This beautiful apartment has exposed brick and an industrial feel, but also the warmth and comfiness of an inviting home. What makes this space unique is it's history. The building hallways all show historic photos of the neighborhood dating back to the 1800s! Just steps from the Boston Common, this building has had many tenants over the decades, from retail shops to manufacturing companies!
The building has an ADA compliant entrance, two elevators, two staircases, plenty of storage for trash, and even an Amazon Locker where you can send packages. (at the time of writing this description we are currently setting up the locker, please confirm if it is operational when you book!)
Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed, from the linens pillows and mattress to storage and lighting. Most bedrooms face inwards into a lightwell, or outwards into a city street, so you may not have "Amazing" views of a city skyline, but you will likely have a nice dark night sleep.
Each apartment is equipped with a smart lock and the building has an intercom system which allows a full, self-check-in experience.
The building is also monitored live by a third party security firm, 24/7 and we have an on-site security guard, nightly, from 8pm-2pm for your safety.
We will give our guests the privacy they require with the support they need. We have coverage for virtual help from 7am-11pm and can help with any guest needs from 11am-7pm.
Just steps from the Boston Common, this neighborhood has had many personalities over the decades! Since the early 1900s, the area along Washington and Tremont Streets, roughly from School Street to Beach Street, has also been referred to as the Ladder District. Now it is most commonly named Downtown Crossing as most of the city's Subway's or (T-lines) intersect at Park Street station. The MBTA's Downtown Crossing subway station directly serves Downtown Crossing. The State Street and Park Street stations are within close walking distance. Silver Line service is also available. You can get literally anywhere in the city for a few dollars and a Tpass.
The apartment building is located on a dead end street which means it's super quiet for automobile traffic, but still has the lively city feel as foot traffic is sure to be noticeable any time of day, even in the winter. The Boston Common is only a few hundred feet from the entrance to the building.
Important to note is that lately there has been a gathering of homeless people during the day and night, right outside the 7/11 around the corner. The high foot-traffic provides them opportunities to pan-handle. Please use your caution, and common sense. We've never had an issue, but for folks visiting from towns and rural settings may find this surprising, even concerning.
We've taken measures to make sure our guests are very safe and comfortable during their stays. The building is monitored 24/7 live by a third party security firm. The Boston Improvement Department does nightly walks of the property and nearby streets. We also have an on-site security guard, nightly from 8pm-2am for your safety.

Shipping up to Boston? We put together a great guide filled with information for getting around the city and beyond!
Downtown Boston is easy to navigate. It’s compact, walkable, has an abundance of taxis, yes they still exist! And Uber's are always a tap away. What makes Boston so accessible is it's public transportation system. Driving downtown can be a challenge with its dated road layout and limited parking options but, it’s the most convenient option for travel outside of Boston Proper.
The MBTA is Boston’s public transportation system, and it’s a great way to get around quickly and cheaply. The “T” refers to the subway, which runs throughout Boston, into Cambridge, and into nearby suburbs, providing access to all the attractions located in Boston. Just look for the big "T" in a circle to find a stop.
You can also take buses to get all over the city, and the Commuter Rail is an easy way to get to points outside of Boston. You can buy paper “Charlie Tickets” for single or multiple subway rides at vending machines located in most stations. When your ticket runs low, visit a fare vending machine to add value. A single basic fare for the T is $2.75 with a Charlie Ticket, although if you pick up a Charlie Card (a plastic card like a credit card), the fare is lower at $2.25 for one way. You can load the Charlie Card with an amount of your choosing, so it's smart way to explore the city. They're available at almost every T stop, and are free to get. Once on board, hang on! Being one of the oldest public transportation systems in the country, the T is not always the smoothest ride.
Parking. or "Paahking" is hard to find, expensive (by most tourists accounts) and is best done in lots or garages for peace of mind. Please check out a website called "Spot Hero" to find the most updated options and prices!

We all had an amazing time in Boston, unfortunately the Celtics lost but it was an amazing weekend and this place was a short walk to TD Garden and right across from Boston commons.. I will be looking to stay here again..
Great place in downtown Boston, great location! Clean and spacious apartment. Hosts were super flexible with check in and check out. Very responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect spot in Downtown Boston. Walkable for most of the city. Would stay here again.
We had a great stay at this apartment! It was spacious enough for our group of six, and the location couldn’t have been better—very central to everything in Boston. The host was very responsive throughout our trip, which made things even easier. The only downside was that the living space felt a little cramped for all of us to sit comfortably at once. Also, while we expected some street noise based on other reviews, the real issue was the noise inside the building. We were next to a cleaning cabinet, and we could hear everything—from doors slamming to the cleaning crew moving things around. The noise from neighbors talking and taking the elevator also added to the disturbance. We were pretty tired after long days of sightseeing, but one couple in our group was very sensitive to the noise, so it was a bit difficult for them to get any rest/sleep. If you’re sensitive to noise, this might not be the best choice, but overall, it’s a solid space in a prime location with a responsive host.
Great location- it was easy to walk or hop on the train to get to places. It was a perfect size for our group of 6
You really can’t be in a better location than this! Perfect for our short business trip and the furniture is comfy. If this place is available, book it!
We enjoyed a quick overnight stay. My family as more than comfortable!
Some issues with leaks but Healing Home was communicative and proactive about looking into it, and it didn’t interrupt our stay. Central location and clean. Note that you do have to bring your own hand and dish soap for the bathroom and kitchen as that was not provided.
Loved the place very spacious and easy to find would return !
My friends and I enjoyed the stay. The location is great and close to everything. Great for walking and close to the metro. If you decide to drive, there are various parking garages within a short distance as the parking spot for the unit was unavailable at the time. Accommodation was great. Host provided easy instructions for check and was very responsive.
