The apartment was perfect for us, a family of four plus our dog. Plenty of space, comfy beds, great locatíon. We would definitely stay there again.
Great place that was easily walkable to all of downtown.
Great place. Super cute & homey. Walkable too.
Notes in cleanliness. Post prior to our visit and ask if he posted his description had indeed been completed.. It absolutely had not been. The actual condition of the unit was worse . There was amoldy coffee pot, dilapidated and falling apart heating registers, water and mold stains the the bolt on the front door had been removed so anyone with the code could enter at anytime (not acceptable when traveling with children whose rooms would have been the first two beds encountered). Old beds with a sheet and a paper thin blanket.
Easy check-in. Great location.
The apartment was large & comfortably fit 4 people. The location was amazing & very close to most anything you want, and public transit was a short walk. Communication from the host was fast & we loved that we were able to opt for early check-in time. The only criticism is that the apartment & building main areas was described as "luxury" & priced that way, but there were many details that needed updating like, water spots in ceiling, light fixtures torn from the walls then left unrepaired, water damaged floor in living room that we tripped over, the bathrooms need to be completely renovated due to wear & moisture damage. Don't get me wrong, the place was overall great & we would stay again if we had a group. The layout allows for privacy & you can't beat the amazing location. Highly recommend!
This apartment is all about the location. And it has that. Serious maintenance is needed for the asking price. Some furniture was falling apart (the writing desk) and uncomfortable. The parquet floor was coming apart in large chunks. The temp inside the apartment was in the 80s despite repeated requests. It was difficult to sleep, let alone lounge or eat meals. The host told me to open the windows. I was told maintenance checked in, but nothing was done to curtail the heating, which was stifling. Window air units stored in the closets could have been reinstalled. We returned from this stay covered in bug bites from leaving the windows open. There are no window screens, which was problematic both because of the bugs and the 3rd-floor location, and kids in the apartment. To their credit, the hosts were very communicative and responsive, and the location is VERY walkable to the T, busses, restaurants, and sights. It's a great location that was ruined for us by faulty climate control.
This spot was fantastic! Great location - we were able to walk everywhere. Feneuil Hall was just a couple blocks away. We were in town to visit Salem as well, and were able to walk to subway stations and ferry easily. The house itself is cozy and has plenty of space to spread out. I would highly recommend this spot!
Steven was very responsive and quick to answer questions. He let me check in an hour early which I really appreciated after long flight. However, this place didn’t look like pictures noted on the listing. Not sure if he has multiple listings, but the place we stayed need some major renovation. Floors by the kitchen table were broken and warped. Heating vent covers were all falling apart. Bathroom was clean but noted chipped paints and exposed pipes (in desperate need of repair). It was loud in the apartment and realized that multiple windows were opened at the top. It took multiple attempts to close and gaps were noted even after it’s closed. Very difficult to sleep at night because you can hear everything from the street due to poor window insulations. Water leaked from window AC unit. My girlfriends had to cover the blue sofa with a sheet since it wasn’t that clean. Issues were reported and he offered to send someone to close windows which we declined.
Condo was neglected and badly in need of repairs in every room. Loose floor tiles in the common area, water stains on the ceiling, burnt holes on the furniture and scorch marks on floor. The window in the common area was broken and couldn’t close. The paneling on the tub had caved in and the pedestal sink was loose and not secured. The floor heater covers were nearly all broken with the insulation exposed.
Can’t beat location and price. Stayed here for one night with my parents, would stay again. Building on the older side.
Location can’t be beat! Easy to walk to many tourist attractions, close to transit. Tons of space in the apartment!
Great spot in the heart of Boston! A little noisy on weekend nights but the AC and sound machine helped mask the noise. We stayed with two little kids and everyone had a great time.
Really nice airbnb
Steven was a great host, very responsive and willing to accommodate us. Building was in a great location very walkable to any attraction or activity you want to do.
Steven’s place was the perfect spot for a girls’ weekend in Boston! Perfect location for walking to bars, restaurants, and activities! A little noisy in the middle of the night at times, cars beeping and people talking but that comes with the location. Overall a very nice place!!!
Centrally located. Close to everything all within walking distance.
Easy & fun stay. Great location
This was such a great spot! Lots of room, so clean and comfy beds. We loved the location and was so walkable to all our favorite Boston spots!
We had a brilliant stay in Boston. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely apartment in the heart of downtown Boston!
Great location, walkable to North End and the aquarium. The apartment is excellent for a family traveling and has all the basics for a worry free trip. We would definitely stay at this location again.
Great location in downtown Boston.
Great location walking distance to pretty much everything!
Perfect for our group of 5. A bit expensive I thought.
The apartment was perfect for what we needed. Fantastic location, walkable to the north end, the aquarium, the commons, the T, Faneuil Hall and Quincy market. It was exactly what we were looking for. As other people have mentioned, it is not a quiet area overnight, but we were not bothered by that.
Needs maintenance and upgrading for what you are paying (and I do understand that Boston is an expensive city).
