This small studio apartment has laundry in building and is located in the heart of Boston, a 3 minute walk to Public Transportation. It is designed with simple modern style and has everything you need for a short stay. We also can accommodate longer monthly stays. Kitchen has everything you'd need to cook a basic meal.
Great place and loved the location! Solid to stay for a new nights in Boston!
Pro's: - great bed - great location - run by a non-profit, glad to contribute to that project Con's: - there is a gasoline-generator running all night just outside the window that is 10X louder than the very-loud fridge, which is not quite regular enough to work as a white-noise generator. this is beyond earplugs. - one night we were there, heavy machinery was doing roadwork just outside our window, which was louder still. this was well beyond earplugs. - bathroom was installed wrong for the kind of pressure/plumbing this building has, and the water seeping into the walls has clear rotted the underflooring and inner wall; it's been painted over for over a year, judging from other reviews. - plumber arrived unannounced and clearly had the code to the door, was interrupted letting himself in. there is no barrier between bed and door! - despite airbnb furnishings this was clearly an SRO recently and still run by a property management company that runs SROs and institutional building...
Good location, etc. but check in was difficult
Really nice place, central. You can walk almost everywhere from here. The healing home project is also very nice.
The studio is perfect for a single traveler or a couple. It has everything you really need and it was quite clean. The bathroom was a bit of an issue since the shower was very difficult to turn on and fully off. Due to the design of the shower, water does splash outside the shower and this might be why the tiles on the bathroom floor are cracked. Albert sent maintenance to check the shower handle but they were unable to fix it and mentioned the whole thing might have to be replaced. The maintenance man could turn the knob but I certainly could not so other women or people with less upper body strength might also have issues. But overall it was great! I do warn that men congregate at the corner of the 7/11 and they can be a little intimidating and say a few things but they seem harmless.
We planned this stay and I initially got the dates wrong. MAKE SURE YOURS ARE IN STONE and read their rules since they do not easily just reschedule!!! While it was an extreme hassle to just change the dates, they eventually made it right and didn’t keep half our money. The apartment is in a perfect location! The bums that regularly hang out in front is disturbing and the front smells of urine. The stairs are a pain as well with luggage and they are not “a short set” of stairs to the elevators on 2 The apartment itself was good, bed and bedding extra comfy and it was quiet! We slept great, they provided a fan & white noise machine so I had the best sleep ever! Lots of fantastic food and Irish pubs around! Elephant and Castle is aMUST! We hoped to save some money since the kitchen was very well equipped but food prices around weren’t better than eating out. Coffee maker is full size and works great, get your own supplies though as nothing is supplied. The bathroom needs repairs!
I would recommend spending a few extra dollars and getting a different place. The bathroom was pretty nasty. It was a bit loud but that's to be expected from the city - although the window seemed like it was open because you could always hear the people down below. Not an issue for me typically because I'm a heavy sleeper. Mainly the place that was the dirtiest was the bathroom. It definitely feels noticeable since the place is very small.
The location of this apartment is great. Walking distance to most everything, and many metro stops nearby. The nighttime can feel a little unsafe though. We just avoided entering the building from the 7-11 side, and tried to avoid Winter St. at night altogether. The unit was very clean and bed was very comfortable. It is the city, so expect to hear noises throughout the night (street sweeping, ambulances, etc.) The bathroom was a challenge however. We could hardly get the shower to turn on, and when we did we realized the shower head doesn’t move so water sprays out onto the wall and floor because there is no shower door. Hence, the noticeable mold and bubbling paint on the wall next to the shower. Be prepared to take really short showers.
Alberts place was a great stay in an amazing location. There’s no shortage of things to do in the area and I would definitely recommend this listing for those planning a trip to Boston!
The apartment is centrally located and only 10min by cab from the airport. We were there for two nights and everything was great! The apartment was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Highly recommended!!
Location was good but apartment needs a refresh, bathroom/shower wasn’t great
Good location in walking distance to everything, but the place itself needs some updating.
Great place to stay! Extremely clean and nicely decorated. Had no issues.
Super great spot right in downtown Boston. It’s next to a 7-11 so at night there can be crowds very close to the front door. It’s clean, comfortable, and nice. Loved the big TV close to the bed to relax at night.
