Enough private spaces and bathrooms for each guest and lovely clean home with spacious gathering areas. Easy entrance without needing to carry around a key. Location is so close to shopping centers and restaurants. Highly recommend

Great place in a great location. I booked this for my coworkers to come visit Boston and they really enjoyed the place and location. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. It just has your basic necessities but worth the stay! FYI there are a lot of stairs and the elevator wasn't working. Not a problem for us but may be one if you need help with stairs/have a stroller.

I visited with a group of my friends for my 30th birthday. The Airbnb was very spacious, even more than what the pictures showed. It was very clean and the rooftop was added bonus with nice views. The surrounding area was safe and easily walkable. There were great restaurants a short Uber away as well the train station for day trip to Salem. The only thing I will say is parking was a little difficult but we were able to use spot hero to stay in a nearby lot. I would definitely stay again!

This place was great! We had a small group but this unit could easily sleep 8-10 people with plenty of room. Great location, very close to Fenway and a quick Uber ride to other areas of the city. Loved this place! Modern, clean, spacious! Safe area, quiet, good working A/C, fans in each room, nice linens. We walked to shopping and restaurants on Newbury Street, to parks and colleges, and to museums, markets and Fenway. Our family of 7 loved this Airbnb. Only downside is 8 flights of stairs and the pillows are a bit too tall, but the awesome location and rooftop deck make this place pretty special! Also, right next to the T!

Be prepared for lots of stairs. Was a pleasant place to stay and hang out between forays into Boston. AC worked well, which was a necessity for 6 Alaskans suffering under 90 degree heat and high humidity. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive to requests.
The space was much larger than we expected. Steven and team were very responsive and friendly. Great location - ten minute walk to Fenway and the shops and restaurants on Newbury. This area of Commonwealth is quieter and seemed to have less traffic. We loved that our Ubers always seemed to have an open curb to pull up to for our large group to get in. Roof deck had amazing views of the Fourth of July fireworks over the Charles River. Multiple sky lights have the apartment common area filled with natural light.

Steven’s unit was perfect for our group of 7. Plenty of space for everyone and walkable to so many places. It is 100% worth the 4 story walk upstairs. We didn’t use the kitchen or other amenities, as we were on the go for the duration of our very short trip. We would love to come back and spend more time here. Thank you!

Wow! Spent the weekend with family and the location was awesome! We walked to Fenway in literally 5 minutes! We easily visited great shopping, restaurants and of course historic places of interest. We used the nearby convenient subway, uber and our legs! The interior of the rental was spacious, uncluttered and tastefully decorated. After a great day out exploring Boston, it was so nice to come back and chill in the large family room. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at this place for one night in order to extend a work trip, catch a game at Fenway, and see the city. The place was great, and if you fill up the unit then it would be very affordable. Since we checked out of a hotel that morning, we had luggage to deal with and since check in is not until 5pm (unless you pay more for early check in), then you have to find other options for your luggage. Which we did, we used the app Bounce and left our bags for a few hours while we checked out the city. However, since we could not check in until 5pm, and we had a game to attend around that time, we dropped off the bags into the unit and made our way to the game. Then after the game we came back to the unit and slept. Check out is also early 10am (unless you pay more for late check out). So by the time we woke up and got ready it was time to leave the unit. Wish the check in and out hours were more like a hotel and you did not get charged more for that convenience. Overall, great place

We had a wonderful experience- communicative hosts and a spectacular place! We were in town with family - a party of 6 adults, 2 kids and were able to spread out and each have our own sleeping space. The space was as described and really inviting! Very centrally located and easy for transit. We were able to luckily pull up, unload and the. Find a spot for our car using Spot Hero, just a few blocks away.

