The place was clean and very well located—we really enjoyed waking up to the neighborhood’s pastries in the morning and coming back to the neighborhood’s amaro in the evening. The beds were sturdy and the mattresses were comfortable. The washer dryer was essential! However, the place was a bit rougher around the edges than the photos let on. Comforters, curtains, carpets, paint could all use a refresh. The check in time was also relatively late (5pm) and the check out time was relatively early (10am).
First, let me say the people at Healing Hands were very responsive and helpful with the unexpected condition of the property. We appreciated their prompt replies and their quick solution to move us to for the second day of our day. They offered to move us the same night we checked in, but we had a child asleep. I’ve never given a negative review of a property, but the apartment we checked into was very poorly maintained. It had a smell of old cigarette smoke that combined with some kind of air freshener was awful. There was an old, noisy furnace that ran nonstop. It had peeling paint and clear signs of leaks in multiple rooms. The bathrooms were very old and tired. The carpet was matted with unstable feeling floors underneath. We were super thankful that after a night of no sleep, we were moved to a much cleaner and well maintained spot. Unfortunately there was no hairdryer, but I’m sure they will add for the next guest.
This place was in a wonderful location, within walking distance of so many things, yet tucked away on a quiet street. We enjoyed our stay there with the exception of the very firm beds, this is our only complaint. Otherwise, things were good and we enjoyed the walkable location.

The Perfect North End apartment was just that, PERFECT for what our family needed. We loved the location for coming to town for the Bruins game and getting dinner in the North End. We spent the next day we explored the history of Boston with our kids. On top of that, we are happy to have contributed to families who need a place to stay by staying at a Healing Homes house as opposed to a big chain hotel. Thank you for a great stay!
You cannot beat the location, the area is perfect and safe for three girls to walk around at night and even when I had to make a quick 7eleven run by myself I felt safe. It’s perfect for a hub and travel around because everything is so walkable. Host is responsive and amazing and we loved our stay
Good enough apartment for a short stay, but the apartment needs significant maintenance. The heat was iffy, walls had random holes, and there were endless patch jobs done around the apartment. If you can look past the maintenance needed, the airbnb was spacious and in a great location!

We had a great stay at Steven’s. Our goal was to enjoy Boston’s NorthEnd and this place was perfect. Literally a stones throw from the Revere house and just about the middle of Freedom Trail. Fantastic.

Location, Location, Location! Pros: * Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to pretty much everything. * Great size for 2 people. * Linens are nice and there are plenty of pillows to choose from. * Kithen is well stocked with dishes, pans, toaster &/coffee maker. * A wonderful grocery store is a block away! * Entry is easy. Rules are simple. Check-out is piece of cake. Cons: * Musty smell throughout the building. It’s old. Air flow helped. * The king size bed is extremely firm! We couldn’t sleep on it. We had to switch to the queen. * No provisions are provided in the kitchen. No coffee (bring ground), salt/pepper, sugar, spices, napkins. It is bare. * The stairs can be tricky and there is no handrail. Be careful! * The check-in time is bizarre. Check out is 10, check-in 5. That’s a lot of time. There is flexibility if you pay extra. This feels extreme and can be challenging. It is a great location but it could be so much more. We can’t compare it to others in the area.

Great location for seeing the historical sites! As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep (but manageable). Steven's team was quick to respond to a couple of issues we had with plumbing and all was fixed by the time we returned at the end of the day!

Great location close to lots of restaurants, shops & bakeries too! Easy 10 min walk to the Subway @ Hay Market Station. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms were very nice to have 2 of them. Laundry (washer and dryer) in the master bath. Comfortable living space. We really didn’t spend much time at the unit as we were on the run most of the days sightseeing. Would definitely stay again with family or friends.
Rental is in awesome neighborhood! Everything is walkable distance in the entire north end. We took the trolley for one day to get a handle of the entire area and was able to jump on and jump off and explore different parts of the city.

We had a wonderful stay at the Airbnb. It is located right in the North End and easily walkable to everything , especially good restaurants. Having two serrated bedroom and two aerate bathrooms was a real bonus. Stephen was super friendly and very responsive. We would stay here again and would not even look for anywhere else. Great value in terms of location and comfort. The building itself has some water damage and is older/in need of repair but the amenities, in particular the bed and furniture, were plenty comfortable. Fantastic location for our sister trip to Boston, just a couple blocks from Paul Revere's house. The unit is older, but very clean with lots of character. Very spacious for two people; it was nice to "spread out" a bit and great that we each had our own bathroom. Took other reviewers' advice and brought our own ground coffee. Appreciated being forewarned about the narrow stairs to the unit. Steven was very kind and communicative, with tips on luggage storage places nearby. Overall a fantastic unit and great value. This apartment is perfect for a few days or a week to stay in the North End. The apartment is very quiet. There are several stairs for those who may not want them. The apartment was extremely clean. Has the basics in the kitchen. Good for2-3 people. Location is superb! No parking so you must you use a lot close by, a 2-3 minutes walk. I would go here again in a hearbeat my only disappointment was trying to reach the host and only getting auutomated messages. There was a big festival the weekend we went and all roads to the apartment were closed. That would be something else I would look up in advance. Overall a very nice stay. Just a small amount of frustration getting there.
Wonderful apartment in Little Italy! Well kept and it felt fortunate to have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a washer/dryer right in the heart of the city. Tricky to get there by car - wish we’d have printed out detailed directions beforehand because our navigation kept failing while in tunnels. Also we didn’t realize there are huge neighborhood parties every Thursday - Sunday in August right outside - super fun but also loud until about 10:30pm and streets are blocked off.

