Nice place. Hard to sleep with the noisy from the street
No fuss place - had everything you needed. Close to good restaurants and bars, close to some attractions and public transit.
The unit was in a convenient area of town close to a lot of transit. The host team was very communicative and proactive. They provided the right amount of detail to get settled quickly. The unit has all the basics you need. Wifi was reliable. Signs of wear and tear were visible but not distracting or concerning.
As stated from other reviewers, response time was great, location is great and close to all amenities, but the apartment needs some love (paint, wires, small but noticeable things). There is significant noise, you will need earplugs. Homelessness was an issue as there was people sleeping and laying down in the doorway, literally. The hosts did a great job to help and support us through this and they deserve recognition for being really proactive. All in all, moderately comfortable but we wouldn’t stay there again. Expansive for what you get.
Great Place! Great Location in the heart of Boston. Clean, good illumination, perfect space for a couple. Instructions spot on. I highly recommend this place!
had a ten night stay really loved the place and location.. though there were lots of homeless right in front of the building
Thank you for a lovely stay at Healing Homes. Chatting to the host was quick and easy and I always had swift responses. Lovely big kitchen. Bed was very comfortable and bedroom had lovely big windows with loads of natural light streaming in. Very close to restaurants, the park and Roche Bros the food store. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you very kindly. The location was fantastic we benefited hugely from being able to walk to local attractions, shops and restaurants. Accommodation was pristine with working appliances. very accessible. Hosts communicated really well and provided clear and concise instructions for checking in. Many thanks for a wonderful stay, we would be delighted to stay here again.
It was a good stay in a great location. The amenities and the convenience of the location were the best part and worth the money spent. There were a few little things like the bedroom door being unable to close, the paper thin walls in the kitchen (it sounded like when neighbors got home that someone was entering the Airbnb), and the whole flight of stairs you have to get up with your luggage before getting to elevators. The AC was so great in a hot week like this one. Overall, would stay again and very thankful for the responsiveness of the hosts when something was needed. Thanks again for a great stay!
Great place in the heart of bostons downtown. Was in walking distance of everything.
We have stayed in Boston several times, but this is our first time downtown, it was a very close walk to the subway for our Red Sox game, a quick walk to nice restaurants, and Opera House for our play, close to the Commons and Public gardens. A little loud when the Celtics won the chamionship, but looking forward to coming back to do more exploring!!
I enjoyed my stay. Homelessness is part of the experience. Guy on stump doing drugs. I wasn't alone so it didn't bother me. Some will talk but wont bother you. 16 min walk to Little Italy. The Common area is very close. Very walkable area. Near shops and restaurants. Once inside the building, it is very quiet as if you have the building to yourself. Maybe we did? LOL The apartment was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped but we didn't use it. Bring shower gel. They only provided hand soap and shampoo. The TV is complicated. We weren't able to watch it, nor did I reach out for help because prior to coming, I read a review, guests were not able to be advised on how to turn on TV. They were disappointed, they were not able to watch TV during their stay. It would be nice if instructions were provided on site. But overall, despite the roaches and homeless, I think this is a nice place to stay. I would book again. :)
Great stay -- no complaints! The place was perfect for our trip.
Really great place and enjoyed my stay!
Spacious space for two people with everything you need. The host is always responsive.
Nice place to stay for 2 people for a short stay. It was clean and well kept. Only a little table and chairs in the kitchen/dining area and a couch in the bedroom.
Such a great place and location to stay. The apartment was clean, nice, with lots of lights, including natural light as well. The kitchen is fully functional if you’re planning to cook a lot. Everything is within walking distance, with lots of bars/restaurants/coffee shops. Definitely, consider choosing this place if you plan to walk around town. 7-Eleven is next door, as well as Macy’s, Tj Maxx, and Marshalls.
This place is the worst experience I have had in the airbnb platform for over a decade. To call this place a dump would be to insult the word dump. This is more like nightmare on arch street. There was a problem with the pipes here. And the unit often smelled like sewage and the maintenance guy couldn't figure it out. So we couldn't use the kitchen or work in the unit during the day because of the smell. Even if the smell wasn't around we couldn't have worked anyway because the internet did not work. And because the internet was not working the TV was not working either. The bed frame was broken and my side of the bed collapsed and I couldn't sleep properly. The door frame was completely detached from the wall (Which at this point is really not even worth mentioning.) The bathroom towel had a ball of hair in it and we could not use it. Management was not responsive to our complaints and ignored our outcries.
Great place to stay right in the middle of everything no need for Ubers could walk everywhere
The place was very clean and fairly spacious, so it felt very convenient given that we were travelling with quite a bit of luggage. The location was generally OK but during night hours you need to get used to some shady characters on the street. The instructions to get in the apartment were easy to follow but may be improved a bit: After the first day we realized that the elevator can be reached from both the basement and the first floor (after two flights of stairs). The instructions only indicated the latter, so the first day we pulled our luggage upstairs with substantial effort, until we reached the elevator on the first floor. It would have been much easier to go downstairs (shorter flights of stairs and gravity helping us) and take the elevator in the basement. Other than that all the process was very smooth and we perceived this was great value.
