This apartment is located on a small side street that borders the Bay Village and Theatre District neighborhoods. 99 Walkscore. Very Safe, very local! Walk to the South End, Beacon Hill, Back Bay and North End all within 10-15 min. You're minutes from both the Green line and Orange Line T stations.
Bay Village is a tiny residential neighborhood wedged between the South End, Back Bay and Theatre District. Quaint, tree-lined blocks lit by gas lamps feature impeccably preserved redbrick row houses dating from the 1800s. Check out Mike and Patty's for a breakfast sandwich! They're the best in town... but expect to wait an hour!
Boston's Theater District will hopefully be bustling with energy in the evenings. As Boston reopens, Broadway hits, opera and dance are staged at a cluster of venues, including Emerson College’s ornate Cutler Majestic Theatre and the historic Boston Opera House. Comedy and music acts perform at the Wilbur. Low-key pubs, wine bars and modern bistros draw theatergoers and guests from nearby hotels. A few thumping nightclubs draw a stylish young crowd.
Here is our guide filled with information for getting around the city and beyond! n nDowntown Boston is easy to navigate. It’s compact walkable has an abundance of taxis yes they still exist! And Uber's are always a tap away. What makes Boston so accessible is it's public transportation system. Driving downtown can be a challenge with its dated road layout and limited parking options but it’s the most convenient option for travel outside of Boston Proper. n nThe MBTA is Boston’s public transportation system and it’s a great way to get around quickly and cheaply. The “T” refers to the subway which runs throughout Boston into Cambridge and into nearby suburbs providing access to all the attractions located in Boston. Just look for the big T in a circle to find a stop. n nYou can also take buses to get all over the city and the Commuter Rail is an easy way to get to points outside of Boston. You can buy paper “Charlie Tickets” for single or multiple subway rides at vending machines located in most stations. When your ticket runs low visit a fare vending machine to add value. A single basic fare for the T is $2.75 with a Charlie Ticket although if you pick up a Charlie Card (a plastic card like a credit card) the fare is lower at $2.25 for one way. You can load the Charlie Card with an amount of your choosing so it's smart way to explore the city. They're available at almost every T stop and are free to get. Once on board hang on! Being one of the oldest public transportation systems in the country the T is not always the smoothest ride. n nParking. or Paahking is hard to find expensive (by most tourists accounts) and is best done in lots or garages for peace of mind. Please check out a website called Spot Hero to find the most updated options and prices!

This unit is in the perfect location. We were able to walk to everything in the city from Fenway Park to the Harbor and everything in between. The unit was super clean and very comfortable for two people. The only downfall is that the building itself smells terrible. If you have a sensitive nose this may not be the unit for you. Once inside the actual apartment you were in the clear but stairs and landings up to the unit are littered with pet hair and smell accordingly. Obviously nothing the owner of this airbnb can do about it so overall 5/5 stars.
We loved the location much more than expected and walked to everything! It was a great central landing spot. Street and garage parking was easy, space was clean and had everything you need, and it was easy to access. This alley does have a few bars that we took advantage of too if you’re in to night life.
Great place to stay for our short stay in Boston. Great location with many walkable areas including the Boston Public Garden. Also right by the green line making it easy to venture further out if needed. Steven was very quick and responsive to any questions. Place was also very clean and comfortable to stay in. Would highly recommend and stay there again if we came to visit again.
Steven was a great host and very communicative. The place had a convenient location to Boston Commons and many neighboring restaurants. The apartment was nice and worked out well for us.
Highly recommended. I loved the apartment. The place is fantastic, everything you need to feel at home. You have all you need, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen with all you need to prepare meals, a dinning table, a nice big living room with a smart tv. In the basement there’s a laundry room, you can use quarters or download the app. The apartment is really close to convenience stores, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clubs, the train and bus station, anything you need. If you use Uber the pick up is really easy, if you use public transportation there are a lot of close train lines and bus stops. Just two blocks from the public gardens and Boston common.
I couldn’t lock the door for two days !!
Steven's place was clean and convenient! Steven was very responsive whenever we communicated and I was glad to know that our stay supported housing for people speaking medical treatment. Two things to note, there is no elevator in the building and the apartment is on the third floor, just be prepared to bring your suitcase up and down. Also, the apartment building is attached to night club that will play music until 2am, but only on the weekends, including Sunday night. Every other night was quiet and private. Overall, a great stay!
Exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect - right by Chinatown and super close to the Commons.
For a one night stay, less than 24 hours, the apartment was fine. The location was great, close to parking garages, and felt safe. The only complaint is that there was no 24 hour news station (MSNBC or CNN) for free on the tv. I would stay again when in Boston.