Perfect location for walking around the Commons and the Freedom Trail.
Very enjoyable stay! Exactly how it was portrayed!
Host was extremely responsive. location was perfect for our needs on the trip. very eeasy to come go as needed.
Great accommodations and very responsive
We will be rebooking. We found it very centralized and so large for the price. This place made it a great experience. We felt very safe and at home. Highly recommended and close to the subway!
Great place to stay. Convenient location , shopping mall and restaurants around.
Our stay with Healing Homes was great! Extremely responsive and helpful hosts. The building was easy to find and the home was extremely clean and spacious enough for a small group to stay. Location was great and walkable to downtown Boston along with many shops, restaurants, parking garage within minutes from the building. Would recommend and would stay again!
Although I was extremely disappointed in my stay, the manager communicated incredibly well! I will give them that and the unit was immaculate! I did have to complain about the people upstairs slamming through at 130am, the pics of the units were misleading as to how small the apartment really was. I would rent from them again just a different place.
I stayed at this location with a group of coworkers to save money on four hotel rooms. The setup here was perfect. The bedrooms are spread out through a long hallway so each felt very private. My room was absolutely silent, although one of my colleagues said she heard noise from upstairs in her room. All of us were surprised by how spacious our rooms were. The bathrooms were also large, beautifully finished, and provided everything we needed. The host answered all my questions lightning fast and offered helpful recommendations. There was major construction on the building next door but it didn’t impact our experience at all. I wasn’t sure how it would go compared to everyone having their own private hotel room, but it was a very successful choice!
I like simplicity and cleanliness! This was both in addition to being in a great location! Will stay again!
This was a great Airbnb experience. The place is as described and the neighborhood was safe. We took Ubers everywhere but it’s close to the subway too. I would definitely stay here again!
Great place! Super responsive host, great location and very clean.
Great place to stay, cleaning fee is a bit too much and they have a $200 nonrefundable pet fee which is not very far.
Good location. Unit was clean but not as it looks in the pictures. Many electrical outlets didn’t work. They had a TV but no instructions how to use it. VERY uncomfortable couch, can feel every spring. Very late checkin 5pm and early 10 am check out. Very expensive for 17 hours.
10/10 would recommend. It made our stay stress free!
We only had a short stay, but really enjoyed the accommodations. Was prefect for our family and everyone got their own bedroom. Super clean, and a fun, walkable part of Boston. Would stay again.
The place was great! Very clean, charming & centrally located! Walking distance to most everything! Beds were comfortable! Would’ve liked a small TV in bedroom. The only TV is in the main area and couch was uncomfortable. I read about noise from remodeling the lobby, but the remodel is nearly complete so we had no disruption from that! Had a little trouble getting into the building. The back entrance elevator was not working & we didn’t want to lug our suitcases upstairs, so we had to walk around the block to enter the front where the elevator’s were working. We reported the issue to Brian & it was fixed fairly quickly. Brian was very responsive. We were a little put off to be charged an early check in fee, even though the unit was not rented the day before. And with paying for early check in, the earliest you can check in is 2pm! We had to use a luggage storage place which was not optimal. Most hotels offer a 12 or 1pm early check in. Overall a great experience and highly recommend!
Good communication and right next to train station.
Location is superb! Unfortunately, doing our stay, there was a lot of construction going on both inside and outside but we are sure that once it’s complete, it will look wonderful. As far as being inside, the lone sofa in the living room is pretty, but is horrendously uncomfortable. None of us could sit on it. Also, there was an ongoing loud buzzing sound That was intermittent pretty much on and off all the time. If possible, it would be very helpful to create a short video showing guests how to operate the door entry system. All the basics were there and it was perfect for what we needed.
Great location and walkable to many things. Parking wasn't great in the area though so we had to use a garage. We were traveling with 2 kids under 3 so using the elevator was convenient however, getting onto the street for drop off was difficult because cars were not allowed to drive down that street. The bathroom leaked water into the hallway too from the shower. The place was clean and I liked that they provided a brita for water, a sponge and detergent.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so close to the T and walking distance to everything. We felt very safe going to and from the building. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. We would recommend staying here!
Good central location walkable to freedom trail locations and the subway station for destinations further away. Clean and comfortable beds. Some noise could be heard from other units but we just turned on white noise app on our phones at night.
This stay was perfectly located for all things downtown Boston. You can walk to restaurants, cafes, freedom park, the aquarium, Faneuil square, the harbor, etc. Check in/out was very easy and the apartment was very clean. The only thing I will advise about staying here, is it is very hard to have a car in downtown Boston. There is not a lot of parking and overnight parking is about a 10-15 min walk from the apartment. However, all things considered, it was a perfect stay!
Great place, easy check in and responsive host
Great hosts and great cause, but the building is under construction and noise level is very high throughout the day. The owners need to create some sort of sound barrier with the walls and ceiling. Biggest complaint is noise.
Centrally located and convenient! This is a great spot if you want to stay in the city at a decent price and explore all day. The beds were super comfortable and the hosts were incredibly quick to respond to a maintenance issue with the washer and wifi. Just know that the showers do leak into the hallway but it’s really not a big deal as they had ample towels.
We had a great stay. Beds were very comfortable and place was clean. Walking distance to Quincy and North and south station which we used to travel to Fenway and Gillette. Would definitely stay again!
Can not beat the location! Less than 10 giant steps from the Freedom Trail, Healing Homes is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore downtown Boston. Bedrooms are perfectly appointed and we especially appreciated the A/C in the unseasonably hot temperatures. Check in and check out were very easy. Highly recommend!
