay!!
clean place, comfortable beds, and in a great location. Common space is small and seating is not ideal, but not an issue if you're not intended on spending much time inside. The outside city noise is very (very) loud at night, but this is due to the location. Steven communicated great.
Convenient location, and the apartment is just like the pictures! Would definitely stay again if I'm up in Boston and need to be centrally located.
Location was great. Plenty of restaurants and close to everything. Only downside was the noise from being on the bus line which we were aware from other reviews and were prepared for. Check in at 5 was a little rough as well. Not many amenities (one wine glass, not great seating for 4) but overall I'd rent it again due to location and price.
We picked this place because of its great location. You can walk almost everywhere in the downtown area. We were four women and felt safe at all times too. Having the four bedrooms/two baths was terrific. Nice kitchen/den area and you can stock it easily with what you need by visiting the grocery store on the corner. Also, there is a fun restaurant, Hobgoblin, and a nice liquor store on the street. As others mentioned, this is not a quiet street. But if you prepare in advance with ear plugs and sound machines, you can block most of the street noise from the buses during the night.
The apartment is nice and clean, but the noise from the street is really high.
Great location - just off Tremont St in Downtown Crossing. Apartment was large and nicely maintained. Street noise was a bit loud on the weekends, just bring some ear plugs and you’ll be fine.
Great stay. Great location. Walkable to many things downtown.
The apartment was perfect to host 8 people and it matches the description provided by Steven. Check-in and check-out were easy to follow thanks to the host instructions. A bit noisy due to the busses in the night but overall nothing to complain about.
the apartment is very old, but it is clean. The entrance and stairs are awful and very very dirty.
Wonderful visit to Boston. Great location, we were able to walk everyone. Super clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again
The location was perfect! We walk to most everything from the apartment. The 4 bedrooms was perfect for our group! It was clean and we had everything we needed!
The space is simple but the location is fantastic, walkable to great restaurants, bars, and historical sites.
Right in the middle of the action!
Host is lovely! Great place to stay with a little group. All 4 bedrooms nice and clean / comfy. 2 bathrooms with 2 showers a nice feature for groups. And location right in middle of downtown. Right near everything! Recommend it in area!!!
Loved this location! We parked our car in a garage and walked everywhere from here. North End, History walk, fireworks
It is a very cozy, clean apartment in downtown Boston with very comfortable beds. It has a full kitchen and a nice living room area. We felt very much at home during the day. Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise from the street at night as there is a bus station below the apartment that is very noisy at night. If you have a deep sleep or bring ear plugs it might not be an issue.
Great location , easy check-in , made for a good weekend
Good location by Boston Common and good value. Everything was straightforward.
Incredible place to stay in a very ideal location! The rooms were just as described. Steven, as a host, was super responsive and very proactive to make sure we had a comfortable stay! Would definitely book again!
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The hosts were super responsive.
Great place and nice central location.
Nice apartment, and kind host! Thank you for everything!
great place and an even better location!
We stayed at this apartment for a week of corporate meetings. The bedrooms were very comfy and private, with two bathrooms so that made it really easy to share the space. The beds and linen were SO COMFORTABLE! The location was great, it was a breeze to get to where we needed to go and there were plenty of food options around. Cafe Bonjour became our go-to breakfast place and it's pretty much down the stairs from the building. The downside was that the elevator of the building wasn't functioning so we had to go up two flights of stairs with luggage. That wasn't ideal but it's also not their fault and should be functioning again soon. Overall, we'd stay here again for our next corporate offsite.
Place is very clean and beds were comfortable. Steven was responsive and check in/out was easy. It is quite noisy at night as there are several bars near by. Additionally there was construction at 7:45am on Saturday morning right outside our windows. I think this was a special circumstance, but did disrupt our sleep quite a bit.
Great location, place is spacious and very clean had everything we needed for our stay in Boston. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus
The place was very clean and the bedrooms were comfortable, the living space was windowless. Unlike other Airbnbs however, there were no basic food supplies in the kitchen, no salt, pepper or paper towels (but there were pots and pans etc.). The main issue as other reviewers have remarked is the outside noise and the fact that the windows are single pane. We are used to bus stops and live on a busy street in NYC but here the bus idled right under the windows for long periods at all hours, making it hard to sleep. If that is not bothering you, this is a good option, well located.
A nice place to stay for a few days! A bit noisy at night because of the silver bus station, but we enjoyed it tho.
very convenient location near the Boston Commons. Lots of great restaurants within a minute's walk. The host was very responsive and accommodating.
