Great location as it is walkable to almost everything in Boston. Only thing was the room was a bit dirty with stains and hair around the bed and carpet. We notified the host and they were super responsive of the situation offering to have cleaners come during stay.
Excellent location and great apartment. My only call out would be that I strongly feel that the hosts should have communicated beforehand that the elevator was broken and that means the unit is effectively a 7 story walk up. We also met other guests staying on floors above us who also were very disappointed to learn that the elevator was broken. I will give the hosts the benefit of doubt and assume they did not realize this was something that should be communicated before booking. They have been made aware of this now, so I would expect any future guests will be notified immediately if the elevator is broken for their stay.
Good place in a great location with a MAJOR drawback. First of all, the place is very neat. A little old but if you’re from a city in the northeast you’d be fine. The location is almost perfect. Great food options, a pharmacy and places to see nearby. Now coming to the bad. This place is in a really old apartment building on the seventh floor. I was visiting with my old mother, and when I get there I see that the elevator is broken. We had to climb seven stories up down with our bags each day. This is not very good for her knees and given that it has a spiral staircase, not very safe if either. I contacted the host about this but all he said was he’d look into it, but it was never sorted out for the duration of our stay. I feel like this should have been communicated better or some alternative accommodations be provided. For an apartment targeted to people seeking medical care, not even having basic accessibility is a critical failure.
This is a very quaint old apartment in an established downtown area within walking distance from everything downtown, and the wharf too. The amenities provided inside the apartment were substantial and clean. The building is generally quiet but there was constant construction noise from the street.

Definitely worth the money. The location is unbeatable, yes it’s outdated and has a minimalistic style but it’s clean and you can’t beat that price in Boston. The fact that it’s an organization that helps folks in need is the cherry on top. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the elevator worked just fine. Overall it’s a great deal in Boston. This apartment is located in an excellent location, within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and public transportation options. The host was very responsive and provided clear check-in/out instructions. However, the place does feel a bit outdated and needs maintenance. There were some issues with the bathroom, especially the shower drainage. The water drained very slowly in the bathtub, so we only took quick showers. Additionally, there was mold in the bathroom caulk, which was concerning. The toilet would periodically run throughout the night, which was quite disruptive. Furthermore, the walls had incomplete paint jobs, which made the place feel less polished. Overall, while the location and host were great, the apartment could benefit from some updates and repairs to improve the overall stay.

Our stay was great and Steven was so responsive! The only downside was that there was not a lot of sound insulation and there were loud noises (garbage trucks, construction) throughout the day and night. Overall a great stay and a beautiful spot!

Steven was incredibly communicative and kind—quick responses and flexible. I loved the apartment, it was large and full of natural light and amenities. The apartment is completely worth the money and it makes me glad the booking goes to a good cause. The streets can get quite noisy weekend evenings due to the close proximity to the bars so I would plan for that if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise 10/10 all around!

This was a great apartment! Me and my cat both loved the bright windows with a great open view. I used to live in Boston, and this isn't my favorite area to stay, but it was nice to explore more. It's a pretty safe area and very close to South Station. The bed was also fantastically comfortable :)

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do you like sleep? Then this place is not for you. There was drilling all night long right outside the bedroom. The insulation is paper thin, so I could not only hear it, but my bed was vibrating. Because of the poor insulation, the apartment was freezing cold. There was also no warm water in the shower. When I communicated this to the host, he was extremely rude and condescending. Said I was being “emotional” and that Boston “is a lively city” where overnight construction and drilling should be expected. I had to check into a hotel to sleep and shower. I was not given a refund. Strongly recommend you avoid this. I stayed at the Revolution hotel, which was warm, clean and quiet. There was also warm water in the shower. The Revolution hotel was also cheaper.

Great, quiet spot in the middle of financial district (perfect for ease of public transit and getting around). The instructions to get in are super easy and when you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy, well-lit corner unit apartment. Most of the apartment is pretty basic, but it’s very quiet, clean and comfortable. I did happen to experience unusually warm (more like hot weather) in the fall. The apartment for uncomfortably warm and the building already took the window ac units out. I let Steven know and he had 2 fans delivered the next morning to make it more manageable. Overall, would recommend if you’re looking for calm and cozy energy with ease of access to all Boston has to offer. (Also, booking this airbnb is helping support a really good cause which is an added benefit!)

