The location of this apartment was ideal; however, our stay was overshadowed by a few issues. The heating system was inadequate, leaving the space uncomfortably cold during November's chilly Boston weather. The host provided two small portable heaters, but unfortunately, they were not sufficient to warm the apartment. Additionally, there was an issue with the fridge that required maintenance to address during our stay. When we requested a partial refund to account for these inconveniences, our request was ignored, and we had to escalate the matter to Airbnb for support. While the host was responsive initially, this lack of resolution was disappointing. We hope improvements are made for future guests.
This place is the perfect location in Boston!! We were able to walk everywhere. the apartment is really spacious, but does need some maintenance. Overall happy with our stay.
The Airbnb was in a great location, close to the T train lines and food spots like the Tradesman Coffee Shop. I also love Healing Homes’ mission & what they stand for. The host was responsive and tried to help with the thermostat issue, which we appreciated. However, the heat kept turning off, leaving us super cold at night. The bathtub also had drainage issues, & the handsoap bars they provided left a weird residue, and although it was mentioned that we should expect loud noise at night, it was much louder than expected—do bring earplugs to help you fall asleep! Finding luggage storage was a hassle as the recommended service, Bounce, was hidden in a random coffee shop. It would be helpful if we could drop off bags at the property for early arrivals from flights. Overall, while there were some challenges, the location was excellent, and I appreciate the host’s efforts, but a few improvements could help make this spot better and more worth it for the price that it is listed for.
The location and size of the apartment was perfect, very easy to reach everything we needed. Our only reservation on this apartment was the noise and brightness of the bedrooms- we have stayed in three cities in the last two weeks and this was the noisiest apartment (a challenge to do anything about we understand and the price of being central) but the curtains/blinds could definitely be upgraded to make the rooms darker for sleep. Apart from that, Thank you for a great stay.
Great location! Spacious and very clean.
Great stay while we were in Boston. Plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 bathrooms is always a plus! Keep in mind, this is on the 8th floor with a small, yet operational elevator. You’re also in the city, so if noise bothers you, recommend bringing earplugs or noise maker.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our unit was beautiful and it provided exactly what we needed for our stay. It was smack dab in the middle of downtown Boston. Never would have expected such a spacious unit in this location. 5 stars for sure and would totally come back!
The apartment is in a fantastic location. You’re within a couple miles of Boston’s most popular sites, and it’s very walkable. The space itself could use some a little maintenance. There was mildew in the bathtub/shower and a musty smell throughout the place. (To be fair, it’s in an old downtown building.) The apartment is on the top floor, and there is a small, old elevator. It’s big enough for one or two people, so it may take a couple trips depending on the size of your group a day the amount of luggage you have. There is a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, but no extras are included (i.e., no coffee). If you want coffee. If you want a cup of coffee on your first morning, be sure to pack some. There are also a few coffee shops within two or three blocks.
Definitely a noisy area as was said in prior reviews, but that is what happens when close to lots of restaurants and things to do in an old building. Heat wasn't working, but Steven responded quickly.
This apartment is fantastic. It’s in a really great spot and there’s a ton of things to do and a lot of great restaurants within a few minutes walk. It’s also an easy walk to both north station and south station. The apartment was very clean and exactly as described in the description. Steven had very clear instructions for check in and check out. I have no complains about this place and had a great time!
Great location. Close by parking garage and plenty of amenities within walking distance. Some of the finishes could use some attention, but it was a good value for two couples compared to hotel options.
Great place and an unexpected beauty was this apartment gives a portion of there profit to people in need of a place to stay when kids in hospital… I found that to be meaningful 😊
Minimalist, clean, terrific location, only problem was elevator was out of service for a chunk of the time we were there. Host always responded quickly.
The apartment is well-located and convenient for a stay in Boston. It is clean, if well worn, there are decent beds and the kitchen is well equipped. We did experience ongoing noise from air conditioning units in neighbouring buildings throughout the night which would be difficult for light sleepers. We would therefore recommend the apartment with these minor reservations.
Beware of hidden policies & fees. This place advertises as pet friendly, but after you book (non refundable) you’ll be asked to pay (separately!) $200/pet. This policy is “posted” not under the House Rules, which reads simply “pets allowed”, but under Additional Rules, click “show more” (scroll…) when you will eventually find the “pets policy”. I find this to be hugely deceptive, particularly where the fee is not charged upfront w/the booking Proceed with caution. They wouldn’t issue me a refund even though I requested one minutes after booking as I was obviously unaware of this hidden policy which almost doubled the cost of my booking. I would also note they have a later than usual check in (5:00) and you’ve got to check out by 10:00. In their check in/check out message they encouraged me to let them know if I left early and gave me a list of cleaning items I didn’t have to do but would appreciate. This experience was bad enough for me to swear off Airbnb for good.
Great place to stay in the downtown area.
good place in all.
The location was amazing. The place has great view of the streets around it. Perfect for a quick visit of Boston.
Nice place with a great location! Host was very responsive.
The space was a pleasant surprise, with two nice rooms, plenty of space to stretch out and the mattresses were very comfortable. I do think providing things like coffee (not just a coffee pot) and nicer shampoo/conditioner/soap (very motel-like quality) would be nice, but it's tough to complain when that's not really all that important to the actual stay.
Easy location - top floor so noise from the upstairs neighbors
Very clean, nice and pretty airbnb! We loved to stay there!
Steven’s place is exactly how it is described, everything was clean and in working order. The lift was out of order on our last 2 days of our visit and since it is an older building, we understand these things happen. As we checked out, we mentioned we had 4 large pieces of luggage and would need help down 8 flights of the winding staircase, if the lifts were still not working. The team arranged for someone to meet us at check out to help us with our luggage and thank goodness he came because we would have been lost without his help.