I loved my stay in Boston! It was the perfect location for going on walks in the mornings to local coffee shops & perusing the city. I’m so glad I was able to help support their cause & I would definitely recommend this place!
Great place to stay. Safe, walkable area with lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
Steven was responsive to all of our questions. the home is perfect and in a great location.
great location, great place , great for groups , great host , what more can i say, definitely recommend,
The space was very nice, and the neighborhood was also good. However, each of the bedrooms were very loud at night. There is a trash compactor outside that was very loud and disruptive of several of our guests sleep.
Centrally located place within walking distance of coffee shops, convenience stores, plenty of restaurants, liquor store, and Boston Common. The start of the Freedom Trail was right across the street. The apartment was very clean and everything worked. All the kitchenware (we didn't use the stove, though) worked great and there were plentry of utensils and dishes to accommodate our group. The furniture in the common area was very comfortable and the connecting to the TV went without issue. The beds were comfy and came with plenty of linens and there were plenty of towels for everyone. The bathrooms were also very clean. I think the only issues we ran into were that there was not a lot of hot water for showers but for a group of 7 that's to be expected when everyone showers consecutively. The host was very polite and responsive. Everyone had a great time and would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a great place in the heart of Boston!
Very nice place, I’ll stay there again.
Great service and a nice 4-bedroom option conveniently located downtown and a short walk from south station. Unfortunately the stairwell and bedding smelled severely of chemical fragrance. It was pretty unbearable for me because of my allergy to fragrance, and noticeable to others. This was even after an effort was made to avoid fragrant cleaning products and detergents, which I appreciated. Would not suggest this place to anyone who gets headaches from chemicals.. But would recommend to normal people.
There were 8 of us(4-couples), and the place was perfect. Open concept living/kitchen, 2-baths and 4-bedrooms. The beds and linens were comfy. Overall cleanliness gets 2-thumbs up. The location was great and we were able to walk to fun restaurants/ bars, even though it was the coldest weekend in 7 years! Steven and Brian were helpful and responded to questions within minutes! We would definitely chose to stay here again and a BIG thank you to Brian and Steven!
Everything was perfect.
Great location! Easy to walk to everything and has a lot of great restaurants, breweries and cafes nearby.
Great location. However, the bedrooms are very noisy with constant buses outside throughout the night, making it difficult to get (and stay) asleep. There were only 5 of us and we struggled to all be seated comfortably in the living area as there is only 1 sofa and 1 chair that are comfortable. The other 2 chairs are not comfortable for sitting in. There are multiple sockets in the apartment that do not work, meaning there is a cable from one of the bedrooms to the living area which presents a trip hazard.
Grab this spot if you can! My family and I had a fabulous New Year's weekend at Steven's place. It is exactly as depicted in the photos and as described. Roomy, spotless, bright and cheery! Steven and crew were over the top communicators, responding almost immediately to our questions. Their email communications prior to our stay were detailed and informative. If you were to imagine your perfect airbnb experience, this would be it. Everything exceeded our expectations. The building itself is in the heart of Boston. You'd think it'd be noisy, but it was very quiet. I can't recommend this unit enough and will certainly return.
Great location, responsive hosts and convenient dwelling for a family or parties of 3 or more guests. Highly recommend!
A great and spacious stay of four bedrooms which is tricky to find at an Airbnb in Boston. It’s near the “T” subway lines to take all over the city and into Cambridge. Great coffee shops nearby and upscale grocery store.
Perfect place great location. Clean and well maintained. We will use the place again. Highly recommend the property.
A great spot, definitely as advertised. No complaints here!
Perfect location for a quick visit with kids to the freedom trail which starts only a couple hundred yards from the front door. Four bedrooms was amazing for sleeping, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen/dining/sitting area is too small for a longer trip, but overall functional. We’ve stayed city center all over the world with results all over the map. This area is up and coming, but comes with the requisite sketchiness of an up and coming area. There’s a a good brewery, great cafes and several nice restaurants all within a couple hundred yards… at the same time there were a couple bums passed out and plenty of marijuana use and heavily intoxicated homeless. At night we found the windows so thin we had to check several times to see if they were still open. We were occasionally awakened with screaming matches and blaring horns but nothing too unexpected in a city center. Plan ahead to get to the grocery store as you’ll only find salt and pepper inside. Luckily there’s a grocery store less than a half mile walk.
Great location and nice apartment. Would stay again.
Great stay, clear check in instructions and no issues during stay. Good central location, would book again for future business trips.