Pros: Convenient location, is a prime advantage for those seeking accessibility to key areas. The smooth and efficient check-in process was another notable positive aspect, allowing for a hassle-free start to the stay. Cons: The cons were notable as well. Inadequate shower drainage proved to be a recurring inconvenience. The overpowering incense odor was an unpleasant surprise, impacting our stay negatively due to the affect it had on my breathing, which was something we tried to address with the owner. The presence of unfinished or aged elements, including mildew in bathroom caulk, incomplete paint jobs, and various minor issues, detracted from the overall quality of the accommodation. While the location and apartment aesthetics were initially appealing, the lack of responsiveness from the owner in addressing these issues gives me pause when it comes to recommending a return visit.
As with other reviews, I would add this is not a "luxury" unit. It's definitely comfortable and adequate, but it is old and rough around the edges. It's definitely loud with city noises, as one would expect in a big downtown area, but manageable with earplugs. The kitchen has all the tools you'd need. (There are even two microwaves.) The bed is comfortable, and the staff is communicative. It is on the 7th floor and the elevator is very small and old. I only used it when I had my suitcase, but was very glad to then. It's a workout the rest of the time. The location can't be beat. I was there for a conference down in Seaport and it was a nice 20 minute walk. The only thing that gave me pause as a single woman traveling by herself, there was no inner lock on the door. The only lock was the digital one. That meant (theoretically) that anyone with the code could walk in at any time. Having some sort of internal only lock on the door would have made me feel safer.
The good: - Location - Floors, towels, and sheets felt clean - Easy check in - Cool apartment The Bad: - Shower didn't drain properly - Bedroom window A/C unit needed cleaning and seemed to have some mold growing - Unfinished or old details like bathroom caulk being mildewy, unfinished paint, and a few more minor details. I don't know that I would recommend staying here again which is a shame. I liked the location and apartment itself, but it felt like the owner could put a day or two of work into the place with and have an incredible airbnb in the financial district. For me the details like mildew and a poorly draining shower are so easy to fix, but have been overlooked.

Steven's apartment is in such an amazing part of downtown Boston. Everything needed was in walking distance. The apartment itself is really comfortable as well. The only issue was the bed felt a little unstable at times, but that's pretty much the only (very minor) complaint. I'd recommend this apartment to anyone!

The listing does not provide accurate information. The location is great and convenient to lots of areas such as the waterfront, Boston Common and the North End. Steven and team were prompt to respond to our messages but only with apologies and NO solutions. The building is very old. The apartment is not “luxury”- far from it. The floors are scratched and stained; the heating vents are broken and hanging off; several of the blinds are broken and should have been replaced; the slats in the bed are broken and it shifts to the left. There were occasions where we had no hot water. This unit is in the 7th floor. You are not told this until you receive check in information. We were notified the afternoon of arrival that the elevator in the building was out. This was our first stop in a 10 day trip so our luggage was substantial. I asked to be relocated with no resolution. Climbing 6 flights of narrow, spiraling stairs multiple times each day was less than desirable. Broken ironing board

Really great stay in the middle of Boston. Agreed with other reviews that the bedroom was a touch loud, but as to be expected in a city. Definitely want to note that the elevator is really tight, with the only other option being spiral stairs up 7 flights! Just know that going in. Amazing accessibility to the T Aquarium station and Harbor Walk, and close enough to walk to from South Station if you’re coming on Amtrak!

First time to Boston. Loved the location! I may not describe unit as luxury but it was clean and comfortable. There is street noise but we expected that based on location. Unit is on 7th floor with spiral staircase and very small elevator....it was working, but we took the stairs! We did not need assistance, but felt Steven was responsive and provided timely communication. Thanks so much!
Overall, it's a nice apartment. We were here for the Boston Marathon weekend and lodging prices are ridiculous all over town, with this place following suit. The three areas we weren't pleased with were all well-communicated on the site. First, the check-in time is 5 p.m. We needed to pay $50 more for a 2 p.m. check-in time, which is about the time I'd expect as normal. Checkout is 10 a.m. Second, the apartment is on the 7th floor but that part of downtown tends to amplify street noise. We heard every part of the 2 a.m. drunken conversation. (The host does note that street noise can be an issue.) Third, the water heater is spotty. Taking a bath is a matter of timing. There was hot water most of the time. Host told us to either wait or maybe boil water. Plus notes - Host is very responsive. The apartment is comfortable with updated fixtures, nice sunlight and good space for an older building. The neighborhood is convenient. Overall - adjust expectations, but sure, stay here.
Ok so It’s downtown so the parking is awful good thing I asked prior to going so I was prepared. We stayed on the 7th floor and the elevator was straight out of a scary movie so my daughter and I as well as other guests staying in the building used the rinky dink spiral stairwell twice a day sometimes 3 times a day if I had to move my car. The apt had holes patched w/plaster in all the rooms I guess It was unnecessary for them to put a fresh coat of paint over the plaster. The neighborhood was so loud at night was difficult to fall asleep with all the drunken people from the restaurants and bars below. The bed was so uncomfortable as well as the pillows, we didn’t sleep well at all. The shower is so loud I’m sure you can hear it from down the block so don’t wait for the kids to fall asleep. The sheets smelled clean but the comforters & throw blankets for CERTAIN have not been washed ever, they smelled stale. Something positive…. It was walking distance to Faneuil Hall.
This apartment is exactly as advertised and the location is so amazing! Right next to lots of food options, a dispensary, and a 7/11 that was super convenient to pick up miscellaneous items. It’s also within walking distance of so many great attractions: Quincy Market, the Boston Common, Granary Burying Ground, and other pockets of the city. It’s obviously in the middle of downtown so city noise is to be expected at night, but I was completely fine sleeping with earplugs. The only downside I experienced was that the tub flooded very quickly with water so I had to let it drain a few times mid-shower. I’m not sure if it was clogged from a previous guest or if that’s just how it typically is. Also hot water is limited so that’s something to keep in mind. Other than that, it was a great stay and the hosting team is very proactive and responsive in their communication!