The place place was spacious and clean. It was very scarcely stocked. No coffee, sugar, minimal towels, etc. A few more necessities would have been helpful but in general a great place.

We were looking for a place close to most of the things to do in boston and this place was perfect. This unit was in the middle of Everything and it was really nice to have a place to stop at and sit for a little in between all the sightseeing. The unit was really comfortable and well organized for the 3 of us.
Great location! Walkable to many of the locations we planned to visit while in Boston. The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfy. The building is older and has some wear and tear but everything was comfortable. The stairs to the apartment could be tricky for some visitors but we did not have any problems. Fell in love with Boston and would stay here again if available when I’m in the area again.

The apartment was in the perfect location. Easy walks to many great places in Boston and the amazing selection of wonderful restaurants in Little Italy. Took the tip from another reviewer and used the boat taxi from the airport to Sargent’s Wharf—worked perfectly. Steve and the gang were very nice and responsive. The apartment is older and could use a little TLC, but it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Older style apartment that was ideal for two travelling couples,not without its foibles,but a great location to spend a few days taking in the historical area of Boston….and being in Little Italy the food options were fantastic….would happily stay there again….

A lovely stay in a great neighborhood! I will absolutely be seeking this place out the next time I’m in town.
Everything was great, but I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons. First, I think a 5 pm check-in is pretty crazy. Second, the rule allowing only 4 people in the apartment was inconvenient. My mom and 2 year old niece wanted to stop by to say hi, but we were nervous about being charged $100 per additional guest if the owners see them on the camera. Aside from these two rules, the apartment is spacious, clean, and in a great location.
We had a terrific stay for our family of 4 adults at Steven's place in the North End. The apartment was very clean and tidy. The location was perfect for our first visit to Boston, we walked or took the T everywhere. The apt. is in a quiet side street, on the 2nd floor of a walk-up. Lots of great restaurants, pizzarias, delis, and pastry shops within a few blocks... including the Golden Goose Market which has anything you might need. The apartment is in an older building, and shows some wear (wall cracks, peeling paint), but it was super clean. I would stay here again!
Little bit hard to walk up the stairs, especially with luggages, but great location and very responsive host. Also no need to clean up at the end like other Airbnb, that’s what we paid cleaning fee for! Very pleasant stay. Will come again if we come back to Boston. Thank you 😊
We had a terrific time! The location is perfect!! Our GPS misdirected us and we were initially at the wrong apartment. Fortunately, Steven was swift responding and we realized our error. We were touring colleges with our grandson, so the two private bedrooms made the four days a perfect mix of family time and down time. The restaurants and the ease of using the T made for an all around excellent location! We ate at a variety of restaurants, and while all great, we found Riccardo’s to be the best food and price! It would be helpful to provide some information about where to park and the closest T stop. We loved having a true Italian morning coffee at Dolce’s and definitely recommend it!! Location is hard to beat - North End. So many restaurants and .4 miles from the T-station. We used it to hit a game at the North Station TD Garden, just 1/2 mile away. Always fun to be in Boston!

It was pouring rain when we went down to Boston but because of where we stayed we easily had a fabulous dinner, an after dinner drink and a little something sweet late night. awesome experience. we came to Boston for a Bruins game and site-seeing vacation. this location was perfect for both. nestled in the North End we were able to walk to everything Boston has to offer. a couple blocks away from a really cool grocery store - Golden Goose, many breakfast spots - Theo's, all the Italian you could eat and the best bakery on Boston - Bova's. we were able to walk to TD Garden, enjoy the game and walk home. always felt safe and we were out late hours. overall an absolute outstanding experience.

The apartment is very clean, spacious, and convenient. The location is great and the instructions were clear. The host responded swiftly to our questions. The only struggle we had was with the noises. The walls are very thin in the apartment, any sound coming from the other apartments can be heard loud and clear throughout the night. Suggestion getting ear plugs for a good night’s sleep.

