The unit looked like pics but darker, easy to find and get in. Host gave clear instructions. Location is both good and bad. we booked without reading reviews bc it was very centrally located and we would be able to get off the rail from south station and walk everywhere and take silver to airport from there. But the street the unit is on is ghetto. we were hit up multiple times for money just walking out the door to the main street. There was a group of people leaned against the door blocking entry into unit literally smoking crack &weed and were there for hours and I reached out to host who called their security to come ask them to not block the entryway. Host was very responsive and they were not there when we got back from dinner. Someone got arrested right outside the window. Unit seemed clean but we found stains in bedding so we washed the bedding. cost us $10 using the very scary basement building laundry . very creepy stay I would not recommend for solo female/kids
The apartment was in good condition. My only complaint is that a few junkies were often hanging out at the entrance of the building. The unit was also located at the first floor, and they made noise late at night. Would not recommend this place if traveling with kids.
The apartment itself was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It was close to public transit and good for a short stay. My only real issue was the area we stayed in. There are a lot of homeless people hanging around, we came back several times to find them sitting blocking the front steps. I know there is not much the owners can do to help this however as a female traveler I did not feel the safest. Overall healing homes was great, they had good communication and I appreciate their cause. I would love to book with them again just perhaps in a different area. Thanks for everything!
My experience here was pretty good. The room itself was decently clean, and the bed was nice and comfortable. The check in process was simple and easy. The location was also quite central which was very convenient. My main concern was that every night/morning, there were about 5-10 unhoused individuals sitting on the front steps of the building. This was the only entrance and so you essentially had to scooch your way in between them to get in. I didn’t end up having any issues with these people, and they simply let me walk by, but as a female solo traveller I felt unsafe in this situation. Especially since the room was right inside this door. The price also seemed a bit high for what the place was, but I suppose this was likely due to the location and the cost of living in Boston. Overall, I’d recommend this place, but if you are a solo traveller, to make sure that you are comfortable being vigilant getting in and out past unhoused persons.

We stayed in their first floor studio apartment for 5 nights. First impressions, we thought the place is very clean, the perfect size for the two of us, and in a central location of the city and public transportation. Final thoughts, Healing Homes was very clear with their instructions which made check-in and check-out very easy. Being on the first floor we could hear everything going on outside in the middle of the night but nightlife is expected when staying in the city. Overall, we would definitely come back. It was a great experience!

An excellent stay! Easy and hassle free check in, with a central 'home base' in the middle of walkable downtown Boston. Everything was as expected.
The space was clean and good sized studio. Our apartment was on the first floor and the walls are thin. The first night was tough as there was a lot of foot traffic and it was right outside our window. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Boston. Other nights weren’t as noisy but you need to make sure to stay vigilant when checking in and out.

The place was as presented. The location was good and it was clean and nice. The air conditioning was a little quirky, it was either warm or cold and difficult to regulate. The downside was the noise factor. You could hear people outside the window like they were just inside the apartment and my husband was awakened at 2am by music playing outside our window.

The place was a nice place to stay and perfect for 2 people! The only downfall is the homeless lingering outside and screaming at all hours of the night. You could also hear residence/guests entering all hours of the night.

Please read. The only thing I'm going to write about it what happened when me and my friend checked out. We were running a bit late for check-out and the cleaning people were waiting outside. So while we were packing up the rest of our stuff, we let them in, no problem. They did their thing and we did ours. However... we literally watched them just make the bed. Zero sheet change, zero washing, zero anything. Just made the bed... that I had slept in for 2 nights... DISGUSTING! I feel bad for the next guest now and am wondering if they were clean when I used them. If they didnt wipe the counters or something that's one thing, but this is vile.