This is a great place for a family or 4 people. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. One shower, but if sequenced..no problem. The kitchen was adequate, even though I did not cook. The place was meticulously clean. Location MARVELOUS; easy walk from South Station and to the waterfront. The only issue was the 5pm check-in and the 10am checkout; That is 17 hours at the daily rate of about 300 dollars (unless you paid extra for early check-in or late check-out). I found that a little irksome.
Great little apartment! Super easy to get to. Had everything we needed for a quick stay. We parked at the Aquarium garage overnight and was able to walk everywhere from there.
In a great location and very cozy. The apartment was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 5.
Very convenient location for our trip. Sometimes the street noise was crazy. Some upgrades are needed. Communication was great! Access was easy.
Stephen & the company-managed team were very communicative. condo was in a great location and met our needs. The floorplan was odd and the listing pictures selected only the more modern aspects of the unit. overall, good - not great.
This is a great location and a really cool building with spiral staircase and comfy beds. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location for good price
This was a great, safe and convenient location to stay for our family of 5. We had plenty of space to relax before our next adventure. Close walking distance to Faneuil Hall, the North End, the Wharf attractions, and a short T ride to further locations like the MFA and Fenway to catch a Sox game. Would definitely stay at this apartment again!
Great place to stay in.. my family and I had such a good time. The place was very comfortable and we had everything we need. The beds and lines are very clean and soft. Extra towels, pillows and blanket were provided. The location was very strategic and lots of places to eat. Very good, helpful and responsive host. And we are really grateful to stay in the unit. Thank you for being such a great host for us!
A perfect location if you are looking to stay right in the city with a group of people, great communication. I feel as if it could use some updates on the apartment in general but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely amazing location, perfect for anyone coming to Boston as a visitor - literally steps away from the center of the best tourist attractions
Great location, gracious host, very spacious for me and a friend, very quiet, and easy to get into. The location is nice. Maybe a 10 minute walk from the train, and a nice restaurant is right across. I didn't use the location much. The host was nice enough to accommodate in my instance. I needed to put my stuff down ASAP, and they let me do so far before the check-in time. An absolute life-saver! Felt very spacious: two bathrooms, two beds, two lounge-ish areas, plenty of room for a couple of friends. Had a good amount of amenities as well. Felt very quiet. I didn't hear any neighbors during my stay, nor did I hear anything from the outdoors. The walls didn't feel thin. Tried only one of the beds, was decently quiet too. Was up a few flights of stairs and right there, didn't have to walk too far or long to get there. I have no complaints, I enjoyed the place thoroughly. Would DEFINITELY book again if I swung around.
Really loved staying here! The place is very spacious and cute. Very clean and has everything you need! The location is great in the middle of downtown Boston and is within walkable distance to pretty much anywhere. Steven was very responsive which was helpful as well. Only issue was the radiators were on and I didn’t want to mess with them, so the apartment got very warm. But thankfully the AC units scattered throughout the apartment were VERY helpful!!
The place looks way better in pictures than in reality. You pay prime above other apartments because it looks new and clean, but the reality is pretty different. Isolation was so poor that I could hear people's conversations better than if I were directly on the street. Not to mention that every 5 minutes, an ambulance or any other car pass by with sirens loudly. Even more, the lack of isolation is not only acoustic, I could even smell Marihuana in my room not because somebody has smoked in the room before we got in, but because of the people that were smoking on the street. Aside from that, at least one of the beds looked like it was going to fall apart when you get in. Actually, a lot of elements in the house looked like fixed and put there. The covers for the radiators were all over the place. As a good point, the location is nice for visiting places. If you don't expect to sleep, you smoke, or you feel like you are paying a very cheap price, then it's a good option.
Beautiful place, great location, easy check-in. Highly recommend staying here!
Great location! It was a bit noisy, but was just what we needed.
Good location - little loud as one might expect based on the city
Perfect place to stay while we were in Boston. Walking distance to a lot of places, comfortable, and very responsive hosts. We will definitely try to stay the again the next time we visit.
Great place great location.. very responsive host..
This place was in a good location however the actual accommodation is old and worn. There seems to be very little effort to present the place or make the guests feel comfortable. We had cold showers most of the time. With some effort this place could present well but it just doesn't seem to be a priority. The add did say that it had recently been renovated, this is clearly not the case.
very clean, just like pictures... we went on a very cold weekend and the windows are a little old so the cold get through the windows but we put the heat higher and the problem was solve
Very nice apartment in the financial district. Clean and exactly as described. We were given really clear instructions on how to get into the apartment and had no issues. If anyone is wondering about parking there is a parking garage near the aquarium we paid $84 for 3 days!
The location is primo; the space is huge – two great spaces to hang out and relax with plenty of room. Plenty of space to put clothing, lots of drawers! We had a slightly strange situation – the coldest day in Boston in decades – and the heat was not up to the job. However, very quickly they brought us three space heaters which made it bearable! Besides the crazy weather, the space was warm and cozy. The kitchen is a bit ill-equipped, missing some basics. Similarly for the bathrooms. Generally not a very luxurious place. For the price, this place is absolutely hard to pass up; the only thing that should make you hesitate is if you have higher expectations of luxury.