Would not stay again. The unit is described as being "on a quiet side street" when they share a wall with Icon Nightclub. They “disclose” this but misrepresent as it states the club is "nearby" when it in fact shares a wall. I have a video of my husband’s water bottle shaking on the night stand from the base. Probably due to the club, and being in an alley called “shear madness alley” the door stall also always smells like pee. They clearly warn and state that the unit is on the 3rd floor so why not be transparent about the club noise? Club is open Thur, Fri, Sat, so stay during the week and it’ll be a fine stay.
It was an amazing place to stay with walkable food options, and easy access to public transportation. The only problem we had was on Saturday night there was a club below the building which shook it into the late morning, but it only happened one of the nights. Otherwise it was an amazing stay and I would 100% recommend
Great stay, very comfortable stay with comfortable sheets and responsive host.
Great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and as described. The host was welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!
This is a great location and everything inside the unit was wonderful - nice size for two people, fully stocked, clean, etc. The only downside is that it is located next to two nightclubs so if you are sensitive to late night noise and/or base vibrations this may not be a good choice for you. This is clearly stated in the description of the unit so it wasn't a surprise to us. I slept through all of it but my husband did not so your experience may depend on how heavy you sleep.
This place was perfect for me and my kiddo because of the location. We were able to walk home from the Wang Theater and the location was extremely convenient! However when you walk in to the building you get hit with the smell of dog urine (out of your control probably) but it was not pleasant so it was hard to not consider the cleanliness of the space. However the bathroom and kitchen were extremely clean. It was an overall nice stay! Thank you 😊
Great location for exploring Boston. Close to Boston Commons and the T, this spot felt close to much of the city. As others said there are clubs below so the music was LOUD on Friday and Saturday night and present on Sunday. The rest of the week was just normal city sounds. If you are sensitive to this sort of thing, this unit is not for you, but we used earplugs and had no issues. Good amenities with a full kitchen and access to laundry. This was a convenient location for our week long.stay!
Great place, close to everything, loved it.
Good location and responsive host. Night club close to the place was a little loud but we didn’t mind!
Very central place - however located above 2 night clubs so you can expect some noise in the evening until 02:00 AM
We had a great time and a wonderful stay here! We were so close to everything and can truly walk to all locations. Would definitely stay again!
I spent a week in Boston and was looking for a walkable airbnb from all the major attractions. The place fulfilled this requirement and all together I felt comfy in the airbnb. It had everything I needed and the host reacted quickly to a problem that occurred with the dish washer. Unfortunately, the location right next to a night club made it abusively loud Thursday through Sunday evening until 2 am. For light sleepers that’s a bit of a problem. The price is pretty high, but as I understood it parts of the proceeds go to a charitable foundation, so that fact makes up for it. I felt like I had everything I needed and was able to walk to places and take the public transport from Boylston or park street which both of them are only a 10 minute walk away.
I gave this place every opportunity to rectify the issues we encountered at our stay here but they refused to do so. If you stay here, please know that they think it’s perfectly acceptable for the alarms inside of the unit to go off at 5:00 am, waking you out of your sleep and forcing you to run downstairs in the freezing temperatures. Their solution is for you to just unplug the fire alarm, leaving us in an unsafe apartment. They told us time and time again that their management team would be contacting us; that never happened. We spent a lot of money to enjoy our vacation in Boston and this air bnb ruined our trip. I highly advise you look into other options before spending your money here.
this place was very close to a lot of activities and very easy to find! The hosts were really kind and responsive. The place does look a bit better in photos but not significant. One thing to know is our fire alarm was going off without it being triggered, and the host were quick to respond and address the issue (even though it ended up going back off again soon after). We also unfortunately had something go missing once housekeeping tidied up our room (nothing too important) - the hosts were very responsive to this as well but we unfortunately never found the item. Overall, the hosts were attentive, kind, and quick to respond. The street we were on seemed a little sketchy, but it was close to a lot of fun things and we enjoyed our stay!
Very nice place
Great place for a great price in a great location!
There is nothing wrong with this place and the location is great. But it is marketed as “quiet”, yet it shares a wall with a nightclub and on Friday and Saturday it was impossible to sleep until after the bars close at 2. That was disappointing.
Everything about the apartment itself was good; the issue is the location which seemed great at first. Wednesday night was nice and quiet, but Thursday night on was a nightmare with noises from a club a couple of doors down. The entire building shakes with the beat of the music and then when it shuts down at 2 am the real noise starts; yelling, fighting, car horns beeping. It went on for hours. We checked out Sunday so I'm not sure what nights the club is open. There's another club in the opposite direction so we could hear noise from that one too. A good set of ear plugs might solve the issue. Again, the apartment itself is nice!
Responsive host but the location was noisy.