Great stay in a great location.
Had a good stay in the studio! The kitchen was a great.
It was a perfect location for our conference. It was walkable to the convention center and china town to grab some food! And host was very quick to respond for all communications!
When I arrived at this airbnb there were turds in the toilet, and for the first 3-4 days the heat didn't work (January, Boston). Obviously not ideal, but I can be understanding as I stay at Airbnbs quite often and things happen. What most put me off about this host is how dismissive they were about these issues. I was the one who had to be proactive (ask for another unit to stay in, ask for a refund), and this host made me feel as though I was being annoying as I was shivering going to sleep at night. This host will likely comment on this post trying to discredit what I'm saying as I've seen him do to other reviews. That's fine, feel free to take a look at all the other positive reviews I've left for other hosts and that they have left for me. This unit is fine, it's conveniently located. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is big. I would not stay with these hosts again, I feel they have too many units and because of that they have forgotten customer service. Watch for Steven as well
Stayed for NYE and couldn’t ask for a better AirBnB. Hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating, and the location literally could not be better. Hope to stay again soon!
Had a great time at the space. Enjoyed being in the heart of the city.
Definitely coming back here when visiting Boston
Good location, not too loud considering how central it is, good place if you just need a bed and shower, though the kitchen and fridge would allow you to cook a lot if you wanted. Some scuffs here and there but nothing that made the place feel uncomfortable.
Very good location, easy access to all relevant places.
Watch out is full of homeless doing drugs always loud at night. Not a family environment.
The apartment is everything an airbnb should be. We arrived by train and south station is 4 blocks away. Downtown Crossing station for the T is one block away. There is an elevator, very hard to find, but it made our checkout very smooth. The area has everything you need at a walkable distance. The only down side is that there are some shady characters around as it always happens in the downtown of any big city or near a train station. They are harmless but you might feel intimidated at night.
This was a decent apartment in a good location, easily walkable to South Station and Quincy Market. The apartment itself has everything you need to for a comfortable stay but no flourishes to make it particularly cozy. It is located downtown and therefore has the typical city challenges of homeless people in the entry way and loud street noises at night (bring earplugs). It is run by an agency and communication was good but again not overly friendly or accommodating.
The place was decent- clean floors and bathroom. The furniture was a bit worn and the mattress was stained (a habit to check for you know what- but clear!). The sheets were comfortable and very clean. The ac was brand new and the kitchen was clean. There was a coffee pot but no coffee- would have been nice. The door… well the outside door was always surrounded by people from the 7-11 hanging out. However the location couldn’t be beat! We were steps away from everything we wanted to do- just always had to walk around the block so we didn’t pass the 7-11. Price could have been a little better but it is for a good cause. Very responsive via app!
The instructions to check in and out were super clear and easy to follow! The location was absolutely perfect and the place was so cozy to come home to after a day of sight seeing.
I’ll start by saying the location is great. We walked everywhere for the 3 days we were there. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment and didn’t plan to, but it would have been nice to just come back and relax and feel comfortable. The apartment was not at all comfortable. You have a bed and a sofa at the bottom of the bed and a TV right in front of that. There are two chairs in the kitchen that were to high for the table. The bathroom had one hook for towels and nothing to put toiletries on. Their towels are shot and should be replaced and the floor washed. My slippers were black at the bottom by the time we left. Outside the apartment we were greeted daily, both when we left and arrived back, by homeless and addicts right by the door. They didn’t bother us, but it made us uneasy. Across the street from the building is St Anthony food pantry which we didn’t realize until we arrived so that explains everything. The smell of urine outside the building and weed in our apartment from our neighbors was strong and daily. We didn’t know anything about Healing Home and it wasn’t disclosed on the description until we read the note on the fridge. Look it up before you go so you fully understand the deal.
Great location close to tons of fun places in Boston. It was a little challenging finding the front door, but eventually we got it. Place was very cute and clean. Convenient 7-11 around the corner
We were very impressed with our stay here! Expectations were exceeded. We opted to make all of our own food while we were in Boston, and this place made it easy - we were easily able to walk to a grocery store and back. (The only thing missing was a couple kitchen amenities, like a spatula and can opener, but we made do!) The location was clean and safe with a surprising amount of space in the apartment. Very easy to log onto our own streaming services for TV, and the wifi worked great. We were easily able to walk to Boston Commons and multiple tourist attractions, plus multiple train stations nearby for longer trips. We would definitely stay here again!
This area is not safe at night at all whatsoever no only my was our steps to the building covered with urine and homeless people aswell as needles and other things! They forgot to mention the massive view of the Jesus statue right outside your window. bed and pillows were uncomfortable and there were exposed wires running on the wall as and throughout the house aswell as all sorts of other lack luster things 400$ for a one night stay in this place is nowhere near worth it ! Oh I forgot to mention the shower floor was slimy and disgusting not sure why it felt like that!