The place was in a great location. It was a little loud but quieter than I expected being that it is in the heart of the city. The elevator broke on the final day we were there and, being on the 7th floor, this was not ideal. Thankfully we live in NYC and are used to walk-ups, but for others not as comfortable with walking up 6 flights of stairs this is not great. Steven was very responsive the whole time.
In general the apartment was alright for a stay in Boston. The location is very great, as it is quite central. The check-in and as well the check-out were very easy. However, the check-in was only possible beginning from 5 pm, which is quite late. An earlier check-in is generally possible, but in our case it was not because of previous visitors. But what really bothered us was the fact that few windows were broken and definitely in need of maintenance. This caused very noisy nights and apart from that we were not able to close those windows, which is an absolute no-go (particularly facing the fact that the apartment ua located in the city centre). Also, this issue was not mentioned beforehand by the host.

Beautiful spot overlooking the city, it was honestly better than what we hoped for. We planned on just finding a place to have to sleep as we would be out and about, with the views as nice as they were we wanted to stay in just a bit longer. Very clean and has that Bostonian feel, has all the amenities you need. Will 100% come back next time I’m in Boston. Easy walk to plenty of touristic attractions as well.

The location of the apartment is great. There're good restaurants, and bars nearby as well and you don't really need to get on the metro. However, it does get a bit noisy at late night as there're a few bars around the corner, and people would shout or talk really loud on the street.
Pictures were very deceiving. Smell of cigarette smoke was noticeable. Apartment was smaller than expected with noticeable maintenance work needed. Also was not able to take a warm shower.

I came here for work. I had almost instant answer to any message regardless of time! And always nice and helful! The flat is very spacious, perfectly clean and comfortable. The wifi is pristine. The only downside is linked to its perfect location near harbourwalk in the financial district : it is very noisy outside, day and night ! But it was also mentioned in the description. However, I really liked the flat and the amazing communication somehow made me feel at home!
The one pro of this place is the location. It’s very walkable which we loved. The place itself is not nearly as nice as the pictures. The floor heat vents are falling apart, blinds don’t close all the way which is problematic when the lights are on outside all night. The elevator feels like it’s going to break, the microwave doesn’t heat, the toilet clogs, the shower doesn’t drain and it feels like you’re going to fall through the shower floor. The bed is sunken in on the right side and is very hard. There was a movie filming outside at night and they had a spotlight shining into the bedroom window which made it impossible to sleep. This isn’t the fault of the owners, but they could have let guests know about the filming in advance. The TV remote only worked half of the time. The ironing board is missing a leg so we had to lay it on a table where it wobbled while we tried to iron our clothes. For a couple hundred more, we could have stayed at a hotel and we wish we had.

Great location, but overall more negatives than positives. Positives: Fantastic location, easy checkin and spacious Negatives/ Warnings: Bed is VERY uncomfortable, suspect it to be damaged as it slants- you fall to either side of it when trying to lie down. Street noise and lights pretty bad due to street sweeping from 2am-7am- blinds aren’t good and the sound machine and earplugs provided doesn’t help at all. Intermittent sewage smell in the bedroom and living room which didn’t come from bathroom or street. Bathroom unclean. No coffee provided and salt and pepper shakers provided were empty. Summary: While the location and space is great, make sure to take into account the sound issues, unpleasant smells, and everything else. This listing is also described as “luxury” but it’s actually outdated (which is totally fine). There are plenty of things the host can do to fix the above, understand that you can’t make sound go away. However everything else considered, we left this Airbnb feeling pretty disappointed.
Location is amazing if you want a place right in the city center. Obviously you’ll need earplugs if you’re a light sleeper like me, but that’s expected for being in the heart of the city. Check in was easy. The place is older so I wouldn’t describe it as “luxury” but it was a nice spacious apartment that made me feel immersed into the city during my short stay. The bedding was clean and smelled great! This rental is overall a good pick for a fun comfortable experience.

**I would not stay here again, and would not recommend** CONS: The AC units were removed, but we stayed in mid-October when temperatures were still in the low 70s. The unit was very warm. The microwave did not heat any of our food/drinks at all. It was not working. On the last day, the ceiling started leaking in the bathroom. I understand it is an old building, but this was inconvenient, as we only had so many towels. PROS: The team gave very fast responses, but always said "we will report this to management" or "we will let management know and get back to you". They let us drop our bags off early without a fee, which was super helpful. It was walking distance to everything we wanted, and felt like a safe enough area.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I waited over two weeks to leave my review on this place in hopes they may resolve our issue, but it has not happened yet. So... This place is terrible! We were notified prior to check in that the elevator went out, which from other reviews seems to be a theme. Carrying suitcases up 7 floors that are essentially close to being a spiral staircase was not fun. The elevator didn't get back to working until halfway through our stay. Then the kicker was that the bed completely collapsed from just myself laying on it. There was prior damage to the support posts with screws being bent, posts cracked, and bent boards that fully gave way from just one person laying on the bed. Maintenance did not come to check on it for 16 hours and the guy essentially said it was cheap and would have to be replaced. Did they? Nope. We slept on a mattress on the floor for our stay and they said they'd be replacing the bedframe after our stay. At the time I asked to stay elsewhere close by or for the management group to compensate with a hotel room and they would not do it. We have had back and forth conversation for over 2 weeks now and they say they're waiting on management to resolve or to figure out if airbnb insurance will cover the issue. I'm pretty sure they're hoping I'll give up on it. Save yourself the trouble and spend your money elsewhere!

