Great spot! Right next to some amazing coffee shops, breweries, and restaurants. They all close around 9pm so you don't have to worry about noise. The apartment is close to the subway and right across from the bus stops. The best part is that it's just steps away from the Commons and the start of the freedom trail. Tip: no toiletries so bring your own. Use the door that's next to the Brewery because it has an elevator.
We had a great stay at this cute apartment practically on top of Boston Commons! The location was great - so walkable, grocery store nearby, lots of restaurants. We had a few issues with some power outlets that were resolved very quickly. The response time was so quick - thank you! Would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for traveling with little kids. They loved the proximity to the playground and the start of the freedom trail.

We had a good experience. For the number of rooms/people who can stay here the living space is not quite big enough. The place was just like the pictures. It is well located with lots of places to eat for my family. Just a few blocks from china town and also lots of restaurants within 5 minute walk. Also close to the park which allowed for some nice walks outside during nice weather. It was also easily walking distance from the Mass General Hospital which for us was a big bonus. This gave us the ability to come back and rest or get something to eat in between appointments. Thanks so much for the wonderful place to stay.
Steven made this one night job work very smooth. Hotels rooms are crazy expensive for 4 workers in Boston and we decide to rent Steven's apartment. Great call, price is excellent, situated walking distance of everything, clean kitchen, bathrooms and rooms. Can be 4 couples in that apartment and you still have lot of room. Steven instructions were so perfect, check in was smooth and quick. I strongly recommend the place. We'll have to come back in a few weeks, we'll stay there for sure if it's available.
Booked the unit for a work trip for 3 ladies traveling together. Having separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was very convenient. Rooms are minimalist designed but we were only ever there to sleep. Having a kitchen with fridge is very convenient! The location is perfect in Boston so definitely worth it! And their whole team is extremely proactive with communication which is amazing.
This was perfect for us! It’s in a great location in the city right off the Common. There’s plenty to do and everything you’d need around. The apartment was clean, building was easy to access and felt safe. Beds were super comfortable! Our only note is that some things could use some updates-the bathroom fans are super, super loud, shower heads could use a replace, baseboards could use some touch up paint, and microwave could be replaced. Also note the common area is much smaller than the photos make it seem. Overall we’re glad we stayed here and would stay again! For sure recommend!

The best part of staying at Steve’s place was the location, half a block to the Commons and a short cab ride to the wharf / north end area . The local street life may be a little intimidating to some people but we had no issues . Lots of people out and about. I would stay at Steve’s place again.

This place was perfect for our stay. Location, location, location - less than a block from Boston Common & close to a parking garage. Thanks to Steven & crew for advice to use Spot Hero to reserve parking as it was much cheaper. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, we had no problems with building or street noise. Easy access into the building, close restaurants, market & coffee shops. I will definitely stay again & have already recommended this rental to others. Only slight downside is the late check-in & early check-out & the additional cost to change. All-in-all, a great place to stay!

Basic, clean unit. Not a luxury hotel for sure, but it has every basic things you need. The unit is not new, it need some retouch on the wall, shelves corners or doors. The rental price is not cheap, but you just cannot beat its right-in-the-central Boston location. Great for short term tourists. Very communicative hosts. A lot of parking garages are available around.
Great location. Walkable to most attractions, and the train station if you need to go even farther. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes around. The apartment was excellent — clean, spacious, nice kitchen, etc. A/C worked well, comfortable beds, lots of blankets. Hosts were very nice and responsive. We rented this apartment for college tours with our two teens. The apartment is very clean and as pictured. It is near to the Park Street and Downtown Crossing MBTA subway stops, so easy to get around Boston. The area is pretty congested but easily walkable. The apartment is good for four adults who are keeping the same schedule. The bedrooms let in light and sound from the main living area, so people trying to sleep while others are up may have difficulty doing so. Friendly helpful host. I appreciate being able to check in early and check out late for a fee.
This apartment was very centrally located - close to Boston Common/Freedom Trail, a shopping area closed to car traffic, a metro station, bus stop, etc. Steven and team was proactive and responsive. There were 2 coffee shops just a few doors down, and a full-service supermarket was within 5 minutes' walk. It is on a one-way street with not too much traffic and little illegal parking. We were able to stop our car on the shoulder right in front of the building to load and unload people and luggage. The driver must stay with the vehicle at all times, of course. I parked overnight in Lafayette garage (3-4 minutes on foot) - I did not reserve a spot, but there were plenty of space when I entered around 5:30 pm or so on a weekday. The Boston Common parking garage is not too far, either (about 10 minutes' walk through the park). Five of us stayed comfortably in the unit. We did not recognize noises from neighbors. We will stay here again if we return to Boston.
My friends came to visit me in Boston and this airbnb exceeded all of our expectations! The location was perfect, walking distance to multiple neighborhoods including the North End and Back Bay. The apartment was spotless, had plenty of room for a large group and felt safe. Steven was attentive to our needs and best of all, our stay contributed to a great cause (healing homes of boston). I highly recommend staying here when you come visit the city:)