This was a great place to stay in Boston for our one night in town! We flew in for game #1 of the NBA finals and it was only about a 15 minute walk to the Garden with lots of great watering holes along the way. The unit is in an older apartment building so the elevator is quite small but beats walking up 8 flights of stairs. There were several cafes on the same street which were great to eat at, particularly on the morning we flew back out. We would certainly stay here again and recommend this apartment if your visiting Boston.
The apartment was great! Perfect location, clean and our hosts communicated very well and promptly before and throughout our stay.
Great location, walkable to everything.
The location is amazing, so many restaurants close by. The host is very responsive, it would have been great if there was a phone number to reach.
Excellent location! It’s an older place, but worked well for two people. All good
The location was perfect for our needs. The space was light and airy, and the beds were comfortable. Some basic convenience items were lacking, such as pen and paper, kitchen things such as aluminum foil, and the like, so plan accordingly. Thank you, Laura Craft
Great stay, excellent location! Walk to TD Garden, visit pubs on the way. Would recommend.
Great place, conveniently located. The only issue we had was with the dishwasher: we couldn't use it because it was leaking. I would suggest to add better blinds in the bedrooms to block the morning light.
Perfect location for walking around Boston. Steps away from Quincy Market, short walk to the Garden or the waterfront.
The apartment was in a great location and with pretty good views. It was exactly as described and I would stay again.
The place was as described in the downtown area walkable to all the places we wanted to go to as planned. Easy access and good location. Spacious living room makes it enjoyable.
We had a wonderful time staying here! It was easy to get too and lots to do around the area! Would highly recommend if you want a stress free place to stay!
The apartment was spacious. A bit on the cold side and the windows are kind of loose, but clean and great location!
Very nice place, looked exactly like the photos. Size was good, no fisheye stretching in the photos. Both bathrooms have a shower, which is super convenient. Be sure to bring an eye mask for sleeping in though, the curtains are white and it's fairly bright in the bedrooms in the morning.
Great house, great host and great location!
Other than the thermostat not working our last evening in town (a little chilly in January), the place was perfect. We were out and about the entire time anyway and the location was perfect.
A wonderful loft in the heart of Boston! I visited a friend of mine in the the city, and we rented this place for New Years. It is in a prime location. Everything is within walking distance. The loft itself, was spotless and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place to any potential travelers!
Great stay and location
This is a beautiful space with lots of space to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. The location was great with easy access to lots of sites. Not so great in the evening - downtown noise and would be careful venturing out like any city. Unfortunately the building is old and the heat went out while we’re there and electric space heaters were sufficient but not comfortable. There were other repairs needed as well so I just recommend you check on it. Steve was great to communicate with and tried his best to resolve the issues.
This apartment has everything you need to stay with 4 family members very easily. We really liked how incredibly local it was - super easy to find the T (public Transportation)!! The elevator is a huge help, but also the stair case is fun to run down...! We liked the super calm nights, no AC unit, Fire-engines, late bar leavers,e tc. Just super quiet and the shades are doing their job to keep any lights out! Steven, our host was always checking in if we needed anything , just to be sure all is well - adn in a very descrete way! We felt very well hosted!! Going forward it will be very easy to visit a family member recently moved to BOS, I will combine the visit of this in the charmeful city - due to this lovely apartment! Plenty of covers, pillows, sheets in case one decides to sleep on the couch. Again, the peacefullness, the calm during the entire stay (day &night) and yet, being in the middle of the city, also being high above is something fantastic! Wolf
Perfect location. Great communication. Accurate description. We had some issues with the heater, but Steven was very responsive and resolved. Thank you!
We stayed 3 nights for our teens Fall Break and could not have been happier! The location is off the charts - a 5 minute walk to Quincy Market! There is an amazing coffee shop around the corner Espresso Love, Bostonia was amazing dinner and also right there from the apartment. The apartment is set up so smart! The 2 bedrooms are on opposite ends from one another separated by the efficient galley kitchen, dining area and living room. Our son slept on the couch with no complaints and his sister had the bedroom. The 2 baths is a huge plus! The building is well kept and really neat. The owners are great to work with and very helpful. Check in and check out was a breeze! 3 full days was just enough to see everything. We hit the Tea Party museum, walking tour, Harvard & MIT, and the Hop on and Off Trolley. Only spot I would say is not worth it is eating at Union Oyster House. Wasn’t bad, just in comparison to all the other options was just meh We fell in love with Boston and will definitely be back!
Excellent location. Very happy with stay. Would definitely use again!
Right in the heart of the North End. This was an excellent home base.
This property was quiet, in an excellent location, had a well-equipped kitchen, nice dining and living area and good air conditioning. There was plenty of storage space, and the hosts were very responsive.
Property was in an excellent location for 4 adults wanting to experience Boston on foot. Easy access to subway to Fenway Park, fast ferry to Salem, trains at North Station and historical sites on foot. Plenty of cabs and ride sharing for transfer to/from Logan Airport. We experienced slight issues upon arrival but management company did the best they could with limited resources til next day. Please be prepared to use washer/dryer room outside of unit and provide own detergent and quarters to run them.
Amazing location in Downtown Boston for our weekend getaway! Lots of parking options extremely close to the apartment building, great restaurant options just across the street and a 4 min walk to Quincy Market. Would definitely recommend for adults with infants and if available, book again for our next trip.
Excellent property. Friendly and prompt communication. Would stay again.
Great apartment in walking distance to all sightseeing places and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the place had a lot of room for a city apartment. We were extremely happy with the place.
Awesome location and cool rooftop area
This property was in the perfect location For everything you need to see and experience in Boston! Loved the beds and the view from the window. The owners were very responsive and helpful!
Clean and at a great location. I would stay here again.
A great experience top to bottom. Would definitely book again!