Very spacious accomodations. Our party of four had ample room and found the bathroom arrangement to work out well. The location was very convenient and central to where we needed to access.
The apt is clean/spacious but not luxury. The location is excellent. The rooftop is special and a great find. What wasn’t luxury: In the kitchen there was no blender, no magic bullet and not even a whisk. When I inquired a new whisk was delivered the next day. No measuring spoons/measuring cup. Searched hi and low for a pot holder. Nothing. I reached out and was told someone would drop off the next day. There was no drop off. When I reached out again to inquire I was completely ghosted for another 24 hours. Crickets. No response. That is not a luxury apartment. Most luxury airbnbs at least have a salt and pepper shaker. Nothing. The furnishings are post college/first apt feel. I’m petite and the NOT luxurious shower towel barely wrapped around me. Just one shower, hand and wash towel per person. Excellent linens but not one blanket in the entire apt. I reached out & was directed to a closet where there were extra sheets and one extra duvet. Shampoo-conditioner in ONE tube NOT LUXURY

Our family of 8, three adult children and partners, all loved the location, walkable to Newbury St, and one block from the T. Two of our kids went to Boston college and loved the location of the apartment. The apartment was very spacious, so we didn’t feel crowded. A couple of things, for such a nice apartment and the price, we were disappointed that the kitchen wasn’t stocked with basics like salt and pepper, oil, and no extra paper towels. And as other reviews stated, lots of steps, so if you have a bad knee, might not be the place for you. But, we enjoyed our stay very much.

We got so lucky to find this listing was available- it made it easy for 4 colleagues to attend a conference and have a luxurious space to convene, while also having ample space to ourselves and enough privacy. The roof deck is such a wonderful asset to the property- we wish that the weather had cooperated a bit more for us to enjoy it! The only challenge is with the number of stairs, which is laid out clearly in the description and we were prepared for. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Steven’s place was perfect for my group of four friends. The living space was comfortable and the bedrooms were all nicely appointed. The location was close to restaurants and shopping. One tip for future renters - shower early if you can. Two of us attempted to shower mid day and there was no hot or even warm water.

The host was very responsive to all of my questions. While the unit could use a new coat of paint on the walls and ceiling, it was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds for my entire family.
This was one of best airbnb I’ve stayed in. My friends and I needed quick accommodation for a funeral that was quite tragic, and Steven’s place was warm, inviting, and had plenty of space for us to chat and hang out as well as privacy when we needed alone time. The place is in a great location and is really quite large. It was a large roof deck that was great to hang out on. Beds were all comfy with nice linens. My only caveat for others is that the place does not have any basic food items, including things like salt and pepper. You will either buy everything or eat out every meal.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were 4 people and each had our own room. The place is really big and is spread over 2 floors. The common living space is big and open. Only thing you need to know Is that there are a lot of stairs!!!

Took the train into North Station and ubered to the apartment, walking distance to Fenway, Newbury St. and resteraunts. Steven communicted on a regular basis and check in was a breeze. The apartment is sizable and clean. The private rooftop balcony is phenomenal. The green line is just at the end of the block. Fenway is less than a 10 minute walk. There are several restaurants close. We definitely would stay again. There are some things to be aware of. The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator. When you get into the apartment door, there is another flight of stairs to the living space, then another flight of stairs to the master bedroom. I logged 44 flights climbed on my watch in two days. This is a no frills space. It is in need of paint and bathroom repair. They provide utensils, pans, a toaster, coffee maker, and kettle; but no coffee, tea, spices, condiments, etc. It is a loud city apartment and parking is challenging. We had people (possibly maintenance) use the keypad and enter the apartment which was pretty scary. The owner was apologetic, responding immediately. They had the code changed quickly for us.

The stay was great and we were very satisfied. There was almost an issue when the host asked us to relocate to another location minutes after the check-in time. Their reason was that they were painting the apartment. I communicated that it was irresponsible for them to relocate us with such a late notice, and that our agenda was planned all around this location. The host apologized and told us we wouldn't have to relocate after all, and we checked in smoothly.

We had stayed in another of Steven properties and it was great. This is why this property is disappointing. Since we entered the building, the entrance had garbage and flies. The entrance of the apartment also left us with an awful impression, the walls and ceiling’s where stained, holes on the walls, the door locks inside didn’t work properly and some were very loose. The apt is in need of maintenance and renovations. Unfortunately, we saw in the kitchen and living room cockroaches which left us with a very unpleasant experience. The ceiling in the master bedroom has a very large humidity stain and the paint is falling off. We gave it two stars because of the location is great and the beds were comfortable, but the overall feeling of the state of the apt is a bit run down, doesn’t match perfectly the photos. It was not worth the high premium price we paid for the stay.
Easy in and out, comfortable accommodations, exactly what we needed. Parking an issue if you’re driving. No elevator an issue for those that are older and/or are traveling with a number of bags (we were in the top floor!). In fairness, I did not ask about either (elevator or parking).

