unit is on the 3rd floor and is completely accessible by a self-check-in, meaning you will be able to minimize exposure. On-site security and 2 elevators is a big plus!
This beautiful apartment has exposed brick and an industrial feel, but also the warmth and comfiness of an inviting home. What makes this space unique is it's history. The building hallways all show historic photos of the neighborhood dating back to the 1800s! Just steps from the Boston Common, this building has had many tenants over the decades, from retail shops to manufacturing companies!
The building has an ADA compliant entrance, two elevators, two staircases, plenty of storage for trash, and even an Amazon Locker where you can send packages. (at the time of writing this description we are currently setting up the locker, please confirm if it is operational when you book!)
Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed, from the linens pillows and mattress to storage and lighting. Most bedrooms face inwards into a lightwell, or outwards into a city street, so you may not have "Amazing" views of a city skyline, but you will likely have a nice dark night sleep.
Each apartment is equipped with a smart lock and the building has an intercom system which allows a full, self-check-in experience.
The building is also monitored live by a third party security firm, 24/7 and we have an on-site security guard, nightly, from 8pm-2pm for your safety.
You'll have the entire apartment as if it was your own home.
We will give our guests the privacy they require with the support they need. We have coverage for virtual help from 7am-11pm and can help with any guest needs from 11am-7pm.
Just steps from the Boston Common, this neighborhood has had many personalities over the decades! Since the early 1900s, the area along Washington and Tremont Streets, roughly from School Street to Beach Street, has also been referred to as the Ladder District. Now it is most commonly named Downtown Crossing as most of the city's Subway's or (T-lines) intersect at Park Street station. The MBTA's Downtown Crossing subway station directly serves Downtown Crossing. The State Street and Park Street stations are within close walking distance. Silver Line service is also available. You can get literally anywhere in the city for a few dollars and a Tpass.
The apartment building is located on a dead end street which means it's super quiet for automobile traffic, but still has the lively city feel as foot traffic is sure to be noticeable any time of day, even in the winter. The Boston Common is only a few hundred feet from the entrance to the building.
Important to note is that lately there has been a gathering of homeless people during the day and night, right outside the 7/11 around the corner. The high foot-traffic provides them opportunities to pan-handle. Please use your caution, and common sense. We've never had an issue, but for folks visiting from towns and rural settings may find this surprising, even concerning.
We've taken measures to make sure our guests are very safe and comfortable during their stays. The building is monitored 24/7 live by a third party security firm. The Boston Improvement Department does nightly walks of the property and nearby streets. We also have an on-site security guard, nightly from 8pm-2am for your safety.
Shipping up to Boston? We put together a great guide filled with information for getting around the city and beyond!
Downtown Boston is easy to navigate. It’s compact, walkable, has an abundance of taxis, yes they still exist! And Uber's are always a tap away. What makes Boston so accessible is it's public transportation system. Driving downtown can be a challenge with its dated road layout and limited parking options but, it’s the most convenient option for travel outside of Boston Proper.
The MBTA is Boston’s public transportation system, and it’s a great way to get around quickly and cheaply. The “T” refers to the subway, which runs throughout Boston, into Cambridge, and into nearby suburbs, providing access to all the attractions located in Boston. Just look for the big "T" in a circle to find a stop.
You can also take buses to get all over the city, and the Commuter Rail is an easy way to get to points outside of Boston. You can buy paper “Charlie Tickets” for single or multiple subway rides at vending machines located in most stations. When your ticket runs low, visit a fare vending machine to add value. A single basic fare for the T is $2.75 with a Charlie Ticket, although if you pick up a Charlie Card (a plastic card like a credit card), the fare is lower at $2.25 for one way. You can load the Charlie Card with an amount of your choosing, so it's smart way to explore the city. They're available at almost every T stop, and are free to get. Once on board, hang on! Being one of the oldest public transportation systems in the country, the T is not always the smoothest ride.
Parking. or "Paahking" is hard to find, expensive (by most tourists accounts) and is best done in lots or garages for peace of mind. Please check out a website called "Spot Hero" to find the most updated options and prices!
In this section we want to stress that in all City apartments, in all neighborhoods, there is the possibility of noise at night. Many times it is completely out of our control. We can provide noise machines and earplugs, but we will not refund any stays that are shortened or cancelled because of noise from construction, traffic, neighbors, or pedestrian noise. Boston is a major American Metropolis, it comes with its beauty and it's noise. This will be noted in our house rules, and when bookings are confirmed, it is a contract that you, the guest, is agreeing to.