Basic, small, Boston apartment but better than a hotel! Great location. If you have to go to the convention center it’s basically a strait shot 1 mile walk. Albert was super responsive and accommodating. Would totally stay here again and recommend!
Really excellent location. Very easy check-in and check-out with very clear instructions. The rental was more spacious than pictures may lead you to believe. Street noise was not too loud at all, contrary to other reviewers. Didn’t impact our sleep. This stay was absolutely worth it in all regards and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Albert was responsive and helpful. The place was clean and welcoming. Felt happy to come back to after exploring Boston for the day.
This was a fine place to stay. It did the job for the price. The location made public transit very accessible. It was not luxurious and could take a coat of paint, but we were comfortable enough. We could hear noise from the street and another unit on one occasion.
A good place to stay if you are in the area over a location. Very clean and walkable to so many places. However, if you are a light sleeper, it may not be the best location for you. The walls are thin so you can hear outside traffic, birds and people in the early hours of the morning. Overall, I would consider staying again.
Easy check in, clean apartment and great location.
Was okay place, a bit overpriced for what you get.
Great area to stay in but be ready for lots of noise and a pretty bright room at night. Other than that, it was a nice little spot with a lot of things to do in a walkable distance.
We stayed at Albert's place in Boston for 6 days in March/April 2023. It should be noted that there are multiple units listed on Airbnb in this building. Apparently they are owned by an organization called Hospitality Homes. They provide housing for patients who are undergoing treatment in Boston hospitals. It is a great idea and an organization that does a lot of good. That being said, the listing is a little misleading. The pictures of the units show it freshly painted and looking brand new. That's really not the case. The unit was pretty bare bones. The bed was comfortable, the rest of the furniture was not. As noted, the area can be loud. There is a 7/11 almost next door, with an ATM. There were lots of guys around there all times of the day, usually asking for change. The short walk to the T was great. Albert answered all my questions quickly and made some excellent suggestions. All in all, the unit was functional but I won't stay there again.
Really well located appartment in Downtown Boston!
This Airbnb is just as advertised. It’s in a great location, Albert is always quick to respond and has everything you’d need for a short stay.
The place had a good location and the check-in/check-out instructions were clear, but the place was overall very dingy. The windows were dirty, there was water damage on the bathroom vanity and bathroom ceiling, the walls were all marked up and it overall looked like the place had not had a deep clean in a couple of years. We did contact the host about the overall dinginess of the place and he was a bit dismissive, saying that they would fix it after we left but, offered no other help. We did have some issues with the oven stove top as well. Overall, for the price, we would have picked another place to stay if we had known all of this.
Great location, good price for value
Excellent location in downtown Boston with good amenities.
This was a PERFECT location for our active dog and us! Close to the Commons and tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We walked the Freedom Trail despite the windchill and had a wonderful dinner at Legal Seafood as a reward. One catch - we found the entrance to 103 but couldn't see any numbers above the door. Fortunately, the keypad was there, and it worked as described! We parked at 88 Kingston Garage thanks to Albert's recommendation to use Spot Hero. Easy Peasy, and they were super helpful about a car with a canoe on top. Would come back again - maybe when the gardens are in bloom.
Great spot will definitely stay there again in the future!
Our accommodation fell through last minute - this place was available at zero notice, comfortable and clean, right in the heart of Boston and pet-friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
I was there for two weeks as I was having surgery at Mass Eye. I was disappointed to only find two towels and wash cloths and a skinny bar of soap.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was beautiful and spacious, and the location was very convenient. Our only issue - to no fault of our hosts - was the nightly construction work happening on the street outside our window. Workers were outside, loudly drilling, until 1 or 2 in the morning every night of our stay. Otherwise, it was a blast!
Great location and a cute apartment. Walkable to most things and very very close to the subway. Very clean and had every amenity you may need, yet not cluttered at all. Easy check in and check out.
Good check in process and was in a good location.
We enjoyed our stay very much, great location and very clean overall. The only thing we think can still be improved in this apartment are the windows. They allow too much noise into the appartement and aren’t insulated very well. Also some more dishes in the kitchen would help reduce the use of the dishwasher.
BEWARE - if you’re drawn to this location because it’s pet friendly, be ready for them to ask for an additional $200 non-refundable pet fee via Ven-mo. If you try to cancel (even immediately after booking) they will try to keep part of the money and say that it’s because of Airbnb. Which it’s not, I have had to cancel airbnbs in the past it’s 100% up to the host how much money you get back. It just overall felt really scammy. The place was fine, it smelled really bad in the kitchen the first night (maybe bc of the rain idk) but it was fine the next morning. There were stains on the towels. It did the job for sure but idk I wish I got a hotel instead.