Location was great! Between the nearby train station and all the food and attractions within walking distance we had no need for a car. The apartment was comfortable and had enough space we never felt cramped. The bed was very comfortable but the beautiful windows led to very early morning bright sun. We bought some sleep masks at target (which we walked to) and slept like babies afterward. It is walking distance to the bay, shopping, pharmacies, convenience stores and more food options than you can process. I will caution if you have a fear of elevators (like me) you will be taking 7 flights of stairs. I personally liked this bc I was eating alllll the food and needed the exercise!

Great, central location in Boston with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Parking is walking distance away. Can walk to the TD garden very easily from here if you're catching a game! Our host had great communication for minor issues and questions we ran into.

I loved this place! It’s easy walking distance to Quincy Market and the North End. And only about a 10 minute walk to Boston Commons. The communication from the owner was great. Everything went just as expected.
The appartement is great, it contains all the amenities needed for a trip to Boston. The appartement is well located. Nevertheless, the noise from the street could be disturbing. So earplugs could be useful to sleep.
The apartment was exactly as described. I had price checked hotels and other Airbnbs and this price couldn’t be beat for space, convenience and location!!

Very good location! The elevator takes a while to come up/down, and it’s pretty small, so if you get scared by fitting into tight or small spaces you can just walk up the stairs!! The apartment was very nice, there are two doors that lead to the apartment, which I thought was cool. The amount of windows is how really nice because you can see through all angles at night and day! The kitchen area is quite nice, if you order delivery, you won’t need to worry about silverware, plates, or cups, it’s all there!! Even cooking pots and utensils if you want to chef it up! Very beautiful location, I would come here again.

Great value for the location and the residence. Lots of natural daylight through big windows in all rooms makes it a very comfortable and inspiring space. The building is older which is very charming and beautiful, especially the elevator. The neighborhood can be a bit noisy, as expected, but it offers quick and easy access to the train, in addition to many nearby restaurants, bars, and cafes. Check-in was extremely easy and Steven's detailed communication offered peace of mind. Thank you again for allowing me to stay.

Steven was great regarding communication; Always a quick response and courteous. The elevator wasn’t working so be prepared to walk up the stairs. In addition, there were nightly construction noises, so I Would recommend bringing earplugs. Besides some maintenance issues, the apartment was very spacious, clean, easy check in, and within walking distance to major attractions.
Phenomenal location, right in the heart of everything. We never had to drive. Walkable distance to absolutely everywhere. Amazing place as well. Only suggestion, don’t try to shower early morning. Older building= old plumbing. If you shower try to shower when everyone else in building is showering for work, you’ll be cold. Outside of that, absolutely nothing bad to say. Amazing stay and great host.

Steven was a wonderful host and the Airbnb couldn’t be in a better spot. We had no issues what so ever. From the moment we arrived Steven was quick and thorough in his response to whatever concern we had, whether with the Airbnb or the city in general.

Be aware that check in is 5pm- not 3 so the $50 extra charge for 2pm may in fact be worth it. 10am check out as well. A few unit issues that I communicated with owner to problem solve. We understand unit is old but needs some TLC in a big way. Location is great .
This apartment is in a great area in Boston. We had so much fun and were able to walk to pubs, restaurants, Quincy market, shops, and the harbor. We used Spothero for parking and didn't have any problems. It was a really fun get away.

If you’re looking for a central place in Boston I would recommend this place. The apartment is very spacious. The bed and couch are very comfortable. If you’re a person who doesn’t like walking up stairs then l wound not recommend this place. It is an older building which is normal for Boston. They have one small elevator that did work while l was there. Other than that the management company was super responsive and gave very clear instructions. I will definitely stay here again.