What a great place! Located right in the heart of Boston near the Freedom Trail. Super clean and quiet. Parking right in front of the apartment. We struck gold with this booking and will book again next time in Boston.
The place was in a great location, close to everything. Our only complaint would be parking otherwise we were extremely happy. Would definitely return.
Healing Homes are incredibly responsive, helpful hosts. They are patient with questions and incredibly flexible. It’s a pleasure working with them — and the apartment is perfectly clean, comfortable and well situated.
Great place in a very walkable area. Hosts are responsive and the unit was in great condition.
A very clean private apartment in the middle of everything. Lovely stay.
beautiful space & very comfortable! it was Christmas time though and some holiday touches would have been nice also soaps & shampoos that were listed in amenities were not there. but this didn't change the great time we had and we were close to everything we wanted to do while in the city ! I'd definitely book again ! their prompt responses and added hour on the end of the trip made up for the small hiccups in the beginning. oh and watch for shows at the theater next door as this did impact unloading our car on arrival ! Massachusetts resident & well be back for sure !
Great location with all the necessities. Would book again!
Was only there for one night to see a show at The Wilbur. Was perfect for 4 adults, and walking distance to Boston Commons.
Excellent location for hitting the Freedom Trail and the T. Many highly rated restaurants within walking distance. Very clean. Wonderful for kids to have own rooms and the two bathrooms were a must for our teenagers. As is true of many big cities, it is very loud. I suggest bringing ear plugs for everyone.
Great place to stay!
Perfect location and great communication with the hosts.
We had an excellent stay, perfect for a girls trip! Excellent location, walking distance to everything we needed, and a short uber to anywhere else. We didn’t mind the noise of the city, bring a little sound machine if it bothers you :) The only bummer was the check in/check out times were a lot more extreme than I originally planned. I totally get wanting to make sure the unit is clean before and after guests but a check in time of 5pm pretty much forces you to pay for early check in (3pm). We used store me/Stasher which is right around the corner to store our bags while we waited. I recommend doing that but try to pay in person instead of online - for some reason it was cheaper. Other than that we had zero complaints! All of our questions were answered by healing homes super quick, the unit was gorgeous, and the building itself felt really safe.
Overall excellent service and great location! I’d be back !
Great location. A good size for a party of 6 adults. Apartment was pretty clean, but didn't wow us compared to the pictures. The noise level from this apartment (3rd floor), you can hear everything and everyone within the building and outside the building. Pretty noisy. We requested to use the parking for 1 hour to get ready for dinner, but they requested $60 (overnight cost). It would have been nice to accommodate since the 2 of the 3 parking spaces were available. Would I come back to this Airbnb? Unlikely. Would I recommend this Airbnb/Healing Homes? Very unlikely.
An excellent fit for our short trip to Boston for work.
Great place, well located.
Lovely apartment and so rare to find an affordable 3 bedroom, 2 bath flat in downtown Boston. We will be back.
This is a third floor unit in an old commercial building converted to residential. While it has been recently remodeled, it has the funk of an old building. The building entrance is next to a busy concert venue, each night we were there we had to navigate through tour busses to get to the front door. The location is great for touring Boston historic sites, the Boston Common and Public Gardens, Back Bay, etc. Easy access to the Green and Red T Lines. The biggest issue we had with the location is noise. The windows are thin and all of the city sounds come in easily off the downtown streets. One night emergency construction was being done directly below the unit until 2 am, making sleep difficult. Another night the water was shut off due to a water line break until 7:30 pm. The front bedroom had the biggest issue, the other two bedrooms were quieter.
Great Location. Walking distance to Freedom Trail which we loved doing.
This rental was in an excellent location however there was a lot of construction and you could hear and feel the subway beneath you. The host had the unit in pristine condition when we arrived and their communication was excellent. You were only steps away from the freedom Trail, and Boston common Park. I would highly recommend a stay in this place
If you’re looking for a spot in the middle of it all, this is a great option. Boston Commons is across the street, with plenty of local restaurants and sites.
An immaculate and stylish apartment located in a lively part of town. Fantastic for our business trip as the apartment was just a short walk from our location. Super helpful staff online to answer queries and to offer help.
Great apartment in a great location, we walked everywhere, 100% recommend the Beanbar and pop-up bar on the park literality round the corner
Great stay, super convenient location and everything was clean and lovely during our stay.
Nice place to stay at. Right in the city centre and lovely decorated. We loved it !