Amazing stay and great location if you want to do something
Nice spot and good area - very clean and well stocked
If you don't mind not having the chance to sleep well, this place is okay. If you don't mind having extremely loud music and windows of the room shaking because of the extremely low music, this place is okay for U. Otherwise consider choosing other apartment.
The apartment was clean, well-organized and exactly as described. The location was excellent and we were able to walk pretty much everywhere. I would definitely stay here again.
Be aware that there is a nightclub next door which is open on Friday and Saturday nights until 2am. Their music vibrates the entire apartment building. Earplugs were no match. If you’re there on other nights of the week, it’s not an issue. If you’re planning on going out and won’t get to bed before 2 anyway, it’s not an issue. Other than that, great and convenient spot.
The location is excellent- close to public transportation and walkable to many points of interest. Very clean and perfect size for two!
Great location Good value for money
Super location. Three floors up may be difficult with luggage for some users.. There are clubs nearby.
This was a great little condo with everything we needed. It was clean, in a cute neighborhood within walking distance to so much including Boston Commons. Bonus was the little dog park around the corner.
This is in a bustling neighborhood with lots of very late nightlife. There is access to laundry machines, but it costs money over-and-above what the cost is to rent the place. The communal areas need new painting and carpeting, but inside the unit, it is nice, clean, and comfortable.
Great stay close to everything. Clean easy to find. Responsive pleasant host!
There is NO washer or dryer in the apartment as listed on the ad. Rather, they are shared facilities three floors away in the basement and require coins or app to operate. Despite several attempts at resolution, the promised email response was never forthcoming. As others have mentioned, there are VERY noisy nightclubs downstairs which operate Thursday to Sunday. There were some odd exposed wires in the wardrobe also.
We enjoyed our stay here. Well appointed and clean. If you’re looking for middle of no where quiet this is not for you. Located in the middle of the theatre/entertainment district this place is a bit noisy at night but we did so much walking and exploring that we had trouble falling asleep. Close to food, transit and tourist hotspots you can’t go wrong with this accommodation. Plus the proceeds go to a great cause! We will be back! Thanks for making our Boston getaway superb!
The place was super clean and as described. It is in a busy neighborhood right in the heart of downtown. Steven was very communicative and helpful!
Perfect location, very clean! We loved it!
Perfect location, very clean! We loved it!
great place, great host! great location very walkable. Disco downstairs is very loud at night on the weekends
Great place to stay for local nightlife and walkable to Boston Common
Great place, close to everything, safe area.
Place was in a central location. Linens were clean and had extras for use. Kitchen was stocked with essentials. Building is very secure. Can be a little noisy at night with nightlife but totally not a deal breaker. Host was responsive. Would recommend for a quick trip in Boston
Great location as a base for visiting the many sights of Boston. Bring earplugs to sleep through the night.
Great spot downtown in the mix. Close to bikes, metro, shops, restaurants, we loved being close to the Boston common. I have never visited the area, so knowing the parking situation ahead of time would have been nice but other than that, we had a great stay. Thank you for being so accommodating.
Absolutely what we needed, a great place from which to explore Boston and communication was superb.
Apartment matched the description and photos. Owner charges for pet clean up and early check in. Conveniently located, close to everything in Boston and walkable to Boston Common, BUT beware if staying on a weekend. The building is next door to, and shares wall with a nightclub. Both nights we stayed, the unit was vibrating from the extremely loud music from the nightclub. Tons of people outside the front windows waiting in line for the nightclub coming and going can also be quite loud. I understand staying in the city can be loud, but this got to be excessive after midnight. Otherwise, apartment was clean and comfortable.
Great stay, everything was exactly as stated and VERY CLOSE to everything we wanted to enjoy, from the Boston Commons to the Freedom trail. Being set off the main street made for quiet and restful nights without giving up the convenience of being in the center of the city. We had a slight issue with the automatic door lock (heads up pull the door tight when the lock starts to engage). Steven not only answered quickly, but had a service man come out to check the lock as well as give me a tutorial to ensure I had no further problems. Great stay, and will definitely book again.
Great location, near to everything.
It is a really cozy place with all the thing you need. We only stayed there for one night but we felt relaxed, and welcomed. Loved the place and would definitely try to book again when I go to Boston in the future!
Comfortable space and very convenient to easily get anywhere in Boston. The place was just as described.
I just stayed a night for sleep, but the place is great, well located, easy access, great for couples visiting Boston!
It was a beautiful 1bedroom apartment. Specious and clean. It had everything I needed. And the best part is that its location! It’s just perfect! I had to change my check in time several times due to the flight delays and cancellation but they were so flexible and the response was so quick. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Boston!
Great location! Steven’s apartment was clean and centrally located. Only thing I would recommend would be a TV in the bedroom. Everything was excellent!