Great things: -AMAZING location. If you want to walk around and see the sights, this is a great place to be - central to everything and you never have to step foot on public transit if you don't want to. There's also a breakfast/lunch place just around the corner (Bean & Leaf) which is fantastic, and an incredibly cozy Irish pub about 2 minutes walk from the front door. There's also a little park just around the corner. Regarding location, we didn't find it exceedingly noisy, but we were visiting during a low season and were on the 7th floor, so that could contribute. I cannot stress enough how perfect the location is. We took the train from DC and from South Station it was just a 10 minute walk, and a leisurely and safe walk at that. The furthest we had to walk was 20 minutes to a different train station to catch the train to Salem. Additionally, this felt like a very safe area to us. Whether you're coming home at 3am from the Irish pub next door, or leaving super early in the morning for a walking tour, you're safe. It was also a very clean area. -The view from the apartment is great. The bedroom we had came with 6 windows (roughly) in a sort of half-circular room. You can open the window and get a great view from multiple angles. -Communication: Basically anything you need at any time, these folks will help you with. We had an issue with our heating needing to be reset, and they were communicative even until past 11pm to help us solve the issue. They gave us some troubleshooting tips until they were able to get the repairs finished (which were the very next day by the time we got back), and communicated every step of the way. -The entertainment on the TV was pretty good, it was nice to chill out there at the end of the day after walking around. -The apartment is really spacious for two people, which is great if you have a lot of luggage or are going to be staying for a bit longer. Alongside the spaciousness, the kitchen is really nice to have. All the stuff you need to cook is there, including a microwave and a fridge (for you to store your Cannolis in). -We didn't make use of the early check-in/late check-out, but we arrived late because our train was delayed and had no problems getting in with the instructions. -The bed was quite comfortable and massive with two huge reading lights next to it, complete with nice soft sheets. Could be better: -The apartment felt a little bit ramshackle: some of the heating vent covers were on the floor, some of the drawers were missing, a door had come off the closet and was laying in the closet, some lightbulbs didn't work (incl. the fridge light), the bathtub squeaked and felt a little unstable, the shower had a very loud high-pitched whine when on, and the hot water didn't last long, and some of the blinds looked a little worse for wear. -Our heating wasn't working for the first day or two, but this is where the A+ communication rating comes in. I was slow to let them know, as it wasn't super cold at first. When I did let them know, we were helped in the quickest and most professional way possible. Not only that, we were offered extra blankets for the night it was (obviously) too late for a repair person to come by, so that was very kind as well. -We had a random extra microwave in our kitchen that didn't work, which isn't really a big deal, but of course I tried the one that didn't work first 🤦🏼♀️ Keep note of: -The elevator is old school and tiny, so we only used it to bring our luggage up/down and every other time we came to the apartment, we walked the stairs (great for the glutes, we were on the 7th floor 💪🏻). I noticed some folks in their reviews said it wasn't working when they were there -- we didn't experience that, the elevator worked just fine for us, but I can definitely say that if the elevator isn't working, bringing your luggage up/down would be awful. -This is probably on me, but I read the listing and thought there was a washer/dryer in the apartment, but there's not :) I didn't need it, so I never found out if there is one in the building, but just keep in mind there is not one in your room so it must be somewhere in the building and you'll have to ask where that is. -We didn't experience any crazy noise, which could be due to low-season & being on the 7th floor, but this is definitely a busy area and your bedroom has windows all around it, so if you're a light sleeper do bring earplugs. In any case, no noise would shoo me away from this place -- I would just buy the earplugs because it's worth it for the other pros. -Be mindful of the hot water -- it goes VERY quickly. If there are 2 of you, you'll probably be fine and get 25-35 minutes of hot water showering consecutively, but if there's more of you or if someone is a super long shower person, just know that you'll want to give it some time to heat up again. Overall: We definitely recommend this place if you're in Boston to see the sights!

Anyone would love this location and this cute apartment. It's a cozy place, with large window views of the skyline & felt just like home. We had a small issue with windows not closing all the way, which I think will be corrected for the next guests, but could be an issue if it gets really cold. The host had excellent communication and worked hard to correct the window issue as much as they could & we were made happy. The place was clean and very centrally located.

It’s a very convenient location where you can walk anywhere downtown! You can also find great places to eat nearby. The layout of the apartment is nice and comfortable. The furniture is somewhat spartan and humble. It will be very loud on the weekends, as sound seems to strangely carry very clearly into the apartment. Management was very responsive and fast in their communication. I had a nice stay and loved the views too!
The location for this apartment can't be beat in downtown Boston. Everything is a short walk or subway trip away. It had everything I needed for a short, comfortable stay.

This place is centrally located in the financial district, super easy to walk to a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops around. It is downtown so it is a bit noisy but that is to be expected and was not bothersome. The apartment itself is really spacious and has a full kitchen. The bed was fairly comfortable. You are on the seventh floor so thankfully there is an elevator. They do allow for a late check out for an additional $50 fee which was convenient.
Great location within walking distance of several attractions, including Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Old State House, and Long Wharf. Building felt safe with keyless entry at the main door and apartment door. Elevator is quite small since the building is older but it worked fine. Temperatures were unseasonably warm for October and window AC units had already been removed so the apartment got quite warm during the day but cooled off at night with opening windows and using a fan. Otherwise apartment was spacious and we enjoyed our stay.
This was a great place to stay! The location is wonderful and the apartment was clean with a beautiful view. We would definitely stay again. Communication was super quick and the pictures and descriptions of the apartment were spot on.
Very nice location in downtown, walkable to MANY attractions. The building is old, so be aware of that. Older shower that makes a lot of noise. We thought the bed was comfortable and being downtown, the apartment was pretty quiet. A few cons we had were: the microwave did not work and on inspection of other reviews, this seems to be a reoccurring issue and has not be fixed. The dishwasher had a very bad odor, and the window air conditioner filter needed to be replaced when we arrived. We thought this should have been inspected and replaced prior to us being there.