We spent 2 nights in Boston on our way to Maine. The apartment was spacious, super clean and in a great location within walking distance of many Boston landmarks, and restaurants of all types. Would definitely return
Great building in great location. Apartment was as described. Would love to come back.
Bathroom toilet does not work. I find it highly pricy for the restricted time schedule for checking and checkout. I would therefore not stay in this place as hotels do better for the same price. How on earth you force people out by 10am on a Sunday ?????? I politely asked for an extent iin for check i. place and got no answe instead of what ai knew already - 5pm to 10am. Not cool, noy event an effort to accommodate 1/2 hour late check out.
I really loved my stay here.
Everything was great beside the not working elevator and the place was at the top floor. 8 flights of stairs….
We had a terrible experience. The apartment was was advertised as a building with an elevator. However, just a few hours before arriving there we were notified that we are on the 8th floor and the elevator is NOT working. We are not young people, with luggage, and the owner just said this is being taken care of. We had to climb 8 flights of spiral narrow stairs with our luggage! Inspite of constantly promising to take care of this major problem, for 4 days there was no work done to fix the issue. The owner must own the whole building, as every morning we saw multiple angry families with their luggage in front of the place frantically trying to reach someone. This became a huge difficulty and inconvenience for us, and we basically had to change all our schedule so that we had to stay all day outside and just come back at night, to avoid climbing 8 floors multiple times a day. We could't get any rest during the day and it really damaged our vacation. No compensation was offered. Beware!
Highly recommend
We felt comfortable staying at the place, and it's very convenient to Downtown crossing where you have lots to see and eat.
Had a nice stay with my family and they loved it.
This a nice clean place to sleep in a great location. We also really appreciate loaning us a pack-and-play for our baby. The apartment itself is mediocre. Oven door does not shut; closet missing a clothes rod; front door latch broken; dresser knobs loose; and sink drips to name a few. None of this impacted our stay but cannot give the apartment an excellent rating. It was a solid 4 stars.
Great location! Very walkable- close to the aquarium, the greenway and lots of historic sites. Check in was easy and convenient. The elevator is very small however, our stroller didn’t fit without fully folding it, a minor inconvenience for us, but something to note for families. The kitchen is small but doable and much appreciated with a family. We needed more trash bags and could have used a few more glasses, but we probably ate at the apartment more than the average guest with all those amazing restaurants close by. We suggest a broom and dust pan be provided. We had a great trip and would stay again!
Can’t beat the location if you plan to visit main tourist attractions downtown - it’s all within walking distance. Fast internet and nice smart TV. There are spots that need minor repairs (e.g. interior doorknob, baseboard heating panels), but the location, kind responsiveness of the host, and their mission more than make up for that. Tip for travelers with small kids or those who turn in early - during the week, the area is quiet at night, but on weekends it’s quite noisy. Bring ear plugs and/or a sound machine if you’re there F-Sa.
Steven’s place is great. The location is extremely convenient. Have read some comments about the heating system, We visited the place in March and everything was good. You have so many restaurants near by. I recommend this place
Family of 4, visiting Boston for the first time. Great location in financial district, close to everything and very walkable. Although on the 8th floor, tons of street noise in the middle of the night, every night. We didn’t discover fan until last day, which would have helped make some white noise. We had to call to get the heat turned on, but once we did, no problem there. Team was responsive, but we had to follow up with them to get feedback on fixing some kitchen issues. One of the burners on stove would not turn off and over did not work. Kitchen could use some more items, passed those along already. I thought check in time of 5pm was not very reasonable and had to pay $50 to check in at 2. Was able to extend check out time by 1 hour to 11am free of charge, but more flexibility would have been nice. Overall, the apartment was fine, I would try a different neighborhood b/c of noise. But if you want to be close to bars and plan to be out late, it would be ideal.
Our first trip to Boston was great, and having a place to stay located to close to everything we did was awesome!
Location was great for walking to places. Every night, all night, there is a great amount of drunken street noise that can be heard on the 8th floor. Drapes and blinds do nothing for outside light. Woke up many times due to noise thinking the sun was coming up to find out it was 2 am. Common area coach and chair were adequate but not made for sitting very long. Radiator floor heat appeared to work but looked like a train wreck. Found a deodorant cap in the window by the dining room table? Unit smelled musty like mildew, even bought an air freshener. We did not contact management on these issues as there is no way to correct while we are there. Interior doors had some screws holding them together. Our stays are usually resort areas and not downtown big cities. Maybe our expectations were too great. Unit and building were nice, stunning hard wood floors. A little money spent refreshing this unit would go a long ways.
I was very excited to stay here. The airbnb itself was gorgeous - just like the photos. However, there were immense issues. Firstly, I showed up and the elevator was broken. The unit was on the 8th floor. No notice was given about the elevator issue. One of my guests recently had a heart surgery so he could not walk up eight flights of stairs. I had to find another arrangement for him to stay due to how dangerous it was for him to walk up stairs. I contacted the host and he seemed unapologetic. Secondly, we did not have water for a day and a half. No shower, no running water, no toilet use. We had to go to somewhere else to do something as simple as use the bathroom. The host did not communicate that there was apparently “an internal water repair” that was lasting a long period of time. No communication. The host said sorry for the “inconvenience” for no running water. Ridiculous. After the water was finally back on, the toilets still did not work. The host did nothing. Absurd.
Stayed here with another couple and it was near perfect! Beautiful, walkable, spacious, we loved it. My only warning is the elevator stopped working after our first day so we had to walk 8 flights of spiral stairs up and down for majority of our stay, including our luggage when we left. We were able to manage just fine but I’m sure this might be a deal breaker for some folks.