Our stay was just fine. Reading reviews was helpful so that I could expect that the surrounding streets/neighborhood was a little loud and rough. The complex itself felt secure so that was good. Our room was a little beat up, cracks in the tiles and the shower dropped the entire time we were there. Overall, it was okay, we didn’t spend much time at our place but didn’t expect to. Good deal to be within walking distance to many things.
matched the description perfectly. great responsive host and great price!
We really liked the studio, for us it was perfect, we had all the amenities needed and the location was in the center of everything we wanted to visit.
The studio was as expected for the price. The host was very responsive and friendly. The location was near many restaurants and historic sites. You could walk to almost anything in the downtown area. The listing was quite small and in an old building with steep stairs and a small elevator. Even on the top level of the building, there was a lot of noise from the street. The bathroom was the worst part of the studio. It’s very small, the tiles are all loose on the floor, the drywall is rotting around the shower because there is nothing to prevent the water from coming out and it needed a thorough deep cleaning. The rest of the space was clean, the linens were good quality, and the bed was comfortable.
Nice wifi connection! No complaints. Thank you
this place was very close to the train station (and therefore, the airport) and close to alot of Boston's best attractions
Great room in a secure building and convenient central location.
The area was pretty convenient, place was clean. The key pad to enter without assistance after dark stopped working when I was staying. I used the front door but the security was not super helpful. It took several calls to get them to understand I was staying in the building.
Great location in downtown Boston close to restaurants. The place was as advertised. Very responsive host.
Overall, we were pleased with the unit. It was as described and the location was one of the best things about it— we were able to walk everywhere we wanted and it was so easy to navigate the downtown area from the apartment. While the place was clean, it was a bit rundown with some damage and wear and tear in the bathroom. There was very little hot water and the shower had very poor water pressure. I also have to note that there was a problem with the homeless population outside the unit. The unit itself was overall great for what we were looking for!
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and has better kitchen equipment than my own house. There's a 7-11 just around the corner and the nearest T line (red and orange) is only 3 mins walk away. Great for walkers!
Great location. Had a really nice stay.
I booked the apartment for two days from Friday to Sunday and was put off by receiving a message Saturday morning asking for notification if i were going to leave early so they could prepare the room presumably for the next guest. Also, the lock is electronic which requires a code to enter but you have to awaken the lock by putting your hand over it and it never worked on the first try for me and took anywhere from 5-10 tries to work.
Great location and price for the offering. Unit is spacious and clean. Building staff were responsive and professional. Recommended if you can handle at least one flight of stairs on the way up.
The apartment is very well equipped and clean. Location is great, very close to subway stations, parks and sites of interest. You may expect some noise given the area, but nothing to worry about if you aren't a very light sleeper. Hosts are very accessible and helpful at any time. This was actually the second time we rented an apartment in the building, both experiences were great.
This studio apartment was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway ! It was in a great location with everything in walking distance, affordable, very clean & well kept. Albert was amazing with answering my questions in a very timely matter & giving me all the information needed for my stay. Highly recommend Highly recommend this cute place!
While small, it definitely is a great place to stay. Within walking distance of SO many places and the trains. Would stay again if we came to Boston again!
Good location. Simple, clean decor. Elevator didn’t work first 3 days, so walking a week’s worth of luggage up 4 floors wasn’t fun. Bathroom is fair — Moldy grout, bubbling paint near the shower from moisture, and cracked floor tiles.
Perfect location close to all the downtown attractions and public transportations. However, be aware that the window beside the bed is not very well insolated for the noises. It can be very noisy at night. The apartment is well renovated but it's in an old building. It is good that they help needed families that have to stay in Boston for the hospital.
We had a great one-week stay. Great transpiration location and close to subway by walking 1-2 mins. There was a supermarket near the orange-line subway entrance. Very clean and comfortable although the space was kind of small than expected. Host offered 24/7 message service which was extremely helpful when we had some questions. No loud noise near apartment. We had great sleeping when we stayed. Didn’t like the washer. The clothes smelled not good after being washed by the washer. So, we washed our laundry by hands. Overall, love this place and would definitely stay here again.
Great downtown location and the space has everything you need for a short stay. The check-in time is fairly late in the afternoon (5 PM) and check-out time is very early in the morning (10 AM). We paid $50 additional for a late check-out (1 PM) because it was too early. Everything else was good.
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this airbnb! Was a great, clean space to come back to after being out sightseeing all day! Perfect location for walking almost anywhere in Boston. Had some construction outside the window but that is to be expected for the downtown location. Overall, an amazing stay!