A fabulous apartment in a brilliant location with a great roof terrace . Only downside is the lack of lift/elevator for people with mobility problems as it is on the top floor. But overall a wonderful place to stay.

The Large 4 bedroom place with multiple baths is good for groups. The house has a 3 story walk up, so be prepared for that. It’s quiet enough even though the highway is a block away. The roof space is good during warmer weather. Some minor repair issues, but the house is in good condition.
Great location. Quite spacious. The host is very easy to communicate with. Roaches are the only problem. We saw two roaches in the kitchen during our stay.
This was an amazing place, we had so much space to spread out split over 2 levels. We had some issues with a leak but someone came over quickly to help with that. It’s a beautiful apartment.

Nice place, I can only imagine how fun it is during the summertime in Boston. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing (I don't think I saw the memo)... it's about 40-50 stairs to get to the apartment. I don't think this would have stopped me from booking, but I would have just liked to know. Carrying luggage and groceries didn't make this an easy feat at all :)

What an AMAZING place for 4 friends to gather together. Location was perfect - easy walk to Fenway and tons of restaurants including some good options right downstairs / on the block. When we tired of sightseeing, we could relax in the space which was very comfortable for four adults, all with our own bathroom. We loved the cool vintage building vibe (word to the wise: bring your quads because the stairs are no small feat, especially lugging a giant suitcase.) The apartment was super clean with lovely decor. The upstairs bedroom is huge and feels like it's own space...this is nice for those that want some added privacy. Rooftop was just beautiful overlooking the city. Would be really lovely in the fall when the leaves are showing color in the park. Steven was very communicative prior to check in and throughout our stay. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

Sophisticated design and very comfortable bedding make this an apartment that we were always happy to come back to after long days organising our son’s move to the city. The efficiency of the property managers was especially commendable : they responded in real time to any questions we had. The keyless doors are a big plus too.

We rented this place for a Sox game and it was really perfect. Like a 10 minute walk to Fenway, and great location in general. Easy directions to check in and and great communication from the host. The apartment is spacious and in a perfect location in the city. Our group of friends enjoyed 2 nights there while attending concerts at Fenway park, which is a short walk away. We could even hear the sound check for the concerts from the rooftop deck, which was a great spot to wind down after getting home. There is some deferred maintenance but that didn’t affect our enjoyment of the property, and the hosts were very responsive throughout the process. We’d love to stay again should we be in the city with a large group again in the future.
Overall great location, 10min walk from Fenway. That apt is spacious, beds were comfy and it accommodated six adults well. The roof top was fantastic though it would have been nice to have chairs with the table, seat cushions for the sofa and working deck lights. The phots are outdated. It’s a much older apt than advertised, and needs some TLC: Water damage on ceilings, exposed wires/outlets, tiles missing in bathrooms, kitchen lacked basic amenities, bath curtains fell down daily, most furniture doesn’t match the photos and front door doesn’t often work which required assistance from the downstairs pizza shop employees to get into the building. Also worth noting it’s a 4th floor (60 step) walk up, elevator doesn’t work.

Great location especially if you plan to head to Fenway for a ballgame. It is an easy 10 minute walk! It was spacious and accommodating for our group of seven adults. The roof top was cool though it would have been nice to have chairs up there to go with the tables. The patio sofa was not big enough for all of us. Overall it was good. Lots of steps which didn’t bother us but might deter some. Easy to access public transport. Would recommend!
The location is perfect!! It’s an older apartment, so a bit dated with some ceiling water damage and general wear and tear. The age of the apartment, stairs, and local smoke shop are too be expected in a downtown city apartment. Overall enjoyed our stay very much! Again, location can’t be beat. The oven door had by shattered by previous guests, and would be a safety issue for kids younger than ours. We notified immediately and hope that is resolved quickly for future renters.
Very clean, reasonably roomy, and has a wonderful roof-top deck. Good for a group of four people without the need of sharing a bed. Close to Boston College and Fenway Park. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely try to stay here again.