Very clean and comfortable space. Lots of room. Building is being remodled and developed, so there is some construction clutter in the main lobby, but that does not take away from the appeal of the apartment itself. Would go there again.
Great apartment for a small group !
Great location and Host. Highly recommend
The apartment was wonderful. It was super clean and well equipped and the location was amazing. We were 4 senior women and were able to walk everywhere over our 4 day stay. The host’s communication was excellent and he resolved a minor issue almost immediately. The lobby was under construction as advertised but it was not an issue for us. We used the rear entrance which was easily accessed. We all agreed we would definitely stay here again.
The localization is excellent, we are able to walk all the main spots! Four bedrooms was amazing for my family!
Pricey but nice airbnb, for a great location and within walking distance of a lot of great sites in the city. The two showers leak water after you bathe and the walls are thin , however, a group of 8 was very comfortable and overall had a great stay.
The apartment was pretty hood for a big group, the spaces was well distributed and the location was 10/10. It was near all the important spots of the city/ freedom trail. The host (Brian) was super responsive and help us out a lot, his help was super appreciated. The building is under construction on the lobby but not that this would not bother you if you stay in the upper apartment as we did. If you are visiting Boston is definitely a god choice.
The inside is clean and simple. The outside of the building is a little bit rough and the first floor of the building is entirely being renovated as of this review date.
Pros: Fantastic location, can’t stress that enough. Very walkable. Spacious apartment. Decently comfortable bedding. Felt safe. Decently well apportioned kitchen. Very responsive host. Washer/Dryer in unit. Cons: Building under construction. Elevator made loud whistling noise that disrupted sleep because walls are thin. Odd check-in and out times. Bathroom closest to kitchen leaks water into hallway. Some furniture in poor shape.
The property is quite nice and the location is excellent. The price, I thought, was extremely high. I suppose the location is the reason for that. I was also a bit taken aback at the check in and out times. Check in at 5pm is a bit late although we were allowed to drop our bags off earlier. Check out at 10 am is a bit early. Considering the rental cost, I would have expected the standard check in after 3 and out by 11 or noon.
There were 5 of us...Parents and three kids in their twenties so 4 bedrooms worked out perfectly. Beds were comfortable and the entire space was very clean. Location was great and central to many things Instructions were very clear and hosts very responsive. As mentioned by others, lobby is under construction but there wasn't any noise from it and easy to navigate through it so didn't bother us at all. A little noisy from the above apartment with their young children in the morning, but nothing significant. Great value for what we paid and would definitely stay there again.
Renovation downstairs was dusty, but the apartment was clean and comfortable. It is in the city so you can expect to pass a homeless person. Be kind to them.😊
I will never use AirBnB again. This was falsely misrepresented and a scam
Highly Recommended!
Fantastic location, very clean and spacious apartment. One thing to note is that both showers tend to leak water out into the hallway - something to monitor as over time this may warp the doors / flooring.
The apartment is very comfortable to accommodate a medium sized group. Beds are very comfortable. Living area is a little small if more than 3-4 people being accommodated. Showers are still leaking water around the glass door opening as per prior reviews. Can hear neighbors in other units outside the door and above the unit - walls a little thin. Hosts were extremely responsive and provided extra towels, and fixed light bulbs that were not working. Thanks for a great stay!!
Perfect for what we needed!
Bottom floor is under major construction and looks like you are walking into a scene from hostile, other than that and check in/out times being late and early place worked great for us.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. The condo was beautiful and perfect for six of us, two couples and two children. Mass transit options were steps away and the airport was close. We hope to stay here again another day.
This home was very clean and homey. Great location for walking and quick Uber rides to TD garden and Fenway. Owner was very responsive and helpful when our reserved parking was unavailable once we arrived to avoid complications. Would recommend and rent again!
The apartment was really large and was in the middle of a perfect area. Was only a few minutes walk from our WeWork. The only thing I didn't love was the fact that the lobby was under constuction and cables and rugs all over the place. I fell pretty hard walking to the elevator. The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful but walking into a construciton sight at night and finding the apartment door wide open was a bit unnerving on night 1.
Great location and very walkable to many Boston sights. The Airbnb is run by a corporation so checking in early or a late checkout is not flexible and costs more money. Also, several things required maintenance like shower leaks, bathroom door off the hinges, furniture very uncomfortable. I messaged healing homes and they said they were sending someone to look at it but nobody showed up.
Very cool apartment. Excellent location. with easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Cozy, comfortable sleep.
The apartment was great! Was in an amazing location and was super comfortable and roomy for the 6 of us on our trip. Right next to the train station and the park. Absolutely great stay!!
Beautiful place very clean and great location
Apartment was as described, extremely clean and location was excellent. I stayed for work Monday-Friday and didn't have any issues with noise. Yes, you can hear the other apartments but no more than you would expect. Would recommend.
Great location, clean apartment , very reasonable price for 4 bedrooms and 2 baths apartment in the heart of Boston! Still lots of construction and both elevator doesn’t work at night 9:30 pm .. keep in mind it’s is in the downtown of Boston .. the apartment above us was very noisy and load until 330 am . Overall it is worth it for the price, location and space . Thank you for having us ..
Fantastic location. Walkable to most destinations and right next to the T. Good amount of space for our party of 6. Appreciated that it was pet friendly. Note that there is a lot of construction in the building which randomly disrupted the elevators. They also start work at 7am and it is LOUD. Ear plugs are highly recommended as the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors and everything in the halls.