Steven made my experience in Boston 10xs better with this apartment. Easy to find when you’re coming home from the bar😂. Complete space to yourself. Great area. One issue I had tho, was the location of the trash area…it’s right outside the door and when it starts to smell…it’s not horrible, just use some air freshener. But other than that one tiny thing, everything else was great. If I come back to Boston, I will honestly be looking to see if I can get this place again.
We enjoyed our stay in Boston! Several reviews said the unit was very difficult to keep warm. We did not experience this. Before we arrived, a team member actually went into the unit and checked on the heating to ensure it was working properly. Although we did not need them, there were several space heaters and a fan in the closets for use. The unit was very clean and as advertised. That being said, it is an old building. So expect some things to come along with it being a historical building! Some of the things I am referring to are a tiny elevator, older style heating elements running along the baseboards, and a couple of drafts around the windows. The area was great. Only a short walk to the T station. We barely needed to use the T while there. There was plenty to eat and see within walking distance, even in the bitter cold (wind chills felt like -17!). It is a quiet area during the day, but it got a little loud at night. Just use a sound machine app!
This was an amazing apartment in a great location. So easy to either walk or ride the train to anywhere in the city. Gorgeous apartment, really cool rooftop. Very clean. Loved our stay.
This place is fine for the price. I had read in previous reviews that the heat was an issue so I messaged and ensured it was working before booking. I was disappointed when we did not have heat our first night and we were not compensated for this. It seems like this is a reoccurring issue because space heaters were in all of the closets. The apartment is spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Great location in the heart of Boston but if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs because you can hear street noise especially on weekends. The kitchen has a coffee maker which is a plus. I probably won’t book this place again because the heating was too temperamental and running so many space heaters seems like a fire hazard.
The room is large, the location is good, and it is easy to find food around. I like the kitchen, it's wonderful. I think the heating is not enough, but it is not cold at night.
Neat and clean place, close to a lot of things in downtown Boston. My grandmother and I enjoyed our stay.
This was such a beautiful stay. Everything was just as described, and we felt so blessed to get to stay here and were encouraged by the mission of Healing Homes. Thank you.
My friends and I stayed at this property and we couldn’t stop talking about how perfect this place was. The unit itself was great, as well as the location. The unit was very spacious and we had plenty of room. It was also very clean and it had great views of the city. Instructions to get inside were very clear. Steve was also very responsive. In regards to the location, it couldn’t be more perfect! Walking distance to practically everything, as well as a short walk to get to a train station (which we hardly needed anyway). In one direction is Faneuil Hall, and the north end. The other direction is Seaport and in another direction is Boston common. This place was pretty central to everything, and there were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within the vicinity. There was also a great local coffee shop across the street where we would get our coffee and pastries every morning. We definitely recommend Steve’s place and would stay here again whenever back in Boston! 👌🏽
Really friendly host and amazing apartment! The building itself is quite old as you can tell from the elevator, but we felt very safe staying in it. Steven was nice to let us check in a bit early than usual, and we really appreciate him for it. The heating in the apartment, however, was broken and we had to use a portable heater the entire time.
Nice apartment for a quick stay. Although I prefer the back Bay Area, this apartment was centrally located between waterfront and back bay areas. We asked for an early check in and late check out and that wasn’t a problem! Great communication when apartment wasn’t cleaned yet upon arrival and cleaners where there within 10 min. Either the heat was broken or we didn’t know how to turn on but there were small portable units that worked out fine. And since there was portable units it leads me to believe this has happened before. The area is a little loud at night on weekends at least but I put on sleep sounds and slept ok. There are lots of good restaurants and historical places in the area. Overall I would recommend staying in this Boston apartment.
A well maintained apartment in a central location. Close to restaurants and eateries. Felt safe to be out and about in. Easy entry and exit. The apartment is spacious with windows all around providing a lot of natural light. No noise from neighboring apartment dwellers. Beds had very clean sheets and clean towels were provided. Bathrooms are in decent shape. Seemed to have run out of hot water on one morning but no problem on other days. Portable heaters came in handy for localized heating and to stay warm. The iron and board was also very handy and a washer/dryer is very close. Audible street noise in the main bedroom is the only negative of this 8th floor apartment and likely so for all apartments in downtown. The streets are not auto-traffic busy at all but the limited traffic from service vehicles and the people noises they converse while walking penetrates into the apartment and the occasional noisy vehicle is quite disturbing. I do like the apartment and the location.
We could not be happier with our accommodations. This apartment was everything we hoped it would be. The location was amazing and we were very pleased with the communication. Every question we had was answered properly. We will definitely be staying here the next time we visit Boston.
Location was awesome. Be We could walk everywhere downtown. Finding overnight parking was hard because the street signs warn about street cleaning but not what days. Place was clean with minimal amenities. Check in was at 5pm and check out was at 10am, but early check in and later check out were offered with a fee which felt like price gouging.
Really clean and great location. It is a spacious apartment and has everything you will need. Felt really safe and the apartment was very comfortable, a nice home away from home. Instructions were on point and communication was great, no issues and easy check-in/check-out. Would recommend and would stay again 😊
The location is amazing. Apartment is on the eighth floor with amazing views. Our only complaint is that the trash bin is right outside of the front door causing a horrible smell. Besides that the apartment is clean, nice , and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!!!!
We stayed here since we had a wedding on State Street. It was the perfect place, location and space, for our very quick trip to Boston. The building had very special details between the mail shoots and staircase designs. There is a small elevator like you’d expect in any older building in any Northeast city. We stayed here with a four and one year old, and it was a quick walk to the Aquarium and playground. Would recommend!
Great place. Cool building! Super location.
This a great place to stay in downtown Boston! The apartment was clean and comfortable. It is located just a couple blocks from the Aquarium stop on the T's blue line and within walking distance of many points of interest. Unlike what has been mentioned in some other reviews, we had no problem getting hot water. Like many other big cities, accomodation prices in downtown Boston are high, but we thought this apartment was fairly priced and a great bang for the buck. I highly recommend this accommodation.