Pricy as anywhere in Boston, but it is definitely worth the money. The hosts are very helpful and responsive, and the place is sharp and it is located very close to practically all the main attractions.
I stayed at this apartment for 2 nights and it was perfect. Very spacious apartment with a nice sized living room and bedroom. It was very clean. The only downside was construction on the street so driving down there was sometimes tricky but we walked most of the time. Steven was a great host thank you again!
Great place, can be extremely loud on friday nights from the club downstairs but it was fine every other day.
Great apartment, had a problem with the automatic lock but they fixed it.
Noisy during weekend nights because of nearby clubs. Otherwise well located and clean.
Great location and value,
The location was good, quick walk to many places we wanted to see. The apartment was okay, a bit run down and the area / road / alley was very loud, which was a bit unexpected. It went beyond sirens and traffic to loud, booming music and yelling crowds in the alley. Again, good spot for its location.
Really enjoyed the place. Thanks Steven!
It was a very nice Airbnb for two people to stay. The place is very central location in Boston. It is easy to walk to the park, shopping areas, restaurants and public transport. We find the parking easily. There are also nearby stores like CVS for emergency needs. We had a nice stay. The flat is spacious, has all sorts of kitchen tools & equipment. The bathroom and rooms were very clean. We would book this place again in the future.
Basic but no issues. Great location. Easily walkable to public transportation, shops and dining. CVS and 7-11 across the street is a big plus. Good for a short stay for 1-2 people. Could use a little more storage but that’s minor considering.
The location was great - it was close, within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. The apartment itself was cozy, clean, and well-appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The building entrance and hallways were dingy and dirty and upon entering the apartment and seeing the condition of the bathroom decided to forfeit the excessive cost and go to a hotel. I rate this apartment a 2 out of 10
Great little spot in downtown Boston. Had a great visit, working remotely and visiting a friend. Plenty of coffee shops nearby
Neat place with everything you need. Close to Chinatown and Little Italy. So those neighborhoods are definitely walkable.
We were highly disappointed by this rental. The most annoying thing, despite the dirt on some parts of the apartment, was the noise. You have to be aware that a few nightclubs are closed to the apartment, meaning that the entrance after 10pm is blocked by the nightclub line, people drunk and screaming in the street, and the worst, is the background noise that will un allow you to sleep. Go there only if you want to party
This is our second time staying with Steven as a host and once again, we had no disappointments. The location is highly walkable and just a few short blocks away from Boston Common. We enjoyed good communication with the host, the bed is comfortable, and we will be back the next time we are in Boston. Thanks!
This apartment is very centrally located. There are at least two T stops working five minute walking distance from the building. The apartment is cozy and has everything we needed for our stay. Great rental experience for exploring Boston. Thanks!
Great place for a long weekend in the city. Based on other reviews, we knew the space would be loud on the weekend and boy were they right!! Between the noise of people on the streets waiting to get into the club, the base pounding from 10-2am, and the dog running around in the place above ours, I didn’t get much sleep on Saturday or Sunday night. To be clear, I don’t consider myself a light sleeper either. However, based on the the price, the value is still great. Can’t get a better value. Only wish I didn’t underestimate the reviews on noise. Otherwise, easy check in and out process and everything was clean.
The apartment was clean and located in a great part of Boston, close to the commons and downtown. It was very close to Boylston/Park Street for access to the green/red lines. Steven was super easy to communicate with, always responsive, and very helpful during check-in and check-out - both of which were seamless. The bed was also super comfortable (which is always a huge plus) :) Overall we had a great, easy, and relaxing stay and would book again! Many Thanks!
The place is nice, well located (near the bus station). Steven and his team respond very quickly and all of your questions. The only thing that is not very nice is that the check-in is very late (at 17:00) and the check-out early (10:00)
Close to everything in downtown - definitely recommend
Amazing AirBNB, the only thing is that its next to a club so if you are a light sleeper then this might not be the place for you. However, the host is really available and non intrusive
Great host with excellent communication! Steven allowed to check out an hour late and recommended a great service to store our bags with. The location is amazing and only a 10 min walk from the T stop.
Not a bad place for the price. Got the vibe the building was ½ permanent rentals, ½ Air BnB’s. Location was great! Few minute walk to Boston Commons. Laundry room on site which is nice. Bring your own coffee / laundry supplies. 7-11 down the street as well. Active night-life. Late check-in (5pm) & early check-out (10am) which came as a bit of a surprise.
Was a wonderful stay!!! Boston is a beautiful city!
Very clean, true to the pics, and check-in was super easy!
Clean, comfy and convenient place.
nice clean apartment to stay in with communicable and flexible hosts.
Thank you Steven! Great place to stay, clean and Steven was always right there if i messaged him!
Very welcoming, comfortable, and wonderful location. Couldn't have asked for more from our stay!