The apartment had a convenient, central location. Good for getting to the different tourist sites. Convenient to the airport as well. However, it's in a very busy, very loud area. Buses and trucks driving by all night kept me awake. Also, I felt a little unsafe. There were people doing hard drugs right outside the building. Not just at night, but during the day. As the room is on the ground floor, we saw someone shooting up with a needle right outside our window the evening we arrived (around 6 pm). Boston is expensive, so this apartment was reasonably priced. Healing Homes responded to my messages quickly. The room was clean and comfortable.
Great location in terms of getting around the city. Lovely airbnb and no complaints about the actually airbnb itself, however we struggled to get in and out of the apartment building due to homeless people sleeping and sitting in front of the door entrance.
The positive about this place is the cause they say they contribute money to. Otherwise, the homeless problem outside of the front door is out of control. There was a physical fight outside my first night, cops were called. The next morning heroin needles were on the front step. The cigarette and weed smoke consumed the apartment each night. The second day, the bathroom door locked from the outside (I had never used the lock), I communicated this to the owners, but two hours went by without any maintenance. I was late for work and decided to call for help myself to resolve the issue.

Very clean place, the instructions to finding it and getting in were very clear. Once inside, everything was clean and neat. I was very glad that their heating system worked very well because our first night there, it was very windy and cold outside. It’s a great place for a short stay for two people. It’s so close to everything we wanted to do. I’d definitely book it again in the future. Also I didn’t deal with much outside noise so my stay was very peaceful.

My wife and I spent a couple days in Boston on our vacation. Many of the main attractions were an easy walk to get to (i.e. Boston Common, The Freedom Trail, Little Italy, Beacon Street, etc.). We did not use public transit, but access to the sybway and buses is also very close. The property is clean and well equipped for a short stay. It is on the first floor, so almost no stairs to climb. You do get a little noise from the street, but we found that to be minor. Communication with the host was great. They provided good info. for check in and check out and were very responsive to questions. We would recommend this property to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There are some issues that others have pointed out (toilet roll holder completely falling out of the wall) that the host has seemingly ignored and not fixed. The wall beside the bed is filthy dirty and needs a clean and paint. Pros: Great location- right downtown. When we arrived in Boston, Albert’s team was very flexible to accommodate us an hour earlier. Upon arrival, the space reeks of old urine at the entrance, outside and inside. Many homeless individuals have made themselves home in the front entrance of the building. The last straw for us was when we came back for our first night, after grabbing dinner, and we had to wait for a group of homeless men to finish a heroin/drug deal. We felt unsafe for most of our stay after that. Understanding that the host could do only so much, I contacted AirBNB. They informed me the host would not honor a refund so we could find safer accommodations. Neither the host nor the AirBNB team helped us get out of this situation. We will not be using this app again as a result. Safety is not a priority for this host or this app, and I have a paper trail to show for it in screenshots and unanswered requests.
The place was as described. Location was in walking distance of restaurants and CVS drugstore. A bit noisy at night but that is to be expected for a downtown location. Albert was always responsive to any questions I had. I would stay again.
It was an excellent stay! The space corresponds to the photos, Albert responds quickly, gave clear instructions, restaurant tips, the place is easy to find, well located, it is on the subway street and close to great stores. However, unfortunately, there are many houseless people in the street and who stay at the door of the building. There was a day that I had to ask for permission from them to be able to enter the building.
Best deal for housing in the city. Really close to great food and you can walk anywhere within 20-30 minutes. There’s also some nice convenience stores on the same street corner. Getting into the apartment was also very simple and a clean house.

Overall, it was a great deal. Would stay there again. The mattress was the biggest downfall, as it was soft, loud, and uncomfortable. Other than that, the room was phenomenal. As a side note, if you are a light sleeper- the room is right next to the street and there are a lot of homeless. So plan for noise.

It's about half a block from summer street, so I didn't have to walk far to get to a street that felt safe, but I felt unsafe enough that it kept me from going out at night.

The apartment was as described and was easy to walk everywhere or get on the T (Boston train system). we were on the first floor and it was rather load though. you could hear vehicles and people very clearly and at all hours (we are not from the city so we are not used to this much noise, especially when sleeping).
Alberts place is in a great location. We liked that it was on the first level so we didn’t have to haul our luggage up the stairs. It’s very close to restaurants and shopping areas as well as the theater district. It took about 5 min. to walk to the Boston Opera House and see a show!