Beautiful place, bigger than I expected, tons of cute restaurants and cafes around, perfect location. Comfortable beds and soft sheets. Great communication with owner. If you’re a coffee drinker, bring some with—there is a pot but there wasn’t any coffee or pods (they aren’t advertised as having any, but I know sometimes they do so just wanted to give a heads up)! We would stay again for sure!
Great stay. Great location.
Very comfortable apartment and great location. Easy walk to most to areas from the Commons to North End to South Wharfs.
Location, cleanliness, roominess, comfortable beds, etc… made this an excellent place for a 3 day visit to Boston to go to game at Fenway and visit the sites! Check-in was efficient and host was prompt with all communications! Would definitely stay here again.
The Healing Crew was incredibly responsive and very accommodating. The unit was as described and location was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and the building was very cute. That said, we found the beds to be very comfortable and that was a major plus!
Great stay! Location was fantastic
Great space! The location is perfect! Boston is a walking city, and this location is a perfect place to start. Super clean and quiet. Window ACs worked perfect for our summer visit. Water pressure in shower, amazing! I would absolutely stay here again.
All was good! The beds were comfortable, it was clean, the location was great, everything worked. My only advice is to read the cancelation policy very carefully.
Great location for everything we wanted to do in Boston. The communication with the host was quick, friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location, soft comfortable bedding, easy access.
Excellent location!!! Very clean unit with nice furnishings!
Perfect location for seeing downtown Boston.
Right in the center of things. Great apartment and so easy!
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! This place was just what our family needed. Two blocks from the water, a few blocks from Faneuil Hall, and a few blocks from the T stop. This was absolutely priceless for the kids to get out on the town and be able to quickly and easily get back for a rest and recharge, so they could get back out and explore again. Also very clean, and great communication! I’d absolutely rent is flat again.
Prime location. Clean. Comfortable beds. Fast and efficient communication from hosts.
Great location! Everything we needed for quick trip to the city!
Apartment was as described, very nice that bedrooms are separated by the living/dining area if traveling with friends. linens, pillows, soap, shampoo, etc. all necessities that would be expected are included. plenty of hot water during our stay, granted it is July. parking lot right next to building is reasonably priced in comparison to other lots in the area. close to the wharf, Faneuil hall, government center. fast communication from Steven and his crew. easy to get in, great directions. elevator worked fine but is super small even for in the city. will definitely stay again.
Great stay! Exactly what we needed for our work trip to Boston :) We will definitely re-book for our future work trips!
Was a lovely stay and excellent location!
Fabulous location. The apartment is close to everything. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. The apartment had everything we needed.
Super great location and very comfortable condo.
Great location! Quick response right away when I messaged. Place was clean and comfortable- would definitely recommend!
Great location! Easy access to everything. Either walking or taking the subway. The place was very clean and we have to say the beds were very comfortable.
Great location easy in and out, very clean
Steven and his team were flexible, supportive and accommodating. The property was clean and exactly as presented.
The apartment is not well kept. I wouldn't stay here again.
Accurately advertised.
Great location, clean and plenty of space!
Really cozy place!
Extremely responsive once I booked, provided clear instructions, and was very quick to reply. The place was just as advertised and all-in-all it was a great experience.
We had a wonderful stay at the apartment which was located in a great location in Boston.the place was very clean, spacious, and bright. The location is amazing and so close to some of Boston's main attractions and iconic neighborhoods. The communication with the host was super easy and helpful. I highly recommend!!!
Overall great experience. Room was clean and spacious, had most amenities available. Close proximity to most attractions. Highly recommend staying here.
Space is just as pictured. I missed check in was at 5pm and just shocked it’s $50 extra for early check in, so after a day of travel and meetings I would have loved to collapse when I was out at 4pm, but couldn’t tack on more work expenses. The apartment is simple and clean, bed comfortable. Apt is right downtown, so it was loud till about 10pm then quieted down, nothing I couldn’t sleep through and interesting to hear the city at that hour. I did have the hot water issue others talked about, it was a lukewarm shower in the morning. This was great for my needs for work meetings, location to financial district is perfect— and I get Boston prices right now are crazy, but I can’t say the price seemed equitable to the simplicity. Would have loved a coffee maker, etc. But hey work foot the bill. I was last minute booking and this was not a disappointment, clean, secure and easy to check in.
This place is wonderful, clean and in a convenient location We will def be back
Our stay was enjoyable! The location is 5-stars but a few things made it a 4-star experience. Primarily the water temp in the shower was a bit lacking and we could have benefitted from a few more onsite linens (ie extra sheet). Had we not brought our own one of our guests would have been without. The hosts are very responsive and communication was great as well! No issue with check-in/check-out. Recommend parking in the garage on Well Street. It was very convenient and nearby. Tasty coffee shop right around the corner too. I would certainly stay again and recommend it for two couples or three individuals.
Great host, wonderful location from other sightseeing places and attractions.
This was a great place to stay in a convenient location in the financial district. It’s on the top floor of a narrow old building and is pretty quiet considering the busy neighborhood. It’s not the most up-to-date in terms of finishing and appliances, but it has all the basics and is comfortable, especially given the small size of the unit. The decoration is tasteful and there are lots of small windows so you get some good light. There is a set of coin-operated laundry machines right outside the unit. I did not see any extra blankets and there is no dedicated desk / workspace, and the hot water was indeed finicky (and one of the bathrooms only has a shower option). The internet was also pretty slow. The checkin process was super easy with keypad entry, and the management team was friendly and responsive. I definitely enjoyed staying here! Bonus: if you’re into historical architecture, the building is super fun, with spiral staircases, an old mail slot system, a tiny elevator, and murals in the entryway.