Great place with a great location in Boston!
The apartment is in a great location for exploring all of Boston! Next to great restaurants and just steps away from Boston Commons Park. One thing to note is the place is right next to a night club and it can get really loud. If you are a light sleeper it is not the place for you. Other than that we had a great stay!
Wonderful communication with the hosts! Clean and great location!
Clean and same as pictures in the heart of the Boston
Accommodation as per photos, well located in the theatre district and well centred. Everything is within walking distance. The kitchen is functional (hotplate, oven, dishwasher, plates, glasses, pans) but no salt, pepper and oil. It is important to note when coming to this airbnb that there is a nightclub underneath and that between Thursday to Sunday inclusive the music and bass can be heard loudly. You need to have a good sleep. Steven and Brian are responsive and available quickly if needed. Back Bay Station is 800m walk away (about 15' walk). Victoria & Cedric
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy, passcodes on the main entrance to the building and the door to the apartment. The location worked very well for us, close to the T, lots of restaurants around. Pictures were accurate, the bed was very comfortable. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night. We were well aware from previous reviews that the club next door would be loud on those nights, but the price reflected that inconvenience. Yes, it was loud, but it didn't bother us too much. The noise is mostly from the people waiting in line to get into the club. I have no idea what it is like during the week days but if you are a light sleeper I would suggest a different Airbnb, at least on the weekends. Steven was quick to communicate. We weren't able to check in early, but he was kind enough to let us drop off our bags we waited. Overall, we had a great time and would stay there again.
Right in the heart of what Boston has to offer.
The location is amazing, I went for a concert to the Fenway Park and there is a Train station near by so you can go technically everywhere. There is a CVS and a store right in the corner. After reading the policies of the al early check in and late check out I reach out and they time of response is phenomenal. Thank you so much for having us! Highly recommend!
The club next to the building does get loud with the music and the people outside. If you need parking, the near by parking spot charges $33 for the day.
Great stay! Ideal location, price, and everything as pictured.
This place was nice, very well located, clean, and we had everything we needed. I got great use of the kitchen. The nightclub next door is loud on the weekend, but we didn't mind. Great spot if you have to do an extended stay!
I ended up staying here needing a place to stay for my graduation at Emerson College, which was located at Park Plaza. This location was perfect, just a short walk from where I needed to be. Outside of my time at Emerson, I was able to walk anywhere in the city and around the harbor as well as everything was within a 30 minute walk. Anytime you stay somewhere in a city, security can sometimes be questionable and something to think about, but I felt SO safe at this location. I absolutely loved the 3 layers of security and felt very safe here. The property managers were very responsive to every message I had sent, which was very much appreciated. Overall, this place is perfect and I would definitely stay here again if I come to Boston. 10/10 recommend.
The place worked fine for our short trip.
This was the perfect place to stay in Boston, close to fantastic restaurants, transportation options, and the airport. The hosts were responsive and attended to me as soon as I arrived and helped with a technical issue on the AIRbnb app. Thank you Steven and Brian for making my stay so enjoyable. FYI, it was quiet and the bed was incredibly comfy. Slept. So. Well. I will definitely stay again. FIVE STARS all the way.
Great host, clean stay, amazing access to China Town
Fast communication, great location, clean.. the list goes on!
Excellent spot, easy check in and prime location near the Boylston stop on the green line. Easy access to freedom trail by foot and, by train, Cambridge, MFA, Isabella Stewart Gardner, even Brookline. We really enjoyed our stay and got to see a great chunk of a most beautiful city.
Nice place to stay in Boston Downtown!!!! highly recommend!!!
Great location, it is next door to clubs so friday and weekend evenings are quite loud until late into the night. Great communication from host and great apartment.
If you want to sleep between 10pm-3am Thursday-Sunday don’t book this place. The location is ok, but it’s right by a club. They burry the details about it being near a club, and I wouldn’t have booked had I known it. It was so loud I could sleep for 4 days. Very bad experience.
Great central location, well worth the visit. Very attentive host
Location of the apartment is great, as is the layout. The place was super clean when we got there. Unfortunately, we had a lot of trouble sleeping because of the proximity to the clubs. If you are staying here on a weekend and are a light sleeper, I would look for other options.
The pictures were accurate to the place. The club next door didn’t give us an issue at all but it was a Wednesday. Very nice and clean. Overall would stay again.
Great place, right in the middle of everything, very safe!
Perfect place for a pup. Right by the Common and terrific location to everything you need! Will be back for sure.