Absolutely amazing! Super close to the city.
Smaller studio in the financial district of Boston. Quieter on the weekends with few restaurants/bars around or open if arriving late night. Functional, but best for the physically able due to stairs and walk to unit. Recommend bringing own shampoo, conditioner and any other amenities. Overall, good stay for the $
Fantastic location. Clean and with all of the described amenities. Supports a wonderful cause, free housing for people who are in Boston getting medical treatment.
This apartment is in a perfect location, walking distance to the Royale, where we attended a concert, and to tons of great bars & restaurants. It was clean and as pictured, easy to access, and the host provided clear and timely instructions on how to enter. The only downside for me was that the bed was super uncomfortable.
This place is a pretty place in a perfect location if you are looking to stay in the city of Boston. Good host great communication.
GREAT location in downtown Boston, walking distance from Boston commons, freedom trail sites, walking along the water and public transit. Proactive and consistent communication from our hosts as well
In many AirBnb reviews you see the phrase, it looked better than the pictures, in this case the pictures looked better. There were cracked tiles and water damage from the shower in the bathroom. While there was a coffee maker and filters, no coffee was provided and only 4 spoons for the two of us. I realize Boston is DD country, but having some coffee there so one does not need to go out seems like a small gesture. The description mentions 'city noise' and one can request ear plugs and noise machines, unfortunately there was awful construction noise till almost 2 AM the first night (we stayed 2 nights but the 2nd was a Friday). As it was jack hammers or a pile driver I doubt a white noise machine would have helped and I did not find any ear plugs in the unit. Better to provide the machine and ear plugs upfront in the unit instead of saying, contact us if there is noise.
Great location and easy access to public transit. Access to the units is unique.
The location is indeed very good, and most of the time it was pretty quiet outside. An important thing to know - you can use an elevator from the first floor if you enter the building from another entrance on the right (a big one with a rotating door). It is open for entering the building during working hours, but if you leave the building, it opens automatically anytime. When I arrived, I had some problems with accommodation. Fortunately, I was able to reach for support quickly. The apartment itself was pretty clean. I liked the bed and the number of pillows. Also, a tiny but fully functional kitchen was super useful.
Great location! The entire city was walkable from this place, there was also a convenient T stop just around the corner. Because it is in the heart of the city, it is quite loud at night (garbage trucks, street cleanings, sirens) so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. Check in is easy once you find the correct door to go in (follow the instructions carefully) and the bed was comfortable.
City center. Clear. Good for one/two people and a short staying.
Had a great time staying at Albert's place! The location is unbeatable... walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants, and a short Uber ride from several other Boston hotspots. My boyfriend had never been to Boston before, so it was perfect. We were able to easily visit the waterfront and the historical district, Boston Common, Quincy Market, Back Bay/Fenway, and Cambridge. The apartment itself was clean and had all of the necessary amenities. I noticed some reviewers were concerned about noise levels, and yes, because of the location, you're going to get some city noise. However, that doesn't really bother me, personally, and it's just what happens when you stay in a city. That said, the city noise wasn't actually that bad. It was a Catholic holiday during our stay, and the church across the street had musicians out front playing music for passersby, but that was only during the day, and it was kind of fun! I'm never mad about live music, especially when it's free. Check-in was a little tricky due to the nature of the building, but the host provided detailed instructions prior to our arrival. The host also made himself available in case we had any issues. Coming and going was easy once we had done it once, although if you're arriving with a lot of luggage, you'll have to lug it up at least one set of stairs before you can access an elevator. Overall, had a great stay in Boston and would definitely recommend Albert's place.
Communication was great. Hard to find depending on drop-off location. Pictures do look slightly better than the actual rooms, but would definitely use again
The host was above and beyond! The unit couldn’t have been in a more central location. So close to so many things and great restaurants and shops Ect. We feel our experience at this Airbnb made our trip even more enjoyable!!
Easy to get to and very close to public transport. Unit was quiet overall (silent neighbors, some street noise at night) and bed was very comfortable with clean, soft sheets. The unit had everything we needed for our 3 day weekend. The host was extremely helpful and also provided good suggestions for where to drop our bags off until check in time.
Brilliant location for arrival as so close to the station, and great for all of the sites. Super clean and well equipped. Great for our first stay in Boston.
