I stay here every time I come to Boston!
Location: Pros: just 1-2 blocks near the Boston Common, CVS 711 downstairs, 5min walk to Liuyishou hotpot, and 7min walk to citizens opera house for nutcracker ballet performance. In middle of everything. To the left /west, walkable to newbury street and museum of arts Boston, Isabelle garden museum; to the right, walkable to Chinatown and downtown nightlife. To the north, need to take a Uber to Harvard/MIT area. Cons: entrance is not luxurious. business parking curbside. Near to 2 nightclubs, one (closed) is uber pickup pin, the other one has some noise during Sunday night. Pet friendly: Love it close to Boston Common and Public Garden. Convenient to walk my dog. They even have a corner fenced dog park behind the apt, it’s super helpful when it was raining and windy crazy in the winter freeze! Environment: Look like the picture, decent for the price. Not too much sunlight and comfortable bed, heater and hot water!
I stayed for a week to attend a conference and I can say it was much better than the surrounding hotels and better priced. Located in the middle of Downtown Boston, you are within walking distance of everything. The kitchen was huge, and clean, and included all the basics to cook your own meals. Care should be taken however for the noise levels on the weekend (associated with the club nearby mentioned on the listing). While there were no issues within the week, on Saturday night I woke up several times due to drunk people causing a commotion outside of said club. All in all however an easy pick for anyone looking to stay in Boston.
Very responsive host, easy to access the apartment, great area! The apartment is located in the theater district, with very easy walks to local theaters, downtown crossing, Boston Commons, Chinatown, etc, etc. In town for the holiday, metered parking available from arrival to departure was great! We stayed in the apartment for a week and it was a very convenient location -- there are plenty of cafes around, a park and various tourist spots nearby. Few things to take into account: – The apartment gets almost no sunlight, even on a very sunny day, and this is different from the photos. – Construction nearby begins at 6-6.30 am, also you can hear the constant noise of the streets around you from the early morning. So if you are sensitive to noise or prefer to sleep longer in the morning, it can be too annoying. – It would be great to have soap or shower gel in the bathroom. The apartment was clean and the instructions for using it were very clear. Communication was easy and helpful. In general it’s a good option i Boston.
It’s a very nice place to stay. All instructions were so clear that I didn’t need to communicate with the host at all. The apartment has everything you need and it’s very convenient location. There’re some bars on the street and some kind of renovation is taking place, so it can be a little bit noisy for someone with a light sleep, though for me it wasn’t a problem.

This space is very well located, nearby the Public Garden and Common. While the space was clean, it is not very updated. Every room, including linens and towels felt clean, apart from the bathroom which simply needs to be updated. The entrance is in an alley way which the line for a club runs right past - the club can be heard in weekend nights, but it comes with being located in a lovely area. No problem sleeping. There are a couple entry doors that require code access to access the building so didn’t feel unsafe, but certainly not a luxurious entry. All in all, I would recommend the space but it was a bit expensive without offering the luxury appeal one might expect at such a price tag. Great location and good communication.
Great stay, we were there for 2 nights. We walked around town, no car needed. Panera was across the block for a quick bite. But apartment had everything we needed to make meals and we were close enough to walk to restaurants and freedom trail and parks.
This place was great-- very close to the T, restaurants, and Boston Common. It had a great selection of kitchen items. My only complaint is something outside the host's control, that one night people made noise on the street for several hours and made it hard to sleep. That only happened one night (a Sunday) so I'm guessing it was a random occurrence. Overall, I was happy and would stay here again (and just bring the earplugs in case).

This is the perfect location to everything! Boston is a very walkable city so everything is under a 30 min walk. Very close to the commons and a lot of good restaurants nearby. People have made comments on the noise but with the AC or fan going I was not woken up once. It’s a cute little spot for a quick get away. Definitely recommend booking parking at a near by garage via spot hero. There’s a few loading zones near and around the building that you can use to drop off your luggage Also there’s a cute little dog park around the corner that was amazing to utilize when I had to take Zuko out to potty. Would love to stay here again.