Great little spot in Downtown - super close to Downtown Crossings for shopping. Super clean and easy to communicate with host who was very accommodating and helpful with all my questions/concerns! Parking could be a bit of a nuisance in downtown, but there were plenty of garages and metered parking as well!
clean, furnished, silverware and basic dishes available, very comfortable environment, great price and great location
Great place to stay. Right in the center of Boston, very walkable, close to public transportation, easy to reach from the airport by bus. There's also a nice big grocery store in the area. Communication with Albert and the team was very smooth. I stayed at the place for a week for work, and did some of my own cooking. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was clean. The only minor issue was the street noise, but it wasn't too bad: the apartment was on the fourth floor and the street had only light traffic. I was aware of the issue from previous reviews and brought ear plugs. Also you may want to bring an eye cover sleeping mask since the window shades aren't thick and light comes through at night. I did feel that the place was a bit expensive for the size, but I guess Boston is expensive ... Overall I enjoyed my stay and would book this place again!
This place is such a great find! The kitchen had everything I needed, bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot enough. I also felt very safe staying here, while everything else I wanted to see and do in Boston was a walk or a subway ride away.
Great little place in an AMAZING LOCATION!
Very clean, great location, quiet even though it’s in the middle of Boston! Communicative and friendly hosts. Great size for two people. Shower felt really nice. The room has a very cool vibe. Tons of storage space. Would love to stay again!
Fantastic Apartment. Albert and the team answer any queries within minutes, apartment is spotless, safe and has a lot of space.
If you’re traveling to Boston for leisure you’re probably not spending much time in your room. This place was a perfect landing place after a long day. It doesn’t have many bells and whistles but has what you need. The location was pretty great. Very close to public transportation, restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing. It is a busy city so prepare for it to be noisy at night. It’s nothing a pair of ear plugs and a sound machine can’t fix. There is an elevator which is very helpful but you do have to walk up to the second floor to access it. If you’re looking for simple and affordable while exploring the city this is your place.
Everything was as advertised and the hosts were very communicative any time we reached out. I wouldn't hesitate to book any of their listings if I find myself in the area again!
The location was amazing! It was very convenient to Boston Common and the Freedom Trail as well as to the subway system. The apartment was small, but fine for 2 people. It was very bare bones...no coffee, water, ice trays... were available. The owners were super fast to answer questions and make suggestions.
Great clean and accessible place. Great location!
This is a very nice listing right in downtown Boston. It's conveniently situated by South Street Train station, CVS, and Boston Commons. Check in was easy and the place was clean and spacious. Would book again.
Boston is a great place to visit - just don't bring a car or a lot of luggage!! There are lots of tours and things to see!!
This place is great! Great location, excellent communication to get in and very safe, behind 2 locked doors. Would absolutely stay again! Thanks for making our stay great.
Albert is great at communicating, setting up the stay, and has a fantastic location.
Great location and apartment. Albert the host is super responsive and the check-in experience is a breeze.
Great place in heart of Boston Clean and well maintained
Excellent location. Host was very communicative and the place was very clean.
Location was convenient. Close to the subway as well as walking distance to other popular sites. Clean air bnb with basic necessities. If you’re a light sleeper there was some road noise as noted by host, but was bearable.
This was a great space! Easy check in, safe space, and great communication throughout our stay. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Boston. My boyfriend and I went for a 2 day trip and we’re able to walk everywhere from the airbnb while feeling safe. It was a short walk to the subway and to the water! Great area! Also very close to many parking garages! made parking very easy
The unit looks exactly as it does in the pictures; very clean and organized. The host team is very responsive and gives you all of the details you need. The location is close to 3 different train lines—helpful for a commute. Just like any city location, you can hear the street noise pretty clearly day and night. Overall it was a great stay for the price.
Wonderful location close to all downtown historic attractions (all within about 1 mile). The condo is near a pedestrian friendly walking zone that is closed to traffic. Here you will find major department stores (Macy’s), grocery stores, coffee shops, drug stores, etc. Very easy walk to Boston Common where many walking tours start, and to the lovely Public Garden with the swan boats. Beacon Hill is just on the other side of Boston Common. The waterfront is just a bit further but very easily walkable. We used one Uber the entire three days we were there and only then because we were running late for a dinner reservation. Restaurant Yvonne’s is a four minute walk from the condo. I highly recommend it! Also, Saltie Girl is a posh seafood spot that we really enjoyed for lunch. It’s about a 15-20 min walk from the condo but you’re walking through gardens and then the best shopping district in Boston (where we spotted Gwyneth Paltrow). Overall, this was a nice, small, comfortable condo in an EXCELLENT location. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice big clean apartment in a good central location. Big kitchen with everything in it.