Great place, close to public transportation, CVS across the street, the place is very clean, and has convenient amenities. There is a convenience store on the ground floor where people gathered late at night and it felt a bit unsafe.
Great location, super clean slace, excellent communication with the host.
I stayed here over Labor Day weekend with my dog and fiance. The studio space was incredibly clean and comfortable, and the location is ideal (right near a 7-11 and CVS if you need any supplies). The hosts proactively sent detailed instructions for checking in and out. Overall had a great stay and highly recommend the space.
Great place very convenient to downtown
The apartment is OK and very well located. The check in/check out times (5pm/10am) are a bit annoying, especially for the price they charge.
Great location. Hallways need some help, first impressions are important.
Easy communication and check in/out instructions. Great host. Clean studio, perfect location to discover Boston and comfy bed to rest.
The place is comfortable and complete. It's good value with kitchen and ensuite bathroom. also, I didn't have to worry about forgetting the keys because it's all digital locks. Great experience!
Great studio in the heart of Boston - perfect location, really handy having access to laundry for longer stays. Thanks
The location is great, close to the Boston Common park, different restaurants and shops. There were some issues with the cleanliness, nothing serious, but something to consider. The parking is not included, but there are parking garages where you can pay and leave your car, as well as the meter, but street parking will probably be occupied. There was no detergent and I was offered to go buy it and get reimbursed. Not a terrible deal, but would be nice if it could have been brought to me. Overall, decent.
Everything is fine for me. The host reply very efficient.
the location is very convenient with much to do in the area. the accommodation is on the 5th floor, which is no joke. there is an elevator in the building, but if you are relying on it first figure out how you access it from the outside of the building, as this was not immediately obvious for us. would consider staying here again.
Clean, comfortable bed.
Great location and value! It was in the middle of everything and made our trip go very smoothly.
Great location. Comfy bed.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely return back in the future.
Nice small space good for two people. Comfortable bed.
It was a good stay at this place. The host was very helpful and responded fast with all the questions I had.
A cozy place to stay in a nice part of town
We had a wonderful time at Albert's Airbnb. The downtown location made it super convenient to get around to places. The room itself was small but well equipped for a one week stay. Albert and his team were also super prompt and timely answering any questions and requests we had. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to stay in Boston and wants to be close to Downtown, North End and the Commons!
The Airbnb was very clean, the appliances and everything were updated. The shower layout was nice. I enjoyed the little couch as well! The location was perfect which made everything walking distance! The only thing were the instructions to get into the place. You have to use the entrance on 101 Arch street first, then go into the dentist office then make a quick right to another set of doors (enter the code) then you find the elevators. It took about 20 mins to actually find the elevators which wasn’t explained in the instructions. Besides that everything else was great!
all was great A+!!!! no complaints whatsoever. Location is great. A quick walk to one of Boston's main public transport terminals. Super clean.
Great location. Very easy to get around the city.
The location of this apartment couldn’t be anymore perfect. Quick walk to the T but we walked most places because that’s how accessible it was! Great food and store options right around the apartment, as well. There’s a good bit of stairs to take going up/down the apartment before you get to the elevator but we weren’t bothered by it - just something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage or have difficulty going up and down stairs. However the elevator was super convenient. The hosts were very responsive and answered all of our questions extremely fast! It’s a very small apartment (it is a studio) and a tiny bit pricey but they designed the space well! But this is what you would expect for staying in the middle of the city in a popular location and it’s all for such a great cause. Would definitely stay again.
The unit was clean, beautiful, and in a fantastic location! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the elevator was broken for our entire stay, even though it was supposed to be fixed the day before.
Had a great stay there - brilliant location, apartment was clean, easy to find. The host was really helpful. Would recommend, thank you!
Very clean, cozy place, perfectly situated in the center of Boston with an easy access to multiple lines of trains. Would highly recommend !
Great place to stay
We stayed at Albert’s place and we really enjoy our stay. I would recommend
Really convenient place! The location is awesome. Clean, quiet, full kitchen.
Very good experience!
Perfect location for everything!
Perfect location. Central to everything. Bed, linens, and pillows were great. Entrance and exit locations were clear. Quiet neighbors. Great wifi. Come here if you don’t plan to rent a car.
A great place to stay while visiting the city. Check in was a smooth process and the apartment was perfect. Would definitely stay here again
Excellent studio in great location.