Great location and it slept our group of 8 comfortably. However, there were issues with the showers leaking water onto the floor, there is significant construction going on in the building (which starts at 7am sharp!) and the elevator makes a rather loud whistling noise which we could easily hear in the unit. The owners were very responsive before and during our stay.
Easy, to access. The building is currently under contruction but that didn't cause any issues.
Very spacious and clean, nice apartment! The only issues we had were out of the hosts control, like construction and noise. Due to the construction outside we could not pull up to the back to park or unload our luggage. Also, we were awoken by jackhammers at 7 am the next morning, and the supply or maintenance room is right next door, and the workers stood out in the hallway speaking loudly for what seemed like hours. I do think once construction is complete it will help a lot. The hosts were very good at getting back to me if I had any questions, and the location and walkability were great.
The property was in the perfect location for walking around and seeing the history. The property was very clean but one of the bathrooms leaked from the shower into the hallway (could have been user error LOL) Since this is a 4 bedroom - there is definitely NOT enough seating. Otherwise we were very happy with this property.
Brian & Heather’s place was perfect for our family of four. It was spacious and within walking distance to restaurants and historical sites. We loved our time and would stay again. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay, Boston is such a walkable city!
The apartment was perfect for our trip to stay together while still having privacy. The location was fantastic with so many great places within walking distance. I would definitely recommend staying here while in Boston!
Loved being close to Boston Common. Lots of space and was the perfect place for our family of 6. Washing machine and dryer so handy
great location, a clean apartment. Fast communication through chat, but when we had issues checking in, it was stressful not being able to call. Amazing location, but no parking. clean apartment. the main issue was that you could hear everything that going on outside the door (elevator, people talking and partying), and from the floor above, it was very noisy even way after midnight. the sofa was out of shape and the bed headboards in two of the beds were not connected to the bed and were made out of metal and made a horrible sound every time you moved. they were nice enough to let us check out a hour later.
Wonderful stay and a fantastic location.
Beautiful design, central location, very clean and easy access
Unbeatable location! Perfect for our group of couples. Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Nothing else we could have wanted!
The rental was beautiful and in a good location. Parking was a bit of a concern, but we were able to find a spot overnight. The only negative is that you are told in the listing that you would get your cleaning deposit back. We left the home very clean and did everything on the check out list but it has been two weeks and still no deposit back and no communication as to whether I may receive it. Very frustrating. Won’t go back because of this.
The place was clean, the check-in and check-out was simple, and they had towels aplenty, along with lots of stuff in the kitchen. It would have been nice to have some coffee or tea for us to get started, and hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and/or clothes. The building looked like it was still under construction when we were there, but it did not affect the stay much, other than entering and exiting the premises feeling a bit odd.
This was the perfect place for a girls trip! This unit was worth every penny. The location was perfect for sightseeing and catching the train. Directly across from Boston Common and just a short walk to the freedom trail, historical sights, taverns and restaurants. The unit was very clean. The rooms are perfect size with enough space for luggage and closets for hanging. Bathrooms are large great for girls getting ready. Could use one more comfortable seat in the living space. And as other reviews stated walls are thin but the noise was just the occasional person arriving in the hallway outside. Sleeping was uninterrupted and no noisy city sounds coming from the streets bc it’s not directly facing a busy road. Overall a fantastic place and will definitely book again if in Boston.
Perfect place near T and many attractions (between 15 minutes walking). Place is excellent, clean and Brian / Hesther were flexible and easy to reach. Ex: toast was broken and in less than an hour they replaced it for a new one. Definitely if I come back, I would like to stay there.
Definitely recommend this Airbnb. So many great amenities. You can walk to everything in the city of Boston. There’s so much to do and we had such great family memories. I will be keeping their information for future stays. Great communication and the place was immaculate. Thank you so much!
This apartment is in a great location with easy access to the T & short walk to Boston Commons. Check- in was easy, host responded quickly to questions and the apt was clean & had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Super convenient location if you plan to take public transportation. The street and city noise weren’t a problem for us since it’s to be expected in this busy location. Overall works well for a family or a group.
Great location as a tourist, easy access to all parts of the city.
Great location and set up for multiple people. Booked it for a work trip with co-workers and was a quick 8 minute walk to downtown Boston. Was MUCH cheaper than booking 4 hotel rooms downtown. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Location was clean and instructions were clear. Not a great view, but great location and we weren't there for a view. Would suggest this to anyone I know!
Not a well equipped kitchen, but property manager did rush over ice cube trays and glasses. I left coffee and sugar for next person. A 5 pm checkin and nothing to get you started. If really rented by owner, there are usually some basics. If you are not used to apartment living, bring ear plugs.
We loved the place. Only had minor issues and all issues were addressed. Being in Boston over the 4th of July was pretty awesome and this location made getting around that much better. We had a wonderful family vacation and a lot of the reason was this apartment
This location to see all of Boston is amazing. We were so happy to realize we were so close to so much history. The apartment was large enough for our selves , our son and his wife and grandchildren. Thank you for the stay.
I opted for this AirBnB (vs a hotel) for a business meeting/conference: After flying my colleagues into town from around the world we met for the first time. we were able to bond much better than if we had stayed in a hotel. We each had our own room and a common room and a kitchen. It felt like a business version of the show “Friends”. There were 3 bathrooms that allowed for plenty of privacy and availability. Brian and Heather were the most responsive hosts I have ever had. They responded within 10-15 minutes(at most) of every message I sent. For a group this is a much better option than hotels. I would stay here again. Thank you for a great Boston experience.
The accommodation itself was absolutely delightful. The apartment was immaculate, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated. It had all the amenities one could possibly need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. Additionally, the location was fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and various attractions in Boston.
A good living experience but a bit expensive due to the public holiday period.