This place was a perfect place to walk most of Boston from. We only took an Uber or Metro a couple of times. Apartment had a couple of issues that the hosts resolved right away while we were out. No idea if this was a good deal for Boston, but compared to 2 Hotel rooms it was cheaper. The conveniences were worth the price for a family of 5.

This place is the perfect spot for your Boston stay. It is close to at the top attractions like Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, Chinatown, etc. It's also close to all the subway stops so it makes it really easy to get around. The apartment was clean and tidy and the instructions to get in were accurate and convenient. Stephen and his team are very responsive to any messages to address any questions or concerns. Only thing I could say was a downside was the toilet paper holder and towel rack. Both towel racks were flimsy and the toilet paper holder was missing and/or not in the best spot. Easy fixes with over the door racks/standalone toilet paper stands. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Steven’s place was the perfect spot for our friend’s weekend trip to Boston- it was located conveniently outside of the Boston Commons, in walking distance to the train, parking, restaurants and bars. The building could use an update, but it was very clean!! Overall our stay was great & exactly what we expected!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb. It is kept very clean and tidy. The location is perfect. It is situated within a short walk of some great cafes and restaurants. The apartment could use a few more mirrors and the living quarters a bit small. There are also some neighbors that got a bit noisy and bothered some of our light sleepers in our group. But overall if functions as a perfect base of operations for a visit to Boston.

The apartment was perfect for our family. It was very clean and in an ideal location for getting around Boston. The directions provided were very easy to understand and we enjoyed our two days in Boston.
The location was as advertised. It had all of the basic needs. Neighborhood is a little rough at night. My only recommendation would be to enter to the right of the bldg versus left as that is where the elevator is. We didn’t realize that and had to carry all of our luggage up 5 flights with my senior parents.
The place is as described - no more, no less. The actual apartment is nice and clean, but the building itself is a bit shabby. Although it’s centrally located, I didn’t find it the nicest area of Boston

This place was fantastic. My travelling Companions selected the early check-in. We had mid-afternoon appointments. The team at Steven's place was very responsive. The apartment complex has an elevator. The apartment itself was very simply furnished but functional. The kitchen had a refrigerator, cupboards filled with cups, plates, bowls, and silverware. The sitting area is small. The apartment is well lite. Lots of overhead lighting and some softer lightening in the four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms next to each other. The showers are easy to get in and out. A white tea shampoo was provided. The bathrooms were spotless. The bedrooms had closets, a bed, and side table. 4 great pillows (an accent pillow) on a very comfortable bed. The comforter was very soft. Make sure to read rules...very easy to follow. Other reviews complained of noise...I heard nothing. The area is filled with restaurants and shopping. T stop is close as well as underground parking on the Commons. I rate A plus.

Each room had one queen so you need to be willing to bunk up if there's 8 of you. 2 full bathrooms was more than enough however no bathtub if you have little ones. Kitchen was sufficient with basics. Living room could use more comfy seating unless you like sitting on a barstool all night. There were 6 adults so 3 sat on the sofa and one on the chair. Bedrooms face alley so be prepared for noise in the late hours.

Outstanding location. clean comfortable place and the host is very responsive. If you are looking for more than 2 bedrooms this is a rare find. The building is old and the apartment is on a high floor. I stayed with my wife and two adult children. We enjoyed our stay.
The unit was just as pictured. It was clean. However it left a lot to be desired. There was no hot water (which isn’t controlled by the host), the linens were clean but stained, and the building was in disrepair (again, nothing against the host). Definitely no frills (nope, you won’t find paper towels here). Also, the listing was a little misleading and the host changed the listing after we booked the non-refundable property. Beware that this location is in the middle of everything, but parking may be several blocks away with an unexpected cost of $100 per night—again nothing to do with the host, just an unexpected expense. And you may have to carry luggage up nearly 100 steps.
Place was nice and location was good. However, there was a window at the fire escape that was broken, leaving that room feeling very exposed and unsafe. We notified the property manager right away, who said they would let the maintenance person know. It was never fixed and we never heard from the maintenance person.

