This beautiful apartment has exposed brick and an industrial feel, but also the warmth and comfiness of an inviting home. What makes this space unique is it's history. The building hallways all show historic photos of the neighborhood dating back to the 1800s! Just steps from the Boston Common, this building has had many tenants over the decades, from retail shops to manufacturing companies!
The building has an ADA compliant entrance, two elevators, two staircases, plenty of storage for trash, and even an Amazon Locker where you can send packages. (at the time of writing this description we are currently setting up the locker, please confirm if it is operational when you book!)
Each bedroom is thoughtfully designed, from the linens pillows and mattress to storage and lighting. Most bedrooms face inwards into a lightwell, or outwards into a city street, so you may not have "Amazing" views of a city skyline, but you will likely have a nice dark night sleep.
Each apartment is equipped with a smart lock and the building has an intercom system which allows a full, self-check-in experience.
The building is also monitored live by a third party security firm, 24/7 and we have an on-site security guard, nightly, from 8pm-2pm for your safety.
You'll have full access to the entire apartment as it if were your home.
We will give our guests the privacy they require with the support they need. We have coverage for virtual help from 7am-11pm and can help with any guest needs from 11am-7pm.
Just steps from the Boston Common, this neighborhood has had many personalities over the decades! Since the early 1900s, the area along Washington and Tremont Streets, roughly from School Street to Beach Street, has also been referred to as the Ladder District. Now it is most commonly named Downtown Crossing as most of the city's Subway's or (T-lines) intersect at Park Street station. The MBTA's Downtown Crossing subway station directly serves Downtown Crossing. The State Street and Park Street stations are within close walking distance. Silver Line service is also available. You can get literally anywhere in the city for a few dollars and a Tpass.
The apartment building is located on a dead end street which means it's super quiet for automobile traffic, but still has the lively city feel as foot traffic is sure to be noticeable any time of day, even in the winter. The Boston Common is only a few hundred feet from the entrance to the building.
Important to note is that lately there has been a gathering of homeless people during the day and night, right outside the 7/11 around the corner. The high foot-traffic provides them opportunities to pan-handle. Please use your caution, and common sense. We've never had an issue, but for folks visiting from towns and rural settings may find this surprising, even concerning.
We've taken measures to make sure our guests are very safe and comfortable during their stays. The building is monitored 24/7 live by a third party security firm. The Boston Improvement Department does nightly walks of the property and nearby streets. We also have an on-site security guard, nightly from 8pm-2am for your safety.
Shipping up to Boston? We put together a great guide filled with information for getting around the city and beyond!
Downtown Boston is easy to navigate. It’s compact, walkable, has an abundance of taxis, yes they still exist! And Uber's are always a tap away. What makes Boston so accessible is it's public transportation system. Driving downtown can be a challenge with its dated road layout and limited parking options but, it’s the most convenient option for travel outside of Boston Proper.
The MBTA is Boston’s public transportation system, and it’s a great way to get around quickly and cheaply. The “T” refers to the subway, which runs throughout Boston, into Cambridge, and into nearby suburbs, providing access to all the attractions located in Boston. Just look for the big "T" in a circle to find a stop.
You can also take buses to get all over the city, and the Commuter Rail is an easy way to get to points outside of Boston. You can buy paper “Charlie Tickets” for single or multiple subway rides at vending machines located in most stations. When your ticket runs low, visit a fare vending machine to add value. A single basic fare for the T is $2.75 with a Charlie Ticket, although if you pick up a Charlie Card (a plastic card like a credit card), the fare is lower at $2.25 for one way. You can load the Charlie Card with an amount of your choosing, so it's smart way to explore the city. They're available at almost every T stop, and are free to get. Once on board, hang on! Being one of the oldest public transportation systems in the country, the T is not always the smoothest ride.
Parking. or "Paahking" is hard to find, expensive (by most tourists accounts) and is best done in lots or garages for peace of mind. Please check out a website called "Spot Hero" to find the most updated options and prices!

Beautiful place to stay right in the heart of Boston! Very close to everything and the staff was awesome the whole stay
Location can't be beat. As a native Bostonian, I could not have asked for a more central location. T station less than a block; Boston Common less than a block; Back Bay, Faneuil Hall, Beacon Hill and even Boston Garden all walkable!
Pros: great location, close to everything and walkable. They also don't have any crazy rules for the apartment and they're dog friendly. Coms: there is construction at the window for all the bedrooms since they look out to the same enclosed space. Again the bed room faces construction workers from 7am-4/5pm, which is crazy and made my family uncomfortable. The walls are also paper thing so I heard neighbors kids running at 7 am sharp. Last thing the building is still under heavy control so be careful.
Awesome location! Great space. Clean and spacious. Would stay again!
Check in was effortless as we just used a code. The host was very responsive via email, but we never actually met or spoke. The beds in all four rooms were comfortable, not so for any of the pillows. The place says it accommodates six (which the beds can) but don’t expect that many to be able to hang out. There is one rigid couch, two bar stools and two small dining chairs. There was toilet paper, but no spindle in the front bathroom. The microwave door was broken, so they brought in another, small one to put on the counter. There were towels and tiny bar soap, pods for the washer and dishwasher, and shampoo. No kleenex, no coffee, not even art on the walls (there was just one poster of the periodic table). Construction began at 8:00am one foot from the bedroom windows. We couldn’t adjust the thermostat and the windows opened only two inches. So if all you want is a REALLY warm place to sleep, this place was great. If you want a place that feels a little cozy, keep looking.