We stayed at steven’s for 3 nights, everything was as described and as the pictures, location great, you can walk anywhere from there, it’s quiet. Steven asnwered quickly to the requests/questions we had! Everything was great! I’m looking foward to go back!
The apartment was good and fitted our family well. Location was good. The only issue (and the reason for the lower rating) is that the heat was stuck uncomfortably high and we had to sleep with windows open which was noisy. Steven did try resolve the issue with fans and communicated well with us.
excellent host. great place. highly recommended
We had a great stay! Clean rooms, amazing location and easy check in. We would definitely stay here again!
easy access, great bedrooms
Steven’s place was a fantastic, downtown location. A short walk to any popular site and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. It was clean, check-in was easy, and he responded to our questions and provided recommendations quickly.
The apartment has the perfect location to explore downtown Boston. Very central, everything in walkable distance, cafes, restaurants just on the corner. Parking is tricky (no surprise in Boston) because of street cleaning posts, but there are a number of parking garages close by - little pricy though. Check-in was a breeze, elevator is great to have. It is an older building and the apartment itself is though spacious and clean, but kinda beat up. Especially the bathrooms would need some serious remodeling, rust here and there, cabinetry is very worn, tub doesn't hold water, etc. Windows are pretty old and don't seal, you can really feel the draft when sitting in front of them (and hear the street noise, but I wouldn't list it as a con, since the apartment is in the middle of downtown). We had no way of controlling the heating (the thermostat didn't seem to do anything) and at times the warmth was just too much - on the good side, management reacted instantly. All in all, a fair deal.
Great location in heart of Boston. We had a terrific weekend visit. Only downside was the Friday nightlife right outside the building- was noisy. Saturday night was much quieter.
Airbnb was in an amazing location. Very central to everywhere we went. The apartment was spacious and clean and had everything you could need. The only complaint was that it was a bit loud outside at night but otherwise we had a great stay and would come again.
Wonderful location, great place to crash if your out exploring the city.
Great stay. Staff was helpful, and quick to communicate. Would stay again.
Great host, great place to stay, top notch to say the least. Host was very responsive and easy to talk to, the location of this is as described, beautifully located in the downtown area, few hundred feet from local attractions. If staying in the downtown area of Boston is what you’re looking for, this is in a great place, easy access to subways, local food and pubs.
Location!! We booked this stay with our two children ages three and 1.5 - the proximity to everything was incredible. We walked everywhere the whole time we were there. The aquarium, the children’s museum, parks, seaport, and local restaurants and bars were everywhere and within 7-12 minutes walking from the apartment. Steven was great with communication, he always got back to me within an hour every time and was so accommodating with early and late checkin/out which was so helpful with two young children. I do want to make note, the stay is on a busy bar street so you hear a lot at night - I would recommend bringing earplugs, our kids didn’t mind with sound machines. Also of note, this stay is on the third floor and the elevator is very narrow. It was a struggle to get our stroller into the apartment - we had to take it apart to fit! All this to say - the cons weren’t that big a deal and we loved the stay and would stay there again esp due to the host responsiveness and the location.
Pros: - Location - Size of the unit - Full kitchen - comfortable beds - good space for young kids Cons: - noisy at night - shower head sprays in all directions. Not a great shower experience - elevator is not reliable - no hot water in the bathroom sink
Great location. More than enough space for me and my family. Would consider another stay in the future.
The apartment was spacious, clean and very well located. Host was very communicative. I would definately stay at the apartment again. It is a great place to stay when visiting Boston for a weekend.
We had an excellent stay. The apartment was well appointed (plenty of towels, extra toilet paper, hooks in the bathroom, dish soap, hand soap, etc.) and we are able to get parking via spothero at a very close by garage for a reasonable price. I loved all the windows in the apartment and the shades worked well for blocking out light. The beds were a bit creaky and made quite a bit of noise with each movement. Heads up that the door to the building elevator is very narrow. Our baby stroller couldn't fit through, which wasn't a huge deal for us but could be a challenge for others. Communication with management was excellent and we would stay here again on any future visits to Boston.
The apartment is lovely and in a very central location so easy to access a lot of tourist spots. It was super clean and the whole team was really responsive through out our stay. As other people mentioned it’s noisy at night. Our stay was great and we had a lovely time! Definitely recommend it!
We stayed for one day, the location served its purpose - it was close to Mass General hospital. The check-in process was easy. The full bathroom is small and in disrepair and needs to be updated. The beds were fine. There were plenty of towels. The elevator worked fine. The noise on the street was more than expected for a Thursday night. There is no parking overnight on the street, and the signage is poor so be careful. Prices in Boston are high so this place was a good value for our needs.