The place is as advertised. 4 equal sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen was well appointed and living room was fine. No elevator working…at least for renters. Building is under renovation so the stairwell is not the cleanest. Since the elevator was not working and has not been in quite a while we needed to walk up close to 85-90 stairs to get to our unit. Check in time is 5:00 and Checkout time is 10:00 AM. I was told I could check in earlier but would need to pay a $50 fee. Overall it’s in a great location and will be much better when the elevator is fixed and the renovations are finished.

Was a nice place, could use a little TLC but overall was nice. The only downside was that it is on the 5th floor and the elevator did not work. So it was not fun having to drag the suitcases up 5 flights of stairs. I would stay there again, especially if the lift is working.
Steve was communicative and the apartment was in a good location but the building is quite dated and in need of renovation. We anticipated that the elevator was broken and would need to walk up but the entire building needs repairs. The stairwell carpets were very stained and dirty, the bannister had broken parts, the walls were beat up and when we arrived there was garbage in the stairwell which left an odor. The apt itself also needed many repairs. There was no toilet roll holders in either bathroom, the towel bar was on the floor, one of the mirrors was not affixed properly and was at child height so not very useful, thermostat worked but dangled from the wall and when we pulled a kitchen drawer out it completely fell apart. The particle board looked like it had been stapled on. Overall, it felt more like old college dorm housing than someone’s well tended to home. I suspect the mgmt company would have come fixed had we called, however the fixes required are significant.
You get what you expect. Apartment needs some maintenance and instructions were not 100% correct but still easy to find and well located. Good option.

Very well located apartment, clean and comfortable beds. The access is with a code which makes check in easier, and also is better so that everyone can get in and out independently. The apartment has 4 bedrooms with a double bed each. The beds are comfortable but are not very big. The only con is that it is a 5th floor without elevator.
The airbnb in Boston was a great location to see and do all of Boston. We were able to walk the Freedom Trail which began at the park basically outside our door. So many great bars and restaurants and shopping within steps of the airbnb. We were able to celebrate New Years Eve and enjoy the fireworks at Boston Commons and at the Harbor. Yes, it is five flights of stairs and with luggage it is not fun, but if you know it going in, make the best of it :-) Steven was a great host.

The location of this apartment was PERFECT, we were walking distance from everything we wanted to do, coffee shops nearby, bars/restaurants, shopping and there was a beautiful park across the street for morning runs as well. The apartment was also very clean & the beds were super comfy. Communication was on point for anything we needed & it was very easy to locate and get into the building. My only complaints would be that the hot water in one shower, will not work while the other shower is running. With 7 of us staying there, this made things a bit tough when the time came to get ready to head out. The Bnb is also on the 5th floor of this building and the elevator was out of order. Carrying luggage up and down was tough & it was quite the hike up each time we came back. Overall, this was a great place to stay in the heart of Boston & we had an amazing time! The space was the perfect size for our group, living room was small but we didn’t spend much time in the apartment anyways.
It is an amazing spot for those who wants to spend a lot of time at downtown Boston. All landmarks are close, many restaurants, Boston Common park. Apartment has everything for a short-term stay. For a long-term you should want to think regarding your laundry options. Steven and his team are great hosts. All communications and instructions were clear and polite. We enjoyed our stay in Boston. Great location! Comfortable beds and good common space. It’s a great location but the elevator was broken, and looking at other reviews it seems like it’s been broken for a few months. It is a 5 story walk up if the elevator doesn’t work, pretty steep with luggage but fine otherwise. And both showers can’t be running at the same time, as one doesn’t get hot. Nice to have have two bathrooms though. We just used one for showering & the other being toilet and mirror.

Great location. Unit needs some help. Shower water pressure and water temperature regulation was not working in one bathroom. Our party of 7 shared one working shower… Prior to booking, confirm if the elevator was fixed. Walking 5 flights of stairs is no fun in whatever physical condition you are in.