This apartment perfectly accommodated our group of seven plus our 14 month old. The inside was clean, tasteful, and surprisingly spacious. The location and access is convenient to all Boston has to offer. Kudos to the hosts for crafting an impeccable offering. We will surely be back. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone considering a stay!
The location is wonderful. There is an outdoor mall behind the building that was very convenient. There was construction, but it was barely noticeable. The subway was literally across the street. The host responded very quickly.
Overall very comfortable stay. Location was great. Right next to Boston common and just a couple blocks away from the start of the freedom trail. Walking distance from so many other cool Boston areas including Feneuil Hall, North end, China town, etc etc. I was especially grateful for the good communication when we needed assistance getting the heat turned on.
Wonderful spot but it is definitely under construction. Very loud all day long. Hard to work remote.
Great location and great idea, poor execution. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything that happened in the adjacent apartment, upstairs and downstairs, including construction that started at 6:30 in the morning with loud banging and power tools. The front door lock was barely attached and did not feel secure. The elevators were occasionally out of service. The apartment itself was nice and the bathrooms were roomy. The kitchen was fully stocked and useful.
Positives-GREAT location, clean apartment, good host communication, comfortable beds Cons-a quick turn around and make money place. SO many things broken/cheap/lack of care: microwave door handle coming off, toilet paper roller missing, electric short in bathroom light left you in the dark while in shower, rollers missing on dishwasher bottom rack, three glasses for a home that sleeps 8, no knives, doors on hinges blocking light switches, the heat WAS so hot overnight and we couldn't lower it, directions to get into key lock were incorrect and did not explain how to lock it when leaving, etc. The construction made it SO much better to use the Winter Street entrance. Overall, it was worth it for us for the location but it lacks personal touches that we have enjoyed at other Airbnbs. It's an Airbnb factory.
The hosts were quite responsive to any needs that we had. Although, it should be noted that the construction occurs on the weekdays and there's not a ton of natural light throughout the place. Other than these factors, it's in a great location!
I really enjoyed my stay here this was a great location for gathering friends in Boston.
Incredible place in the best location. Easily walkable to public transportation, the Massachusetts Statehouse, Sam Adams and John Hancock graves, and many other notable locations. We would definitely recommend this place and if we are back in Boston would stay here again.
Overall it was fine. The location was what we were looking for and there were plenty of bedrooms. There was a lot of construction in the building which started at 6am every day and paper thin walls and ceilings. The lobby areas were under construction as well which made navigating a bit more difficult. It was in the 40s the entire time we were there, the AC was on and locked, so the unit was extremely cold the entire stay. Satisfied in general, but hard to enjoy when you can’t warm up.
Hosts: Very responsive Area: Very unsafe/dangerous. The location is in a dead end alley where homeless tended to linger around during the evening. There’s no parking and the closet garage is quite a walk. While walking to get my vehicle in the morning (11am), I was nearly attacked by a homeless person. I had to run to the other side of the street. Also, witness a lot of drug use. Building: Completely unfinished lobby. The entire ceiling was exposed and I’m honestly not sure how safe it was to walk through it. It’s definitely an active construction site - I heard hammering and other construction noises early one morning. Room: Apartment seems unfinished in areas. It’s very dark and there’s no natural light. It was clean. No outlets worked in the kitchen area. For parents of small children - the Tv and Tv stand is not anchored and can easily tip over. Also, every room had blinds with long cords (hazard for small kids).
Great spot. Great accommodations. Wouldn’t mind just a bit longer a window — either a slightly earlier check in or slightly later checkout. Understand the desire for immediate turnover and cleaning flexibility given the place as part of the health care accommodation network, which is a great cause. But figure maybe another hour on one end or the other would still be manageable. Otherwise a fantastic spot. Highly recommend.
The location is awesome. We were able to walk everywhere. The condo was clean. You can’t find a better location for the price to tour Boston. Super convenient to shopping, historic sites, restaurants and the subway. We would definitely stay here again!
The apartment itself is lovely, it was clean and had everything we needed after messaging the very responsive hosts. Unfortunately, the block is under renovation and the electric kept tripping which was a pain. Overall a nice stay & will be perfect when the block is fully finished.
Outstanding location, steps from the Common, easy walks to downtown, Back Bay and Beacon Hill. Clean, comfortable and great responsiveness! Building had charm and great access to transit!
Large very well kept apartment in the heart of Boston downtown.
From start to finish our stay at Brian and Heather‘s place was amazing. The amenities were great, lots of room for our group, and it was very clean and comfortable. We asked for early check-in, and we were able to have this. Brian was very responsive to every inquiry we made. Thanks for a wonderful time in the city!!
This place was great!!! The hosts were so responsive and the place was wonderful and clean! Thank you so much!!
The location was perfect. Walkable to Boston Common and Beacon Hill. It should be noted that the building is under significant construction.
It Couldn’t be better I strongly recommend!
Was a great location, group of friends (4 couples) great beds, kitchen area a little small and more pots and pans would have been nice along with more stools in kitchen! Otherwise was a nice place to stay!
Brian + Heather were very helpful and responsive. It is in a great spot in Boston and close to the train. It fit all of our needs and would stay again!
It is my second year staying at this place and I am very happy. Location is great and everything works pretty well.
Very nice experience.