The location is excellent, in that we could walk to just about anywhere we went. However, because it is in an area with bars/restaurants, it is very noisy in the evenings on the weekend, until the bars close. It also gets noisy early in the morning during the week as commuter street noise begins. It is an old building and the windows are not insulated, so you hear everything from the street below. The kitchen has the bare minimum as far as dishes. We had no hot water in the sink in our bathroom. We reported this upon arrival and it was not addressed during our stay. The entire time we were there, the elevator was broken. The steps are relatively steep and narrow, so not easy, especially with luggage. We were given a $100 refund due to the broken elevator. However, this did not feel sufficient due to the elevator being out our entire stay, and us having no hot water in our bathroom sink.
Can’t beat this location. Short walk to all the popular sites. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Steven and co responded quickly to any questions I had. Compared to the pricey hotels in the area, this place is a steal.
Had a great stay here! It was in a great area of Boston which was nice. It was clean and had a quaint vibe. Easy communication with the owner. Overall, great stay!
Steven’s apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable. He responded to inquiries extremely quickly and was such a friendly host. I will definitely booking his place next time I’m in Boston. Thanks again, Steven!
Great location and comfy beds. Great apartment for visiting Boston! Would recommend staying here.
Perfect location for the best family experiences in Boston. Easily walk everywhere.
Rental was as advertised. Very spacious and great for three people.
Great location. Easy place to stay. Hosts provided quick, timely communication. Would recommend as the apartment is very close to many restaurants and things to do.
This apartment was perfect for our family of five, so much better than a hotel. There was enough room for everyone to have some personal space and two bathrooms are hard to find on vacation. It felt like it was only a 5-10 minute walk to just about everything. The deli across the street was delicious for breakfast too. The next time we’re in Boston we hope to book this place again.
Great little spot right in FiDi
Great place! Great location! I appreciated the communication, as well. If you’re traveling w little kiddos, it’s worth mentioning that the tub doesn’t fill (or at least we couldn’t get it to stop draining). We had a rubber stopper and it just leaked right through. My kid is anti-shower and pro-bath, so it was a little hassle. We would absolutely stay there again.
The space worked perfectly for my family. Having two bedrooms and bathrooms along with the location and proximity to so much of the city was great. The communication was topnotch.
Great location and easy stay!
This was a wonderful place. Steven was communicative and place was quite nice! The parking situation is extremely difficult but the location if you’re walking/not driving it is fantastic. Definitely enjoyed! Really wonderful company as well!
Perfect location and plenty of space to spread out. Shower worked great and the smart TV was nice to have. Highly recommend staying here.
Great location. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Clean and spacious.
My family had a great stay at Steven's apartment. The unit was spacious and as listed, with a nice extra bed off the living area. We came to Boston during a very hot week and really appreciated the air conditioning, especially how nice and cool the place was when we arrived. We had good communication with everyone about the apartment and easy check-in and check-out. The location is in Downtown Boston and we found it very convenient for visiting many of the tourist areas.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was amazing, the place was clean and spacious, and the city was incredible. Overall we would definitely stay here again.
This was a great space! The host was super helpful and informative, the apartment was very spacious, and it’s in a great location walking distance to several places. Definitely would recommend!
Perfect location to get all around the city. Tons of room and super clean.
Lovely old building with an ample amount of space for us. The only thing disappointing was the very late check in at 5pm.
Location was great, the apartment was clean, staff was helpful and responsive.
We cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The location was amazing-walkable to everything-the aquarium, Children’s museum, Greenway, Boston Common and Public Garden, and the T to go to Harvard. But the apartment itself is just such a gem-clean, well appointed (the decor is simple but creates the calmest, coziest vibe), with the most comfortable beds and seriously anything you might need to make your stay and sleep more comfortable-fans, a privacy screen, blackout shades, rooms that are far apart from each other. And tons of storage space! We stayed with our two daughters, ages 2 and 3, and it was one of our favorite Airbnb stays- and we’ve traveled on Airbnb a lot and are hosts ourselves! You cannot go wrong with this place! The hosts are incredibly responsive and very accommodating too :)
The location was fantastic and very central which made it easy to walk around Boston and the place was clean and tidy when we arrived! It could be a little noisy outside at night but the beds were comfortable and there are AC units in the bedrooms and main area so the temperature was very comfortable. We were extremely happy with our stay!
Good space for us traveling with kids. Fantastic ease to downtown
Great place, ideally located. I can highly recommend it. Thanks a lot Steven!
Great location! Easy check in and out process. Very responsive communication. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place really clean. The location is amazing, right in the middle of the city. Love the decor. The hosts are amazing and responsive with all my questions. Overall, a really great stay! The only small downside was that as it’s located in the middle of the city, it gets quite loud at night (we stayed on Saturday night, justifiable). Since we’re staying with our parents, it gets a bit uncomfortable for them. Thanks a lot for the hosts! ☺️
Great downtown location for walking everywhere. Beds were comfortable, nice living spaces, and had everything we needed.
Wonderful stay! Centrally located, clean and spacious.
Great stay, very responsive host. Appreciate the support. Would rent again
The place was in a perfect location in downtown Boston. Spacious and clean compared to other options in the area, and check in and out was a breeze.