Really conveniently situated and was a perfect spot for our girls trip! We had everything we needed, and beds were super comfy
Overall, the place was fine; I don't know that I'd stay there again, and it's more about the business model and inflexibility than the unit. It feels like a group of lawyers bought a building and are making an Airbnb Super Unit out of the entire structure. I was coming to town for a concert, and sadly, the event was canceled a month before the event. I attempted to cancel the reservation but they have very skillfully crafted their policy to extract each and every dime out of their guests. That, in addition to the $ 50.00 fee to check-in before 5:00 pm made it less than a positive experience.
Great location !! Very confident place !!
Very beautiful stay in the middle of Boston, convenient location, accessible transportation, walking distance with in everything. I just wish they made parking clearer, our car ended up getting towed.
Great location and very clean place. Would stay here again.
Perfect location , easy accessible for Ubers, well furnished, ….would definitely stay there again
Beautiful place. Easy to find and great location!
Perfect for 6 college grinds to have a weekend away in Boston. The location was helpful as it is within walking distance of North End, shopping, Seaport, Haymarket/Fanuiel Hall and historical neighborhoods. Highly recommend for family or friends alike.
Great location with several historical sites along the freedom trail nearby. The space was as pictured, except that the interior has 4-5 steps down into the apartment space. Additionally the street entrance was inaccessible due to construction and the wheelchair accessible entrance was on the opposite side of the building along a pedestrian pathway, which made navigating the area difficult for one of our disabled guests. Overall, great spot for able-bodied folks, but tricky if any guests use a wheelchair or have difficulty with steps.
This was a great stay. The hosts were responsive and provided clear instructions. The apartment was perfect for our extended family and had space for everyone. The location was ideal for walking with the Common and a pedestrian only area nearby. Like others have mentioned the building is undergoing renovations so the front hall /lobby is under construction. We were prepared for that based on reviews so no surprises. The living room / kitchen was particularly nice for sitting and talking. Thanks HH team for a lovely stay!
Close to everything. Steps from Boston Commons and the freedom trail. Walking distance to Prudential Center and the lovely shops and dining opportunities on Newbury! Will stay here again.
Great location and very responsive hosts! It is noisy but the hosts are very upfront about that. Great for a family.
Thank you for a wonder Stay!
We were very pleased with everything about our stay! Thank you!
Couldn’t be more happy with this location. Just steps from Boston Common and all that this vibrant part of the city has to offer. The unit itself was great. Plenty of room and a really nice aesthetic. The place had some character—gently sloping floors and kept throwing breakers—but given the age of the building, hardly a surprise. We would heartily recommend to any family heading to Boston.

The location was central, right on the park, the actual inside of the apartment was clean and as advertised, communication smooth But The two apt entrances and hallways were filthy. Dirt, discarded food, construction debris, stained carpeting, dirty toothbrush on the ground. Felt gross, not the way to enter your $700 night stay! Microwave was broken. Showed a disrespect to renters. Also, the Walls are paper thin so we heard everything from apt above from 2-4am after they came home!
The best host so far!
This location is in downtown Boston and we were able to walk or take the T to everything we wanted to do. There was some outside noise and homeless people on the streets, but was expected being in the city and did not bother us. The lobby was being renovated, so some dust, etc, but that did not affect the condo as it was super clean and was spacious with 3 bedrooms (and 2 full bathrooms) for our family of 6. Would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Boston!
The location to where we needed to go was perfect. The floors were dirty and garbage and dirty towels left behind. On the listing it said there was free street parking which was false. The place was nice overall to stay. It didn’t feel safe walking around outside the alley was filled with drunk ppl.
My colleagues and I had a great time walking all over Boston and attending a conference at Boston University! Cheers is right around the corner and the Freedom Trail starts across the street!
Great place to stay, a little construction around, but nothing too noisy. Location is great, 2 minute walk to subway and great restaurants all around... Thank you for everything 👍🏼👍🏼
Good location across street from the Common. Construction in lobby, dust, etc but did not hear noise from it. Middle bedroom was tiny and bed low to ground, no window to outside but only window was above door facing the kitchen. Problem was light from kitchen was visible. Apartment had basic amenities. One shower had no place to lay the soap so had to put it on floor outside shower. Slight rumble/vibration from subway but not a problem. Apartment was clean, contact response was quick and helpful. We would stay there again.
The apartments themselves are clean and comfortable, though no frills at all. The building is currently under construction which is mildly inconvenient. Use the entrance on Winter St, way way better than the sketchy front door in the alley
Very responsive and friendly host. Apartment is in the heart of Boston with lots to do. Walkable area. The place was clean and tidy. It does get a little noisy at night so if you would like some quiet this is not the place for you. But highly recommend otherwise. Thank you for a great stay! Everything was perfect.