We love to see our Dodgers play on the road, Brian and Heather's place was perfect for us, group of 6 baseball fans looking for a nice, comfortable space to stay for a couple of days. Check in instructions were easy and smooth, the place inside is exactly how the photos look in the description. Basically in the middle of everything, great restaurants and bars, also the train is walkable distance. Brian and Heather were very helpful in a couple of questions I had and were fast responsive about them. We will definitely recommend this beautiful apartment to friends and family visiting Boston, Massachusetts. Thank you
Very nice location and plenty of space for a group of 5 or more. Basics were provided and plenty of towels. We did need to switch around bedrooms a few times given some of the bed frames were shaky and felt unstable but overall very positive experience!
There was a party both nights in the unit above us. Walls are very thin. We weren’t notified that the building is under major construction. Lots of construction noise during the day.
The checkin instructions had us taking our luggage and stroller down an entire flight of stairs. The location is excellent. The noise level from the construction going on literally next door throughout our stay was frustrating. We have a 4 month old baby and I came prepared with a sound machine but the drilling, & banging noises were enough to keep all of us from napping and woke us up early each morning. There were people working on the building fire suppression system which kept closing the fire barrier doors. They also had drilled many holes all over the unit that hadn’t been patched and cut big squares out but didn’t bother with repairing them. The room my baby slept in the blinds broke and you have neighbors directly across. Just made me feel uncomfortable. The bedroom door wouldn’t close because the bed was in the way. The sheets and towels were noticeably dingy as there were new and old with a brownish tint. We paid a lot to stay and just overall disappointing.
This is a great location for things to do in Boston….Freedom Trail, Red Sox game, proximity to train lines, and great restaurants. Unit was secure and clean. Walls had some damage but was just superficial and didn’t affect anything. Brian and Heather were really great to work with. Very responsive to our questions and alerted us to a fire alarm test days in advance. Would recommend this place for sure!!
Apartment is as pictured. Easy communication and check-in. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has only very basic equipment. The apartment is not well insulated against upstairs and outside noise. One big draw back at the time of this review: the building is still under construction and they do start work at 7 a.m.
Great hosts and great location.
Fantastic location, near everything. They were so helpful and responded quickly.
We had a great stay! The apartment was right in the middle of Boston with access to Boston Common and Freedom Trail. Great location, great place to stay!
Great location for walking the Freedom Trail and other areas in downtown. Had all we needed for family of 5. Would come back again, thanks!
The location for this AirBnB was amazing! The building itself was under construction while we were there but it wasn't loud enough to be distracting. The apartment itself is spacious and had everything we needed during our stay.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this Airbnb in Boston. It was great and the location was fantastic. It was situated in a prime area of Boston, allowing us easy access to all the major attractions and neighborhoods. We were thrilled to have such a central base to go explore the city. The apartment itself was lovely. It had a very welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. Cleanliness was a top priority, and the apartment was impeccably maintained. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed a good night's sleep after our busy days of exploring the city. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals when we didn't feel like dining out. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable, and we had no issues staying connected. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this Airbnb, we highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Boston!
My colleagues and I stayed here during the BIO conference, it was spacious and provided enough space for us all, and it was a quick 15 min walk to the convention centre. Would recommend staying at Brian & Heather's for future conferences in Boston. Thanks!
Wonderful location and clean place. It was very comfortable and the hosts were very responsive as well.
A great spot to stay for exploring Boston on foot with a group a friends!
Wonderful location and a very roomy apartment with plenty of bedrooms. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Our only problem was the noise; the family staying in the upstairs apartment was extremely loud, at night and early in the morning, simply the floors are very creaky so any walking upstairs is loud; and any noise in the hallway can be heard which is annoying if there’s a party or people coming and going very late. It’s really not just “city life”, the building is old and loud, simple as that. The hosts were very responsive but there was no real recourse to solve the sound issues.
The place was perfect for our group and the location was great. The hosts always responded promptly to messages.
Great place for a great price! Would happily stay again.
Had a great stay with friends here!! The space was super cute and very clean. Easy check in and check out. Walking distance to many places around the Boston Common area. Brian and Heather respond to questions in a timely manner. Would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to a future stay!
Awesome place to stay! So much space!!
Great location near Boston Common. We lucked out that there was no show at the theater next door, so it was decently quiet for downtown. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Definitely a great space for sleeping and exploring city. Would be tight to hang out as there isn’t much seating for either eating or hanging out. But it was great for us!
Amazing stay, super cozy, very accommodating hosts.
This place was perfect for a weekend or an extended stay. It had everything one could need and it was extremely clean. The location is perfect for walking and is right next to Boston commons. The beds were very comfortable and there were enough pillows which is a rarity!
Everything was great with this cute apartment! Walking distance to so many historic activities. Hosts were super responsive and helpful! Would stay here again!
Brian and Heather are wonderful hosts. They were quick to respond to questions and gave us accurate information about the apartment we rented. The apartment was very adequate for a family of five plus baby. They also allowed us to bring our two dogs. After asking Heather, we received a new coffeemaker (there wasn't one in the rental) in a short period of time. Renters should familiarize themselves with the parking garages in the area, since there is limited parking onsite. We would rent this apartment again as it is in a great location near the Boston Commons, allowing people to walk everywhere. It was not very noisy for a city apartment.