Steven’s place was enjoyable for our few days visiting Boston. The apartment is simple, but had what we needed. We enjoyed plenty of space for our group of five, the two bathrooms were a nice feature. Prospective visitors should be aware that it’s a fifth floor walk-up. Right across from Boston Common. We had great food options on our block. We explored Chinatown 10 min walk away and the aquarium also just 10 min away. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location right next to Boston Commons. Easy access with a code and they were kind enough to let us check in a little bit early. Be mindful that at the time the elevator wasn’t working so it was a 5th floor walk up. We knew in advance and were prepared so no issue. Would absolutely book again in the future.
The listing stated the elevator would be out of service UNTIL September . We arrived in LATE September to find the elevator was not working. In addition, there appointments of the unit were bleak. Bedrooms with no dressers or area rugs. Ceiling lights with bulbs unscrewed because the led lights were cheap with harsh light. One small picture on each bedroom wall, except for one room with nothing on the walls.

The good- ideal location for exploring Boston. You can walk to most of the attractions download and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Beds are comfortable. Host is very responsive and communicates well. They also stated that they work with local non-profits to provide subsidized lodging to families travelling for medical needs. So booking with the host will help out a good cause as well. The bad- property is in need of some basic maintenance. Floors are badly scratched and look dirty. The mirror in one of the bathrooms was just sitting on the sink and not being hung properly. It could tip over and it's a hazard. There are mold on the bathroom wall near the shower. The white shower curtain is pink at the bottom which indicates bacteria. The property is advertised as having washer and dryer. It turns out that they are not in the unit but in the basement. There is an option to choose whether the washer and dryer are in unit or in building when listing the property but the host chose to not specify it. Since the elevator is out of service (as all other reviews mentioned), you'll have to climb 5 flights of stairs to do laundry (basement to 5th floor). The worst- apparently the ductwork for the entire building is somehow connected. Every evening when we returned to the place, there was a strong smell of foods that last throughout the night, as if we were living in a commercial kitchen. Not sure if it's from the restaurants at the street level or from neighbors making their dinner.

The location is great and having 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths was a plus! Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets. The living area and kitchen are small, but worked since we were out all day site seeing and eating. There is only one TV and no dressers in the bedrooms. Was not a fan of living out of a suitcase and with 5 people we were all forced to watch the same thing. Unit is on the top, 5th floor, of the building and the elevator was out. Not an issue for us, but make sure it is working if a concern for you.

It’s a lovely and clean apartment located in down town. It’s so close to everything. Communication is easy with our host. Steven is very responsive to our request. The only drawback is the elevator is not working. However, our host sent someone to help with our luggages.
Nice apartment. Great location right next to Boston Common. Building is quiet and cleanish. Neighborhood feels cool and fun. Elevator still out of service which was challenging. Don't bring anyone who isn't able to walk, climb stairs to this Air bnb. Parking- you have to make sure to read the instructions and look for parking ahead of time. We parked around the corner and it was $40/day for the covered garage parking. The bedrooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The common area really is cramped - no where to really gather in the apartment, which is ok, I just think it is worth mentioning. We had 7 people in the apartment while we stayed and the bedroom spaces will allow for that, but you will not be able to sit around and chat easily in the apartment - someone is always sitting on the floor. Overall, for our group, I would not likely stay in this apartment again, but I think for a group of young people who want to experience the city of Boston, this is a great choice.

We had a great time at Stevens apartment during our quick visit to Boston. The unit was very clean and located in a great area. The communication with Steven was also amazing, always replying thoroughly and within minutes. The only bad thing was the elevator was broken during our stay. Luckily it didn’t unpack our trip much. This 4 bedroom apartment was perfect sizing for our 7 member family going to Boston to attend a graduation. The location was central to all of our sight-seeing ambitions, near restaurants, cafes, the T transportation and many sights including the park area of the Boston Common. The apartment was clean with all the basic amenities, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The only downfall was the elevator being out of order, so be prepared for that!
The apartment itself was very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated having 2 bathrooms. It was also a convenient location. The main problem for us though was that we were on the 5th floor and the elevator was out of service and had been for several months according to the management office. My husband had just had knee surgery, so this was a big hassle. As well, the lobby and stairwell were disgustingly filthy.
I agree with some of the other reviews. Great location, clean, quiet and amazing communication. The elevator wasn’t working and the stairs are no joke - but I think elevators are often not working in Boston. The living area is small. There is not enough comfortable seating for 8 guests in the common area, again typical Boston housing.
The unit was easy to find and check into. It had everything you could need and the hosts were quick to respond to our messages with any questions we had.
Location is nice and the rooms are as advertised. Two issues that I had during my stay was that the elevator was broke the host was unavailable to bring a change of sheets and towels. Communication was poor.