Great place, superb location. Fantastic service if you had any questions or ran into any issues. Highly recommend, we will stay here again.
Wonderful, central location. Easy walking distance to many parts of Boston. Some reviewers mentioned cold water, but we had a group of four stay for several nights and really didn’t have much of an issue with this - it happened maybe one morning to one person and never in the evening. Kitchen was perfect for a several day stay. Would go back!
Great location and perfect stay for a girls trip! Easy check in and very clean.
The perfect location for any traveler. Clean and neat and great light since it’s the top floor.
Great location, nice living space and bedrooms! We had to kill a couple bugs in the bathroom, but otherwise was a wonderful stay
This apartment was perfect for our stay in Boston for St Patty’s. It was the perfect location, just a quick walk to everything. The beds were cozy and the view of the city was amazing.
Great location and very clean!
Really fantastic flat. Very comfortable and central. Highly recommended.
Steven’s place was exactly what we were needing and expecting! Great location. Only bummer was that the unit is on the 8th floor with a winding staircase and the elevator was broken. Made for mini workouts throughout our stay. Steven was timely and informative with communications and we’d stay again!
What an excellent location!! We were in walking distance to everything- museums, the aquarium, and so many amazing restaurants, bars, and shopping! The apartment was very clean and had everything you could possibly need in it. Comfy beds, good temperature, and there was every streaming service on the TV which was great! Steven was very responsive and check in was easy. We found a parking garage very close by. It is an old building and the elevator doesn’t work. Our place was on the 8th floor so we got a good work out which I didn’t mind after all the eating we did haha!! But just something to be aware of if you are elderly or disabled. Overall we had a wonderful time and would love to come back!
Absolutely fantastic apartment. Everything we needed for our visit to Boston
This place is the worst Airbnb I have ever stayed in and I have been with Airbnb for almost 10 years as a guest and also as a long standing super host. No heat, nor any real attempt to fix it until 1 hr prior to our 10am checkout ( we stayed 2 nights ). The temps were in the single digits. We found one extra blanket which was soiled with either blood, feces, or vomit or some combination of the three. It was a biohazard and my husband removed it from the unit and put it behind the trash barrels which are located in the hall just outside the entry door. The place smelled awful, likely due to the blanket and or the trash barrels. There was exposed wiring two feet off the floor and the security chain was broken so there was no way to secure the entry door from the inside. Anyone with the code could enter at any time. Reached out to the host on many occasions just to be told that they are either "working on it" or that they did not have anyone on call. We tried to find another place but given that our car was in a prepaid garage and that the weather was not suitable to haul our children and belongings across the city, we did not, as again we were told that the issues were being addressed. Just a nightmare !!
This apartment offered great views of FiDi and it was very cozy! The beds are extremely comfy and the shower offers really hot water if you need it! Being on the top floor was nice because you don’t have to deal with loud neighbors and even with the street work that was going on the one day, it all just sounded like background noise! Although the check in time (5pm) wasn’t ideal for when we landed (9am), we managed pretty well! There are plenty of T stations around and a short walk to the commons.
This place was very well located!!! You don’t honestly even need to take any public transportation even though plenty is around if you choose. I will give you heads up now though that it’s kinda loud with city noise sometime but not enough to keep us up. They do provide a white noise machine if needed in the rooms. The space is perfect for 4 people. Just a heads up though the water can sometimes not be hot or even warm if too many people are simultaneously using up the hot water in the building. I would recommend this place to stay even with its quirks :)
Incredible place!
A great, clean, well-located apartment. Highly recommend!
My group and I had a great stay here! Would highly recommend and location was close to a lot of main attractions.
We loved staying here! With three little kids, it was more than enough room for us. We truly enjoyed our stay here and the hosts were extremely helpful and available.
Great location. Apartment was nice.
Great location and very clean. It was a bit nippy but they gave us some extra blankets.
Nice house with great layout. Good experience overall.
Great place to stay
It was the perfect location to get around Boston. We’ll definitely be back!
This place works! It is in a great location to many restaurants, bars and attractions. Quick to get to the harbor or Quincy Market. A good close parking lot was on State Street. The apartment is very basic and does not offer waters, Netflix, etc. Only mention as advice to plan ahead... Overall, fine stay!
Great location and walking distance to tons of attractions, historical sites, and lots of great restaurants and shopping areas. The space was great for 4 adults and the furniture was comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend the area and the host!
Amazing location! So many great things walking distance. Nice spacious 2 bedroom. Easy check in and check out. We will be looking for this place again when visiting Boston.
Awesome location and a great host. Steven was very accommodating for us, and location ours you close to everything.
If you are traveling Boston by foot then this is the location for you. We walked everywhere (also had a T pass.) The open areas are spacious and the windows are great. The second bedroom is small and better for children or 1 person. The elevator is small and slow, so understand there is no "rushing" down in it. Roof view was great. The heat was not working while we were there, but we had some great weather. Communication with Steven was easy and they followed up regarding any concerns. All in all, we had a great time.
The apartment location is amazing. We walked and took the T all over the city. The apartment itself was not that awesome and if you are picky about appearance this will not be the place for you. But if you plan to be out and about, like we were, this apartment worked out great.
Perfect in every way, an absolute gem in the heart of the city - perfect for your Boston sight-seeing trip!
Great location! Photos match the listing !
Good location, and 2 separate bathrooms which was great. Few amenities and a little more no-frills than originally expecting.