Great location can get to everything in city easy
Our weekend stay in Boston was fine for the time we were there. The apartment had nice privacy in each room and was free of street noise for the most part. The beds were comfortable if you are good with memory foam. Some like it others don't, the bed linens were fine and new. There is not a lot of luxury to the setup but the place is clean, check-in is easy and the hosts were very quick to respond.
Great location! Center of boston near everything. Parking was a little tough since the theater was using the spots provided by the property. So we had to park almost a mile away. But not terrible. Condo could use more cookware (one pan) but overall a great place to stay for a weekend in boston!
Nice location. Clean and tidy. A bit noisy from people upstairs.
Thank you! Overall a great experience and we love staying in that area of town! Everything was clean and tidy. We look forward to staying at the property during our next visit to Boston.
Incredible place in the perfect area! Accommodated our girls trip perfectly!
The apt. offers decent value however, while it is centrally located it is in an alley that does not feel very safe. The apartment and building are a bit run down. The photos look much nicer than the reality.
We had an excellent stay and thank Brain and Heather for their hospitality!
Stayed here for one night because our flight got cancelled. It was super easy and convenient to check in. Clear instructions, clean place and great location!
Great location. Great apartment. Great space for a larger family. Rental company communications were quick and check in was super easy
Very clean, comfortable beds and a great location. Many restaurants, bars, grocery store and retails stores close by …. All within an easy walking distance. The T is also close by as well. Airport was about a 15 min Uber ride.
Clean, beautifully furnished and straightforward checkin!
My group of friends really enjoyed our time staying at Brian and Heather's place. Space was clean, comfortable and as described in the listing. Close to the train and many of the great neighborhoods in Boston. Would recommend staying at this location as long as you're looking to be in the middle of the action and not a quiet retreat from the city. We wanted to spend a weekend out and about, so this apartment was perfect for our group.
Great location and service from hosts!
Very nice apartment. They communicated very well and made the stay simple! Would definitely recommend
Overall clean and comfortable place. Lock pad at front door means no one loses their key and great to have the shared living room / kitchen space
Location is just perfect, short distance everywhere. We were able to park car nearby for public parking garage. Aparment was very clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommend for people who want stay heart of city but also enjoy silence in own apartment.
Very cool, clean, comfortable place!
This was a great Airbnb for our group of friends! The location was ideal, plenty of restaurants and bars around plus a huge park across the street. The communication was consistent and thorough, the hosts provided everything we would need to know about the apartment. Would definitely stay here again, a great way to see downtown Boston!
Really glad we were able to book this spot. It was so convenient for our group's first time in Boston. Literally across the street from the Boston Common and super convenient location for train/our dinner out as well. The hosts were very good at communication and accommodating as well.
Great appartement to stay, highly recommended!
Great location and hosts, not a single question upon check in or out, smoothest AirBNB I’ve had
Great Location. Can walk anywhere. Close to attractions , restaurants, public transportation, the Commons and the Garden. Very clean. Plenty of room. Brian was very nice and quick to respond to any questions we had. Previous reviews are pretty spot on. Thanks for hosting us !
Great location, communication and exactly as described.
This place was awesome. You could not have a better location. We were able to walk everywhere and see all the sites and be right in the heart of everything. However, it was quiet and peaceful. Never heard any traffic or pedestrian noise. The accommodations were spacious. There were five of us altogether and we never felt cramped or lacking for space. There were four nice sized bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms. I loved the living and kitchen being open, we were able to all be together. The communication with the hosts were outstanding. I received quick responses on anything I messaged about. This stay was a big part of making our vacation perfect.
Super convenient to everything. Well kept and clean the hosts Brian and Heather are a pleasure to work with.
Wonderful place in downtown Boston. it’s in the center of everywhere especially the Boston’s main attractions in the walking distance. Convenient if rent a car as there is a parking space right in front of the apartment with some extra expense or if using the public transportation, the subway is just right around the corner. The place itself is very spacious, clean and easy to check in. Lastly, the communication with Brian and Heather is so fast response and easy to talk to. We will come back to stay here again soon.
Great place in a good location. Brian and Heather were responsive and met all our needs. Would stay again.
Loved this place! We had an impromptu concert from a trumpeter down in the courtyard below. The design is cool / chic and you can’t be the location for downtown access.
Thanks for another great repeat stay. Clean unit in a very convenient neighborhood. great access to T and walking to many fun neighborhoods.
We enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Great location. Great apartment. Great hosts.
Great location for those visiting Boston. Hosts were fantastic.
This unit is wonderfully located right off Boston Common, and has everything you need for a great stay. Communication from the hosts was smooth and timely, everything was clean and worked as advertised. Would stay here again without reservation.
We loved staying here! It was in a perfect location for my family to walk to Boston Common and several museums. The apartment building felt very safe, as there are many key codes and security. The apartment itself was a great size for our family of five and was decorated so cute.
Great apartment, even better location. Quick family visit for the weekend and everything was within walking distance. The apartment is very comfortable and the hosts were very responsive. Loved our stay.
amazing place to stay at in downtown Boston. definitely worth the price and the cleanliness of the rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms were great. plenty of towels and handhels were given. It came with enough dish soap, detergent and other cleaning supplies needed to help keep the room clean
This place is beautiful and in a great location. The hosts are very accommodating and communicate very well!
Great location and price!!
Great place. Perfect location near the T, Boston sights, and the Common and Public Garden. Very spacious layout that easily accommodated our group. Brian and Heather were great to deal with and answered all of our questions promptly. Probably my best AirBnB experience ever.