This was a really nice unit on the fifth floor and it was very spacious and clean. The host was quick to respond and answered all of our questions and accommodated our early check-in. The only drawback was that the elevator was broken and the stairs were numerous and steep. It is clear in reading the reviews of this unit for at least the last two months that the host was aware that the elevator was broken, yet they did not notify us or include in the description of the unit or the check-in instructions. They did apologize for the inconvenience once asked about it.

Very well located appartement, best location to visit Boston. The 4 bedrooms are roomy and they all have a comfortable double bed. The 2 bathrooms are new and equipped with a large shower. The host was really reactive in all interactions.
This place is conveniently located right off the Boston Common. The hosts are very nice, excellent with communication, and respond within minutes. The unit itself is very clean and had all we needed for our short stay.
This apartment is in a perfect location for site-seeing in Boston. With 4 separate bedrooms it was perfect for sharing with our grown daughters and friends at a very economical rate for Boston. The living area is not large but if you are planning on spending time out and about most of your day it is definitely very manageable. We were able to walk so much of Boston from this location and enjoy Boston Common and the park frequently. There are great coffee shops and Cafe Bonjour just steps away, which we enjoyed so much. The only hitch in our stay was that the elevator in the building was not functioning while we were there and the apartment is on the 5th floor. If your group has any mobility issues - I would definitely check that the elevator is fixed before booking. Our young adults had no issues climbing the stairs, but for us 50 somethings it did limit our return trips to the room. The hosts are VERY responsive. They were a pleasure to work with.
Fantastic location for most everything you'd want to see as a tourist in Boston! Clean apartment; plenty of room for our party of 5, and it can sleep up to 8 people. Host was accessible for communications. Be aware that at this time (March, 2022) the elevator is out of service, and a resident told us it won't be repaired until at least October, 2022. If you are mobility-challenged, it's quite a hike up to the 5th floor. Still, we loved having the apartment for our stay!
The accommodation was clean but the TV & router did not work, the electric outlets on one wall were completely out, and the wifi was spotty at best & very slow. There were no extra garbage bags. And, there was not even salt/ pepper or any basics at all. The microwave above the stove did not work and smelled like smoke when run (unbeknownst to a teen that turned tied using it). There was not signage indicating it was broken... but there was a 2nd microwave on the counter. Finally, the accommodation was on the 5th floor and the elevator broke the first night of our 4 day stay. Despite outreaching about all of this on our first night none of it (sans extra garbage bags on day 2+) was fixed during out entire stay. And as of yet, I've heard nothing about any type of refund.
Great location with the apartment as described. Small bedrooms but with plenty of space for a family, group of friends, or a few couples. Definitely recommend!
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Boston. The apartment was perfect - amazing location, clean, it had everything we needed including lots of fluffy towels which was nice since we had a 3 year old and 5 month old in tow. We also loved the location. Easy to walk to everything. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely love to return. Hosts were wonderful, helpful and accommodating. communication was clear and easy to follow. Very happy.
The location of this place is incredibly fantastic. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, it does work for sleeping 8 people. It does not, however have proportional living- common area space or even seating for that many people. If you choose it, plan to use it as a base for exploring downtown Boston but not as a place to hang out with your friends or family.

Despite only being a 3 bedroom apartment, this space was easily able to host 6 guests. A very clean and comfortable setting with easy access to restaurants and public transportation.
Was a great location next to Boston Commons and an amazing value for so many bedrooms. The bedding was soooo comfy!
This is a good location central to Boston and finding another location for a similar price for four bedrooms, is quite difficult. Lots of great small spots nearby, and you’re only a 20 minute walk to the north end and next to a bunch of public transportation to get you around the city. This is a minimalist stay, with that being said. Better towels, toilet paper, and a fitted sheet on the bed would make this place a full 5 star rating.

Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