This is a lovely space, and very convenient for getting around Boston. It is only a couple of blocks from the subway (red and green lines), walkable to many places along the Freedom Trail, and steps away from both Starbucks and Dunkin (a plus for us!). This was the perfect spot for our family's trip to Boston.
Other than the construction, everything is perfect. The noise is way too bad. The location is perfect, to every place is a walking distance.
Clean appartment and well situated. Lack of chair for everyone if you want to eat there. 2 big bathroom. Bed not very confortable , street a bit noisy and appartement above very noisy. You can hear the host talking
Everything was fantastic. Great location. Clean. Easy to get ahold of. Exactly what we needed for a quick business trip. Cons - there was construction as mentioned in the listing. Also, there seems to be a homeless situation nearby which didn’t bother us, but could be concerning for some. Overall, highly recommended!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is absolutely perfect as it is steps away from Boston Common and the Park Street T system station. The apartment was as advertised and we had no problems with it. The only issue that I had was the lobby of the building is in the process of being renovated. That really wasn't a big deal, just a minor annoyance. We would definitely stay there again.
Great location, very responsive host, I would go back there again.
Great apartment in a good location right by the park. Perfect for our group of 6. Definitely recommend.
I had a pleasant stay at this beautiful and modern apartment. However, it would have been helpful if the host had informed us about the ongoing constructions in the building, which posed safety concerns and restricted access. Additionally, it was disappointing to find out upon arrival that neither of the elevators were functioning, a detail that wasn’t mentioned in the instructions. The lack of available parking spaces was also unexpected, and despite inquiring about potential discounts for nearby parking facilities, none were offered. Furthermore, there was an issue with one of the bathroom sinks not working properly. Nevertheless, the apartment itself was impeccably clean and aesthetically pleasing. I must commend the host for their prompt and clear communication, which was greatly appreciated
Great location, unfortunately, construction in the building right now so it was quite noisy the only other thing I would say is that their showers do not get hot- the knobs aren’t installed to allow them to- kitchen sink gets hot so hopefully this is something they can fix.
Easy check in - very communicative hosts, allowed us to do an early check in
Perfect location, quick walk to groceries, Starbucks, and Chinatown. The place was beautiful and cozy. My only recommendation would be to ask for highest floor to avoid drunk people partying and keeping you up all night above you. Very happy with our stay!
Fantastic location in the heart of Boston, lots of shops and cafes steps away. Right next to the Park St. T stop made it easy to get around. Do note that it is on a busy street, so expect some noise and construction (host offered earplugs and/or white noise machine!)
We reserved four different units in the building for a big family reunion, and everything worked out really well. Great location in the center of downtown, steps to Boston Common, the Freedom Trail, and Quincy Market. Short walk to multiple different T lines and South Station for Amtrak. Lots of shopping within a couple hundred feet, including a really nice grocery store. The units were lovely, well-designed and had everything we needed. Despite some of the reviews I read about noise from the street or other units, that wasn’t an issue for us at all—very quiet, especially considering the location right in the middle of downtown. I definitely would recommend these apartments to anyone who wants to be in downtown Boston and be able to walk or take the train to all the sites!
Lovely place in a great location. Very helpful and responsive host!
The apartment was nice, just a lot of construction from renovations. Very clean and spacious.
Great location and amazing host. They responded right away and were very flexible with us. The apartment was huge and very nicely decorated. The building is right off a dead end and a very noisy street. However; the host offered us a white noise machine. Loved everything about it, except the noise at night…only reason why I wouldn’t book again. Which is a shame because the host and the actual apartment are awesome. .
apartment is great large and well set up. location is central but with that comes concerns of many homeless people on door step and train noise rumbles through the building. homeless situation in this part of town is sad, and with many with clear mental health issues it is a concern especially of an evening. hosts great and responsive. overall worked well for what we needed.
We enjoyed the stay very much. It was easy walking distance to all locations. The only issue was the street noise. Healing Houses issues ear plugs which helped. The apartment was very clean. There was extensive construction in the entrance lobby. Thank you
Great place!! Amazing hosts. Right across the street from Boston Commons and literally right next to the orange and red T. Down the block from green and orange and .2 miles from the blue line. Easy access to great shops, grocery, and food! Place is in a currently renovating building- but is clean and well put together. This was an amazing place for a celebration weekend.