Used the apartment and another in the building for an 8th grade class trip. Everything was wonderful.
The place was so clean and spacious, definitely our new go to for Boston!
We booked this Airbnb for a conference at the Convention Center. All my colleagues and I appreciated the location, only a 20 min walk to many of our events and the keyless entry. And so close to Chinatown! Really appreciate the clear communications and directions. Definitely would stay here again!
This is an amazing place to stay. Seriously. I'll start with the pros: - BEST location you could ask for. Right on the subway line, close to the attractions. Most of the things we wanted to do were either a 10-15 minute walk or a 10 minute subway ride. I would stay again strictly for the location. You are a 5 minute walk from an incredible grocery store. We arrived, checked in, went grocery shopping, and had everything we needed for the week. - Cleanliness! You can tell this place was cleaned before we arrived. The beds were fresh, floors were clean, showers, toilets, kitchen... EVERYTHING WAS SPOTLESS. I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel that was this clean. - Security. Because of the location, the area doesn't have a lot of foot traffic, which is nice in a downtown setting. One side of the building does has a lot of traffic, and security made sure to move people along that were in a place where they shouldn't be. I happened to notice it in passing, but it was a nice bonus I wasn't expecting. - Communication. I had very small things to communicate to the hosts, and they always responded immediately. In fact, I would send them a message and put my phone away, expecting to hear back some time during the day. They responded immediately. Conversations were finished within minutes. Messages about check-in and check-out were sent with perfect timing. I can see why they're Super Hosts. - The home itself. 4 beds, 2 baths. Nice spacious kitchen/living room. We didn't spend much time in the home since we were out exploring all day, but the time we did spend inside was enjoyable. We all had our own space and never felt cluttered or smothered. It truly was hotel quality. At one point we had questions and my family told me to go ask somebody at the front desk and I had to remind them it was an AirBnB and not a hotel. As for the cons, I'll be honest, there isn't much they could do to make this a better offer. The things that I would describe as cons, are outside of their control so I feel bad even mentioning them. I wouldn't mind having more 'essentials' included, but the things they did include are more than enough to get by, and again, there's a grocery store right up the street. Thank you again Heather and Brian. My family loved Boston and learned so much about your beautiful city. Thank you so much for having us.
Confortable, clean and well equipped apartment. Well recommended.
These damn beds feel soooo gooood!!!!!!! Perfect place downtown, walk-in distance to everything you can think of!!!! Owners have great communication and super organized! I’m coming back for these beds!!!!!
Spacious, tastefully decorated apartment. Super comfortable beds and soft linens. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accomodating. Great central location, with all amenities within walking distance. Although there were sometimes some dodgy activities going on on the street outside the main entrance (as would be expected downtown in any major city), the building itself felt very safe, with a security guard on site.
GREAT Location, fantastic views, elevator for 3rd floor, secure building and lovely layout! SUPER easy check in/out and great communication with hosts. A few hot water issues that we presented to the hosts after we got home - hopefully those can be addressed.
I stayed here for one night with my daughter and a crew of her 16 year old friends. The location was perfect, accommodations were clean, and the beds were comfortable. We hope to stay here again!
Beautiful place, awesome location and great communication with hosts. We loved it there and felt it like home
Great location and fantastic spot. Can’t wait to stay again next time we are in Boston.
Excellent location and great place to stay!
Great place to stay, would give the location 10 stars if possible. We stayed for our family's first trip to Boston. Very clean and the hosts were very good at communication. Beds were comfortable and the place had everything we needed other than a frying pan, but we cooked breakfast in a pot which worked fine.
The Airbnb was a beautiful, and within walking distance to many Boston attractions!
Great location, great place, and seamless process. Brian and Heather are awesome hosts that communicate really well.
Thank you for a wonderful stay! Very convenient location to Downtown Crossing area, clean, spacious.
The condo is great! newly renovated with beautiful kitchen. The place is in the middle of downtown Boston. The place is so close to everything! The food court is a few steps away, shopping is just a block away and the park is just across the street. If you have a car, parking is very expensive $60/night and only a few spaces are available. Your car will be towed if you don't have the pass. Let the hosts know in advance so they can reserve a spot for you.
The unit has good amount of space and is located near several tourist areas. The Beantown pub is a great place to visit and within short walking distance.
It's a great, spacious apartment, conveniently located right on the common, with access to all of Boston. Super easy to check in and out, clean, and full of helpful applicances.
The beds were so Comfortable and the location was perfect for what we needed. Everything was walking distance.
Great find! The location is without comparison--lively, access to great shops and restaurants, easy walk to Chinatown, and the Commons are RIGHT there! Apartment was immaculate, great beds and linens, well-appointed.
Great location and a very easy check-in process. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. First time in Boston and this was an overall great experience from start to finish.
very good place to stay
Absolutely fantastic location right in the heart of Downtown Crossing / Boston Commons. Building is tucked away in a quiet corner, which is amazing given the neighborhood you’re in. Easy access to Downtown Crossing through a food court. We’re in Boston often, and will definitely be staying at Brian + Heather’s apartment again.