This apartment is spacious and centrally located (<10-min walk from Boston Commons) — a great place for access to the city centre. If you’re a light sleeper and/or early-to-bed, I wouldn’t recommend this as the club downstairs is indeed loud. I imagine it would be great if you want to visit Boston in part for the night life. Also, not sure if it’s a good flat if you need reliable Wi-Fi, as we had problems with it (but we weren’t working so NBD). It’s so inexpensive compared to other accommodation available, and while there are definable reasons for that lower price, it’s still a descent place for heavy sleepers / night owls for easy access to the centre of Boston.
This Airbnb is a great find within walking distance to a lot of spots in Boston. Everything was as expected in the description. Steven and his team communicated quickly. The bed is also very comfortable!
Great location. Nice place to stay for a couple of days in Boston.
We had a lovely time, the location was great a bit noisy from the club next door but nothing too bad.
The place is very clean and spacious and in a great location.
Steven was very responsive. The place is clean and just as advertised. Perfect location, a short 5 minute walk from the Boston Common.
Steven has an absolutely wonderful apartment in the BEST location and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Along with the outstanding cleanliness there were towels, blankets, soaps, and other necessities provided. Checking in and out was so simple and if we ever visit the area again I will be looking for one of Steven’s units.
What you see is what you get here. This place is right in the center of all the action so we were able to walk everywhere. The Airbnb was super clean and affordable. We had no issues with anything during our stay because our host was incredible! If you can, I def recommend staying here. 10/10!!
Great host, very helpful! The place was overall clean and comfortable, and the location made it easier to walk around the city.
Great place to stay if you're visiting Boston. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the location was super convenient and really close to everything. Check-in was super easy and the host is also very easy to communicate with and responds quickly to any question you may have.
The response time is honestly the shining star of this listing. Super convenient and timely. The unit was clean, there was everything we needed including towels and soaps, and it made our Boston experience a 10/10. Will definitely be looking to rebook through Steven when we return.
The base from nightclubs in the building next door was extremely loud & shook the windows. Otherwise it was a fantastic place.
This place was very well located, right in the middle of downtown Boston and walkable from many awesome eateries and shops. It was well maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and the check-out/check-in process was extremely smooth. No complaints!
Very great place to stay for a single or couple in Boston. Only complaint we really did have was the noise from local clubs, however, it was St. Patrick's Day weekend so I think because of the holiday was louder than usual. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay again.
Quite enjoyable to stay because it’s so close to everything
This was a great place for our one night stay in Boston. Convenient location near restaurants and bars. We were there a Tuesday night so we didn't hear any noise from the neighboring clubs had been mentioned in previous reviews.
Great location, comfortable apartment, however noisy at night.
Awesome location, just around the corner from the Green line - Boylston stop, also walkable from Park St. - Red line... the Boston Common Park area, right next to downtown. Smart TV has access to tons of main streaming services. Everything is just like photos, very easy check-in, but keypad was Yale brand on this unit and appears blank until touching the top where the lock (Yale button) shows up. Great for one or two people, could squeeze a third with the couch, just be accurate on guest count or there are fees noted in house rules. Hard to beat the price for the location. You will hear upstairs tenants, but aside from that the club noise wasn't an issue from this particular unit. There definitely will be sirens, typical of any downtown location.
Amazing location. 1BR apartment was very cute! Host was very responsive.
BELIVEVE THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE NOISE! This Air BnB is located between not one but two nightclubs. The "quiet side street" detailed in the description is actually an alley for the nightclubs. That was probably why the exact location was not provided until after we paid. There are literally huge lines of people waiting to get into these nightclubs. You will not sleep from 10:30 pm to 3:00 am Thursday to Sunday. The bass from these nightclubs actually vibrates the walls. Even with white noise and noise-cancelling headphones, we still could not get to sleep. In fact, the noise was so loud that we actually left this apartment in the middle of the night and got another room at a nearby hotel. When I attempted to get a refund for the additional two nights I paid for, the host stated that I would have to cancel my reservation for a refund. When I informed the host that you cannot cancel a reservation after check-in, the host stated a refund could not be conducted through Air BnB. Since I had already paid an early check-in fee via Venmo, I suggested we use that medium for a refund. The host declined and stated I was "extorting him" for a refund. Other highlights include a sofa in the living room without any legs, uncomfortable pillows in the bedroom, a clump of hair on the bathroom wall, and a ball of random cables stored in the closet. Overall, this apartment is not suitable for a traveling nurse or a family traveling to Boston for treatment as the host suggests.
The location is hard to beat and the apartment is very cozy.
Great stay, very good price, and very good location. Great communication as well. Our needs were very much met even though we booked last minute.
The host was very accommodating and the pictures are an accurate representation of what to expect. It is a very cute, mid-century modern apartment. The location is not bad at all we were a nine minute walk from where we parked (Boston Common Garage). The space was clean, we felt safe and comfortable. In the rules for the stay it does state that quiet hours begin at 11 pm which is reasonably in my opinion, however there is a club in the building next door. The bass of the music might make it difficult for some to fall asleep. It was not overwhelming by any means just something we found out once foot traffic picked up. Overall a really great stay and time in Boston, would definitely stay here again!