Couldn't have asked for a better location for my girls weekend! 10/10 location, spacious apartment, comfy beds, double full baths were great. Flagging there there are steps to get up to the 3rd floor unit, but my group didn't have an issue with them. Thanks for being our Boston home base!
The unit was nice and clean. The location was great. The elevator was out which was inconvenient being on the 3rd floor. There is early morning delivery and bus traffic that can be a bit noisy. Excellent restaurants and bars close by.
This was a really clean place to stay and a great location. It was a bit loud.
This Air B&B is as advertised and pictured. The beds are very comfortable, and the apartment was also very clean. Great location close to public transportation with lots of choices to park. Great restaurants, shopping and historic sites all within walking distance.
Steps away from Boston Common, freedom trail, theatre district. Clean, spacious just exactly what we needed.
This was a perfect place to stay for our family weekend in Boston. Location was ideal, the apartment is spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. A great host, provided clear and easy to follow instructions and amenities exactly as described.
Great place! Very clean, comfy beds and fantastic location by Boston Common.
This was a solid airbnb in a convenient central location. It's a small 4 bedroom without a ton of visiting space but makes a great crash place for sleep between adventures in urban Boston.
Great place and location. Clean and very comfortable. We had a great time in Boston staying here.
Great location. Good value for money. Do hear some noise from the buses that stop outside over night but not too bothersome. Great communication and flexibility with checkin and checkout. Would definitely recommend.
Location, location, location! Proximity to be able to walk to most attractions was fantastic and the communication with the hosts was fantastic.
Amazing location and space. Highly recommend for any group looking to be in walking distance of a variety of activities including the T to venture further.
We had a group of 7 stay here one night and would highly recommend this place! It's a great size for a group, beds were comfortable, and great location for us. The customer service team was extremely responsive whenever I reached out too.
Great place to stay! Very big and clean apartment and it is very close to the downtown area. The hosts communicated very quickly and helped us a lot!
Everything was great! Place was clean & well located next to the park. Hosts were so impressively communicative!
Great place. Perfect location. Would return 100 times.
exactly as advertised. clean, good location. good value.
Such a great family trip to Boston! The accommodations were perfect - modern, clean, comfortable, and the location can’t be beat.
Listing came exactly as advertised and was perfect for a group of 6-8 people. Great location and rate for Boston rentals. We were missing an iron and ironing board but all messages for assistance were answered promptly and we were brought a replacement by a staff member. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.
Great place overall! Prime time location with access to everything you need in minutes. Would definitely book again!
BEWARE! The elevator isn’t working. We had one in our group that had to go elsewhere at added expense and disappointment. We felt the host wasn’t very honest with us and didn’t even have the courtesy to tell us that the elevator was out of order even as he sent us check in information. The location was great and the place was good. But it was overall a disappointment.
Really nice place to stay for a larger group. Definitely not cheap, but for the location and quality, it's worth it. Very clean and comfortable place, and extremely convenient to get anywhere locally or around the city. It did get pretty noisy outside in the mornings, but that just comes with the territory when you stay downtown. Overall a really nice place to stay with friends or family.
It is a beautiful place near Boston's greater park. Great inside an also the surroundings. only problem was that the elevator did not work. communication was great too
Everything correct
Great stay and cleanliness.
This was a great apartment and the location really good. The downside was that the elevator was not working, since September and we woke up every night because of the noise from outside, often during the night. One of the guest had bed knees and we picked this apartment because of the elevetor. Steven should tell everyone about it beeing broken because there are alot of stairs going to the apartment. But it was a nice apartment and the location good
Was a perfect girls getaway location for a few days. Location was accessible to all transits including high walking score we walked mostly everywhere. Place was accurately described and clean upon arrival. Check in and check out were simple and easy (nice not carrying keys around). Would highly recommend!
The apartment is decorated beautifully and true to the pictures. Very high ceilings and the bedrooms are very large with really comfortable beds and large closets. The location is ideal for walking, or grabbing T-lines (a block away), department store and supermarket on the corner for any needs. Elevator wasn't functioning, so was a bit of a challenge with luggage. OK if you are young and fit, may not be ideal for an older traveler. Owners are super responsive to any needs or questions and answer texts immediately. They seem to have a number of apartments and your exact location is not offered until the morning of arrival. Wasn't a problem at all and their communication is awesome, just note it so you won't be surprised.
Nice 4 bedroom apartment. Easy check-in, great communication, great location, clean. I'd stay here again.
The place was perfect! Amazing location, can walk to plenty of stores, restaurants etc.. No need for a car if you stay here. Really happy with the stay.