Amazing location for sure and Heather was super helpful…but lots of issues with the place that needs to be addressed -Super loud! Walls are paper thin and you will be woken up early. The specific room of 406 is near a maintenance closet so every morning the cleaning crew came and you hear everything they are doing and saying it was super loud. -One of the bathroom sinks doesn’t drain well -One if the showers leaks into the hallway and room -Dryer overheated -Wi-Fi was really bad unusable
Lovely home! Very comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay. It is perfectly located to visit all of Boston. It was very comfortable and felt like home. Preferred using the Winter Street entrance. We really appreciated the availability of early check in.
So happy we found this place! Perfect for our group of 7. Great location near many walkable sights as well as close to the T. Clean space, very comfortable beds, quiet dead-end street, like a hidden gem!! Highly recommend!
Amazing location in the heart of historic Boston. Minutes from the subway. Great place to stay for the Boston Marathon!
Very good location in the heart of theater district. Walking distance to many attractions and great restaurants. The apartment was one the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in (and we’re really picky with cleanliness!). Host was ultra-responsive, always answering any inquiries in literally seconds. Great option for anyone who wants to stay in the center of Boston.
The place was perfect for us, five adults. The location was great, felt like we could walk anywhere. Clean and practical apartment, the only negative thing we can say is that the walls are pretty thin, so we could hear our neighbours upstairs and next door too well. We would stay there again. Thanks!
This is a great spot in Boston right on the park. Walk to everything. Clean space and nice bedrooms. I would stay here again!
This was a wonderful place to stay. It was my fiancés 30th so we had the whole family out to visit. It was a wonderful location && a wonderful stay.
Thank you, Brian and Heather! We had a wonderful time- the location of the loft was perfect and having a parking spot in front of the building couldn't have been more convenient. Your place is exactly as it was described- comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and common space. Both Brian and Heather were quick to respond to any questions. Again, thank you for making our weekend a special one!
Our stay was terrific. The property is clean and conveniently located as stated. It's a bit noisy but to be expected in an apartment situation. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. We would surely stay here again.
This condo is in a very convenient location, less than a block from Boston Common and a T station (with the green and red lines). Based on the ease of getting around town, it’s hard to imagine a better location. The condo is spacious and the beds are comfortable, though a little squeaky. The showers are big, though one of them leaks because it’s missing a piece across the bottom of the door. The building is on a dead end street with vacant buildings that make the street appealing to sketchy people who loiter in the doorways. The listing indicates there is a security guard on site, but we did not see a security guard at all while we were there. The building is an old warehouse, so the space is cool, but the ceilings are thin. The upstairs neighbors were quite loud at night; however, there is very little street noise that makes it’s way in. Overall, I would rent here again because of the location and space, but I would not bring kids because of the area at night.
Great location right near the T-line and close to downtown and many tourist spots. Apartment is spacious and was ideal for our family of 4 stay. Impeccable communication from the hosts.
A great location right in downtown Boston. There was clear communication and instructions ahead of our arrival. Once we arrived the space was clean and there was plenty of room for our 8 guests.
Thank you very much, we enjoyed our stay very much!
Extremely happy with our stay. Very clean place and even exceeded my expectations with how spacious it is. The apartment is steps away from the train and Boston Common with so many great restaurants and cafes nearby. I’d definitely consider staying here again if/when I return to Boston.
Place was nice and clean. Great area to be with lots to do. The T was located right outside making it easy to get anywhere in the city.
It is a rare find! Brick walls, sound proofed. Except t condition and I loved the lay out
If you are looking for a place to stay in the perfect area. You found it! Everything was great and super easy. Communication was awesome and even though we flew in earlier then expected we were accommodated quickly and professionally! 10/10 would recommend
Great place near the center of Historic Boston
Everything was great. Only criticism would be that the beds were quite a bit squeaky.
Fantastic location and the hosts are super responsive to communicate with you. Shower leaks into the hallway and walls are quite thin so you hear some noise but other than that, no issues.
Amazing place for our family vacation, i definitively would strait again and recommend! Thanks a lot
Clean space, easy to find, great location! Everything was great. Other than the walls being slightly less sound proof, everything else was great.
Location was perfect to walk to restaurants and bars. Super cute area.
My buddies and I stayed at Brian & Heathers for the night and it was just as expected - in the heart of Boston near all the action & very walkable. they were flexible in letting us drop off luggage before our check in at 5 and they made sure the place was spotless before our arrival.
Great place to stay and helpful hosts!
This place was exactly as expected. Great location, comfortable bedrooms and living room, basic but efficient kitchen. My family enjoyed our stay for sure, and the hosts were easy to work with.
Clean and spacious place. Beds were pretty uncomfortable and squeaky and location was very noisy. One of the bathroom showers leaked into the hallway. We notified owners but didn’t hear back. Despite all of this, it is a very nice place overall.
Amazing location and really spacious property. We loved our stay!
Super responsive hosts and a great place to stay!
The apartment was in a great location! It is right on the freedom trail! It was clean and exactly as pictured. I would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Clean and handy location in the heart of Boston's historic tourism area. Recent remodel is easy to use and everything you need.
Very roomy in an excellent location. Brian and Heather were easy to communicate with and my group had a fantastic time.
Great location right across from the park. Easy access to lots of shopping and restaurants. We liked the tall ceilings and brick wall accents. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed hanging out in the open kitchen/living room area. Thank you!
Great location. Easy check In/out process. Managers were very responsive.
Very nice and a great location
Convenient location. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Communication with the hosts was excellent. This is an excellent option for a group/family stay.