The team was phenomenal! Very smooth process that made our stay highly enjoyable. Location in downtown Boston was perfect with comfortable proximity to a range of different attractions within the city. Spacious apartment and considering booking again soon!
If you like being able to walk and explore then this is the perfect location. Plenty of space in the well kept apartment with a decent view.
Wonderful stay. Right in the heart of Boston. The place was perfect and so quiet. Can’t wait to visit again!
Great place to stay!
Close to everything in downtown Boston! The hosts were very communicative and clear about the unit. It’s a funny shape since it’s on a corner but was nice to have the space (we came with another couple). It is noisy at night due to be smack in the middle of the city but still worth the location being walking distance of so many options.
Great stay with our family of 5! Building and apartment have charm and quirks of an older building. Gorgeous spiral staircase in the building! Host was very responsive, easy check in and location was great as tourists in Boston. Safe area and worked well as a home base to explore!
Nice location and good space. A little run down for the cost.
Great location. Close to everything.
Very comfortable apartment in a great location! Easy access to Boston attractions.
Very nice spot, very good communication
Such a great location, in the heart of Boston! Spacious, plenty of room for a family of 4 or 5. Clean. Excellent prompt communication with the owner. My family will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Boston.
location was AMAZING!!! Within walking distance to Boston Common, Little Italy, Quincy Market, Aquarium, etc. Don't need a car but recommend the Trolly to get around. Noisey on Sat night as others have commented but the other nights were fine. Would stay here again!
Prefect location for tourists attractions and good food!
This was the perfect space for our couples trip! Not only was the place great, but the location was even better! It seemed like we were about a 10 minute walk from everything! Highly recommend!!
This place is in such a great location, everything is nearby. I did noticed some issues, as one of the windows was broken and made the apartment colder but there were heaters which was a plus. The elevator was broken during our stay but we didn't mind much unless you have heavy luggages I can see being a problem. The bathroom door also needs fixing but I already told the owners about these issues and they answered pretty quickly. Other than that, not a bad place at all.
Nice place. Very spacious and everything you need was there. It snowed during our stay and heaters were provided. Only thing was sometimes the elevator wouldn’t work so we had to take the stairs. Wasn’t too bad of a climb but we had heavy luggages. Pack light if anything.
Steven was very quick with responding to our requests and working with us. Great location in Boston. Beds are comfortable. Great girls trip
The reply was very prompt and there was no hick up with in and check out as well. I like the unit’s layout very much. Surely will come and stay here for my future trip to Boston.
Steven’s place if gorgeous and so relaxing. Thank you guys and I hope to return again someday!!
This apartment is in the best location on an amazing historical street! Was cozy and made us feel we were part of the city, not just visitors. Would definitely stay again!
Located in a central area, it was very easy to get around Boston from this Airbnb. It was a comfortable stay. My only complaint is that one window did not close and therefore the whole apartment would get cold. Other than that, it was a good place.
I will start with the Pros: location is amazing and very central, communication prior to stay and during was good. Cons: The apartment windows aren't properly sealed so there was a draft while we slept, the heating also couldn't cope with a Boston winter and we couldn't get the apartment above 60f (15c) even after having maintenance out to try and get it warmer. They didn't provide blankets either or a heater. We ended up leaving a night early as we couldn't face another cold night in the apartment. Then after we left I complained to the host and my messages went ignore. Friday and saturday night its also very loud with cars and music. I would say don't stay here in winter but for spring/summer/autumn it would a be a great stay.
The place was so cute and in such a great location, we didn’t have to go far for a good time! Very clean, spacious, worth the price. We ate and grabbed drinks right around the corner. If we come back to Boston we would definitely book here again!!
Really really nice apartment, perfect location and the hosts are really responsive. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely come back in the future. The exterior of the apartment it very classic while the inside is modern and comfy. Five stars for everything!
Place is at awesome location, good for family of 4-5, and perfect for those who is visiting Boston for first time. Only thing that check in time is at 5 pm so you may want to arrange your travel accordingly.
Very good communication, very clean, and location that can’t be beat. Great place to stay in Boston!
This apartment is in such a prime spot, close to many big Boston must sees. It’s very spacious and comfortable and working with Steven was super easy- he was very quick to respond to any questions!
This location was great! The place was in walking distance to everything and the place was very roomy. No issues with anything and the communication between the tenets and and host were quick and efficient. Would definitely reserve this place again.
In a great location, walking distance to many bars, clubs, and activities. Beds are super comfortable. Dishwasher in unit really helped with cleanup over the weekend.
Great apartment and amazing location! We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
The apartment was very clean and spacious. The area was also nice.
Good for accessing downtown Boston. The bath panel is stuck on with sellotape, and be careful when you turn the lights on as they spark.
Great response rate. The space had nice decor. The beds were comfortable. Many walkable restaurants, bars, and things to do. Would recommend!
Exceeded my expectations!
The location is excellent for walking around the city! You can hear street noise at night because it’s close to restaurants and bars so it might not be best for light sleepers. However, I was able to sleep fine after getting used to it and it just proves how central the location is. There is an adorable coffee shop called tradesman steps away, and you truly can walk almost anywhere in under 15 minutes. The T is only a few blocks away which is convenient to travel to the airport or to get around the city.