Enjoyed my stay will be looking to book again
Super accommodating and great location
This place is in a great location- everything is walkable. We even walked from Fenway to the apartment, which is 2 or 2.5 miles, and never felt unsafe. CVS is across the street and there are a ton of shops and restaurants nearby, plus Boston Common just a few minutes away. A couple of notes- they do not provide coffee so you'll need to bring your own or run to CVS. There is also no bottled water, if that matters to you. The bedroom has blinds but it's not very dark in the morning and I don't know how we could have slept if we hadn't brought our own noise machine, but that's expected downtown. There is no dresser and just one small shelf in the closet so beware of that if you're looking for an extended stay. Communication was good, they reply to messages quickly and allowed us to check in just a few minutes early when we arrived before 5pm. The building and apartments are secure, we never questioned our safety inside or outside. The bed is also really comfortable. We would stay here again for the location alone!
This place was great! Good location and super clean.
Clean apartment with a central location, all the usual appliances, very easy to access the apartment. Host was easy to communicate with and always prompt in his responses.
Great location and value. Communication was excellent with clear instructions.
Just perfect. Recommended
Super central location, walkable to so many must see spots in Boston. We drove our own vehicle and parking is not cheap in Boston, but there were available options near the room. Having a full kitchen was appealing to us and the room fit the basic needs that we had while exploring the city. Street noise can be loud but savvy travelers can manage that and I believe I read white noise machines could be provided upon request. Overall, we had what we needed and communication was great with the host, can't wait to come back to Boston!
Overall a nice place to stay for one night in the city on my work trip. However, there is no water or coffee so come prepared with your own beverages and snacks unless you want to run out in the morning or late at night!
Excellent location and very well maintained apartment! The host was very quick in responses to queries and helped accomodation my early luggage drop which I really appreciated. Apartment was super comfy and clean. Would definitely stay here again
Terrific location, right in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to the train, shops, and grocery store. The space was adorable and comfortable, and the city noise was minimal and never intrusive (despite its location). Anytime I contacted Albert, Brian, and his team, I received a quick response. I felt completely at ease staying here, and will try to re-book next time I'm in town!
Perfect spot for my work trip! incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable with easy check in and everything you could want in walking distance. Grab some take out from Boston's incredible China Town and head back to this space to unwind after a busy day! I will be back next time I'm in town for work. Great WiFi!
Very pleasant and comfortable stay working, cooking, and resting here with my dog.
Overall, this is a good place to stay if you're looking for location and a comfortable place to relax and sleep while you explore Boston. The street was somewhat noisy but it's a city so it's expected. However, there is not much more hospitality than what you're given at a hotel. The soap, shampoo/conditioner, towels, toilet paper, etc is all hotel grade. This is the first Airbnb I've stayed in that the host doesn't provide that extra homey touch. Recommended bringing your own toiletries. There are also no spices or coffee if you plan on doing any cooking. I would stay here again but wish I knew the quality of some of these items beforehand so I could pack accordingly.
Great apartment downtown for a business trip. I was walking distance to the office. Plenty of food and other options as well. Very clean. The street noise is a little loud but manageable.
Very clean, easily accessible apartment in the heart of downtown Boston. We had no troubles locating the apartment or accessing it. Communication was great the entire stay. Perfect setup for my husband and I to remote work. Never once did we have an issue with the wifi. Very happy with our stay!
Great value for a great place. Easy 15-20 minute walk to many things. 7-eleven real close, which is very convenient. No bells and whistles, but it was exactly what we needed, a comfortable bed and walking distance to where we wanted to go.
The stay was great. There was enough space and a great kitchen. We had a good view of the new sky scrapers going up. Location is wonderful and right next to a T stop. The elevator and entrance up to the apartment had a bad smell, but the actual apartment was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice being on a less busy street. There were a few loud vehicles that went nearby, so if you are a light sleeper I would use ear plugs (I slept great the second night when I had some).
Great location and great apartment. Will be returning!
Great location, easy check in and quick responses! I recommend this place for anyone taking a quick trip to Boston!
This is a very good location, for the Boston Marathon. Was disappointed with the room, it had all i needed but was very uninviting almost clinically (no character). There was only one small closet with hangers and there was no place to lay cloths except on the TV cabinet. Layout was weird with a coach in the bedroom and 2 ft from the TV. Check-in instructions where wrong. Told me to take the stairs to the 1 st floor and take the elevator. Needed to take 2 flight of stairs to the 2nd floor and walk a long stretch to find the elevator: not easy with 2 heavy suitcases. Also saw 2 cockroaches in the kitchen. Price and location were the only 2 positives. This place is managed by a larger organization and misses the pleasant character of the individual owned AirB&B’s.
Excellent location in downtown Boston for a real Boston experience! Very clean and true to the pictures. We loved our stay and would gladly visit again!
Comfortable and clean. If you have luggage be sure to get elevator instructions otherwise it’s a 4 story walk up. Good location for downtown Boston. On street parking was available
Came to Boston for four nights with my significant other. Great location in the heart of the city and perfect space for a quick stay in Boston. The studio is spacious enough for 1-2 people. Kitchen and bathroom are stocked with essentials. Washer/dryer in the basement of the building. Building itself is older but never felt unsafe (separate passcodes provided to enter building and enter condo). The ownership team is very responsive and I feel we got a good value!