Very large space for a downtown apartment located near EVERYTHING in downtown Boston. They have a very functional kitchen and I was to cook meals for myself since I have many food allergies. Trader Joes a half mile away! Loved the convenience, location and the large apartment space! Would definately stay again!
After a 50 year absence from my hometown of Boston, we stayed at 120 Milk St. on the 7th floor. The location allows for immersion in one of Boston's most historical locations and within close by walking distance of the same; waterfront, Haymarket Square, the North End, and all points beyond. Historical sites, restaurants and night clubs close enough to the front door. The potential for this apartment is outstanding. The facility was okay at best and with some attention to detail, the unit could be a gem for travelers wishing to spend time in Boston and see the many great things this city has to offer.
Awesome location in the financial district. Very easy walk to most locations including the north end of the city. Apartment was in a pretty cool older building, very clean. Easy check in process and host was extremely responsive with questions. Awesome first time in Boston!
First thing is first, this apartment is on the 7th floor and the elevator broke a couple of days into our stay... it was not fixed during our stay so for the remainder of our trip we had to go up and down 7 flights of stairs to go anywhere, even pick up delivery food. This alone was such an inconvenience that we would not stay here again and even considered leaving to a hotel. The elevator broke on Saturday morning, we checked out Monday morning and it was still not fixed, nor did we ever see anyone coming to work on it or received further information about when we could expect it to be fixed. We had to carry our luggage down 7 flights of stairs. The microwave also does not work so there's no way to heat up food other than the stove. There are no thoughtful touches, not even packets of sugar for coffee at the apartment. The location is really great but that's basically it. Would not recommend and would not stay here again based on these issues. The place was clean though and check in was easy. There's a Hilton two blocks down and I'd suggest staying there instead.

The place was very much like in the picture. It was clean and in the great location you basically can walk everywhere or ride a T where the station is just 10 min away. Definitely will come back.

Perfect location for a trip to Boston, clean, good communication& streamline check-in process.
We stayed Friday - Tuesday. Friday and Saturday night street noise was VERY loud. If you aren't there to party and want to sleep, or, like us, if you are bringing kids, beware of the noise. Sunday and Monday night were much better. The elevator is comically small. If you have a stroller you have to fold it to get in and out. There were fruit flies there when we arrived. The apartment was clean enough, but it's clear that very little care has gone into this place. the blinds on the windows are mismatched, broken and dirty, the furniture is cheap, appliances are old, etc. We got this for the location, but now having been to Boston, we know how walkable the city is. Next time we'll stay in a quaint area like Beacon Hill. This is close to a lot, but lacks charm. Its a bit depressing. Finally, we got the strong sense that this entire building is Airbnb'd, rendering it an unregulated motel. The staff were fairly responsive through the app, but many of our questions were indirectly answered or had confusing language that made it feel like the staff are not even in Boston. It felt shady. Not the worst experience, but certainly not a 5-star stay.

An absolutely wonderful location! It is spacious, economical and a great view of the city. It was a .25 mi walk from Quincy market and the aquarium! We were able to park our car in a close parking garage for the entire weekend and eliminate the stress of driving in the city. What a wonderful place to stay!

Location is perfect for anyone wanting to park their car close by and walk to the common sights of Boston during their stay. Uber is great for going longer distances from the apartment if needed. Apartment is clean and the building is pretty quiet. Note that on weekends outside noise from local bar goers is common. Great communication and easy check in/check out process. Would definitely stay again!

Stay here if you want a great location, its super central to everything touristy in Boston. The place is nice but no amount of good decorating is covering up how old it is. The vents around the floor were falling apart constantly and we unfortunately happened to arrive on the HOTTEST day in Boston only to find out the window unit was in the bedroom only (take note, in the pictures posted you don't even see a window unit ac which is a bit misleading, I assumed there would be central air). Steven was super nice and did manage to get a window AC installed later that week in the living room. But two days of heat in the living room was not fun. We also had issues with one of the windows not staying up and falling down. Again, Stevens team was super responsive and helped right away which was great. Cleanliness wise, the place was alright. Probably not the deepest clean, we did manage to find some trash in the kitchen. I think the bigger issue was there were a few nails lying around in the bedroom closet which normally I wouldn't care but I brought my cat so I had to go around the apartment making sure nothing else was lying around. Also lots of dust underneath and behind the bed. Another small thing, and this is fully my fault but I had forgotten some chocolate, like brand new chocolate in the fridge. Two of them were in wooden boxes with ribbons on them. I contacted Steven and he asked for a $50 dollar shipping fee but then also said his cleaning team threw them out (really?). Another small thing to note is the elevator is veryyy old and slow and the unit is on one of the top floors. Just keep a few minutes in mind when calling ubers/taxis. Overall, if you're not super picky this place is probably fine. Location again is great, but with all the issues I was having I'm not sure I would stay here again even though Steven's team was very responsive and helpful it was not the best experience.