We stayed for a long weekend, two of us and a 1 yr old. Loved that we found this non-studio place downtown. It allowed us to put the little one down in a pack-n-play in the bedroom while we had the rest of the apartment! It is worth noting that this building sits between two night clubs. We never felt unsafe (even walking down the street with a stroller later at night) and the security guards were quite nice, but you could hear music (bass mostly) and occasional voices from inside the apartment. Between the baby’s sound machine and the window AC unit we had no trouble sleeping. There is plenty to walk to from the apartment, including the Cheers bar! We had a rental car and can confirm to the listing that parking is a little bit of a pain. There are a couple nearby garages which are nice, but expect minimum $30 for 24-hours. Overall, a great downtown option and we would stay again.

Steven and the Healing House Team are very responsive and gave clear instructions. The unit I stayed in was in the first floor. You will feel really secured because of the security locks with password before you can get in the unit. The bed was comfy, the kitchen got all the utensils you need, and it is just centrally located. I just walked my way to wherever I want to go. The T and Uber are good options too, but given that they’re so nearby, you would prefer to walk. When I go to Boston again, I would definitely stay in this unit again. And BONUS, it is a few meters away from the Charles Playhouse and the Wang Theatre.

The place was very clean and spacious. Instructions were clear from the host. Great location, with easy walkable distance to nearby train and bus. There were lovely dog parks close by and convenient stores if you need a quick run to grab something! The kitchen was well equipped. A few suggestions would be an extra bowl (there was only one) and baking sheets. One lamp was dimmer than the other in the living room so we relied on natural light whenever we could during the day. The TV had good streaming and apps like Netflix. We stayed during the weekend and it did get noisy from the nightclubs but that didn't bother us at all. Bring in noise-canceling headphones if you are sensitive to loud street noise. Overall, a pleasant stay and an enjoyable experience!
I loved the location as I was meeting friends and going to a show. The owners were kind and understanding about my last minute need to bring my dog (there was pet fee). It was so nice to have a little dog park around the corner But the clubs and people on the street were incredibly loud until 3-4 am. And some tenants were loud in the building at those hours. Overall, it was great for me albeit I am a bit sleep deprived .

This apartment is in a very nice location in Boston. It is a pleasant walk of about 20 minutes to the convention center. For those who like to run, it is a short urban run to gain access a great run on the river. There is a Whole Foods grocery store about 1/2 way. There are plenty of interesting restaurants within a mile or so of the apartment. I did not take the subway, but there seemed to be plenty of stops nearby. The apartment is located on a street (more of an alley) that is not all that attractive, but it is quiet, and one can get to small park within one block. The apartment is comfortable and attractive. The bed was comfortable. There is plenty of natural light through several windows, but the views consist of the walls of immediately adjacent buildings.
I guess I’m just used to staying in Airbnbs that are homes where the owners are renting. By this I mean Steve’s place had no extras like condiments…not even salt. The fridge was completely empty. If I wanted to cook a meal, it would have had to been a ready made, full of preservatives, which is not my style. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, hot water, gas oven, dish washer, and a fridge that did have one tray of ice cubes. Bed was comfortable, pillows were outstanding. There was an extra comforter, more pillows and more towels in the bedroom closet. Bathroom was clean and compact (the way I like it). It was walking distance to many sights, restaurants, theaters (Blue Men were playing in a theater just steps away) and of course, people watching. It was a very safe neighborhood. Having lived in a downtown area for many years, the early morning garbage removal and construction next door did not bother me. I’ll return

Place was great to stay at. Location was perfect. Everywhere is walkable and within 10 minutes. You hear the traffic outside but it's the city so if you're complaining about that, then don't go to the city!!! It looked like the pictures and we enjoyed our stay. We would book again!
When i come to Boston, I always stay in this apartment. I love it. It’s spacious, has everything I need to cook, location is super convenient and a host is very responsive and caring.
We paid for the location and it was well worth it. The space was very comfortable and conveniently located in the heart of the Theater District. The host made great recommendations and answered any questions we had. Only comment would be a better shower head. You can easily get a handled/removable shower head for cheap at Target or Walmart. Otherwise amazing space and great stay.
My Boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights and it was great. Super easy to find and great location in the theater district, between the back bay and the north end. Only downside was construction going on right next door which got kind of noisy, but that’s out of anyone’s control. I would gladly stay here again or in any other properties listed by Steven! He was a great host; very easy to contact and responded quickly and was overall very friendly.