My group of 5 stayed for 2 nights. The location was great. Good walkability to many shops and eateries. We walked home late at night with no worries. Parking at 0 post office was very convenient. The apartment was clean and surprisingly spacey. There was distinct separation between the bedrooms. I personally slept in the alcove and had no issues. I would definitely stay again.
Great location, would definitely stay here again!
Great location and plenty of space!
Excellent location, walkable to many of the sights. Bright apartment, with lots of windows, and the blinds keep out the light if needed. Clean and comfortable space, with good communication and basic necessities provided. Great value for this area of Boston! Would definitely stay again.
Perfect location we loved the place. Great location
This place was a great location and easy to communicate with. The apartment itself was not good for gathering. It was a strange shape hard to gather with just four people. It needed to be stocked better. No hand towel in bathroom. The beds were very uncomfortable. It worked fine for us because the great location but I prob wouldn’t stay again because it wasn’t comfortable.
Great apartment in an amazing location! Right in the heart of the city snd very safe. We absolutely loved our stay and all agreed it was a fantastic price. I cannot wait to return!
Amazing location in the heart of Boston. We had a great time staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Place was clean and in a great location! We had a great time!
This was the worst experience i have ever had to deal with using airbnb. This listing needs to be taken off Airbnb. I would write a lengthy review but I’m over it. I have emailed and suffered so much aggravation. Do not stay here. It’s a old, unclean, unit that needs way more attention then they are willing to offer. Something as simple as a new shower curtain shouldn’t be difficult for the price of this place.
We had a lovely time! Very charming and comfortable space, and in a great location very close to some of the best spots in Boston
Location was amazing, we were able to walk everywhere in the city! Accommodations were nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the TV room at night before bed. A/C was definitely appreciated as well since it was so hot! Would absolutely come back and stay here again if we are ever in Boston again!
Loved being in the heart of the city, in a great home; Thank you!!
Steven and Brian are great hosts! They will respond to any questions you have before and during the stay. Super great people, will stay again when I’m in Boston
We didn't get to stay at this location, unfortunately - so this review is for a different apartment they moved us to when they had an issue arise with tile in the apartment we booked. When I called to get help as our plane had landed and we'd just gotten an AirBNB message moments before, they weren't super sympathetic. They switched us from a 3 bed, 2 bath apartment to a 2 bed, 1 bath apartment in a different area of the city. We pulled up and someone was being arrested for drugs on our doorstep - and there was a pile of feces on the sidewalk by the door. We understand this is just the city - but we were moved from a nice area that we were familiar with to a literal alley in what felt like an unfinished apartment - no soap dishes, no trash bags, no supplies at all. Ultimately, after we asked multiple times for help, they brought an air mattress - but it was truly a trainwreck.
Location is amazing!! You can walk easily to any place.
The location of this air bnb is perfect. You can walk to everything! It was bigger than I expected and was plenty of room for our family of 5 for a few nights. It could stand a few updates for appliances and flooring, but overall was fine.
Nice stay, as expected!
Great location! Easy check in
Excellent location and a well setup apartment! It’s so central to everything that there’s really no need to drive around Boston (which if you can avoid is absolutely worth it). The hosts were very communicative throughout our stay and addressed any issues immediately. My only heads up is that there is a lively bar across the street that is open late, so over the weekend you may want earplugs unless you’re partying with them lol
Steven and team were great at communicating quickly. The place was fine for a night for me and my 3 friends- and the location was very convenient to the financial district and downtown Boston. Kevin
Great location. Apartment is bigger and nicer than the photos.
Fantastic location, allows for easy access to the city. Very clean and safe, and better than expected
Perfect location and beautiful apartment
Great place to stay to visit Boston! The location was great and the apartment was very spacious for our family. We had a great time in Boston and hope to return for a longer start before to long!
Great location, we walked everywhere!
The place was very clean and within walking distance to everywhere in Boston! The host is also very responsive.
Steven's place was spare, very clean, convenient for sightseeing and other downtown fun. Checking in and out was straightforward, and communications easy. There was quite a bit of street noise at night, maybe associated with nearby construction and so temporary.
This place has a fantastic location! Its within walking distance to great bars and sites. However there are a few things to be aware of: The apartment is located in a building with an old elevator which we got stuck in upon arrival. Luckily we were able to get out but had to climb three flights of stairs the whole stay. There are two bathrooms, but only one shower. The street noise can be pretty bad as the windows don’t provide much noise protection from street sweepers and people leaving the bar. For a quick/cheaper stay it worked for us because we spent most of our time out and about.
Steven's place is in a great location, within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and bars. There is plenty of space in the apartment and check-in/check-out is a quick, simple and efficient.