Great apartment with an incredible location. Everything fun to do is within walking distance. The lobby is under construction but that didn't bother us - can't wait to see the finished product. The front door is on a dead end - made loading and unloading a breeze in the busiest part of the city. Such a fun weekend - we would definitely rent this apartment again!
Great place and great hosts!
The loft was great and super clean. There is quite some noise from the windows facing Winter St., so it somewhat depends on what is going on. Two nights there was construction going on, so that was quite loud in the street facing bedroom. Otherwise no complaints.
Great location and easyto get around. Thanks for having an elevator.
Loved the apartment! And the location of it. Definitely worth staying here!
Nice place to stay by the common and easy to get around to other places in downtown Boston
Excellent location, extremely clean, and the hosts are amazingly hospitable
Place was very clean and I loved working at the big kitchen island. All of the communication & check-in process was super clear and detailed. I also appreciate how they made check-out so easy. Would definitely stay again
Great stay! Everything was clean and instructions were clear and easy to understand. Surrounding noise was a bit loud throughout the night, but that comes with staying downtown.
We had such a wonderful trip to Boston. Our condo was in a perfect location to all the historic areas. Great communication with the property representatives. Would definitely book with them again.
This AirBnB is right in the heart of downtown Boston. There are a lot of shops and restaurants right outside, or it's a quick 20 minute wall to the north end or 15 minutes to the Beacon Hill neighborhood. It's a great location if you want to be close to everything! The downside is that it's in the middle of the city, so it's a bit noisy. From one room, you can hear the sounds of the street, and from another you can hear the elevator squealing. You should be fine if you bring ear plugs.
Excellent location, very close to everything! The Commons and The Freedom Trail were directly across the street. Super clean and comfortable beds. Exactly as pictured!! Will definitely stay there again!
It was the perfect location! We were able to walk to everything!
Great location, security, everything as advertised and easy access. A couple maintenance issues but nothing serious. Have alerted maintenance.
The apartment is located on a great location near pretty much everything you’re going to be visiting in Boston. It is very big, very clean and modern looking. Everything was more than great. Communication with the host is super fast and pleasant.
The apartment was perfect location in boston! It was easily walkable to many attractions. The apartment was pretty and spacious for the five of us. The only down sides I would say is the amount of noise (which is obvious from being in the middle of the city) however there is a lot of construction going on on site in the Airbnb down stairs of the apartment so it could be noisy at times. Otherwise it was a great stay!
Great stay. There’s some construction going on in the lobby but once you get into the Airbnb, it was very clean and got the job done. Brian & Heather were great at giving instructions
Great location! Walkable to stores and restaurants, very clean space.
Good sized airbnb with lots of space to spread out.
very good location, walking distant to everything. power point shorts in several places, but there are plenty other power points we can use. the front room a bit noisy from the street. everything else are just perfect. there is luggage storage place near by. even check in is 5pm. we can store our luggage for small fee.
Great location. Wonderful space, well and comfortably appointed. Very clear communication. Highly recommend! Thank you, Heather, Brian and team
Very clean and in a great central location! Brian and Heather were very helpful!
Amazing location! If you are looking for a weekend of sightseeing in Boston this place is perfect. Literally steps from the start of the Freedom Trail. The place has a cool city feel inside. Plenty of space for our family of 6 to relax. Kitchen was only moderately stocked, missing some basics. The place was surface clean but could use a deep cleaning. Hosts were very responsive when needed. There is construction going on downstairs (this was clearly stated in the listing). It didn’t bother us at all over the weekend but it might be a problem if you’re staying during the week. Easy loading and unloading near the front door. This was a pleasant surprise with the downtown location (we used Spot Hero to find an affordable parking spot for the weekend). Overall, it was a great stay and would definitely book again when we come back to Boston.
The location was unbeatable! The unit was as pictured and included all the necessities! The hosts were super warm and responsive! We stayed with our two toddlers and it was perfect. If traveling with kids, I would recommend bringing sound machines and-or fans to block out noise with and outside the apartment. We will definitely be staying again!
We enjoyed our stay in Boston at Brian and Heather's place. The location was great, super close to Boston Common and easy walking into the town centre. The apartment itself is as described, a city centre loft style apartment, with abundant style and character, albeit showing a hint of tiredness. The front of the apartment faces onto a busy central street - which is noisy - but as expected given the central location. Communications with Brian and Heather were excellent, and we really appreciated the chance to drop off our luggage early.
We had a fantastic stay at this property. It was very comfortable and perfect for us to relax after a long day exploring Boston. As this was our first time in Boston, we weren't sure which area to stay in and this location was easy for us to walk wherever we wanted to go.