The location is top notch, and things would be great if you don’t run into any problems. It was during a COVID surge, and on some of the coldest days of the season so far. It was two days of subzero temps, and the high was 12 degrees with a low of 6. During our second day of our stay (3 nights/4 days), the thermostat stopped working. How did we find out? The apartment was getting increasingly cold, and we were trying to turn up the heat. I informed the Brian and Heather right before noon. They informed me that they would have maintenance up to fix it. In the meanwhile, they asked us to trouble shoot the thermostat. While trouble shooting, the Nest specifically states that it has lost power and we would lose our heat. Brian and Heather tell me they will give us two space heaters and that no one will be coming to fix the thermostat. We stayed in a 4-bedroom apartment. Two space heaters were not going to cut it. I told them this was not acceptable, and that we needed the heat fixed or money back so we could leave. We were told to wait until the next day or contact Air BNB to complain. By the time, Air BNB got back to us, it was too late to leave and find alternate housing. I was told my choices were to 1) leave by 10:00 the next morning or stay and get credited back for one night. I was met with hostility and accused of trying to stay for free when I informed them that I could not give them an answer until they had someone come fix the thermostat and/or I woke up and saw whether or not we lost heat. I was treated like I was unreasonable and I was the problem for not accepting space heaters when their equipment said the heat was going to shut off and they wouldn’t fix it.
We had a great time here. The location is perfect and the hosts were super helpful!
Good place to stay. Hard to get a better location! Highly recommend.
Super lovely stay! Location was amazing!
Great place with plenty of space. Good location and easy check-in.
Great place, location, space. Awesome communication throughout
A great place for a group to stay, in a great location right downtown and near Boston Common with plenty of food options nearby. The place was clean, comfortable, spacious, and attractive. Building has good security. Would definitely recommend.
Such an amazing location, in walking distance to everything ! Beds were super comfortable and the apartment was a perfect size for a whole family.
Had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in the city with my family. Perfect location and building felt very safe. Beds were comfortable and apartment was clean. We all enjoyed our stay.
What a great location! Just across the street from the Freedom Trail, Boston Commons, etc.! Loved the modern styling and spaciousness. Brian and Heather were very quick to respond to both questions and concerns.
Great stay, plenty of room and excellent location
Great space, great location, easy communication!
Very nice place. Very close to downtown. The beds were all really big and comfortable.
We had SUCH a blast in Boston this weekend and the air bnb couldn’t have been more perfect for our stay!! Amazing location, easy to walk to places and super close to the train. Great space in the air bnb we were all comfortable. So cute and the hosts responded almost immediately answering any questions we had! We definitely recommend and stay again!
Great location in downtown across from the Boston Common. Easy walk to tons of Boston's restaurants, bars, and attractions, and easy T access to anywhere further than a quick walk. Lots of space for a downtown apartment. Worth a stay, especially if you need a big spot!
Great location! Loved being close to all the attractions.
I stayed here for the Boston Marathon in October 2021. Overall, it's a great place and the location is top notch. It's downtown and in a quiet alley which I appreciated, away from the busy street and traffic noise. It's across from Boston Common and only a 5 minute walk to the bus pick-up for the marathon. A few streets down is a Roche Bros grocery store to stock up on snacks, Faneuil Hall, and plenty of coffee shops to choose from. Each of the 4 bedrooms are comfortable and provided plenty of privacy for everyone in my group. You need a security code to get through two doors in the building which makes you feel safe. The negatives to this place were, as mentioned in most reviews, the paper thin walls. I was on the 3rd floor and could hear the people above me walking and even talking. I was woken up several times from the noise. That's not a complete surprise considering the age of the building and normally this wouldn't be an issue for me but sleep is top priority when I'm there to run the marathon. Also, the kitchen and living area are smaller than they appear in the photos. There's plenty of stools and chairs but only one couch so my party of 4 couldn't lounge and relax together at the end of the day (it's hard to relax on a stool). A second couch in place of the chairs might work better. We couldn't find more garbage bags so we used our shopping bags. The description of the apartment states 3 bathrooms and that's what I originally thought I was getting but learned later that it only has 2. And lastly, I do feel like the check-in is later than usual and check-out is earlier than usual. There is an option to check-in earlier for an extra $50 but I've stayed at other Airbnb's that are flexible as long as their schedules allow and hotels will hold your luggage until your room is ready. This could be an inconvenience for some. Overall, a great place and great location and I would stay here again.
wonderful location. very walkable. beautiful apartment. worth the money if you want a good Boston experience.
Great place. Loved our stay
Beautiful space!! A lot bigger than I expected. Very clean, neat, and Brian/Heather were quick to respond to any questions. Only downside is the street it’s on. You have to find parking unless one of the five spots on the street are available. (Obviously not owners problem they were lovely) Other than that we had a wonderful stay!!
You cannot beat this location! Just steps from a metro-line or you can walk and within 15 minutes be at the water, Italian district, or anywhere else you'd want to visit in Boston. We had 8 adults and 1 toddler stay here and had plenty of room in the living area to hang out and relax. The only downside is there were not as many amenities as other AirBnbs, we didn't find a cutting board and there were no staples in the cabinet. However, this doesn't really matter if you plan to eat out most of the time. Also, there is a grocery store within a block or two of the apartment so it was easy to pick things up!
Excellent location across from the common and very clean and spacious
Great place with ideal location and convenient check in/out.
This was a perfect location, and the place was very spacious and clean! It was perfect for our group of 5. The unit has everything you’d need for your stay, including a washer/dryer, and you can’t beat the location!