Took a long weekend trip to Boston for the first time and this was a great place to stay! Walking distance to all the great areas of Boston and the apartment was overall very cozy and perfect for 2 people. Being that the apartment was in a popular location and on the first floor, it did get very noisy at night when trying to sleep (I.e, people yelling outside, car horns, etc). Other than that, had a great stay!

We had a wonderful time in Boston! We stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing! There is a nightclub next door but that didn’t bother us. It was well worth it to have so many food options nearby and the train is only a 5 minute walk or so. Would definitely recommend!
Stayed a night for a concert in Boston music hall, the location is super, and the cost is considerably a good deal. There are five clubs around and I couldn’t hear a bear sound. Though I didn’t use the kitchen, but Steven got literally everything you need in a kitchen, pans and pots all size. So all in all, I had a lovely night in Boston.
Perfect location right in the thick of Back Bay. Very responsive host and easy check in (albeit late). The street has a couple of nightclubs which means you can hear some bass but didn't bother us at all. Apartment very clean - only downside is no cooking items such as cooking oil, sauces, butter etc. Overall would recommend for a short stay in Boston!

Our stay was wonderful! The place was easy to find, close to public transit, restaurants, and also walkable to the main points of interest. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The bathroom was very clean, but could use some updating/light retouches (caulking, some peeling on door/cabinets). Despite that one critique, I would absolutely stay again!

this apartment is a diamond in the rough. great location right in the heart of downtown. walking distance to everything you need. the place has lots of space and is nicely furnished with everything looking new. The kitchen is terrific and has all of the pots and pans and cooking gear to make any meal you want. you'll just need to bring all the food, spices and oils. would definitely stay here again.

Decent place to stay, fairly comfortable, working AC, only a few stairs to access unit, and in a great location. I stayed during the week so thankfully I did not hear any noise from nearby club. The apartment appeared clean at first but upon unpacking and getting settled in, noticed that the closet door was completely off the hinge and broken. Found some dishes in the cupboards that were not fully clean, food was stuck on them and I don't think the coffee table was completely wiped down before my arrival. The bathroom could use some maintenance, the tub is stained and the caulking needs to be replaced (stained black and dingy). In general, the space needs maintenance to bring it up to par with the nightly rate. I expected better with how much is being charged unfortunately.
This place is great. If you’re staying over the weekend, bring your earplugs. The night club noise is significant. You will hear bass music until at least 2 am on the weekends. Otherwise, we loved the space and the area.

We stayed at Steven for a few days in the summer. Place is great - clean, easy to get into, full kitchen with utensils, spacious, AC that works well, walking distance to alot of places, etc.. As some reviews have said previously, there is a nightclub close by that could be bothersome to some, but we didn't find it to be a problem for us, especially with the AC on. Great place to stay and Steven as a host was awesome. Would highly recommend it if you are coming to Boston.

Great check-in and super clean. The room was on the ground floor and looks out to atriums on both side so quite a bit darker than what the pictures suggest, but not a big deal. Had all the toiletries necessary, very soft towels. A little expensive, but this was still the best bargain in Boston by far.

The apartment is very nice. It appears to have been recently renovated and it is very comfortable. The washers and dryers in the basement are very nice and easy to use. The location is good and within 30 minute walk to all the major sites. The 'commons' is just a 3-5 minute walk. However, the area is very noisy at night. We stayed 5 mights, over a weekend, and were awaken three nights by screaming people leaving the clubs. The noise lasted about an hour until the police came and cleared the street. To be fair to the host, he warned us about the club noise (in the house rules document). We are used to normal city noise (sirens, bars, restaurant), and often stay in busy areas were the hosts inform of possible noise. So, we didn't think too much about it. But, screaming people was a surprise. Bring ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones. Other than the noise, this was a great place to stay. Steven's crew was very responsive, communicate well and very easy to work with.