This property is operated by Healing Hearts of Boston. It appears to be used for temporary housing as needed and rented the rest of the time, which is great by me; just know this isn't some private residence. The neighborhood is close to fun parts of town and very walkable, which I appreciate. With that comes some noise and rumbles at night. I felt very safe. The unit is on the ground floor, so if you're sensitive to noise or feel uncomfortable with some action outside your window at night, simply be aware. Healing Hearts was super communicative, kind, and extremely quick when I had any questions! Thank you!

The Airbnb studio I stayed in had its pros and cons. On the one hand, the space was clean, spacious, and had a fully stocked kitchen with a modern decor that was great to relax in after a busy day at work. On the other hand, it was directly on the street level, which made it very noisy with a homeless man often outside all night shouting and a strong smell of urine. Additionally, construction work by the building manager right outside the door at 6:30-7am on a few days made it difficult to sleep in. The hosts were very responsive and polite but couldn't do much about the noise. Overall, it's a great option if you don't mind noise, but look for a higher floor if you value peace and quiet.

Exceptional service with Albert! This place felt super homey and I loved it so much with my partner. Great for solo trips or even couples! In a prime location of Boston and the place has everything you need on your getaway. Super helpful team. Just keep in mind it is a first floor unit so you will hear the street and people entering the building and going up the stairs but totally no bother to us at all. Actually made me feel at home being from NY!! Such a great experience and will totally stay here again when back in Boston.

I visited Boston for a conference, and this Airbnb was great for me! The price was very reasonable for Boston, and the location could not have been more central. The Airbnb is about a five-minute walk from South Station, where most travelers arrive, and it is within walking distance of most of what business and leisure travelers want to see and do in Boston. Check-in was easy, thanks to a fully electronic process (i.e., keypads), and it is easy to find most everything you need in the area, as there are many fast food and fast casual restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, and department stores within a few blocks. The apartment is as described: it's small and simple, but it's great for one person and possibly for a couple. I never had any serious problems, but the host was very responsive when I had questions. All in all, I had a great experience, and I would happily return to this Airbnb. In fact, I would happily buy/rent an apartment in this building if I lived in Boston!

Albert was super responsive and accommodating when we arrived a little earlier than expected. The apartment is a perfect location for exploring the city and we had no issues at all with street lights (there is both blinds and curtains) or sounds as some others have mentioned. The only downside is that you can hear every single noise from the lobby and there are a few people coming and going. There is also very little natural light which didn’t affect us too much as we were out all day, but you do need all the lights on during the day (especially as it’s ground floor so we didn’t necessarily want to open toe blinds all the way). Overall super convenient and safe feeling, a great base to explore Boston from :)

Initial communication was great. Upon arrival I noted hairs on the bed and in the blankets/sheets. I was told they would reach out to the cleaning team and then I never heard back. There is a dried grass-type rug in the floor that’s not pictured - as we know rugs cannot truly be cleaned between tenants. The toilet paper holder and an outlet cover were falling out of the wall. It’s worth noting that this 1a apartment is street side and located right next to the entrance door. The street lights and noise continued all night long. A box fan of some sort would be helpful with noise and to provide airflow since it’s not feasible to open the windows given the location.

We loved our stay here, it was absolutely close to everything right in the center of the city. With that comes having to find/pay for parking so be prepared if you’re driving. The only negative about this place was that check in was after 5pm which seemed later than most places. We enjoyed our stay otherwise in this beautiful studio!

Albert's apartment is located in downtown which is close to everything one needs for a quick holiday. The apartment is clean and was accurate as described. One thing to note though is that the building has two doors with the apartment # at the top of both doors - take the door on your left when facing the building (I got confused with the other door which did not have the electronic keypad since I found the doors on the right but did not know there was another door on the left). Thank you Albert for being a wonderful host.