Place could be great but needs major TLC/investment. Also there are a ton of stairs so do not rent if stairs are an issue. Place was in disrepair and not that clean. Location and rooftop were very good. Lobby of the building was dirty and 2 smoke shops on block was not consistent with high price they charge for this apartment.
The stay in this maisonette was fantastic. There is more than enough room for four people and if the weather had been better we could have used the roof terrace as well. The location is great. Overall a real recommendation.
This space is awesome if you are staying in the Fenway area. It is great for a larger party, with enough space to ensure that no one feels on top of each other. It was very clean, and the check-out instructions were not as extensive as some other AirBnBs. The rooftop was such an added treat. Would definitely stay there again!
The apartment is very large, spacious and full of natural light. The beds were comfortable. There were three good sized bathrooms. The size was a good fit for 7 adults. The roof top patio was fabulous. Gorgeous views of the city. The location was good for us. A few drawbacks are that it is a fourth floor walk up. The walk up would not work for someone who is not in fairly good health or for a family with children. There is an elevator but it does not work. Also the apartment was not well supplied with basic amenities such as paper towels, dish washing soap, laundry soap, napkins, placemats, coat hangers. We had to go to a store and purchase a coffee maker, which they did reimburse us for. Also there are only glasses and bowls for 5 people, no wine glasses. We contacted the host and they brought us some paper towels and some champagne flutes. The furniture is rather unsteady. We also saw roaches. Possibly this is a new listing for our host. He seemed surprised about the lack of amenities. I feel he will rectify these issues very soon before others encounter this. He did try to help but it just didn't work out. All my communications with the host left me feeling like he is an upstanding person who truly wants to do the right thing.
Such a great location and plenty of space. Roof top is awesome and the upstairs room had a perfect work desk for those who need to work remotely. Lots of stairs, but who doesn’t need to walk off all that Boston food! Would highly recommend and would stay again.
Stayed here for a few nights for a wedding weekend and had an amazing time. The Airbnb was spacious, clean and in a great location. We were in Boston on a lovely weekend and got to take advantage of the gorgeous roof deck. Steven was a very responsive host. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. We also liked having the option to check-in early for a reasonable fee. Would highly recommend staying here with a group!

Phenomenal location and beautiful property! Host was very attentive and prompt in all communications both before and during our stay. 5 minute walk to Fenway made going to a ballgame a breeze. Cannot beat the location, rooftop, and space in this apartment. We had 8 women on our trip and everyone had plenty of space and bathroom access. Beds are very comfortable. Our coffee maker was missing but the hosts were very accommodating and bought us coffee to fix the situation. Highly recommend, just be prepared for stairs!

This is a great place to stay in a fantastic location. The spacious open layout of the main living area worked perfectly for our needs for a small business retreat. We also loved the rooftop. The neighborhood is close to so many sights. Super walkable. The only slight negative is a lot of stairs to get to and around the unit, but that helped offset the delicious meals we had at several local restaurants.
It is hard to find a new way to articulate all of the already wonderful reviews -- they're all true! We enjoyed staying at this home SO much! My colleagues and I were in town for a meeting and the house was less than a mile from our meeting center at Boston University. It was simply perfect. Easy access to the meetings, wonderful food all around, and a great place to be able to come "home" to at the end of a long day of meetings. The space is so roomy and inviting that while we all had our own space where we could escape to if needed, we spent most of our time around the kitchen table chatting and brainstorming about work. The view from the roof is absolutely stunning and we spent a couple of hours up there just chatting on the fortunate sunny day that we had. Steven was so quick to respond that there were a couple of times that I didn't immediately see his reply because he was so quick! He was accommodating and helpful and check in was a breeze. The only challenge we faced was that the beds were incredibly comfortable which proved to be quite difficult when trying to get up and moving every morning! I would actively look for an excuse to return to Boston just to stay here again.
Great place to stay
Great location for touring schools in Boston. We stayed here for a recent visit to look at colleges. Boston University is just blocks away and Northeastern is a short walk. We walked downtown, but if we wanted the Kenmore T station is just a block away. It is also just steps away from Fenway. Apartment is spacious and comfortable.