When we walked in the apartment was impeccably clean and smelling really good! The apartment is a good size, kitchen is equipped, good Wi-Fi, the TV has all the apps you need. Overall has a very homey feeling and the location can’t be better, has everything you need in a walking distance. I will stay at Milk St. anytime is available when we come to Boston!

The place was great and any question I had they responded very quickly. I even had an issue with my bank account getting hacked so there was issue with payment. They were very patient as I handled it and gave me to fix it. Location also great !
starting with the front of the building, the elevator was so small and the door would only open half way when it was only big enough for one person to fit through anyway. nothing in the unit worked. the heat did not work, the lights in the place besides the living room did not work. there was a lot of dust in the unit. sticky counter tops. hair on the bathtub walls. the freezer fan had no cover on it. the tv did not work. the side lights in the bed room did not work. the outlets in the bedroom did not work. i took photos and videos and sent them to support. i went to the 2nd floor where the hosts office was and noone came to the door. then i was asked to pay 450$ because they said their cleaning personal had to knock on the door many times. when they only came up once and we told her we were leaving in half an hour. we left in less time. i was getting messages of they were going to have the police come and oull me and my child out of the unit, when we were long gone. i never get a unit with no reviews but it was the middle of the night and i had my child.

When I booked the reservation I told Steven the host that I was using his rental as a quiet place for a teleconference and that a good internet signal was vital for my stay. He assured me that he had good internet and I even brought an ethernet cable with me as back up. The first night I arrived, the internet service went out. I was in the middle of watching a show when the signal cut out and I could not get it back. The only options for TV were streaming apps and since neither my laptop nor the TV showed any bars available, it was pretty clear it was the internet. I was able to get on two other units' wifi signals but this was not ideal as I had to bounce back and forth between different units when one signal would drop me. When we e-mailed via the AirBnB app the first night, he told me he was going to call management and would get back to me the following day. The next day I was able to log on to my teleconference bouncing back and forth between 2 different wifi signals. When the conference was over, I tried the TV and there was still no signal. He had not followed up on his note that he was calling management the entire day so I reached out to him. This was now a full 24 hours after my initial request with no response from the host. When I resumed our conversation again, he asked for the entire story again. I get the sense that I was dealing with multiple people because the conversation the next day was very repetitive - asking the same questions, telling me the same things, etc. Again, another statement that he was calling management the next day. He insisted that it wasn't his fault and that he would call management - this was now the 2nd time he'd said that after not calling them the first time he said he would - to fix it the next day - a full 2 days after I initially notified him. I told him I didn't really care whose fault it was, I just needed it fixed as it was affecting my conference. That's when he told me I could leave. I assume from his response that it wasn't ever going to be fixed. If it was so easy to fix, why not call management the first time he said he would? Or move me to a different unit? He got me on the other unit's wifi so he must have multiple units in the building. There was no attempt to fix it. His solution was to tell me to leave. There's no way that that host follows proper cleaning protocols , which is dangerous in the era of Covid. When I went to put my dishes in the dishwasher the morning of my check-out, as instructed, there were still dirty dishes in there from the previous renter. And wine stains on the bottom of the dishwasher. All I really wanted - and as I told the host from the get go - was a quiet place with internet. I made myself very clear on that point. Instead, I got spotty internet, rude service and a dirty, cold apartment. I've had many good experiences with AirBnB hosts but this is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a rental.

Place is very old, windows were very thin, internet was very slow..rack was broken in the bathroom, they say they go above and beyond but they don’t. Spend your money else this place isn’t worth it, plain and simple.
Great stay, real nice location by downtown. We were able to walk and see a lot by foot which was awesome. Only downside was the unit was missing some basic amenities like dish soap & sponge to clean dishes. Besides that it was comfy, great space & location.
Steven's place was definitely safe, was located in the perfect area, and the communication was stellar! However when my friend's and I got to the apartment we felt as though we had ordered authentic Mexican tacos but instead received taco bell. Unfortunately, some items in the photos didn't appear in real life like the lamp, the plant, various window shades, etc. Also the towel rack was broken/missing in the bathroom and there were bits of tile remaining on the floor. Overall, my friends and I just couldn't stop saying "ugh this place has so much potential too".
Decently sized apartment for a couple or small group. Exceptionally clean and great location in the city. Had some minor inconveniences with the WiFi, TV, and elevator but the host was quick to respond and fix the issues. Overall a nice place to stay for the price.