We would not stay here again. The one good thing was the location. But the building itself is very old, it is hot and it smelled awful from the minute we got in the building and until we got to the apartment. The hall directly outside of apartment 802 was lined with large garbage bins and the smell was awful (also, those bins block the fire escape). The unit did not have air conditioning and was very hot. When I contacted Stephen to ask about air conditioning he was very rude and basically told me to live with it and if I complained they would cancel our reservation and we’d be forced to find another place to stay. He even stated that they would cancel the reservation if I didn’t respond to him with this exact phrase he put in quotes “we are fine with the fans, thank you for bringing them over”. I am sure the purpose of this was so he could dispute our bad rating, but this is flat out wrong to bully people knowing we really don’t have another option but to stay. Our schedule did not allow us time to look for another place, plus the cost would have been outrageous. We elected to stay and they said they would bring fans. They brought two small desk fans and told us to open windows. Most of the windows did not have screens or could not be opened. We found one window with a screen that could be opened. Luckily our itinerary was so full we didn’t have to stay in the apartment very. I would not recommend this place.
This is a clean and comfortable space very near some excellent Boston attractions. The apartment was spotless and our host was very communicative. Kitchen is stocked with the basic utensils and appliances and the apartment is close (about .5 mi) to a fantastic grocery store, so we were able to easily cook up great “homemade” meals. Looking forward to staying here again!
This is a perfect location. You can walk to everything. The apartment is very nice & the beds are very comfortable. Many good restaurants are just steps away. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great! This location was walking distance to all the stuff we wanted to do - Freedom Trail, Northend, T stations, Faneuil Hall. The apartment was clean and the roof access was a nice amenity. The elevator was fun too !
This place is great! The location is ideal, and the space is comfortable.
The location is perfect! Two seconds to Faneuil Hall and walkable to do many things. The apartment has a great layout and is super clean. We stayed with two small kids and it was perfect for our family.
This was my first bad experience on Airbnb. Part of the reason is understandable - it is impossible to find good cleaning people right now, but this place was dirty. I found hair everywhere - in the shower, on the couch, on the floor. Worse, when we checked in, there was some soap at the kitchen sink - and that was it. Nothing in the bathrooms or showers. If I owned this property, I would have personally driven it over - but instead, housekeeping brought soap 24 hours later. And some additional towels, because we had exactly four for four people. The "fully functioning kitchen" is NOT: the oven door does not close and, while there may be some pots and pans, there is NOTHING else. No olive oil, no aluminum foil, not even salt and pepper. And I requested an aero bed - it was never delivered during our four-night stay. The place is not as nice as it looks - there is barely any light in the bathrooms (no chance if you're looking to put on makeup), there was cardboard in the window next to the AC, blinds were broken, etc. On the plus side, location is amazing. But these owners could have - should have - been responsive and addressed these issues with something beyond a meek apology. I would not stay there again.
Great location - we enjoyed walking to Boston common, the Science Museum, Beacon Hill, North End, etc. It was super clean and very roomy. Host was very responsive with our last minute booking as well.
Fantastic location. Plenty of room with a good layout. Beds were comfortable with good shower pressure. Kitchen had what we needed. We loved being close to Faneuil Hall, The Waterfront and Little Italy. I was surprised how dirty the streets outside the apt and in the area were. Bring eye masks and ear plugs. There are no proper curtains to block the light so it is bright all night. It was hard to sleep with the light esp when the sun came up and being in the city, it can be noisy in the late hours.
Great place in downtown Boston. Broken elevator was tough since we were on the 8th floor. Very small and old elevator. Wouldn’t recommend if you have mobility issues
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great- close to a lot of great bars and touristy sites- the warehouse bar was great and so conveniently close. The apartment was very quiet and the beds were comfy. One thing to note is the elevator is very small, gets very hot, and our group got stuck in it on the 8th floor for 30 minutes one night. We were able to contact the host and the maintenance person was able to help us out.
Steven’s apartment was a great stay! The location is super central. It’s right in the financial district and steps away from prime attractions (ie Faneuil Hall, the Aquarium, Seaport, etc). The apartment itself was very spacious, clean and well maintained. For anything we needed during our stay, the host was very quick to respond and accommodate. It is a top floor apartment (there is an elevator) and was quiet - we didn’t really hear any neighbors. Overall it was a perfect place to stay for our Boston visit.
Great location, clean apartment, and accurate photos! We had a great stay in Boston and the apartment was perfect for what we were looking for.
Absolutely immaculate. Great location. Very responsive host and extremely accommodating of all of our needs. Strongly recommend
I would not recommend staying here. One of the bedrooms did not have AC which made it very uncomfortable during our June stay. The fridge/ freezer also did not work. There were many other things broken that I had to report so that I was not responsible. While Brian, Stevens helper was responsive, they were not able to send anyone to fix the problems. Take your money elsewhere.
great location for center city and the historic district
great time! Fully outfitted to have a great time!
Great condo and location.
Excellent host, quick to respond to any questions/issues. Place was beautiful, location INCREDIBLE, would definitely recommend.
Overall we had OKAY living expectations. The only thing that we were very upset is being told ONLY Couples Hours ago before heading to the place that there is an ENTERING FEE per person if our friends or other people like delivering guys entering our house without staying overnight…. Honestly if we knew after Booking right away we would cancel it But at least tell customers earlier ASAP so we would not feel uncomfortable or NOT being RESPECTED…. ALSO when we arrived the Elevator is NOT WORKING should let us know beforehand since my feet is not convenient….. I would only give 1 star for the stay but they responded messages fast to deal with the Elevator issue and offering another place few blocks away to switch the place so we still have place to go and stay Without Climbing up to 8 FLOORS…
Steven’s Boston apartment was a great spot for our weekend trip! It was in a very convenient location with tons of bars and restaurants near by that was walking distance. The apartment was very clean and spacious. You will love staying here!
The location of this place is awesome! Very close to Faneuil Hall and other great Freedom Trail sites. Building had great character too. The place was clean and had super comfy beds!