This place was clean and wonderful inside! The location was also ideal— we were a walking distance to all the Boston neighborhoods and conveniently located by multiple train lines. My only two gripes with the place was it was a pretty late check in, there’s a fee for checking in prior to 5pm and it’s located in between two night clubs. On Friday night we definitely heard people coming out of the club but we turned on the air conditioner and that drowned out the noise.

The apartment looked smaller than pictured but the location is great, close to the T and easy to get to main attractions around city center. Kitchen is well-equipped but other things are pretty basic (like the bed). Generally clean but I think the sink and tub need a deep clean. It was a nice stay, only one thing really to consider is the noise. You can hear the music from the club faintly from the living room but not the bedroom. However, constructions outside start at around 7am and you can hear noises from the floor above (like people running, slamming door, dragging furniture) very well. It was not too big of a problem for me but my partner was woken up several times in a night so if you're a light sleeper please consider this.
This place was exactly what we were expecting! It was clean, homey and literally right in the heart of downtown Boston. So much to do in walking distance! Steven was very clear with the instructions of the home, very responsive, and getting in and out was a piece of cake! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great place and a wonderful experience
It was okay…not as cute as the pictures, very basic and dark in kind of a weird building. The hosts were accommodating and professional. Parking was very annoying, they charged $60 to park in front of a random building about 15 min away, there are parking garages near by but we needed to use our car and you cant come and go in the garages. It says pet friendly but they charge a $200 cleaning fee per day! The bathroom was outdated and basic. It worked for a one night stay but I wish I picked a different location. Overall very clean and walking distance to things, kind of located in the “time square” of Boston. check in is late, 5:00 but of course if you want early check in or late check out there is a fee. A fee for everything it seemed!

A great stay! Very central to downtown Boston and can get pretty much anywhere within a 20-30 min walk. Steven was very responsive and it was a great value for what we paid for! My only thing was that the location wouldn’t be the best for female solo travelers. I felt fine since my husband and I were traveling together, but since it was in an alley near a couple night clubs, it got very crowded and super busy after dark. No noise was heard from our stay, though! Just a heads up to those traveling here in the future!!
This apartment looked as pictured. None of the issues listed from past reviews appeared to have been addressed. It is all very basic. The bed was similar to a sleeper sofa mattress. Overall a clean space, except the shower, which needs to be overhauled. Location was good, if hard to find the first time because a full semi-truck completely blocked the entrance. Communication was good and accurate, without being overdone. Be sure you are aware that the check-in time is rather late (5pm) and can only be earlier if you pay an additional separate fee.

We had a great time in Steven's place. Checkin was a breeze , you receive door codes and can self checking (I would have prefered a slightly earlier checkin time though) Location was prime , right next to chinatown , walking distance from multiple subway stations , restaurants all over the place but in a quiet alley. I don't think we could have been better located. There's some crowd in the alley on weekend nights because of the nightclubs, but nothing really loud or shady. Appartment was great , the entrance of the building looks pretty generic but once you step in the appartment you fell the attention that was put in making this a welcoming space. Bedding was great , bathroom was quite generic , the kitchen has a ton of pots/pans/ustensils, there's a microwave, oven/range combo and coffee machine but i would have loved a bit more silverware (and a 2nd bowl). The living room space is great too , comfortable couch and seat , large TV with a chromecast. Place felt safe too, both windows open to non public space despite being on the 1st floor. The only thing that bothered us was the noise : Not from the nightclub as other reviews talked about , overall noise level from the music was low , and the only real noise was when they were closing and folks leaving were a bit loud and revving their engine a bit. There also some construction nearby but it's only on weekday and starts after 7:30 (and it wasn't heavy construction). The noise that was problematic was from the appartment just above, noise carried right into the bedroom (we could hear all footsteps and furniture dragging on the floor) to the point i had to go see these folks in the middle of the night to tone it down. When the occupant changed above in the middle of the week it stopped being a problem though, so i was probably just unlucky. I would definitively come back and had a great time at Steven's place.
Great place to stay for an extended period of time. Great location. Well stocked kitchen. There is an active construction site next to the building--able to hear construction during the daytime. There are a few nightclubs located on the street, but didn't have trouble with the noise. Would stay here again!
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