Perfect stay!
Perfect location and very clean! We’d stay again!
Husband shared the space and location was excellent
We actually stayed in two different apartments with Brian and Heather across our 3 nights in Boston. We had booked late and this was the only availability we could arrange. Our hosts made the transition between apartments seamless and that made our stay great! The apartment itself was fantastic for our family of five and allowed us to unwind after a day of walking and exploring the city. We also travelled with a dog and being so close to Boston Commons was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!
This rental is exactly as pictured. It is really close to historic sites. Only downside is the lack of parking and homeless people tend to sleep/congregate near the building entrance.
We had a lovely stay. We enjoyed the great location. You can walk to many attractions and right next to public transportation.
One of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed in - everything super easy and clean and flawless experience. Great location and value. Thank you!
Our stay for my birthday weekend was great, directions about check in and check out were very clear!
My wife and 4 boys (14, 13, 11, 3) spent 3 lovely days/nights in downtown Boston, and this property fit us perfectly. Plenty of space for all us, 2 full bathrooms, washer/dryer, smart tv. All that said, the location was magnificent. We walked everywhere we wanted, there is a subway station 200 feet away, the Boston common is across the street. What a great location and place to stay. There was some city noise and the subway sounds, but not a problem AT ALL with regard to sleeping or enjoying our stay. The check in instructions and directions couldn’t have been easier, and we saw several families staying in adjacent units, no doubt loving the feel of an apartment right in downtown Boston. Thank you for the opportunity to stay, we had a marvelous time.
Pros: we loved the location for what we wanted to do in Boston, the loft had plenty of space for the four of us, the beds were comfortable, and in unit laundry was great after being on vacation for a week Cons: definitely out of the owners control, but it is noisy both outside and inside the building
Everything was great and as described! Very helpful hosts! Would stay again!
Amazing location making it accessible to walk anywhere in the city. Hosts were accommodating to early checkin & late checkout and the spot was very clean. Definitely recommend!
Property is centrally located to many area things to do, allowing walking access. Parking is the hardest problem in Boston and no reflection on this property. We could not use the two parking spots onsite because of construction. This will be nice once all construction is complete.
We really enjoyed our stay in Boston. The location cannot be beaten, and the home was spacious, clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the large entrance hallway for stroller parking as we and our friends have young children. We had great communication with the hosts who went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable. The only negative was that we were a little disappointed with the quality of some of the kitchen items. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
Beautiful apartment amazing location a must stay spot in Boston
Really great place, clean and in a strategic location, close to all places of interest in the city. Would definitely stay there again when I’ll visit Boston next time.
Awesome place. We loved it more than any other place we have stayed in Boston over the past few years. We would come back again.
The place is perfect. Very peaceful, steps from Boston Commons. We stayed here for the Boston Marathon and it was great. Very clean, good beds, close to lots of things. You can hear the T but I thought it was soothing background noise. Felt safe. One chair at the kitchen table was broken, but otherwise everything in good working order. Basic pots and pans and silverware there, drip coffee maker, toaster, electric tea kettle. No paper towels, bring your own. Thanks for a really nice stay!
The apartment is really nice, big and clean. Nice deco and good beds. All amenities covered as described. The access to the building is explained by the hosts and no issues if the instructions are followed. Great location.
This apartment is very nice and was well kept. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only caution I would give is that the area has quite a few drug addicts and homeless on the street.
Awesome spot, great for our family. Conveniently located. Will stay there again!
Brian + Heather’s place is amazing, it’s right in the Downtown, next to the T station and Commons. It’s really well maintained in a old, historical building. The windows don’t seem to isolate much sound, so passing underground T can be heard and felt, as well as, people on the street.
Thank you! It was the perfect location and perfect apartment. Thanks for being so helpful and easy to work with. I would highly recommend to others.
The host is running a business with many many flats. They have a cleaning team that rotates around all the apartments they own and they give them a very generous window of operation 10am-5pm. & hours to clean the apartment. Most hotels and other airbnb operators will have flexibility between 10/11am - 2/3pm Because they use automatic locks on timers they host won't even make the effort to change the passcode to enter early even if their cleaners prepared you room hours before. On my way our I get a message from the host Heather claiming I broke a lamp with a picture of a broken lamp, very close up so we couldn't even see what room the lamp was in or if the photo was taken at the apartment at all and then requested additional money from us. Not sure if the host is running some scam or if the cleaners broke the lamp and tried to accuse us. Either way not in the mood to go back
Great location. Restaurants, bars, Boston Public Gardens, freedom trail, all within a block Plenty of room for 5 adults.