My friend group stayed here for a weekend and it could not have been better. The place is even bigger than it looks in the pictures with multiple floors and a roof deck. Steven was quick to respond and the entire process from check-in to check-out was seamless. The location is awesome and easily accessible to all parts of Boston. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough if you have a large group and are looking for a run place to stay in the city.

Nice place to say no complaints and in a great location
The apartment had some real positives: it’s spacious, very pretty, and has a fantastic location. Bedrooms are mostly cozy and comfortable. There are some drawbacks to be prepared for. Finding a place this big this centrally located is not easy so trade offs to keep in mind follow. The apartment is sparsely furnished and the LR is not as comfortable as we would have liked. A new comfortable couch and some throw blankets would go a long way in this regard. Also there are some issues that management seems to be ignoring including a broken bathroom drain, and windows that don’t seal making for cold rooms. The place needs some time and attention.
I spent 4 nights in Steven's place attending a conference in Heynes Convention Center with some of my students. I enjoyed my stay in this apartment, which is clean, well maintained, and equipped. The only thing that really bothered us was the noise from the nearby highway. That was initially not an issue but we could not sleep past 5:30 am when the noise increases with the rush hours. I downloaded an app to my phone and the noise was about ~48 decibels at 6 am, something you can't ignore. So while I liked the place I will probably not stay here again because of the highway proximity and its noise.

This bright and spacious house suited the needs of my group (8 women!) perfectly. Plenty of beds and bathrooms and room to spread out. The location was fantastic, we walked almost everywhere we went. There are pretty/interesting views out of all windows and the rooftop deck. Steven was a responsive host, and everything went like clockwork! We had a great time!

This place is huge and worked out very well for us! It was very clean and in a good spot walking distance from most everything. Steven's suggestion of using spot hero worked out great to find an overnight parking spot at a reasonable price and we walked around Boston straight from this apartment. Some of the previous reviews mentioned the "tired" or "worn out" look of that apartment but really it's not bad at all. Sure there are some areas where the paint could use some work, ands there are some water stains in the ceiling, but overall it's a very nice place.

This is one of the most beautiful apartments I've stayed at, great location, excellent roofdeck, lots of space, so it pains me to give it such a low rating. The apartment has fallen into a state of disrepair. The door to the master suite is off the hinges, the shower rod in the main bathroom consistently fell (rather than coming over, landlords sent a YouTube video to tell us how to fix it), there is significant water damage, dirty walls with peeling paint, broken and unmatching shades in the bedrooms. There were not enough towels for our party, and the kitchen does not have essential cookware and utensils to make it easy to use. No frying pan, no salt/pepper/olive oil, no corkscrew. Bed upstairs was very comfortable, but rather than having sheets that fit a king bed, a flat sheet probably for a queen was thrown on top of a mattress cover, and the box spring was exposed. If this property were maintained, I think it could be one of the most highly sought after units in Boston. It has incredible space for a group, has incredible charm and character, high ceilings, views. But it really, profoundly needs updating and a newly stocked kitchen.

This apartment has wide spaces, is in a good location, is fully equipped: good beds, linens, towels. However, the kitchen is poorly equipped - pans are extremely worn off and dirty, and there is overall a bad maintenance - bath curtains fell down, and after a night's rain, there were several leakeages in the ceiling. Although with a lot of potential to be a great place, we were disappointed and would not recommend.

Excellent spot in an excellent location!
This was a very disheartening stay for us. My family was visiting from out west and it was the first time we'd seen each other in 2 years. Upon arrival/getting settled in, a curtain rod from one of the bedrooms fell off the wall. In that same room we found little pins all over the floor that seemed to have come from the curtains that were falling off. Next we found ants in the kitchen, to be followed by roaches. They did have someone come out the next day to fix these. Over the course of the next few days we found 4 outlets in total that were broken open and exposed; concerning to say the least, especially with an 18 month old. The ants and roaches continued their stay with us for the next few days. We got locked out of the building 3 times due to a faulty deadbolt, one of these times was at night when I was locked out with my 18 month old and 78 year old mother. Each time I immediately contacted the owners whose suggestion was to push, pull, and lift up on the door to open it, this never worked and we relayed that to them. Not once did they follow up to see if we ever got inside. Every time we came home we didn't know if we'd be locked out. We were left only 2 trash bags, we were 7 people staying for a week. When I asked where we could put the excess trash in the interim between trash days we were told we could not put it outside unless it was trash day. We had ants and roaches and we had to keep bags of trash INSIDE the apartment. Basics that were missing from the apartment: hand soap, drinking glasses, oil, salt & pepper, blankets. extra pillows, extra trash bags. Wifi was very spotty. I've never felt less cared for or taken care of in any place I've ever stayed.
The location of this apartment is great, the floor plan is spacious, and the roof deck is amazing. It is an older property but was very clean. You are close to the Kenmore T stop and within walking distance to Fenway and many fun restaurants and Target. We would definitely recommend this listing, it was perfect for our family.