Solid location just on the cusp of Chinatown versus Beacon Hill and the host was quick to respond as the rental company has someone monitor the chat at all times. They sent great instructions for the check-in process and as listed, parking isn't present in the vicinity. The app that's suggested doesn't list all the garages, and those it does aren't priced as it says. I would just plan time to drive around and compare rates for garages yourself to save money and frustration as many charge more than the app lists. The apartment was ok, not as new as the photos with scratches and marks on the walls, burn mark on the toilet seat. It was clean, the kitchen somewhat stocked though we didn't use it as we only stayed overnight. You do need to make sure you follow instructions for entry and exit of the building, there's separate codes for the outer building door and then the apartment itself but more importantly the elevator if taken to the 1st floor doesn't have a street exit if the businesses are closed (it lets out into a business complex). This only means following the given directions to get off the elevator on the second floor and then take the hallway to the stairs to exit to the street.
Great location made it so easy to travel everywhere we wanted to go! Great communication as well
Great location for easily exploring the city by foot. Many restaurants and bars close by and a short walk to Boston Common. The apartment was clean, easy to access, and exactly what we needed for our trip.
Great place! Perfect location and very nice inside! Would definitely stay again!
Very attentive and helpful hosts, responded quickly and the apartment was exactly as advertised.
Perfect location and everyone was super easy to work with
Alberts place was a great location , close to everything. Only issue was the elevator not working and having to climb 4 flights of stairs every time. I wish it was stated in the booking. Other then that , place was clean and bed was magnificently comfortable. Thanks.
Elevator was broken when we went. Not a huge problem but it was not communicated and there was no sign saying otherwise. My boyfriend found out the hard way. When you open the shade there's also a giant statue of Jesus on the cross looking at you, it's a little off-putting. Some stains and scratches inside. Other than that the location was excellent. 6 minutes away from Chinatown and all the Starbucks/Dunkin's you could dream of.
Loved the location! Check in/check out was very easy. Communication was smooth and the unit was clean and comfortable. Would definitely book again!
Sleeping in the bed felt like we were lying on a cloud! Bring your own shampoo and body wash. The soap felt very drying.
Pleasant experience but the elevator being broken was difficult since we were on the 4th floor.
Good location, make sure elevator is working before check in
clean, easy access, and I absolutely loved the vibe. there’s this really really cool copper statue of jesus christ at literal eye level outside of this place, and it just feels good to know that he’s watching if you’d like him to :)
Great apartment in Boston! We were able to walk everywhere!! Walls are a little thin. Bed is very comfortable!!
Great small place to stay for good value. Has everything you need.
Great place, well located. Keyless check in was super easy. The apartment has everything you need
Great bare bones option in the middle of downtown.
This is a beautiful space in a perfect location for trips of any length to Boston. It is extremely clean and cozy, with fresh and comfortable linens and amenities. Albert was very attentive and provided all information needed for the stay. The key code access to the building and apartment was a great touch. It is steps away from two connivence stores, and a 5 minute walk to many landmarks and transportation options. The only thing is a bit of city traffic and noise throughout the night, but if you are used to city living it is not a problem. A perfect experience!
Awesome Airbnb. Great location and host was super with communicating.
The location was great as well as the apartment itself! Super clean and fun to hangout in after a cold day of walking around in Boston! Albert and his team respond within minutes of being sent a message which was great. Overall would stay again the only downside was the broken elevator but no biggie! Also everything we did was within a 10-12 minute walking distance which I loved so we didn’t have to spend extra money on Ubers!
It has an amazing view and a great location to everywhere in Boston!
My partner and I had a great experience even during a snow storm! The room was comfortable and warm, and the hosts were very responsive and kind. We were in walking distance to everything needed from restaurants to convenience stores. There really is no need for a vehicle but there is street parking off the main road right next to the building (I’m sure it’s expensive). Overall, the description of the place and reviews were accurate. The only downside was that the elevator was down but the four flights of stairs were easy to walk. I would definitely stay again and recommend this quiet, comfortable place to others looking for stay in the downtown area.
Apartment was awesome! Perfect location and excellent layout. And for once, the bed was more than comfortable! All around five-star! They are both extra communicative and willing to work around your schedule. Highly recommend, beautiful home in the heart of Boston.
Albert is a very kind and responsive host. Every time I contacted him, I heard back within the hour which was nice. As for the apartment, it’s very clean and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. One downside to the apartment was that elevator was out of service at the time of my stay but I can’t blame Albert for that as he made us aware. The location is as good as it gets for Boston. You’re right in the middle of downtown and we found ourselves able to do everything we wanted to do without having to be more than a mile away from the apartment.