This loft style condo is truly in the heart of Boston Commons, across from the Freedom Trail, great restaurants, public transportation…. all easily accessible. The location was fantastic! That said, the building access is at the end of a short narrow street, and seems to attract a homeless group, particularly in the evenings. A few times there were homeless blocking the doorway, which can be a little unsettling for a woman approaching the building alone. As for the interior, it was simple, and stylishly modern. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen/living area was spacious. I was pleased with the interior, with the exception of two minor things: 1. there were no basic pantry items, including no coffee (so come prepared with some ground coffee); 2. the washing machine had a very strong mildew smell when open (not a problem if you don’t plan to use it.). Overall, a very nice stay with a great location.
The apartment was clean , modern and comfortable. The neighborhood was a little sketchy
Remarkable location and home like feel.
Great location! Right across from Park St. T station and Boston Commons. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Don’t miss the Chocolate Babka at Bakey or the new MLK statue across the road. This place is like a hotel room but bigger. Not like a “typical” AirB&B. The bedding and towels were clean and smelled wonderful. Very clean kitchen and bathrooms. None of the “stocked kitchen” feel you might find at most places. Just salt and pepper. You can hear the T pass by underground as a rumble methodically through your stay. The bedroom near the alley invites sounds through the night. Monday nights are trash night so that was LOUD. I tried using my phone as a sound machine but the alley echoes everything. The beds are pretty comfortable. My son stayed in the room furthest from the alley and slept well. It’s sparse but meets your needs. It was reasonable until we saw the cleaning charge $180 was more than the cost of the room. I would probably do a hotel next time.
The space was clean large and in an amazing area. The rooms were large and two bathrooms are perfect for staying with a group The only draw back was the amount of noise. The concrete floors really amplify the noisy neighbor above. But for the price location and size it’s a really great deal. Thanks for hosting us.
Heather and Brian are remarkable hosts and the property is exactly as seen and described. They are very kind, responsive and caring about their guests comfort! I read previous reviews about the noisy Boston surroundings and as a noise adverse person, I honestly didn’t find the people walking about to be problematic. Clearly you’re in the hustle and bustle of downtown. There is a food court ride outside the building and a CVS, Walgreens, Starbucks and so much more within walking distance. The only thing I wish it had is some kitchen extras like coffee, sugar, cream, ketchup packets, etc. Traveling in the South, hosts grant access to their pantry and leave a few snacks and extras for when you arrive - that kind of thing. It’s hard traveling 10 hours in very cold weather and having to go find coffee or something when you arrive. BUT, there was never a promise of these things so it did not detract from the amazing stay.
Quaint and charming apartment, clean. Not as well maintained, in need of a few repairs/upkeep. Hosts were responsive to problems. As hosts mentioned, lots of noise from both street and other apartment residents. Every room needed a noise machine. Overall a fine place for a short stay.
This is the place to stay in Boston. I don’t know if the location could be any better. Steps away from the Boston Common, subway station, historic monuments and practically on the Freedom Trail. The house was spotless and very cozy. The neighborhood was great and had a convenient food court and extensive mall next door. Would definitely stay here again.
Overall a great stay and the apartment is beautiful. Keep in mind that this unit is the first true livable unit in the building (one floor above street level). Street noise is as expected due to this. Public transit brings a lot of folks near/around apartment. Be sure to check the check-in time on post, 5pm was late for us and I wish I had paid closer attention as we had to pay a fee to check-in at Airb&b’s typical check-in time of 3pm. Apartment has everything you need for a weekend stay and both bathrooms are updated with nice glass showers. Would stay again!
Great stay. Place is very clean and very spacious esp for Boston. Was the perfect fit for our trip. Ty very much !
Had a great stay! Everything went smoothly and enjoyed my time.
Great location! We stayed here with my parents and 2 young kids and it was plenty of space for everyone.
Great space and great location in Boston!