I enjoyed my stay at Albert’s listing in Boston. The host always responded to my communications in less than an hour. The day of my check-in the Albert sent an email with all the pertinent information I needed. The late check-in time, 5:00 pm, didn’t affect me because I had planned to arrive late in the evening. I had no problems accessing the property. The studio was clean and well decorated. Thought the studio is on the first floor there wasn’t as much noise as expected. This was probably due to it being off the main street. The property was near everything. It was a 10-minute walk from South Station. The Boston Commons was a five-minute walk. On the corner of the property was a main street filled with stores and restaurants. Right on the corner was a 7 -11, which came in handy when I cam back to the room too late and tired to find someplace to eat. The early checkout, 10:00 am, was a bit inconvenient but I made it work.

Great and well equipped place in the center of Boston. Perfect place for couples to explore the city! Everything is really close. We were able to walk almost everywhere and supermarkets and restaurants are also super close. Only slight downfall is the noise in the city center and the place being close to the entrance door on the ground floor. Also the internet does not have the most stable connection but it was ok for us. All in all we were super happy with our choice and we would definitely come again! A great stay in Boston and highly recommended

We enjoyed our stay this place, the room was tidy and had pretty much everything we needed for the stay. Parking was the only downfall but it was stated on the listing that its not included and we were aware of this before arriving. Would recommend to any person or couple visiting Boston!
Well-situated in Boston; not far from many tourist destinations, however many seem to frequent the door step and vicinity to urinate and mill about. Our unit was clean and everything you would expect of a hotel room/small studio. Being on the first floor I could hear EVERY time a person and or their dogs went in and out of the building. Being on the first floor also meant hearing every conversation on the street and lack of blackout curtains meant I couldn’t block out light coming off the street. Again, the studio was very hotel like and would recommend to anyone that isn’t affected by loud sounds or flashing lights.

Its a good place to stay. Host us available all the time. This place have everything that one needs. It was clean and there are shopping centres and necessary items store just outside. The location of this apartment is hard to beat! In the heart of downtown just seconds away from all the action! The apartment isn't the fanciest I've stayed at, but I'd give that up for the convenience of being in Downtown Boston (especially if you are going to be out all day and come back only for the night)! The place is at street level and so noise can be an issue (but it didn't bother me or my wife at all), and I wasn't too confident of keeping the blinds on (the host has put curtains on them so that is great, but we didn't open them throughout our stay). Check in and check out was smooth and the host was communicative.
Can’t beat this location. We walked to everything and what we didn’t the T stops were just a few steps away. The only reason I didn’t go 5 stars was because the unit was near the door and right on street level which was pretty loud. Other than that great spot!
The location was absolutely perfect. If you like the subway - you are at Downtown Crossing which is near the middle of all the lines. You are very near the Boston Common also. There is a 7-Eleven next door for drinks or snacks for the fridge and a Cafe Nero practically next door for excellent coffee, breakfast, etc. We had a sound machine and it blocked any noise at all - I would highly recommend it. If you stay here, you will have a wonderful stay. It was far better than the very nice hotels in the area I have stayed at before (and less expensive).

The bed and pillows were super comfortable however the walls are extremely thin and the unit faces the street. We heard all other tenants come home throughout the night into the early morning and we heard tons of noise from the road all night long. We went to purchase hand soap for the kitchen to wash our hands. Basic toiletries but only two towels were provided for our entire stay which was bizarre. Overall a memorable stay with comfortable accommodations.

If you’re traveling to Boston and want to be close to transit, stay here. Less than 10 min walk to South Station, and less than 2 blocks from Downtown Crossing subway stop. Really good soundproofing for a downtown unit slightly above street level, and spacious / comfy for a downtown studio. Don’t bother getting a DT hotel.

Really nice, clean, well-equipped unit located at the heart of the city. Plenty of restaurants and interesting things to see are within walking distance. Can be noisy during the evenings but that's true for most of the downtown units. Great value overall.

Great location in downtown Boston. Shopping, historical sites, and late night bars are all within walking distance. Overnight parking garage on the next block over is $40. Studio is about a 15 minute taxi ride to Fenway Park. (Taxi is cheaper than Uber). Definetely recommend if you need a place to stay in the city.

Great stay in Boston! The location is good, really central, and it's for a good cause: as the host informed me: each stay helps them "subsidize the cost of medical stays for families visiting Boston for treatment/surgery/etc. We work with a few local non-profits to provide our space to patients and families in need, so by booking with us you're helping a family who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of the stay." It had everything I needed, including a coffeemaker and kettle. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable.