The location was amazing and super convenient to walking to most places in the city! The place was exactly as described in the listing and perfectly fit 4 adult couples. Heather and Brian were amazing at communicating and assisted with an early check in.
Great space and great location
Excellent location- communication was fantastic- response within minutes. We will be back!
Very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Great location within walking distance to everything downtown. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Hosts offer Netflix.
Good location. Thankfully moved check in time up which was appreciated.
Excellent all around. If you want a centrally located, pristine, high class stay, this is it. The unit had everything we needed, was clean, good appliances, comfortable beds, large showers.. I could go on. Bottom line, if you’re looking for the convenience of great location plus perfect accommodations, you’ve found it. If you’re attending a show at the Orpheum you literally can’t get any closer to the front doors of the venue! Will definitely be looking this up again on my next trip to Beantown.
Brian and Heather’s place is in a great location — it’s about a ten minute walk to Faneuil Hall and a 30 minute walk to the harbor, but an easy drive to anywhere in Boston. The building is a little noisy, but the apartment was clean and great for a fun weekend. I recommend parking in the High Street garage — it only cost us $33 to park for the weekend. I also recommend using Spothero for parking (to find the best and least expensive) as well.
Awesome location, great place for a group stay and super communicative hosts!
Excellent location and exceptionally clean space. Very comfy beds and had a good nights sleep. Would highly recommend to anyone! Heather was also accommodating of our extended check out time. Lovely space !!!!
Me and my family stayed here for 6 nights. It is a very big apartment, with very comfortable beds and lots of storage space. The check in was easy and flexible. I loved the decoration and everything was very clean. The location is just perfect. The kitchen and bathrooms are well supplied. The hosts answered very fast to all of my messages and solves every issue I had. Would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it 100%. Thank you Brian and Heather!
Great place This is a beautiful place in a convenient location nice walk to many places. There is 4 rooms all wonderful and clean. We are all enjoy with this place. We definitely recommend to stay.
Our family had a wonderful time at Brian and Heather’s. You absolutely can’t beat the location- so close to Boston Common and great restaurants. Highly recommended!
Great location. Very close to the subway. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Building seemed secure and lots of families occupying it during our stay. The street outside has trash occasionally on the sidewalk and the smell of urine. If that’s something you expect, you can easily ignore it for the minute it takes to walk past it and get to the Main road. The apartment is as described. Spacious enough and the kitchen is well stocked. Need small conveniences like liquid soap instead of bar soap in the bathrooms. Also could have a better couch, more seating and sturdier beds. Was very clean, everything worked. Our unit was quiet. Overall a great stay.
Brian and Heather’s place was centrally located and within walking distance to lots of activities, restaurants, cafes and bars. We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable
Great location, clean and nice place. Great communication and they respond immediately. Convenient parking, and doorman at night. There was an issue with the elevator making noise but owner responded to resolve it in the morning. Will love to stay there again.
The location was perfect and the apartment was good although there was an incredibly annoying noise from the elevator outside the front door that happens every few seconds and never stopped. I know it’s an old building so noises should be expected, but if you are a light sleeper make sure and bring earplugs or something to help reduce the noise. Brian and Heather were very responsive and great commutators for sure. If you want to walk around the area for sightseeing, etc. this is a perfect location for you.
Great clean location in the heart of Boston!
Location, location, location! Our family of 5 traveled to Boston and loved staying in this downtown condo! It was walking distance to so many historic sites! We had so much fun and would definitely stay at this condo again!
Great location right in the center of Boston, mere steps from the Common and Freedom Trail! Brian and heather were very easy to talk to and clear in their directions! Would certainly stay here again
Great, clean apartment, located in walking distance to beautiful Boston. Brian & Heather are excellent hosts and quick to respond to my questions. Excellent apartment!!!
Great apartment right in the middle of Boston! - This unit is in a building on a dead-end street. That was great because there wasn't constant or busy foot or vehicle traffic. Be careful if you drive in. I pulled my pickup in the drop off bags not realizing the dead end. Had to have my son stop traffic on Tremont at 4pm so I could back out. - There are two T stations on the block, Park and Downtown crossing. - The unit was large with 4 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. It was perfect for us. - The hosts were quick and helpful to respond to any questions. We had no issue during out stay.
Wonderful location, had a great stay!!
Perfect for our family of five plus grandparents, everyone had their own room and location was super convenient for us. It was Us Open weekend so everything was super expensive but they were still able to get us in for early check-in and late checkout plus the parking option was so convenient. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
The hosts were very helpful and check in was easy. The apartment was spotless and as advertised. It was very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Boston. We would stay again.
Amazing location, so many walkable spots. The T is right around the corner. Easy check in. Great communication, any questions I got a timely response. The unit itself was amazing, everything was clean. Towels & toiletries were in each bathroom, which i completely forgot, so win! Plates, cups, coffee maker all in the kitchen. Totally recommend!
Good walkable location. The showers leak but the hosts were notified and it should be fixed shortly.
Looks exactly like the pictures, a perfect location, and super clean!
Nice stay. Four nice sized rooms for couples. Sitting area large enough for several people.
Location is great, check-in and check-out were seamless and Heather and Brian's communication was on point. Would definitely stay again!
Lots of space and excellent location!
Nice place I will repeat the visit to Boston and reserve this a beautiful apartment 😊👍🏻
Great stay great location!
very good emplacement, clean place, People upstairs are nosy...
Over all were good except the bed rooms and beds size which were small, too small to accommodate 8 persons.
this place is perfect. Brian is nice and the location is so good, and interior is so beautiful
Great host, easy and fast comunication. The apartament is in a good place, you can walk to the most important places. Clean and warm (we arrived in a winter storm).