Really great location. Close to good food, entertainment, and T stops.
Excellent communication. Very clean and convenient.
Great place to stay
Big apartment, cleaner than I expected, walking distance to everything you need!
Apartment is clean, nicely furnished, and adequately equipped. A good choice for a short stay.
Everything in the listing is exactly as it appears in the apartment! Great location - super close to so many eateries (dunkin, halal guys - very important), grocery stores, and bars/restaurants. The apartment is very tidy and clean and has all of the amenities listed. Couldn't have asked for a better spot to spend the weekend in Boston!
This place is perfect for inner city. My boyfriend flew us to Boston for a quick trip so as tourists we weren't sure what to expect. But we were able to go sightseeing all over downtown and easily come back to a very relaxing home which is rare. Next time we come to Boston, we're most definitely going to stay here again!
The place was great, checking in was easy, would happily stay again!
The unit was really cozy and convenient. However, the soundproofing was awful. The next door building was in construction and somewhere near it was having a party. We can hear that party starting from 8:00-3:00am, the construction from 6:30 or 7am. Other than that, the heater also produced some noises throughout the night, so if you are a light sleeper, you gotta be cautious.
Clean flat in good location
We enjoyed this space. The check-in was easy and it's central to fun things in Boston. The nightclub next door was extremely loud but we slept through it. Just be prepared with noise cancelling headphones or earplugs.
Locale was good, right downtown near large avenues where you may want to visit. Price was good as you'd expect paying for. However, a few glaring issues. Take serious consideration about the reviews that have complaints about the nightclub right next door. Unfortunately, their activity are random and will even spill into the weekdays. The bass is more prominent in the bedroom than the living room and unless you're a really deep sleeper who's slightly deaf or used to urban white noise, it will disrupt your sleep. The noise will start around 9PM and go until as late as 5AM. The shower unfortunately had grime in the tiles and red mold growing on the bottom of the shower curtains. There wasn't any place within the shower to put soap/shampoo on as well. There are a lot of extra coaxial cables in the bedroom closet. As long as you have the lights on and are wary, you'll be fine from getting cut by the split ends and prongs. Lastly, be aware about the fees. You can check in as early as 2PM and checkout as late as 1PM. But do ensure you can slot that in because if you have to request it later, you'll end up paying a $50 fee for requesting and earlier or later check-in/out. Also standard $200 fee for pets, but that's expected. Otherwise, the apartment is as expected in the pictures. The host replies fast. And the pricing isn't bad as long as you're fine with the noise and ensure cleanliness will not be bad.
Great central location, easy check in process and nice place. It's true that there is a nearby club on the weekend that you can hear, none of us (3 people) had trouble sleeping through it. Good stay with good location
Great easy place to stay in Boston for a quick trip.
This place was very clean and located so close to China Town and downtown! The subway was also very close. Access to the apartment was easy and there is a CVS and 7Eleven right down the street. Area was safe and we enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was perfect for our weekend getaway! Its in a great location. Outside noise was not an issue for us. Would stay again :)
fantastic location, we had a great stay
This is a great place to stay if you want a quiet, clean, and pleasant space that’s close to really good restaurants and sites of interest. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bathroom was spotless and equipped with lots of towels, and the bedroom was air conditioned and quiet. What else could you ask for?
Very convenient location and lots of space for two guests!
Was a nice value to be in Chinatown but would not recommend for light or medium sleepers. Even when the club is not open there is a lot of street and building noise and you can hear everything. There were three flights of stairs with no elevator so it’s not recommended for those with mobility issues either. Host company was communicative and had the necessities. Easy lock pads to go in and out without worrying about a key.
All was as described. Host was communicative and easy to reach. I was there on a week day. The sound of the nightclub nearby (as mentioned by the host) seemed little more than having a dryer running in the next room. Maybe it's more distinct on weekends I don't know, it was no problem for us, but if recommend earplugs for Light sleepers or more sensitive folk.
The unit is great, has everything you might need. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby, so that was great. Only downside was the night club nearby. You can hear the bass and even feel it at times. So if you're a light sleeper this might be a big issue.
Loved the space, it was perfect for the week. Highly recommend.
The apartment was in a great location that made it easy to get everywhere in Boston without a car. It was very clean and comfortable. And yes, the club was loud. To be honest, when I was asleep in the bedroom all I noticed about the club was I could feel the bass. I was able to fall asleep in spite of that and honestly didn't think it was as bad as some of the reviews say.
Very clean and up to date furnishings. Very convenient. On street parking was easy, and safe so we found no reason to pay for a garage. Check in was a breeze and overall we found this to be one of our best Airbnb experiences! Highly recommended and many thanks to our host.