Great place that’s close to a lot of the city and transport. 10/10
The price is OK for living in downtown Boston. However, it is unnecessary since the public transportation here is so convenient (this was my first time in Boston), and downtown area is so noisy day and night! If I had known, I would have lived somewhere else a little further away and cheaper. The room was like it had not finished. It was dusty, the carpet was very hairy from previous tenants’ animals, and I found a used cotton bud. The elevator was not working when I stayed (the owner said that it will be inaccessible from November 22, 2021 to March 1, 2022). I am not sure how often this happens. Be aware because carrying your luggage for 4 floors is not fun. I was informed about a week before my arrival. The HVAC or A/C system was shared with other rooms on the same floor. If somebody cooks, you will participate unintentionally in their dinner. The heater was very dry without humidifier provided (or skin cream). I come from Midwest. I think I quite tolerate to dry air, but this room is too much. We got severe skin irritation. The laundry room works OK. However, it was quite scary for my girl to go alone. It is hard to explain but I feel like I was living in a hotel rather than living in an Airbnb. The previous Airbnb places I have stayed before in either the States or Europe made me felt like living in a home or friend’s house. This place made me felt like I was living in a hotel or IKEA showroom. I could not feel the warmth. Moreover, the amenities here were just enough, but in the other Airbnb normally had plenty. I think you can easily find better choices than this place in Boston.
The location is great, within walking distance to a lot! We were able to book same day we needed to stay which was also amazing. It was very easy to find and to get into the space on our own. Unfortunately, when we stayed, the elevator was not working and we had a very hard time getting our bags up and down the stairs. Other than that, the space was very clean and easy to live in. I personally wished the bathroom towels were bigger/thicker but my husband didn't mind. I was also feeling a bit dizzy as I walked the space since the floors felt uneven but I found that to be the case inside many buildings in the city! Overall, it was great.
Great place and great location.
Location location LOCATION (literally in the city center across from the T) + the comfiest bed in Boston (I can only assume) + the easiest check-in process= a 5 star stay! Thank you, Albert and co!
Great stay for visiting Boston. It’s located close to the airport, great restaurants, and shopping. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable! Although it has a full kitchen with pots and pans, it’s does not include cooking essentials like oil, tin foil or spices so we bought that from a store nearby.
Everything was great. The place was clean. It is very noisy though. If you’re staying on the weekend, you may be woken up at 3am by drunk screaming bar goers. But that’s nothing against the host, just something to keep in mind before booking. The location is great. You’re near everything. I didn’t even need a rental, I was able to walk mostly everywhere I needed to go. And the bed was 10/10. Super comfortable, the tv was already signed in to basically any streaming service. So there was lots of options to watch.
The listing photos are accurate and the location is great! If you're bringing big heavy luggage just be prepared to walk up a long flight of stairs because the elevator can be accessed on the 2nd level.
Great area, clean, comfortable! I will definitely stay with them again
Pros: The apartment is situated great, within walking distance of most tourist attractions. Cons: We've been using Airbnb about 5 years now (however mostly in Europe and Asia) and I have to admit that was the least pleasant experience so far. First of all we discovered that the apartment was not prepared for us when we opened the door in the evening (the cleaning was not finished, the bed was not done, no towels & linens). We wrote to the apartment support service and had to wait about 1 hour until they came up with the decision to move us to another apartment in 5-10 minutes walking distance. However we had to come back next morning with all of our luggage. All we got for all that massive inconvenience was "sorry". Also for Europeans: be prepared that they will ask you to tidy up a little bit and to run the dishwasher nevertheless they charge you $100 for cleaning, also they won't let to store your luggage before/after (which is common experience in the EU), check-in and check-out times are also very strict so my recommendation will be to book a hotel (especially for short run stay) - you will not get the experience you search here.
Very nice studio
I was so pleased with how quiet this place was for the AWESOME location. Clean, easy to get to, walkable, and made for a great weekend. I do recommend bringing a washcloth, as there aren’t any at the apt.
Albert was great. Keyless entry is wonderful so you can adjust your time. The place is extremely well located, 3 min from supermarket, pharmacy, metro station and a Macys. 5 min from a park, for jogging. Communication was accurate. The space is pretty good and everything works.
Clean and good value for your buck. Central to many great locations you can easily walk to.
Amazing location in downtown Boston! The space is clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay in the city.
Great spot to stay, right in downtown boston with stores and eateries in walking distance. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable! Would 100% recommend!
There are a few good pubs near by and the Chilean sandwich shop on the ground floor is delicious.
We had a great stay in the apartment, it is very comfortable and the location is also excellent.
Great place in a great location. Close to everything. Easy check-in process and friendly communication! Would definitely recommend!
Was nice
We had a great stay. Awesome location, clean and good amenities. Parking was a bit expensive but otherwise great!
Perfect location and very clean/ comfortable space. Can walk to everything including parking. Would recommend to anyone!!
Great location for walking around and exploring the city in a pretty safe area! City noise is inevitable but it's made up for by the great space and easy remote check in/out process.
Perfect location everything is walking distance and it’s simple if you are just needing somewhere to sleep & shower.