I stayed at this place with 6 friends, so 7 people in total. There are 4 bedrooms - two with double beds and two with queen beds (I believe it's advertised as 4 queens but I don't think they all are). It's a long narrow apartment and the wifi does not reach to the furthest two bedrooms which was super annoying. The living area had a couch for 3 people and a random assortment of office type chairs - this was strange for a place with space for max 8 people - definitely not enough seating for everyone. The kitchen was missing key things like oil and salt & pepper. In the kitchen and first one or two bedrooms you can hear the noise quite easily from the next apartment over - the walls are thin. The location was great! Walkable distance to the Quincy Markey (5 min), Public Market, Back Bay (15 min), and the Park Street station on the red line (subway) was about 200 meters from the front door. Check in is 5pm and checkout is 10am which I personally think are too late and too early respectively, but we were able to pay $50 USD for later checkout which was appreciated. Brian and Heather replied within the hour during day hours which was awesome and the checkin / checkout instructions were super simple and easy to follow. Overall I'd recommend staying here, but probably not with more than 5 or 6 people.
The location and price of the building are 10/10! Easy access to everything, easy check in and check out. Square footage and amount of bedrooms is a real gem, but a lot of the furniture and finishes are broken or need small repairs. Needs at least one more living room comfy chair and maybe a cabinet of necessities like paper towels and Clorox wipes. Confused as to why the shower leaks into the hallway though. Overall great stay!
This airbnb is in a perfect location for anyone looking visit Boston. We parked our car in a nearby garage using SpotHero, which had a very reasonable rate. The garage did not allow in/out privileges (which was made clear on the website) but at this location you do not need to have a vehicle. There are two T stations within steps of the airbnb, directly on the Red Line. Two members of our group arrived by train and it was easy for them to travel to the apartment without the hassle of driving in downtown Boston. We were able to walk to our choice of restaurants and enjoyed one of the many walking tours of Boston, which I would also recommend. Communication with our hosts was always prompt and excellent. The apartment was well supplied and very clean. We would be happy to return!
House is smack in the middle over revrything, perfect if you're looking to tour Boston. Brian and Heather were super responsive even after hours and quick to fix things when needed. Would definitely stay here again... comfortably accommodated four couples I'm this apartment.. parking is super difficult so definitely look into parking pricing around the area.. you probably won't need the car too much if Boston is your goal
Great space. Steps from restaurants and local things to do.
location, communication and the house were all Amazing. I will 10/10 book here again on my next visit
Awesome stay. The location is great.
All-in-all a good stay in a great location. Pros: Great communication (they respond within minutes of asking a question), easy check-in, good WiFi, good heating/cooling, elevator access, and large apartment. Impressed with the pricing for such a large apartment in the middle of downtown Boston. Cons: The beds aren’t as advertised - there’s no king bed in the apartment. Appears to be a couple queens and a couple fulls. There’s other minor issues - the showers leak water into the hallways, the television is fairly useless (no cable TV and the Google device connected is missing an adapter required to function - but who travels to sit and watch tv anyway), and the walls are incredibly thin between floors and adjacent apartments. Would absolutely recommend if you’re okay with a bit of noise coming from upstairs and don’t require a king bed!
Great location + space. Walking distance to almost everything that's needed. The space looks as comfortable as advertised. A group of 6 including myself were very comfortable in the space during our 4-day stay. Brian + Heather's detailed instructions and response time to our inquiries cannot go without being noted and appreciated. Great value.
On the positive side, the location can’t be beat. Walkable to everything. Decor was modern and nice with a great sofa. Bedding was very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, we paid for early arrival but then ran late. Parking garage nearby was blocked off for a show so we ended up parking a mile away. Parking is expensive so avoid a car if you can. We arrived at 9:30pm to find one pillow missing from one of the beds and on the sofa with a dent in it as if someone had been lying on it. Totally creepy since I was traveling alone with two kids. It felt intrusive and unclean. Owner assured me building was safe. There are locked doors to exterior and unit is on an upper floor. The walls were thin which made it very loud. Lots of party groups in the building. If you’re going away with a group of friends, this would be a great spot. Also both showers leaked and water ran into the hallway. I let the owner know so they could fix it. We ended up leaving early. Overall, not great, just ok.
Heather and Brian were very accommodating. The apartment was clean and in a great location. The beds were comfortable and any communication was answered promptly and efficiently. We would be happy to stay here again
Great location and comfortable beds.
We had a great stay, 8 of us slept comfortably. The place is very clean and in a great location. The building was quiet for the most part and felt very safe and secure. Right in the center of the city near everything you could want and very easy to get an uber too if you’re going somewhere not in walking distance. Would definitely recommend this place for medium size groups looking for multiple bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again!
Location was great. You can walk to everything. Hosts were easy to work with and had great communication.
The location was amazing, the place was beautiful, and it was everything we needed :)
Great experience! The place is very nice and very clean. It was a comfortable stay and a great location.
Great location in the middle of the city along the Freedom Trail. Surrounding areas were easy to walk to and there is also a nearby subway station several blocks away. Hosts were quick to reply and answer questions and receptive to feedback. Would recommend!