This was a wonderful apartment for one or two travelers who want to explore Boston. The apartment is located in the Financial District, and in minutes you can walk to a ton of places. If you want to go further afield, the red and orange lines of the subway are just over a block away. It couldn't be more convenient! The apartment was comfortable and meticulously clean. Super AMAZING location!!! Right in the heart of downtown. We took the silver line from the airport and did the easy walk to the air b&b. Super cute studio, everything you will need right there. Great bathroom, good water pressure. Soft bed, nice pillows, and good curtains to help block out city lights. It is right downtown. We walked to Chinatown for dinner and to North end for breakfast. The freedom trail was right down the street. Great place to stay if you want all of Boston right out your door and don’t mind sleeping in a city. It is a ground floor unit and it felt very secure. Only city noise, nothing that kept us up at night. We had 24hrs to explore Boston and staying in this air b&b in the heart of downtown allowed us to do everything we wanted. The host responded quickly to messages and was extremely accommodating to any requests. Great place to stay, can not say enough good things about this location.

This is a great spot. It’s small, but it’ll have everything you need. It has nice dark out shades and plenty of kitchenware to cook a nice dinner. It’s a perfect walk to the train, the theater district, and there are a lot of small places around to get coffee and lunch in the morning and afternoon. There’s a parking garage very close by that you can use to park in. I greatly enjoyed my stay here, and would recommend it to other travelers. The hosts are SUPER responsive!

We had a wonderful visit at this airbnb because the location was perfect with plenty of stores and eatery’s in walking distance. It really felt like we were living right in the city! As for the airbnb itself, it felt a bit cheap. The bed, linens, towels, couch, and coffee table all felt thin and not worth the price we were paying to stay. I hope this is something they could improve for later tenants! Overall though, communication with the team was great! They were professional and responded very quickly when we needed them. We would definitely still recommend this airbnb to others; however, I just wish the amenities, furniture, and decor didn’t appear so cheap and flimsy. But overall still a great visit! Thank you to their team!

cons: -3/5 for cleanliness, dusty, no tp on roll, food left over in pot -VERY DRY, I saw another review about this but brushed it off cause I didn't think it was a big deal, but no kidding it was almost unbearable. We had to boil water to get some vapor in the air. Its almost as if the heater acted as a dehumidifier -An alarm was going off outside our door all night every second to the point we couldn't sleep they offered us a different room for the second night when I asked for an accommodation. - Its on the first floor, beside the main entrance with the window on street level so it is exceptionally noisy, with lots of foot traffic but their bio explains this already. Would recommend trying to get a room on a higher floor if you're a light sleeper pros: - Quick & responsive communications - Dishes, soaps, towels available for use - Comfortable bed, nice shower
My friend and I really enjoyed staying in this studio apartment while visiting Boston for the first time. It was clean, tidy and had plenty of towels. It’s very basic but that’s all we needed for a quick weekend to Boston. It’s in the perfect location and we walked to dinner two nights in a row. The owner was a quick responder and answered all our questions in detail and in a timely manor. Highly recommend! 10/10

This place has a prime location! Super close to the downtown crossing station, and most of the major landmarks you want to visit in Boston are within walking distance. Keep in mind that there’s a decent bit of street noise that gets as you’re right next to the front door. But we didn’t mind too much when staying there, and slept quite comfortably.

This is a great place to stay. It is walking distance to many major sites/attractions in Boston, about a five-minute walk to South Station, and only a two-minute walk from the nearest T (train/subway) station. The place is clean and has all the amenities you would want for sleeping and preparing/keeping your own food. The hosts are very communicative. I would stay here again!

Place is amazing! Looks exactly like the picture and the bed was super comfortable. The space is perfect for a couple and we had a great time. It’s also super close to a lot of restaurants (Quincy Market) and nearby CVS and Walgreens. Location was great overall, but felt a bit sketchy at night with homeless people nearby. But would come back again!
Great location close to trains. This place is on the first floor at street level. Something to keep in mind if you’re a person that likes having the blinds open. The apartment is next to the front door. There’s some noise as people enter and leave the building, but it was not disruptive to sleep.