Clean, bright, and perfectly located apartment in the heart of Boston with everything we needed for a stay in the city—including a pot of coffee in the morning. :) Easy walking access to Downtown Crossing, the North End, Faneuil Hall, South Station, Chinatown, and the Seaport District. Easy check-in/out and seamless communication with host. Thanks for a great stay!
Clean and perfect location. Host provided detailed and helpful instructions for check in and check out.
Showed up at checkin time and the apartment had not been clean. They were quick about sending housekeeping.
Good location. Good place for a quick weekend stay.
Simple and as expected
Location was great and unit seemed as expected upon check-in. However, the fridge door was broken and would open on its own. We were usually able to get it to shut completely but it opened on its own when we were out one afternoon so all of our food went bad and we had to pay to order food for the remainder of the trip. Also, the management company wanted $20 per night for a pack n play which is completely outrageous so beware if you are not trying to pay for the cost of a new pack and play for a just few nights, you’ll need to bring your own!
Location was great and thats the only reason I am giving it a 3 star review. When I brought up the some concerns about our space, the host was very defensive and did not take it well. Bathroom does not have a curtain or a door, so when taking a shower all the water comes out. When I brought this up, host said "Be an adult and wipe it off with a towel" which I had no problem doing, but that is not how I want to be treated as a guest. He could have been polite about it. The floor was not straight, it was leaning in at one place, but that affected the whole place. It was concerning. Again when brought it up to the host, he did not care or take it well.
Great place to stay near downtown Boston - plenty to do within walking distance
Alberts stay was great! Exactly what expected and in a great location! AC was bumping and check in was so convenient! Albert was very quick to respond and super helpful. Would recommend
The stay was wonderful and just as advertised. Thank you!
Location is great, within walking distance of South Station and plenty of fast food restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Unit was clean upon arrival and had no issues throughout the stay.
Overall, this apartment is situated in an excellent location. Lots of bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, and convenient stores within walking distance. Easy access to orange, green, and red line so visiting greater Boston area is very convenient. Not ideal for longer term stay (>2 days). Only two bath towels provided. No place to dispose of trash within building. Extra supplies (TP) provided 2.5 days after requested - we ended up buying our own. Instructions for building entry and elevator access after hours initially unclear. If host fixes these inconveniences, it is a 5 star place.
The location is perfect! Not far from subway but also has lots nearby! Checking in can be confusing. Especially if you get there late at night. The door you enter and how you get to the flat is a little confusing at first but completely doable. The space was at the end of the hall which was nice. Right by the elevator. If you aren't used to city noise you'll be in for a rude awakening at night time, street cleaners, garbage trucks, rowdy loud night life on their own adventures for the night. It didn't bother me, but could for some. The bedroom gets a little warm in the morning as there are only blinds and not curtains to keep the light out. The room was much warmer in the morning because the light comes right in. Bed was very comfortable! Tv was confusing at first, but we figured it out. Couch is small, but serves it's purpose. Hard to watch tv while in bed. Sofa at the end of the bed blocks the view a bit. There are 2 smaller closets with a few hangers. Iron and ironing board, extra chair, and a folding table for luggage. Bathroom was small but functional. was grateful for the mirror that opens to a medicine cabinet, was able to have more space around the sink to keep makeup and toothbrush organized. Toilet is crammed between the sink and the shower. If you are a larger person, this could be very uncomfortable for you. The shower was huge. Good water pressure and was able to get it hot!! Kitchen area was wonderful, full sized fridge/freezer, oven/stovetop, microwave and dishwasher. Small table and 2 chairs. Had an electric kettle, coffee maker, dishes, silverware... perfect for heating up left overs because we certainly didn't cook anything! The space really was lovely and utilized well! Location was perfect for us! There is a church literally across the street with a Jesus nailed on a cross looking into your window. The owners obviously have zero control over this. It threw us off at first and scared me in the middle of the night when we first got in. But it does function as a church and we did see people going in and out of service on Sunday if that is appealing to you. I would suggest this place because location is amazing to downtown. We are more night life people, and this was wonderful for us! The owners responded quicky and were extremely accomodating during the booking process! Come see Boston from here!!!
The AirBNB charges $100 for cleaning fees where all other AirBNB I have stayed in are $35. As a result we expected the place to be immaculate. However, it looks like children took pencils to the walls, the entire place needs a new coat of paint, there were no trash bags in the kitchen and only 1 in the bathroom (but there are additional fees for leaving trash), no soap in the bathroom, the oven doesn’t look clean, the shampoo bottles had a red stain that looked like smeared blood and the biggest concern was that there was no fitted sheet or mattress cover on the bed, instead there were 3 top sheets. Overall it was far below what we expected given all of the restrictions and fees. Plus we only stayed for 1 night.
Very clean, quiet, and cozy
Our stay was alright. A few issues here and there but we’re resolved fairly quickly. A little on the $$ side for the location in my opinion.
Apartment is nothing too extravagant but the location is great, it’s one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in & the host was unbelievably responsive!
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