We originally booked one of the other units that Steven has in the same building. However, when we checked in, we had a small issue with one of the windows not closing. Steven’s solution was to move us to this unit in the same building with the same layout! It was perfect and Steven’s response was quick. The building is older so don’t surprised by the elevator (it does work!), but his unit has some updated features and the space is plenty for two people. The location can’t be beat. There’s reasonable parking nearby and we were able to walk everywhere we went in Boston’s north end - wonderful food spots, bars, and history to be explored!
The good: Spacious! Nice location. Food and drink are available at multiple businesses nearby. Also within walking distance to most of downtown Boston. The not-so-good: I was underwhelmed by the environment and the lack of care from the host(s). I specifically wanted to catch the NFL game while out of town, but despite the listing stating cable TV was available, I was not able to watch the game. Upon messaging the host, Steven, about the issue, he told me "we do not have cable" and that I'd just have to figure out myself how to work the cable he didn't have. (Of interest, his framed welcome letter on the wall says they will "go above and beyond to ensure all our guests enjoy their stay and to provide the best quality customer service possible.") I ended up having to go spend money at a nearby bar to watch the game. So with him blowing me off like that (he later also ignored my money request via AirBNB which AirBNB did reimburse me for), it didn't seem useful for me to mention to him any of the other issues: The people in the next room partied loudly until just after midnight the first night of my stay, with people coming and going from there constantly and nearly shouting in the hallway. Due to the window A/C unit, the noise that came through from the street unfortunately also woke me up multiple times over the next evenings. The tub drained extremely slowly. The bathroom's towel rod had been busted off or otherwise removed, and the shower/bath area, some wall/ceiling paint, and some heat registers could use some work; it seemed like a few upkeep projects had been abandoned. I located the thermostat but couldn't tell if it had any effect on the heat or not. A miniature/toy trashcan in the bathroom was the only obvious waste receptacle until you turn the corner at the back of the kitchen, around and past the taped-up door there, and see the full-sized trash can in the empty space. The wifi ID/PW that is framed on the coffee table is incorrect, so that was initially confusing until I referenced the electronic message with the correct information. (And finally, though perhaps neither here nor there, the artwork in the main room was not a heart but was a blurry photo of a guy's hands holding a lit cigarette which was puzzling.) At nearing $200 a night, I don't believe I should have had the these issues. I've stayed [with a friend] in nicer AirBNBs in decent locations that have helpful hosts for less money.

Great place and walking distance to a lot of great things. Easy to access and close to parking garages. Can get really warm in the summer so you might need to stick to the bedroom as that is where the AC is located. Can use some cosmetic improvements here and there but overall a nice apartment. All of the appliances worked well. Did have some problems trying to connect to wifi, the host did a great job trying to troubleshoot the problem but we ended up having to connect to another room, which worked but was not very fast. Overall the location and atmosphere the place provided was well worth it.
I hope you like to climb stair because you will need to at this place. His ad says elevator but the elevator doesnt work and I was told by someone else coming down the stairs that it hasnt worked for a very long time. There is so hand soap, dish soap or central air conditioning. There is a very small air conditioner in the bedroom that barely cools the place down. I will not be booking here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone

Great communication, building access was easy, and the nearby parking garage was a short walk, good pricing and secure. It's also a short (20min) walk to BCEC.
This was a great apartment close to public transportation and the downtown area of Boston. Great for a couple or solo traveler that is looking to explore the area!
Clean and stylish apartment in the Financial District. Easy walk to Downtown, the North End and Seaport Districts. Some 24-hour construction going on creates some noise, but that's pretty common throughout the city.

Decent, older place right in downtown Boston financial district. Had everything I needed for a short visit (clean towels, bed, etc) although it didn’t have that homely feel like most Airbnb’s.
We check-in to an uncleaned apt. WiFi does not work, bathroom has a terrible smell, fixtures (including toilet seat and mirrors) are broken, fridge has a very loud noise caused by an exposed fan - literally an industrial fan without any covering) windows are broken allowing in construction noise that starts at 5am, oh and the building elevator safety certificate is expired..
Really amazing host. I booked day of and they were very accommodating to our situation. Incredible location! Less than a 5 minute want to resturants and bars. ? we loved our stay!

Location was perfect for walking around and finding yummy spots to eat/explore. We got lucky and immediately found a parking spot to the front, however, I believe most spots in the area are metered spots and hard to find. The place was way larger than anticipated, older than it looked in the pictures, but spotless! I booked the spot apx four hours before my arrival and the directions were clear and easy to follow. One minor issue that hopefully gets fixed soon is a loud noise when the shower head is turned on. A few things to note that did not let me sleep well: children reside right above this unit and were running around until at least 8pm on a Sunday night, later that night the nightlife crowd was very audible since the bedroom faces toward the street/bars, and the next morning I woke up to a strong smell of marijuana flowing through the vents. I did acknowledge "nightlife at night" as stated in the other things to note section, but did not think it would protrude that loudly and echo into the bedroom because I did not know prior to my arrival that it faced towards that area. I also understand that the children running around and the smell coming through the vents is out of the host's control, but it is something important that I think should be noted as well.
This apartment is a wonderful space, nicely decorated space in a GREAT location. So walkable to everything around! This property is large/ spacious with a full kitchen, living area, dining area, and separate bedroom. This property would be a perfect long-term stay for two people. While the apartment building itself was quiet, the outside was very loud. If you have issues with noise be aware that construction outside of the building continued for most of the night and there is street noise. The space is neatly decorated but does need some maintenance upkeeping, which we have notified the hosts of.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