Great location and excellent proximity to public transportation. We loved being able to walk to almost everything. The downside for us was the lack of toilet paper and hand soap that we had to find on our own. If you are prepared for that, it's a decent place to stay.

We highly recommend this apartment. It is very spacious inside and the rooftop private balcony was awesome with amazing views all day/night. It was so fun to hear the cheers from the fans at Fenway when we were out on the patio. Some tips that may help you. *greenline stop is one block away *metered parking in front of building is free 8 pm to 8 am (verify by reading signs) *walk to Boston commons is a good while but beautiful *we found lots of great restaurants within walking distance
Either the pictures are photoshopped or they're old. This apartment, albeit great in size for large groups and centrally located, is TIRED. Chipped paint, filthy walls, shabby heavily used furniture (couch stained and painted on the sides to hide wear), non-functioning light bulbs and bathroom fans, broken blinds, windows that didn't close, subpar bathrooms. 4 glasses in a 4 bedroom apartment, no soap. The pristine penthouse apartment pictured is far from the reality of this property. For the price, we expected much more. Positives: Steven was very communicative, bedding and towels were good quality. Sadly, I would not recommend.
You’ll feel like a king in this epic penthouse situated on one of the best streets in Boston. Has everything you need, and then some!! Comfy Parachute sheets, washer dryer, lots of bathrooms, and the best part- the private roof deck. You can see Fenway and most of the skyline. Highly recommend!

Great spot. House is older but provided a perfect hang out for us dealing with the rain on Memorial Day weekend. 5 min walk to Fenway, and rooftop was an awesome perk. We had an issue with one of the bathrooms but was clearly communicated and the workers did their best to stay out of our way.