We had a great family beak - Excellent location close to everything in Boston
Loved our stay in the spacious 4 bedroom apartment! It was right in the middle of Downtown Boston with a quick walk to all of the places we wanted to go. Hosts were extremely responsive with everything we needed.
The Good: Location is excellent and you get a lot of space. Also, Brian/Heather respond quickly to messages. The Bad: Check-in process was a major challenge with regards to the parking. The management company that runs the unit had multiple incorrect lockbox and combination combos. It took 4 tries to try to find one that worked. Sheets were very dirty in one of the bedrooms. Hairs were found in 3 of the 4 beds, but the sheets seemed to have been changed in two of them. One bed in particular was filthy and clearly untouched by their cleaning service. We ran our own sheets in the in unit washer/dryer. We expected a quick check-in to drop off belongings and head out, but the whole process of resolving parking and cleaning our sheets took a few hours to get us situated. Noise: I read many issues prior to our stay about paper-thin walls in the building. We all packed earplugs to deal with it, but it was true. You hear CONSTANT noise throughout the day/night through the walls and through the ceiling. Even with earplugs, we were still woken up a couple times because of people making loud noise in the unit above ours. Maintenance issues: Low battery on the lock (we manually opened it on most occasions to avoid draining it and getting locked out). Leak in the second interior bathroom ceiling that we had to wipe up a few times during our stay. Light in one of the bedrooms did not work. This was all reported to the hosts, so I would hope it was resolved after we checked out. The street: Overall, the location of the unit is excellent, however the street specifically has issues. It is a narrow dead-end street. We witnessed rats running within a few feet of the entry door on 3 separate occasions during our 2 night stay. Additionally, there are constantly individuals (seemingly intoxicated) hanging out in front of the building to the North. They catcalled a couple family members traveling with me on multiple occasions. I try not to judge a stay by the neighboring building/people, however it was very difficult to do so because of their proximity. Communication: Brian and Heather were quick to respond to all messages, however we did have further issues with regard to communication. The hosts asked if they had permission to enter our unit the second day to resolve issues of cleaning and maintenance. I responded that we were cleaning our own sheets and they did not have permission to enter. I had an elderly guest and very young child staying in the unit, so I didn't want strangers in the unit due to safety/COVID. The second day, we came back from our morning excursion to find 2 unmasked maintenance/cleaning personnel working their way through the bedrooms. We were shocked because we had specifically told the host not to have anyone come in during our stay. We asked them to leave, which they did (they were very polite and apologetic). When I told the hosts about the issue they said they would communicate with their management team and get back to me. Later that day, someone who stated that he was the owner of the unit called to investigate the issues. I informed him that his property management company had dropped the ball on multiple occasions during our stay. He was incredibly rude in his response. He cut me off and said that he owns over 90 units and I shouldn't tell him how to run his business. At that point, I told him that clearly neither of us was going to get anything positive out of the call and we should leave it at that. I was offended by the call, but quickly realized that it was hopeless to try to reason with the person and it was best to avoid confrontation since we were staying there that night as well. They had already ignored our first request to have people stay out of the unit during our stay, and I did not want further issues. Checkout was straight forward and quick. We cleaned up after ourselves and followed the checkout procedure regarding used linens/garbage, etc. TLDR; Good location, bad maintenance, cleaning issues, rude owner. I would not recommend staying here. There are numerous other options for a larger group in the area. Building seems to have multiple units with the same ownership/management, so perhaps best to avoid completely.
It was in the right part of Boston with very easy access to public transportation. It was everything that they said it was and the host were very easy to communicate with. Ideal space for my extended family to stay in.
Nice centralized place for vacation in Boston. Easy walking distance to a bunch of sites/food. TV wasn't working and the maintenance guy came without notification to fix the next day while we were out. There's also a window that doesn't close all the way. Otherwise, clean and what we needed for the short stay.
great location, not sure if they have a luggage room yet, but we asked a few months ago if we could leave our suitcases in the room before 4pm, and the answer was no, can't get in early either without paying extra. nice apartment, clean they also have a washer/dryer all in one machine-it takes at least 6 hours to dry clothes, keep that in mind if you plan to do a lot of laundry
Super convenient location, plenty of space, beautifully decorated, and very clean! Would stay again!
Amazing location. Right across from Boston commons, easy walk to the water. Tons of bars and restaurants. Subway line right outside. Beautiful apartment.
Highly recommend this amazing place to stay!!! Super convenient to the Park Street T stop, summer street shopping, the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, and there is a Roche Bros grocery store very close. The bedrooms were perfect and the place was spotless. Very modern decor and all the comforts of home. When visiting downtown Boston you must stay here!!!
The place is beautiful and the location is convenient. I understand there was a situation with the linen company but we still expect the beddings to be clean. There was no flat sheet and no duvet on the comforter that was quite stained. Hope this was just a one time thing.
I have stayed with Brian & Heather twice now. Each time it is a wonderful experience. At this point I feel like I have my own home in Boston and cannot wait to return again in the fall. Wifi is strong. Great location to shops and downtown as well as the train. Ameneties in the unit are fully stocked. Washer/dryer laundry is super helpful!
Thank you for hosting us with your place. We had a great time and hope to come back soon.
Brian + Heather's place was great! The best thing about it is its super convenient location - right in the heart of Boston and next to Boston Common. It's close to everything! The apt is clean, exactly as described on the website, and has clean sheets and towels. The only downside is that the floor / ceiling is not very sound-proof. We could hear people above us walking around till late at night. Luckily they stopped moving around before midnight. Overall we had a great time staying in this apt!