Great location in Downtown Crossing area with major stores, pharmacies, theatre district, pubs,
This Airbnb was honestly pretty nice, I do wish they had a body mirror though they only have one mirror in the restroom with really good lighting but other than that it was pretty cool, they also have anything you need like towels, silverware & dishes, soap & shampoo. The place is walking distance from everything so it’s convenient as well.
This place was very clean but bare minimum with no extra amenities. it’s right in the center of everything, which is great, but not something I would book again. I needed a place to go for work and I had my dogs with me. This place does allow pets but they need to update their pet policy, after I booked they told me is $200 PER pet. After a conversation with them, they dropped it down to just $200 to bring my two dogs because I wanted to cancel my stay. The building is very secure and there is a 24hr parking garage within walking distance so that is nice. Overall a decent experience.
Was a great place to stay right in downtown Boston. They were great with communication!
A very accessible apartment in the city which is great if you work in the area or want to have quick access to the T. Check in was easy and communication was great for what was happening in the building.
Nice clean and easy to access little apartment!
Everything was clean and it was easy to find our room
I can’t say enough in how wonderful the Airbnb was! Perfect location, so clean, great communication. If I had a question about anything Albert was so quick to respond. I would 100% recommend staying here your next time in Boston
Location was perfect, close to all downtown sites. The rate was very expensive for one night in such a small studio, though.
Amazing location, central to all downtown sites. T stop and Grocery close by. Quiet overnight even though right in the middle of the downtown area. Great value, and host was very responsive to messages.
I greatly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the building located in a great area of Boston, walking distance to a ton of sites and an easy walk from South Station. I'll definitely try and book here again next time I'm in Boston.
Great location! Walking distance to most attractions and super close to the T for things further away. It is downtown so some street noise should be expected but the bed was super comfy so we slept right through.
Great location and awesome experience! Thank you, Albert!
After being scammed by another Airbnb listing, Albert was able to book me same day and was incredibly accommodating.
Great spot for a couple or small family! We stayed with our two year old and dog and it was just enough room for us. Great set up with the kitchen and basically anything you would need to make a meal or hang onto left overs and heat them up later. We were on a road trip from Chicago and loved the location too. Quick 15 min walk to the boat tours and amazing Italian restaurants! Getting in was a bit confusing, even after they tried to streamline the instructions from previous guests. We wound up using the door at 101 arch and by the dentist office to get in every time and didn’t have to walk up a flight of stairs like they said. Either way, it was very safe and secure to get in and out. There is also a 24 hour security guard in the main building which made us feel super safe. We also asked them questions about parking, etc. We already said we would absolutely stay there again. Great value!
Overall, a good place and I would stay again. The place is centrally located and within walking distance of attractions and shops. The room itself is small but sufficient. The appliances are functioning very well and there is lots of everything you may need. My only issue was with the noise. The host was kind enough to warn the neighbors about the music. But there is also the noise coming from the fridge which could be troublesome for the light sleepers.
Nice cozy studio near Downtown Crossing - great location to get around from.
nice place and great location!
Very nice location - many sites are walkable and public transportation is close if going farther. The host was quick to respond to any questions or concerns.
The place was in a good location. Host was quick to communicate and accommodate. Unfortunately the unit smelled strongly of cigar smoke ( I think someone smokes in the building). If you want to watch TV you must download 3 apps ( Google Chromecast, Google Home and Sling) I gave up because it was too much work.
This Airbnb was a disappointment. The location is great, being in the center of Boston. However, the instructions to find the unit were not clear to me. It required exploring doors and hallways to find the unit. The host does mention the layout is odd, but his directions only made the situation more confusing. The building entry and hallways were very dirty. Discarded bottles and food wrappers were in the hallway for my entire stay. The communication was not great. The TV remote was missing, which prevented me from using the TV (Chromecast remote). The host said he would follow up about getting a remote to me but never did. The cleaning fee is $100 and the place is about the size of a traditional hotel room. The day before checkout, an email is sent asking the guest to cleanup to make it easier on the housekeeper. Not much felt good about this stay.
Wonderful location wonderful hosts recommend to anyone wanting to stay in in the downtown Boston area
Lovely place, very well located, the apartment was super clean, and communication was easy. Would stay there again.
5 stars! Cute space to stay downtown. Quieter area than I thought!