The place was clean and wonderful, check in was easy with instructions and all. It was centrally located with park and shopping and two t lines close by. Along with convenience, there are city noises to be aware of. I would say this place is worth the convenience but not a place for super light sleepers. The bathrooms were clean and well appointed with toiletries and lots of towels.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. We loved the location, great location near everything. Literally on the side of the Orpheum Theatre. Walking distance to historical landmarks, parks, monuments, museums, tourist tours, tourist attractions, train station, restaurants, bars and so much more. Super secure building as you need code to gain access to building and code within the building to go into the elevator area. I was able to purchase a parking pass to park right in front of the building which was great. Did not have no issues with communication with the host. When we got there, the door was unlocked and the apartment was opened. We contacted the host to let them know and they mentioned that the cleaning person perhaps left it opened accidentally but not to worry because we were in the safest area of Boston; my husband went inside and checked the entire apartment before we all went in. We also double checked that the key lock was working properly which is was so we were good. Spacious yet cozy feel. The bed was too soft for my liking but my kids and mother-in-law loved it. Full kitchen, big bathrooms and we were provided enough bath towels for all. Would definitely stay here again :)
The location was wonderful! Walkable to all the major downtown attractions with access to coffee and groceries right outside the building. I know many people mentioned the noise and I will say I could hear people walking around upstairs sometimes but between tenants on the same floor I couldn't hear anything. The apartment itself was spacious and clean - would def stay again!
Wonderful stay, plenty of room for three adults, 2 children and a toddler. Easy access and great location. Short walk to restaurants, groceries and the park!
Easy access and great, very clean place!
Really nice place! Plenty of room for all of us, comfortable beds, amenities were all wonderful, communication was easy. The location was great; Boston Common and the Public Garden are favorite places of ours, the freedom trail is literally steps away, and many good restaurants, coffee houses and neighborhoods are within easy walking distance. We highly recommend, and we’ll ge back again!
This lovely loft style apartment is really comfortable and well appointed. It is a block from Boston Commons and close to many historical and cultural sites. There is a grocery store in the mall next door and lots of restaurants in easy walking distance. Great location and responsive hosts!
Amazing location and even better hosts. Just steps from Boston commons and the freedom trail. Apartment was clean and beds were comfortable. They even provided sleeps on machines and air plugs for the city sounds expected in this area. The seating in the living room was a little bit limited but otherwise bathrooms, kitchen and as a bonus washer and dryer were perfect! Get the parking pass. It is well worth the cost. Driving and parking in downtown Boston is usually a nightmare and this made it absolutely enjoyable.
Great place. Great location. Will rent again from Brian &Heather! Was a wonderful time in Boston!
We had a wonderful stay and we’re really impressed with the proximity to so many things downtown and the cleanliness of our unit. Brian and Heather were incredibly responsive with questions as well. We would definitely stay here again!
This place is an absolute hidden gem. Location! Location! Location! A kind of incognito place that is a hop jump skip from the Boston Common and the Park Street train station stop (Green Line goes to Fenway Park). Place is so central city you’re literally only a 10-15 minute walk from the North End and Little Italy! Then you step inside to see the beautiful brick wall design with 2 full bathrooms tucked away in a corner building. As a NYC kid myself, this place felt like home. My only notable mention would be the time constraints. Check in is normally 5PM and check out is as early as 10AM. I think what I’m used to is a 3PM, 11AM situation so definitely keep that in mind. You’ll have to reach out for the early check-in and the late check-out if you need more time. However, Brian is super communicative and very accommodating and will work with you to get it done. Definitely a great spot. Will be back if I can!
You cannot find a better location or more friendly staff!
We absolutely loved our stay at Brian and Heather’s. Super easy check in, and they let us drop our bags off early while we walked around town. The location was perfect, we felt very safe and was a short walk to several local shops and bars. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for all 6 of us in our group. We will definitely be staying again if we are ever in Boston!
Great location, great apartment. Close to everything.
Our stay at Brian and Heather’s place was perfect for our overnight in Boston. The apartment was clean and well appointed, but did feel like it could use refresh - some items around the house felt a little worn out from use and turnover. One note for families with little ones - the neighborhood Has a lot to offer, and is perfect for getting around town quickly and easily, but the area does have a good number unhoused folks smoking, drinking, and “sleeping” nearby. Nothing to be done about it of course, and has no effect on the rental itself, but just something to be aware of when juggling curious kiddos
We loved our stay here. The place was well equipped and very comfortable. We also loved being in such a central location. Every major landmark is in short walking distance. We will definitely stay here again.
The apartment is really close to the subway and a lot of sights, very clean and well equipped. During nighttime it can get quite loud , which was a little disturbing, but we enjoyed the comfortable loft and space and had a good time.
Excellent location, right across Boston Common, on the Freedom Trail. Everything is walking distance ( historical landmarks, restaurants, grocery store ) and the subway station is right there as well. Communication is prompt at all hours of day and night. Highly recommend this place.
Nice place, good location and amenities. Hosts were accomodating.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