DO NOT RENT FROM HIM (yes, I used all CAPS in this message because I am emphasizing my experience). It started from when we first booked. A couple of weeks afterwards, the Gov of Mass issued a stay-at-home order due to the rise in COVID cases. I went to Steven to request my money back as we had two of our guests with compromised immune systems and wanted to be sure they would be safe. He refused to give it to us. He would only stick to giving back our cleaning fee. I went to AirBnB and they stated that he had to be the one to give the refund. He said, no, he wasn't giving it back. We didn't want to lose our money so we went, minus the two people who couldn't go due to their issue. When we arrived, we walked into the condo and there was a loud beeping sound that would go off every 10 seconds. The condo is all wood floors and not much on the walls so the sound bounced off the floors and walls. It was a two level condo with three flights of stairs in total once you walk into the condo. So the sound was very loud. We also noticed in the king bedroom on the main floor that the curtain on the left side window had fallen off the wall. The bedroom faces the Main Street and the curtain would not only help with the level of noise coming off the street but the morning light coming into the room. I sent Steven a message from the email and it read: We just arrived abd there is a loud beeping noise from one of the smoke alarms as it needs a battery AND the shade in the king on second floor is laying on the bed as the holder fell out of the wall. Can we get this fixed ASAP? (the ASAP is capitalized because that is correct grammar per the AP Style guide. I also put the AND in caps because I wanted to be sure he recognized that there were two issues we encountered). He responded: No we can’t fix this ASAP. Tomorrow we will be able to help. (PS: He never came back to fix either issue). After his response, I responded with: So we have to listen to a beeping noise until tomorrow???? we cannot listen to this all night and we have a room with no blinds on a busy street. seriously??? (Yes, I responded like this because I own rental properties and if I had guests come into my properties and they had a smoke detector going off every 10 seconds I would want to fix that because you have to have working smoke detectors as part of owning a home). His response was: Ok so leave. Money back. Easy as that. (Easy at that? This coming from the guy who wouldn't give us a refund because of the stay at home order from his Governor but is now wanting to give it back because we arrived and found two things wrong with the place that needed his attention? He is getting upset at his guests in his house because they told him things needed to be fixed, one of which is a code violation if you don't have working smoke detectors). From there, I was so angry with his response, especially because of what he put us through prior to coming, I responded with: What’s wrong with you? We’re supposed to listen to a beeping sound all night??? And his response was right on par for how he has behaved throughout this entire process: What’s wrong with me ? We don’t have anyone to go take care of the smoke alarm now. In the morning we can. Don’t talk to me like that. Just call Airbnb. Explain the situation. And they’ll give you a refund. You can find a home without any beeping. Really, find another home without any beeping. So, if you say in your description that you can house cancer recovery patients, you have to know this wouldn't be acceptable to a patient and their family. So why would you treat other guests like this? I responded with: Please do not speak to me like that. We will figure it out abs try to reach all of them to take care of the noise. And because he just has to get the last word in: Don’t call you out for being rude? Ok you’re right. Guest in my house but it’s okay to use caps and add extra question marks and ask what’s wrong with me (So, it all comes down to him being ticked off because I used all CAPS in one of my responses and extra ??. Give me a break.) OHHHH (yes, using all CAPS again), he NEVER came back to fix anything. Never showed up. Never followed back up to see if we were ok and figured it out. Nothing, nada, zilch. SO, if you want to rent with someone who clearly doesn't like to be in the customer service business, or you like people berating you for bringing to their attention things that need to be taken care of, then Steven is your guy. If, though, you don't enjoy being spoken to like a child or being bullied by the owner, then this is not the place for you. There are plenty of more options out there. Also, no where in the description is it mentioned that you have to walk up 5 flights of stairs from the second entry into the building. You might want to pack light because the stairs are steep and long. Thanks!
We would not recommend staying here. We had no hot water the entire stay and the stove didn’t work. We understand that issues happen but the host was not communicative and didn’t seem to care to get it fixed in a timely manner. We wasted approximately 3 hours in Boston coordinating with someone to get it fixed and even the person who came to try to help said the Airbnb host said he’s too busy to deal with it. We asked him to please let us know if we wouldn’t have hot water the second night so we could find a new place and he never followed up. All we needed was a little bit of kind communication. Also, just a warning that the noise is very loud from the highway in the bedrooms. It’s not normal city noise.

This apartment was very spacious and in a fantastic location. Very beautiful space and the roof deck was a great perk. Would recommend this space for big groups traveling in Boston.
Great location, beautiful space, love the roof deck! However I would not rent this space or from this host again. Before we arrived on Weds, host let us know that garbage disposal wasn't working and they wanted to come in and fix that and other issues on Thursday. We arrived and couldn't get into the apt bc the lock didn't work. We eventually got in but this remained an issue the entire stay and we were constantly stressed about the lock. We also arrived to a broken side table, broken door sill, bags of trash, backed up kitchen sink, dish washer leaking dirty water all over. I let them know of the other issues on Thurs and sent them pictures of preexisting damage. I let them know maintenance could come. They responded that I could simply leave and they'd gladly re-rent the apartment. This felt threatening as they knew we had no where else to go. Maintenance never came on Thurs and I had to follow up. They now said maint would come on Friday. On Friday we showed him the sink and told him about the door lock. We all saw a cocktoach climb out of the sink. We left. Later I asked the host if issues were fixed and they said no, they had to contact the owner. I never heard from them again. We were never able to use the kitchen and resulted in extra food costs for us. I asked for remediation on Sunday/after check out and they said they'd have to wait until Thurs to discuss possible refunds. I rehashed the issues. They retaliated by sending a fraudulent request for the table that was broken when we arrived by using the picture we sent them. At no point did they ever apologize for the issues, they just strung us along all weekend and acted like they would fix it. In the end, they did not refund any of my money. 1) lock didn't work right. This was an unsafe apt 2) no use of kitchen sink or dish washer. We had to eat out for all of meals and buy coffee resulting in extra costs to us 3) dirty apartment 4) unhygienic electric kettle 5) roaches 6) threatening/hostile host
The apartment was beautiful and in an amazing area right by Fenway. Although we rented it in the winter, the rooftop deck was an unexpected surprise and had a beautiful view. The apartment was very comfortable for our large group of 9 and perfectly clean when we arrived. I had emailed the host twice during our stay and got a quick response during week day hours. While there are plenty of plates and cups, I would suggest bringing your own cooking supplies if you are there for a longer stay. There were 2 pots but no cooking sheets. I would also suggest bringing your own throw blankets. The bedrooms were a perfect temperature but the living room was very cold in the winter no matter what we put the thermostat on. A house manual would be a helpful addition to this booking!