Our stay in this apartment was pretty decent. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Steven and his team were always quick to reply to any messages sent! However, I agree with the other reviewers that the party scene on Friday and Saturday nights is quite aggravating/frustrating. We stayed here a full week and most of the time (M-Th & Sunday evenings), it was quiet and uneventful. However, on Friday and Saturday nights the bar/nightclub next-door was pretty loud. Saturday night was the worst. We could hear the bass from the music thumping through the walls, which finally ended around 2 am. Then, after that things got even louder outside in the alley below with people laughing and screaming, and cars revving their engines and playing really loud music until about 3 am, when it finally quieted down. It was so loud I considered calling the Boston police about the noise but just waited it out. Like I said for the most part our stay was decent, so I wouldn’t completely rule out this apartment, but definitely keep all of that in mind.
Not going to lie, it was a pretty chill and cozy spot. Great location.
The place is just as listed. It is very clean and spacious. The location is central. Steven and the team were very responsive!
The apartment is nice and centrally located in Boston to make getting around super easy. as a few other reviews mention, it is right next to a nightclub and it does get very loud and hard to sleep on Thursday through Saturday nights. it was missing some basic items like paper towels and trash bags. Overall the apartment was nice, just be aware of the possible noise situation.
The apartment is in the city center, with a convenient location to all attractions, and the metro is close. There are cafes and restaurants around, a very beautiful park. There is no view from the apartment window. The building looks like a minihotel with rooms. There is also no supermarket or other European grocery store nearby, only Chinese ones (since Chinatown is nearby). There is no lift in the building, be prepared to carry your suitcases to the 3rd or 4th floor. Garbage is collected twice a week, it needs to be taken out on the street according to the schedule. The common entrance was not very clean. At the building on the 1st floor there is a NIGHT CLUB, be prepared for music and beats coming to you from Fri to Sun .. and loud conversations leaving the club .. The apartment windows are not completely closed due to the air conditioners removed, so the sound insulation is poor , and in the cold season, I think it is blowing and cold, but we were in the summer, so we felt comfortable in the temperature .. if you are traveling with guests for whom you reserve an air mattress (pay for their presence and a mattress in the apartment), keep in mind that bed linen is not supposed (!!!), you have to get it yourself somewhere .. for travelers it is difficult to implement, I think it is unacceptable. In general, the apartment is not very fresh anymore, but you can stay for a short stay.
I would not recommend staying in this unit if you are a light sleeper. A nightclub is located directly next door and seems to share a wall with the unit. You can feel (and definitely hear!) the bass and music up till 2:30am for 4 out of 7 nights (Thursday-Sunday). Otherwise the apartment is pretty much as described, walking distance to most of the main attractions in Boston. Probably okay for a short stay Monday-Thursday.
We stayed here Monday through Saturday. It was close to a 7-11 for any quick essentials and yummy restaurants/ bars. We walked to the Boston commons and rode bikes to the harbor. We did end up getting a rental car for two nights and parked in a nearby parking lot for $30. The parking on the street is minimal. Needless to say the location is great, the place is clean and has everything you need. The only downside is on Friday night the club scene gets rowdy and the unit is above a couple clubs so we had a hard time sleeping Friday, but it wasn’t a deal breaker!
Apartment is okay but incredibly noisy due to the club downstairs (Thu/Fri/Sat night). I had a hard time falling asleep even with my noise canceling headset. The bed was shaking from the bass.
Place was cute and in great shape. Visited in the middle of a heat wave and the air conditioning did the job well. Would give it 5 stars based on location, the quality of the apartment and the communication with the company managing it via the app (never met anyone), but the hallway smells pretty bad and the vomit on the front stoop which predated our arrival was still there when we left 3 days later, so building managment might not be so good.
Great location, easy to go walk around, very neat apartment, has everything you can ask for and the hosts are very helpful.
Good and comfortable apartment and good location. Was not very clean though, the bathroom floor had a lot of hair and a few mugs were dirty. For a hundred dollar cleaning fee, the actual cleanness was quite disappointing. Also someone unannounced entered the apartment while I was there, to drop off something. Ended up not being a problem for me.
Stevens place was impeccably clean and newly decorated. The apartment was incredibly comfortable. The location could not be better and is a stones throw away from the public garden. There are blue bikes on the block for easy transpo anywhere in the city. Thx Steven!
The apartment is in an excellent location & is offered at a somewhat reasonable price. The place wasn’t particularly clean, specifically the bathroom & bathroom towels. The apartment was also missing common sense things like hand soap, body soap and tissues. The apartment is in a large apartment near a hospital so it’s very noisy at all hours. You can hear your neighbors all night.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