The location of this space was perfect. Close to the T and centrally located to all of downtown Boston. Apartment was more weathered than the pictures indicated but overall okay. The apartment was listed as having AC, but when we arrived there was one unit on the floor that wasn’t installed. The weekend we stayed the weather was in the high 80s and low 90s and not having AC was pretty tough for our stay. I reached out and was told they were going to be installed during the week — unfortunately, we were leaving Monday morning so it wasn’t helpful for us. Hopefully it has been installed for the next guests.
This property was not what was represented when we committed. It was also likely in code violation. Online photos show an entirely different format of the furniture in the dining and seating areas adjacent to the kitchen, as well as the TV sitting area. The unit was now set up to sleep five people. They were only 3 cups, silverware for four, no towel paper or dish soap. The old venetian blinds did not work: one missing the rods for opening and closing the slats, the other one raised leaving the blinds out of 30 to 45° angle. The TV room had two windows one with and one without a shade. By far the worst issues are likely potential code and safety violations. Many of the baseboard heaters were missing coverings allowing exposed naked heating elements. An electric outlet in the kitchen was coming out of the wall. The outlet above and behind the stove was a duplex but non-functional, and only one of the two outlets were available. Floor tiles in the dining area were buckled and potential tripping hazards. No bathroom cups were present and one bathroom had a wall mount exposed with the holder missing. The TV uses a Google account which was in active. We were asked to download the Apple home app for which we had to create an account providing our personal information. This was an account we did not need or want. I did document all of this with photos. Having pay $1300 for the unit we received a text that someone would enter the unit to install air conditioners sometime between 9 AM and 5 PM. We asked not to be disturbed as we were to leave the next day. There was no acknowledgment of our request. The follow up was an apology that the work was not done for whatever reason. There are pros to this unit – the location is excellent for a short stay in Boston and there was good privacy for each of the bedrooms to be used by two couples. Steven was responsive to our prearrival requests. This unfortunately was our worst Airbnb experience to date having used the service in Australia New Delhi India Hawaii New York and elsewhere. It was a real disappointment that can be corrected. This was the consensus of all four of us that used the unit. Louis and Beth Livoti
Property was perfect for our Mother’s Day celebration. Rooms were clean and everything we needed. Right in the heart of Boston. Easy walking to all we needed. Close to our favorite restaurant- the Bostonian.
Very clean and great location!
Great location and nice views
A very comfortable and clean property, especially location is scond to none. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone who loves Boston. During the night, some noise could come from outside, so a family have young kids needs to know. But, genarally this apartment is pretty well-maintained and clean.
The location was perfect and was walking distance to everywhere we needed to go. Check in/out was easy and questions were quickly answered. The unit was a bit more run down than expected based on pictures. Minor issue with sitting smelly water in the kitchen but we were told maintenance would be looking into it. Overall, it was a good experience and was a better deal than reserving 2 hotel rooms.
Excellent location, very confortable apartment, very easy check in and extraordinary communication and resolutions. Highly recommended.
Great place for a weekend trip. However expect the place to have much more wear and tear than the pictures showed
Location was great! Spacious. Host had quick responses when we had questions. I would stay at this property again.
This apartment is in such a great location. It’s close to the waterfront and various restaurants. The apartment itself is pretty nice like in the pictures although the heater is old and can sometimes make noises. Other than that, we had a great stay.
Stayed at Stevens place for four nights and would highly recommend. Outstanding location and plenty of room for everyone.
We enjoyed the location and atmosphere of this rental.
This apartment was clean and in a great location. the images were pretty accurate, however some things were a bit misleading such as the bathrooms and kitchens. i would give this 4 stars since the apartment was far from bad, it’s just the price compared to the other options in the area we were considering, this was more expensive with some pretty considerable damages. from the kitchen table falling on us, a window that wouldn’t close, broken and missing shades, an outlet and burner not working, a broken dishwasher with smelly water at the bottom, and among other things, we decided we should have just booked a cheaper apartment considering the troubles this venue was giving us and how much we paid. i do have to give it to stephen though for the good communication when i informed him of the several damages, since he was apologetic and told us he would make repairs shortly. all in all, the stay was okay; it was very clean, there were no issues with that, it’s just the several damages that makes me rate this 3 stars since it was one of the more expensive apartments in the area. i would stay again as long as the damages i pointed out are in fact fixed since the apartment is cute, very clean, and in an optimal location.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Steven is very responsive. The location is very central to everything, nothing is to far a drive. Great value for the price and I would stay again.
Thank you Steven will be back
Great location in the heart of the downtown area
Great location in the financial district close to restaurants, shopping, parks and seaport... The building is old with small lobby and slow elevator, and the unit is a bit dated but clean. Steven was very quick to respond when we reported that the a/c was not working. First two nights were miserably hot without the a/c.. he moved us to another nicer apartment for the rest of our stay (he said he was scheduling a/c replacement on the first unit) There was construction around the block but overall the noise level was what we expected from being in the city or maybe even less because many businesses were closed during of the pandemic. We occasionally ran into other tenants going in and out of the lobby but everyone we encountered was wearing a mask. We stayed for a week and overall had a good experience.