Perfect location - right by Boston Common and easy access for the T to get anywhere in the city. Definitely loved staying here for a long weekend and would recommend!
We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment for our group of 8. The hosts were always quick to respond to our questions/requests from the time we booked until we checked out. This came in especially helpful when we had an issue storing our luggage when we arrived in Boston and had nowhere to leave our things while sightseeing all day. They provided amazing assistance to us at no charge which was awesome! We also found the location to be great—right across from Boston Common, very close to several subway stations, walking distance to shopping etc. We felt safe walking the area with our group which included both seniors and teenagers. Overall it was a great stay and we would highly recommend it.
Great location and beautiful rental!
Lots of room and great location. Very responsive to all requests.
Very clean place and the hosts were helpful with instructions and hospitality.
Great location and space. Overall it was an okay experience. After the initial reservation was made (months in advance), the host contacted me and asked if our unit can be changed to a different unit within the same apartment complex in order to accommodate the needs of another resident seeking medical treatment in Boston. We were fine with it given their circumstances. However, days leading up to the trip the host wanted us to change the unit once more and no reason was given. If we didn't accept the change, the alternative was to cancel the entire reservation. Although the unit we finally stayed at was larger, had more rooms and costed us no extra money, the constant change in the reservation was stressful. Furthermore, upon check-in, the unit was still being cleaned and we had to wait outside about 30 mins until it was ready. For these reasons, the unit wasn't thoroughly cleaned and felt "lived in". This review is only meant to convey our honest experience and is by no way intended to be nasty or cruel. Having said that, our beds were comfy and our stay in Boston was fun!
Great place to stay, booked this for a work trip for a week and it was awesome! Location is great, and it’s right next to blue bikes and public transportation. The place is super nice and modern. Would recommend friends to stay here for sure!
10/10 Would recommend!!! GREAT location, i can not stress how perfect this location is. Such a great size apartment. Clean, efficient! Great experience
Relaxed cozy apartment! We loved our weekend there, heather + Brian were very quick to answer any questions we had.
This apartment is in a central and amazingly historic location across from a beautiful park. It's convenient and safe. Great for families or groups visiting Boston. Close to transportation, shopping, and food. Super clean apartment with two full bathrooms that really come in handy if you have more than three guests. I can't wait to visit Boston again as well as recommend this apartment to friends and family.
Overall, a pretty good experience. I also stayed partially by myself at this place, and that definitely influenced my experience as well. However, beings that I was surprised by a few things, I felt compelled to share some details so that future guests are aware. Be prepared for very thin walls - I could hear the neighbors parties, but thankfully they didn’t seem to stay noisy past 11pm or midnight, and the homeless people yelling outside and across the street near the park seemed to calm down in the evening as well. There was one moment I was on a video call for work and I wondered if the person on the other end could hear the homeless guy outside yelling...but it didn’t seem to be an issue, just annoying. Because of those homeless people outside, I did not feel safe walking outside the apartment building by myself past dark. Which meant for the nights that I was alone in the apartment, I wasn’t going to walk to dinner but instead paid to take an Uber. I did appreciate though that there was a security guard on duty inside the entrance to the building. Regarding the apartment itself, it was beautifully styled and not completely empty, but you could tell they skimped on a few details. For example, in the smaller bathroom, the toilet paper holder kept falling off...in general fixtures were loose, appeared to be poor quality and/or did not appear to be professionally installed. These things just did not express quality. Some other details that were skimped on: - there was no tissues/Kleenex anywhere in the unit, which forced me to use what minimal toilet paper was available for my face. - No paper towels or napkins in the kitchen...thankfully my takeout delivery provided napkins. - Very little coffee supplies as well, and I was there for four nights and five days. - when they say “in unit laundry” - they have a washing machine, but no dryer. So be prepared to let things dry overnight. Thankfully there is ample space throughout the apartment to hang things to dry. The building itself had an unpleasant smell and appeared to not be in the best condition. The elevator has scuffs and marks all over the walls and stains on the carpet. I just want guests to know that while the apartment itself looks beautiful, the building is not in great condition and frankly, is kind of dumpy looking. Anyways, once again, the unit itself was nice in many ways, and the amount of space was awesome. For a larger group, the bedroom space and two full baths is great. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced and spacious place, and care about the stylish digs, this is a great place. I just hope these details help you feel more prepared in having reasonable expectations. PS - with this location, if you have a car, definitely use SpotHero’s app to reserve a parking spot in a nearby garage. It was a life saver!
Gorgeous space in an amazing location!
Run by a strict property management company. Came to stay with group of friends and we wanted to check in at noon on Saturday instead of 4pm to drop bags off but was told to add another night (Friday) an entire whole day prior to have that ability to check in early. Other than that, place was perfect, beautiful exposed brick, spacious - well kept. Great location next to everything pretty much. Cafe bonjour, a street over, highly recommended.
Perfect view , very clean and it’s a nice place
This was an amazing Airbnb rental! The decor of this home was very cozy and was centrally located to everything in Boston. We would have stood here much much longer if we did not have such a tight schedule.
Great location to explore Boston. There are many restaurants and conveniences that are literally right outside the front door. The home is comfortable and warm and the hosts responded to any question I had within minutes. I could not recommend this location more!
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