The host was very responsive and was willing to accommodate and let me get back after checkout to pick up something I forgot. The place was pretty clean and had all the basic needs for bedroom and restroom. The kitchen had basic wares, but there was no oil, salt, or condiments, but there was a market nearby. Neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, but mostly ok if you walk in groups. It's a very short work to all the food and commercial area. The place was RIGHT next to the park, so was great for a run. Overall pretty good space. We got unlucky, the building elevator was not working, had to walk up the stairs the whole trip. Wouldn't mind staying here again.
Like other reviewers I have mixed reviews. But Steven was great and very responsive. Pros: great location, close to the T, the Commons, coffee and dining, the beds are great, water pressure is good, kitchen has what you need. Cons: the windows are super thin and let in all the street noise including the bus that goes by all night, the elevator doesn’t work, the building as a whole seems really rundown, no where to check luggage if you arrive before check-in
Very comfortable apartment with flexible and supportive hosts.
The place was great and very clean. Good location!
We had a great stay at this apartment. Location is perfect! Steps away from George Howell Coffee, the Commons, and amazing Chinese food! We’d def stay here again. Thank you!
Great place! Location and quality are perfect
The only drawback is the vary late check-in (not before 5 pm!) and the impossibility to leave luggage there... Otherwise great place!
Exactly as listed, great communication
Awesome spot in the city. 1 block from Boston Common and lots of great bars and restaurants within a short walk from the place. Highly recommend!
This place was fantastic. Very clean, had everything needed for an extended stay, or a short weekend trip. The only piece of advice is to bring earplugs, as there is a bus stop outside the apartment that can get noisy in the early morning. However, this was not an issue and did not impact our enjoyment of our stay at all once we got used to it.
Mixed feelings on this property. Pros: great communication with the host - very, very responsive. The location also can’t be beat. Close to Boston Common, public transit and great restaurants! Cons: the elevator doesn’t work and we ended up having to carry luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs which we weren’t expecting, the hot water went in and out during every shower we took (I did notify the host and they said they could send a maintenance person but I didn’t have time to deal with it), one of the bedrooms was only half made when we arrived and the apartment backs up to a very noisy street. Overall I’d recommend if you’re a young group looking for a place to crash for a weekend but wouldn’t recommend if you’re there for more of a quiet family get away.
Great place and location with nice amenities. Host was also very accommodating to questions and requests
Nice place, elevator was broken when we arrived but Steven was very fast at responding (it was late) to tell us how to use the stairs
Great location with affordable price!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! The condo is perfectly situated and very comfortable! Host responded quickly. Would definitely recommend!
Everything was amazing! The apartment is very beautiful and big. The location is great! Steven was in contact all the time for everything that we need. We love our stay.
Nice place, central location. Little noisy with the Silver line on Temple but gigantic apartment, even the bathrooms. Would be great for a group.
great place to stay in the city.
Location is wonderful! Steps from the freedom trail…around the corner from Broadway shows…just downstairs is a wonderful wine store. I also found it super easy to walk everywhere…even Little Italy which I loved. Apartment is just as pictured and comes with all you need.
Excellent location. Great accommodations for a family. Several options for paid parking very close by.
Overall, the physical apartment checked all of our boxes. However, my group and I are leaving a negative review due to one particular incident. A few days into our stay, one of our beds fell apart on its own due to loose or displaced screws. We disassembled the bed ourselves to avoid a potential injury. Afterwards, we messaged our hosts to report the issue and one of them immediately blamed us for the damage. We are confident that we played no part in breaking the bed, considering there was only one petite female sleeping here...and nothing else. I know this may seem like a "we said/they said" situation, but we have the photos and messages we sent the hosts to support our position. We are also an honest group - if we believed we were responsible for breaking something, we would own up to it. After we checked out, I messaged the hosts, asking "Can you please confirm that we will not be charged or otherwise penalized for the bed?" I was not planning on reporting this to Airbnb, asking for compensation, or even leaving a negative review to be honest. I simply wanted to make sure we would not be punished. The hosts said "We've received your message, but I can not give an answer at this time. The manager will need to review the situation and we will follow up with him once he's had a chance to review it. Thank you for your patience in this matter." This was 10 days ago and I am still waiting for this to be resolved. If you are staying here and experience no problems, it may be a good fit. If you encounter safety issues like ours, they may not be easily resolved and you may be blamed for things out of your control.
Had a great stay. Property was clean and tidy. Location is excellent (walking distance to China Town , Quincy Market, Long Wharf, and subway stations).
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