Check was a simple and easy process - punch in a code for both the front door and unit and viola you're in. Makes going in and out to explore hassle free. The apartment was true to pictures, and spacious for 4 people.
Wonderful space open area and thoughtful ideas as well as all the things you would need to cook clean etc.
This was not the definition of a good AirBnB experience, and I have stayed in quite a few, both in and out of the city. First – the listing said check in was at 3PM. Because I was traveling over two hours, with coolers, I wanted to be sure of the check in time, and if we could start our weekend a little earlier (because it wasn’t rented the day before) then great. I inquired as to the check in time, at the time I reserved the unit and was told to check back the day before, which I did. I was then told the check in time for the unit was at 4PM (and hour after what the listing reflected, which was 3PM), but that I could stay in another unit in the same building with check in time at noon. I accepted this and was told I would get a change order for the new unit that evening. The morning of the reservation, as we were all waiting to leave (with coolers) I didn’t receive anything from the owner, and followed up, since there was no change to my reservation at the AirBnB website. The owner replied and said the other unit in the building was not available, and that we would be able to check in to our original unit we reserved at 4PM. I inquired as to whether we could get in earlier (because of the advertised check in time and no where to go with the coolers, since at this point I thought we were getting the noon check in unit) and he said he would try. I got a message later in the day that it “should” be ready about 330 or 345. We arrived at the unit at 345, and the cleaning lady was still in the unit but finished and left. There were several issues with the unit: two of them safety issues. First, we found a condom on the windowsill of the bedroom window. Second, the GFCI outlet, the only one available to safely plug in the appliances, we corroded and not working. There was a second outlet in the kitchen, but in order to use it, the electrical appliance had to be strategically balanced on the small piece of countertop, hanging the appliance over the sink. Not safe at all. Third, we had opened a few of the windows since the unit was well above 80 degrees (see comments below). We had one of the windows wide open, and as we were all sitting around, the window suddenly came crashing down at least 3 feet. If any part of anyone’s body had been hanging thru that windowsill, the metal piece of the window would have surely severed a limb. Fourth, construction noise and traffic noise in the city is expected. We expected it and wouldn’t have expected anything less. That is reasonable. What is not reasonable is the people running up and down the stairs, the amount of foot traffic in and out of the building, and the overwhelming groups of people (no less, during a pandemic) partying, fighting, and shooting up various drugs in the street. Some, but definitely not all, of this behavior, we expected on the 4th of July, but not the 3rd, and not right outside our window, which again, (see below) were all open. Fifth, and most prevalent, we could not find any sign of AC units in the place we rented. About the time my fellow travelers had enough of 80+ degree temps (after a hot, noisy, no sleep night), I got an automated message thru my AirBnB app instructing me how to leave the unit when I left, including instructions to make sure I shut off any air conditioners, at which point, I responded and asked where the air conditioning in the unit was. I got a response “, unfortunately, we haven’t installed AC’s in this unit yet”, to which I replied that the listing not only indicated there was air conditioning in the unit, there was also pictures of the two bedrooms in the unit with air conditioners in the windows. I expressed my dissatisfaction at paying full price for a unit that did not have amenities like AC in July – and never got a response. Finally, there was absolutely no sleep the 4th of July. Beginning at the stroke of midnight and until 3am, there was one after the other firework launched from the ROOF OF OUR BUILDING. I am not referencing the rocket fireworks one buys at stands, I am talking about the industrial fireworks from barges during typical Independence Day celebrations. Each one shook the building and burning debris rained down all night. And we couldn’t even muffle the noise because we had to leave the windows open or suffer with the heat. What a shame that the worst part of our 4th of July weekend was the place we rented. I made a recommendation that part of our weekends rent should be returned for the lack of AC, since the listing clearly said the unit had it, and was met with no response at all. I will never rent from this AirBnB owner again, and I recommend you think twice before doing so.
The space was great! & Steven was very quick to respond! Great location & space! Thank you!
Great space: very large and clean.
I’d like to say thank you for being a great host, the spot was great! It was a nice safe spot if you barely know much about Boston and you’re just visiting. We looked forward to coming back to the Airbnb when we went out and just relax for the rest of the day. The beds are comfy, and if you use the blinds in the room it will be completely dark and the sun won’t bother you while you sleep. It’s located in a great spot where there’s stores a few blocks down from the place and a few cafes and Starbucks right next to the Airbnb. Overall, great stay.
Great location and lot of space!
Nice place in the city
Overall the stay was fine. There is major construction happening one block away which is disruptive for a good night’s sleep.
Ideal location with so much to do close enough to walk! Loved it!
Clean. Centrally located.
Pretty good place to stay. Noisy though.
Amazing location! Highly recommend this stay.
Everything was great, I recommend this place.
Nice central location for visiting Boston. Walking distance to most areas. Easy checkin. Prompt response from hosts. Very comfortable beds! Good deli across the street to grab a quick bite.
The location and checkin were great and the apartment was spacious enough, but we had issues with the kitchen sink being backed up and these were never addressed during our stay there. Better communication from the host when these issues arise would be nice.
Great location, very clean and comfortable
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