Stay away! I got my first red flag when I received a message from the stating that they’ve had recent negative reviews and would like to do anything they can to get a good review. Unfortunately, I can’t do that after my stay there. The day of our arrival, I received a message about a new parking procedure implemented by the city of Boston. This place is right next to the Orpheum and the parking spots that they advertise are not available the days before during and after the shows. I asked a gentleman, supervisor if this was new and he said no it’s been like that for a long time. When we arrived there was food still in the refrigerator, an old Wawa Sizzli and other food items. Next, the shower in the front bathroom leaked whenever you took a shower. The water led out the bathroom and all the way through to kitchen by the refrigerator. I told the owners and they said they would have their maintenance team look at it. After further investigation, I saw the bathroom door seemed to be painted over from previous water damage. So it seemed that this was not the first occurrence. The linens provided, especially the towels are big enough for a toddler to dry off. Finally, upon our departure, I was notified by Airbnb that we were being charged a fee for a broken lamp, that was broken upon our arrival. This place has a lot of promise but it is mismanaged by the owners. When I asked them what the damage charge was for, I didn’t receive a response from them. Completely shady business practice.
Phenomenal location, clean space, and very communicative and considerate hosts. The only downsides were that the place had an unfinished/industrial feel (not enough furniture for 6 guests, office chairs in the living room, minimally equipped bathrooms) and some noise/insulation issues.
We had a lovely stay. The facilities were perfect for us and the location made it easy to attend the event we were in town for. The walls are a bit thin so I recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise a lovely Airbnb
Clean and comfortable. We had a good stay
hosts are organized and responsive
Great location in the middle of downtown and in front of Boston Commons! If you have a group of 4, this is a great choice since everyone will get there own room!
Great location, amazing brick interior.
The location is great. Right now, due to Covid, it's hard to find Airbnbs. And it's even more difficult to find a large apt in Boston that accepts pets. 4 bedrooms is very rare. This place is great if you are a group of young people who want to go out and need a place to crash. Otherwise, this place is expensive and disappointing. This entire building appears to be Airbnb apts/very short term rentals. It's loud, even if people aren't being loud. The furniture was uncomfortable. One of our showers leaked and made a puddle that spread into the hall. The toilet paper holder in the other bathroom was broken. There is no exhaust to the bathrooms besides opening a door. The kitchen sink leaked. I contacted the owners about it within an hour of checking in. They quickly replied and said maintenance would fix it that day. That didn't happen. (They never showed.) We were given a code to the locked closet where they keep extra towels so we could mop up, except that door was completely removed from the closet and there were zero extra towels stocked until the day we left. They promised us the faucet will be replaced but it wouldn't be until we checked out. Given how rotted the formica under the sink was, it is safe to assume this leak has been a problem for a while . Because of the leaky sink, it was difficult for us to use the kitchen to cook meals. The washing detergent provided doesn't dissolve, and no-one had cleaned the receptacle, so I had to remove a fat wad of gummy residue in-order to run a load of laundry. If you look up at the HVAC return, it's apparent the filter hasn't been changed in months; it's caked in dust. Some of the walls have dried spots like someone threw coffee. Some of the ceiling lights need to be replaced. My wife had to fix one of the toilets at 5am (it wouldn't flush). There is nothing in the kitchen that is disposable besides the coffee filters and some generic coffee packs. No salt and pepper, no cooking oil, no aluminum foil. Nothing. There are two barstool height chairs to eat at the island. And that's it for how many people can sit and eat. There was no other table to eat at. (This is a 4 bedroom and our family was not able to eat together). Otherwise there was a small sofa with springs poking through the cushions and 3 mismatched chairs. The TV has no reception or cable. Just wifi. Unless you have a Netflix/Hulu account, you will not be able to watch TV. For what we paid for 4 nights, I expected more.
As advertised, a clean apartment that is central to Downtown Boston. Checking in was easy and quick as was checking out.
Great size for family of 5. located in a weird dead end. When you get out of the dead end, it’s a good location to get anywhere fast. It had security doors which was nice. Very clean and good communication.
Easy place to stay; great location.
Great location and good communication from hosts. However, the walls in the apartment are very thin.
Great apartment in a great location! Loved our stay!
Brian and Heather were responsive communicators and the place was well located and had spacious bedrooms. However, one of the bed frames was broken and while Brian and Heather were responsive in acknowledging the issue and apologizing, they were evidently not able to do more than communicate about it, as we had to endure the broken bed for the duration of our stay, which effectively rendered the place a three bedroom rather than four bedroom place. Also, the beds were smaller than advertised. I believe advertised king was a queen and perhaps queens were doubles.
Perfect for my family of 7! Comfy beds. Full kitchen. Easy to access.
Nice, clean and updated apartment. Read the note about the loitering - but we always felt safe. Great access to T or walking. Well stocked kitchen. Easy checkin and great communications. Quick response to questions.
Awesome location! Safe entry with locked outer doors and keypad on unit. Beds were comfortable and convenient access to both bathrooms from all of the bedrooms. Communications were super fast and positive. Very comfortable stay.
We originally booked a similar unit in the same building through this host. When we arrived late at night, it appeared our linens were not washed. We reached out to Brian and he quickly resolved the issue by upgrading our unit to this one which was clean and accurate to the pictures. Although the common spaces are a little on the small side, the entire apartment was amazing and in a great location near plenty of shopping and dining options. We paid$50/night through our hosts for parking which was right outside of the hotel. There were also fans in each bedroom along with linens and hair dryers provided. Despite a little bump in the road, our stay was great and Brian and his team did a great job to accommodate our stay.
This was such a great place to stay! The location was amazing and the place was beautiful! I recommend this to ANYONE staying in Boston!
Location truly cannot be beat. The hosts were very responsive and their business model is inspiring. My group was charged multiple fees ($1100 in total) for violating quiet hours; they claim their security team was activated twice but we did not even see the building security guard on duty most nights, let alone knocking at our door. We attempted to negotiate the fees - but got stonewalled and thus, we paid the fees so that we would be allowed to finish out the reservation. Pay careful attention to the house rules. The building walls are also very thin so noise travels easily across units.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