The house is very big and clean but the water heater has some problems. We have to wait for a long time to take a shower with hot water. The landlord is active to solve the problems.

An airy, stylish place close to public transport, restaurants and cafes
The location of this home was perfect. It’s next to 2 train/bus routes that made it extremely easy to get around. We only used Uber once and that was heading to the airport. It was a short walk to the Hynes Convention area where there are shops and restaurants. If using the Trolley Tour, there is a pickup point within a 20 minute walk too. The beds themselves were very comfortable and the layout was great because there was a lot of space for everyone and we didn’t feel cramped.

Perfect location, great space, awesome guest experience with excellent hosts. The place is well equipped, the beds super comfortable, and there are plenty of bathrooms for all. If you are missing anything, text the team and before you know it, the solution will be at your door. Get ready to go up two stories but hey, it’s good for you! You might have to haul somebody’s luggage up. Keep it mind. The small cafe in the lower level has delicious frozen yogurt! Don’t miss it. We come to Boston as a team every year to compete in Head of Charles, and hands down we want to stay here again. A great place for a group, large family, perfect location, and the best host in town! Can’t go wrong!

This apartment is well-located, clean, and excellent for families/groups. The pictures are accurate, and the upstairs master bedroom is even bigger than you think - we put the kids on the queen-size airbed in a nook around the corner, which gave nice mini-suite-style separation. Check-in is a breeze, communication was friendly and fast, and if the weather is nice be sure to check out the roof deck. We'd definitely stay here again.

Overall great stay, but having to use window a/c units for the weekend instead of entrance a/c on a hot weekend made it a bit unpleasant. Everything else was as described and we enjoyed our stay.
The place was awesome! It fit my party of 9 very comfortably, and the location is great. Plenty of food options around and easily accessible public transportation. Also, watching the sunset from the roof was beautiful.
Fantastic, modern space that is within a stone’s throw of Fenway Park. We had a large group of friends that wanted to take in a Sox game and hang out in the city for the weekend. The living room/kitchen area is a large open space with a large table and 2 skylights. Very cool space to hang out and socialize if you’re hosting a group. The amenities include a dishwasher, coffee maker, garbage disposal, and plenty of plates, dishes and silverware. All of the bedrooms are large with very comfortable bedding. We were able to sleep 8 very comfortably. Central AC kept the entire place cool. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom, which has an en suite bathroom and a door that leads out to the roof. The roof deck itself is fantastic. The location on Commonwealth gives a beautiful view of Boston’s skyline, where you can see the famous Citgo sign and can also make out the centerfield scoreboard at Fenway. If you are looking to stay somewhere for a Red Sox game or are simply looking to host a group of people in downtown Boston, I would highly recommend staying here.
Great location, place was very clean and modern
This is a great place to stay in Boston- super central, easy to hop on green line or simply walk to Boston Common, Copley, Fenway, or the Charles River. Parking is 2 hour meters so be prepared to find a lot of you don’t need a car all day. The unit itself is beautiful and light. Loved the roof deck!
The first place was not clean when I arrived, beds were not made and dirty I towels were in the bathroom. I was given the address of a second location and when I arrived there were people already staying there! Finally I was upgraded to a 4 bedroom place which made up for the disorganization, but in the process of moving from one place to another the cleaners discarded of unlabeled medication I left in the fridge which ended up ruining my trip. This wasn't the cleaners fault but it if I hadn't had to leave the first location I wouldn't have left it in the fridge and been out several hundred dollars. I brought this up to the host and I don't feel their response was sensitive to my situation.

Very good location
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