Apartment was a good size and a very comfortable space. The location was great and pretty quiet at night. The amenities were basic but were satisfactory. The kitchen was nice to have. There were blinds missing on some of the windows. A couple of listed amenities were not found (wine glasses and extra sheets) but to be fair, we didn’t reach out to ask as we were able to do without those items. Overall, were happy with the stay there. Thank you Steven!
Great location and nice space. Steven was very responsive to any and all questions.
Great location and owner responded quickly to any questions we asked! Will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future Boston trips
Amazing stay in the heart of Financial District. Would love to stay here again.
convenient location in the city in the top floor of a beautiful classic building with lots of architectural details. good water pressure and great linens!
super cute space in a great location!! loved staying here!
It was my second time staying in one of their apt and I enjoyed it. I recommend this place 100%
Easy check in and check out. Apartment was clean and made us feel safe. Prime location- walkable to anything you want to do. We parked at post office square for $27 for the whole weekend (a couple blocks from apartment). One of the showers was very loud, but fine to use. Rooftop was a nice touch but not an official rooftop. Elevator exists but was broken while I was leaving (I had to carry suitcase down 8 flights of stairs). Other than that it was a great stay!
Very good location and large space! Relatively no frills, but a comfortable experience!
Great location . Dirty bed sheets . Hair within the sheets . Sheets were clearly not washed
Great apartment in a great location, and everything was super tidy and clean! Would love to stay again
While the location was great, but during covid times we expected more cleanliness, more sanitizing and hand wash products. The toilet paper was very cheap quality for the Airbnb price. The bathroom shower was like a sprinkler and not a real shower and when the shower was on it was so loud it woke up everybody. The living room didn’t have proper air conditioning and the temperature was at 78F all the time. The bedrooms had air conditioning but they were too loud and wouldn’t let you sleep while night. The host really needs to make some changes in that apartment.
This apartment was spacious, very simple, and in a good location. The beds were very comfortable! I found the cost to be a bit expensive for being in such an old building as well as having no AC in the common areas (which I don’t recall seeing in the description). Overall the location was great and we enjoyed our stay!
Great communication from start to finish. The apartment was very clean and everything I expected. I would recommend this stay to any future guests. Great location and near the heart of the city.
Very clean and very quick responses. Really neat location in financial district with parking garage a block away. Minimal amenities but fine for business or quick stay.
GREAT LOCATION. Quick to respond. Would stay again
Steven is an awesome host Fast communication place was worth every single penny Check in was smooth as butter my trip experience at Stevens listing was way better then I expected also the area was man spot on! Booking again real soon Thanks Steven!
Great location, very clean & fast replies to any issues or questions. Only complaint is that it’s very hot in the living room since there’s no A/C’s except in bedrooms.
Nice place to stay in Boston! Very easy of access, the hosts gave clear indications.
This place was amazing. The only con was some dirty towels when we checked in. But Steven resolved that issue instantly, and I could not make another complaint if I wanted to. The kitchen had everything, bathrooms were perfect, beds comfortable, couch and tv all in top form. The location is fantastic. If I could pay monthly rent to stay in a place like this, it would be a dream. I cannot reccomend staying here for any visit to Boston enough. A huge thank you to Steven and his team for their hospitality.
Steven home is ideally located, was cozy, and clean. It is a home away from home.
Great location, steps from the heart of Boston and the Freedom trail.
Very central location. Would stay again
Great location, would recommend!
The space was extremely clean and in a good location. There is a convenient parking garage next to the building, although parking is not included. During our stay the thermostat did not work but the host was responsive in rectifying the situation.
Our stay was excellent. Getting in was very easy but still secure. Bridget, Steven, and Nils were welcoming and professional. The location of the apartment could definitely not be beat. Thanks again!
Space was great, pretty comfortable beds and nice open living area. There’s a demolition of a building going on currently 1.5 blocks away, so there’s some noise at night that’s not ideal, but obviously totally out of the host’s control. They very nicely provided sound machines, earplugs, etc to combat this. Would recommend for an extended stay in the city nonetheless, it was ideal for our work week in Boston.
Great apartment. Amazingly comfortable beds!
A nice location. Nice roomy space inside. AirBnB description is very accurate. We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to stay home and cook with old friends ????
The place is definitely clean and the location is great. I did not find it to be too noisy (considering the downtown location). The furniture is not great, a couple of the chairs were very wobbly and one side of one of the beds sinks so deep that you can’t sleep there. Bridget was quick to answer most of my questions. I would stay again if furniture is replaced!
Place was great for my weekend trip to Boston. Clean, great location, and hosts were very quick to reply to the couple questions I had.
The location of this property can not be beat! It is such a cute and charming building with an amazing spiral staircase and a wonderful little elevator. Parking lot is behind the building if needed(additional charge)! We loved the restaurants and sites around the home. The Schlage locks on the doors are super easy to use! The pictures are accurate and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen is nicely appointed. The home could use some sprucing up as it felt a bit bare bones. The hosts were focused on charging extra money for early/late check-ins and the use of an air mattress. We had a booking issue and they did not accommodate, it was our error but we acknowledged it within 2 hours of booking a month in advance. This is a great place to stay if you'd like to walk around Boston- we walked all over town and enjoyed our proximity to many different spots in the city!
This was a perfect place for two couples! Inexpensive parking down the street and great location for all of our favorite restaurants and bars! The apartment was just the right size and had everything necessary for comforts of home. ??. We will definitely be back!
Lovely place in an excellent location!
The apartment was very clean, spacious and the location is fantastic. There were a couple of concerns that were immediately addressed by hosts.
Seriously cannot beat the location! You can walk to everything from this apartment! The check in/out was smooth and easy. Everything was clean and well put together. Would stay here again!
Bridget was a great and communicative host and her apartment was in a super convenient location and wonderfully comfortable and clean!
Right in the heart of Boston next to all the historic sites and a great place to stay. Great value and perfect for work or pleasure
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