The location I thought was perfect. Real simple to find. However if you have trouble getting in you can count on Albert being passive aggressive with you. He was pretty snappy. We went back and forth massaging each other and he wanted to cancel my stay. I explained to him how I'd been traveling and hadn't had much sleep, he wanted to compare his traveling with mine. He didn't have to do all that. I then told him after all that I had just loss a family member to covid he then told me if I had any questions to message his team. Maybe we were both tired from traveling so much I don't know, but we both could have been a bit more nicer to each other. The place is great. Cute spot.

The host was extremely amazing at communicating instantly, the apartment was clean and comfy! Only issue is I read a lot of comments stating about the noise and such and it’s true - this apartment is right by entrance and first floor so you can hear EVERYTHING with people coming in and including AC unit which didn’t bother me too much, but my husband didn’t enjoy it too much. Other than that it’s a great spot, SUPER convenient to everything we wanted to check out and right by subway and Amtrack train station, and 11 -15 minute walk to North End where we loved to eat.

The location was amazing here! Really close to the Boston Common, Public Garden, Beacon Street, Freedom Trail, and close to the T if you need to get around. There is a grocery store around the corner if you wanted to make some food in. The bed was really comfortable as well. Great communication from the team of people who hosted us. Easy check in/out process. They were very thorough in the description. They do say this in the description but it can be loud outside at times. We were on street level and where we were they pick up trash at 11pm, people talking outside can be heard clearly, etc. But that wasn't unexpected because it was street level. Ultimately we had a great time.

Great location for a lot of historic Boston. A little loud, being the first floor and near the apt entrance. No TP when we shows up 3am after a miserable flight, which was pretty unfortunate.
Conveniently located in Downtown Crossing with nearby access to the Orange and Red lines. Space was good for two people and for the most part had the amenities needed when on vacation. I came here with a girlfriend and there was only a small mirror in the bathroom which made things tricky when getting ready to go out. While there are many more pros than cons, I should mention that the area does get a little sketchy at night, particularly right in front of the 7-Eleven at the corner (this is of no fault to the host!) and perhaps because it is summer, but the scent of urine was quite strong. All in all, would stay here again!
Loved our stay!! This airbnb is a perfect location and very clean. Just around the corner from a grocery store and a short walk to Chinatown and the North End.

WiFi went out for a day but there was nothing that was able to be done due to it being an outage and there was no bed sheet. It was a flat sheet laid over the top of the mattress.

A nice , clean, small apartment, and Albert was quick and easy to communicate with! The studio is right inside building entrance so coming and going was a breeze. You will, however, find better value in the area if you do a little shopping.

The apartment is great, everything was exactly as described. Good location, clean, with all the necessary. The only thing to consider is that is very noisy. You will hear people from the street or others departments.
Do not let the outside of the building push you away because this place has everything you need for a little get away! The location is in the middle of everything so walking anywhere is not an issue. Super clean and comfortable and the directions for entering were clear and concise! This unit has AC which was so necessary with the heat! 10/10 recommend!!
Thanks for a great stay in a clean room. Location was great and as described. A little clarification in the check-in could be helpful in the future as it’s not clear what the room number is (TH1A) and how to engage the door lock (waving at your hand over it), however we communicated quickly and easily and someone helped us right away. Overall, great stay and we will come stay here again next time in Boston!

Very nice looking apartment. Easy to get into and check-in. Close to many things and in walking distance, close to trains. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, definitely need to keep alert while walking around at night. Apartment is on the 1st floor right next to the main entry to the building so you could hear whenever the main door was slamming shut after someone came in or left. Also could hear people walking by on sidewalk and cars driving by. So if you need silence this is not the right place. No cleaning items to wash dishes.

Location location location!!! Very clean area, coffee shops and park right around the corner and no more than a 15 minute walk from everything we had planned! Parking garage is super close as well if you need to drive farther away!
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