Steven's unit was large, clean, the bed was comfortable (we never used the 2nd bedroom and bathroom), linens were fresh and smelled great, the location was perfect! A few small things kept me from giving a 5 star review. The kitchen was poorly stocked, either no one has ever cooked there or the cleaning service disposes of all the provisions left by other guests (oil, cooking spray, ketchup, mustard, etc.) While I don't expect a fully stocked kitchen, I usually find a bit more than salt and pepper to make a meal. There was a coffee maker but no coffee filters. One blind in the living room is about 24 inches too short, and does not reach the bottom of the window, looks like they ordered the wrong size and just left it. Given the size and location, this is a good value, I would stay here again!

Cannot beat the location! In the heart of the North End and easily walkable to many of the local attractions. (I actually wouldn't recommend having a car. Street parking nearby is nearly non-existent.) The bedrooms in the unit are very spacious and the living room is large enough to comfortably fit two people. The kitchen is very small. We didn't end up using it because the restaurants in the neighborhood were so good. The unit is dated but was clean. There are three other units in the building, one of which is upstairs. We had some noisy neighbors during our stay and could hear them walking around. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Overall, I'd recommend this unit for its location and access to central Boston.

It's not easy to find a two bed + two bath rental unit in that location for a reasonable price. What a gem! I'd definitely stay there again when back in Boston.
Boston is an expensive stay, and I think I expected a slightly higher quality of maintenance. I'd stay again but only if I couldn't find a place within the same price range. It hits the needs but isn't a first choice. Cozy, and located in a cute street. Easy to find walkup, and instructions are very clear. Some maintenance could be used on the location - wall paint, a bigger and cleaner ironing board. There is a lot of random noise, from neighbors, old lights, water running. I'm used to check-in & check-out times being a little less extreme - 10AM check-out in particular was earlier than I'd say was comfortable.

This location is fantastic - right in the heart of Little Italy and very close to the Freedom Trail. There are dozens (not exaggerating) of excellent restaurants within a 1-2 block radius of the apartment, and Little Italy as a whole is great for food. The neighborhood seemed safe during the times that we were out (morning to 11-12 PM). The building is older, but the space and amenities are good, clean, and fit the description. You can hear your neighbors, so hope for courteous ones - ours were fine. The owners responded quickly to the few questions that I had before check in and check out, and their instructions were clear and accurate. This spot is probably best suited to small groups/families looking to spend most of their time exploring Boston.

Wasn’t top condition of the apartment although VERY clean. There were a few old water stains on the ceiling, peeling paint, broken receptacle in kitchen, stains on bedroom carpeting. Just needs some freshening up or TLC to look more attractive. Loved the location in North End which was very close to shops & restaurants. Was quiet back street so was away from hustle & bustle. Manager was very responsive to any questions so would like yo stay here again but hoping they do a few minor things to make it look better.
Great apartment in a fantastic location. In Boston’s Little Italy neighborhood and walkable to multiple wharfs and harbors. Food in the area is incredible and the walk to Christopher Columbus Park and the Greenway is easy. The Haymarket subway station is within a 10 minute walk and gets you wherever you need to go on the MBTA. The one lane street the apartment is on is extremely quiet, but parking is nonexistent since it’s all permit-only resident parking. Steven is very responsive in his replies. A great location to explore a great city.
Great location, located in the middle of the city, walkable to several restaurants and things to do. It was very clean, easy to access, and perfect for families!

The place certainly needs maintenance. The one bathtub looks terrible. There are water stains on the ceilings, needs painting. The towels were so thin. I realize the area is expensive, but at least do not leave us with old cheap hotel towels.

Perfect location for the Freedom Trail (steps from the door!) Make a breakfast reservation at North Street Grille literally around the corner. Mikes Pastry is 2 blocks over. And there are not enough hours in the day to eat at all the Italian places in the North End. It is just a 20 minute ride share to Fenway during rush hour. Tip: take the 15 minute water taxi from the airport to Sargents Wharf then it’s only a 2-3 minute walk to the building. Better than traffic and you can’t beat the view coming in. Great communication. Clean space. And a very easy one flight walk-up apartment.
Great location in North End! Right by all the restaurants there and short walk to everything else downtown. Very spacious place and felt private in a busy area. Flexible with check in. Getting in wasn’t bad at all with the flight of stairs just a little tight. Amazing spot!
The pictures perfectly matched the apartment. It was super clean…and of course in an AMAZING location. I’d stay there over and over, everything about it was exactly right.
What a fun spot in the North end. It was such a great homebase in exploring Boston. The apartment is exactly as described and the beds were gloriously comfortable! The room air conditioners were a must and make sleep so deep and restful. The apartment is within walking distance to may big attractions. I would deff stay again. One thing to note, and for us it didn't matter since we were flying in from California is the check-in time is kind of late (5:00 PM). Not horrible but something to note if you are more local and staying here on a quick vacay.

Pros: GREAT location on quiet street in heart of North End, pretty large space for a city apartment, good instructions from host, well cleaned upon arrival, cute furnishings, well equipped. Fantastic two bedroom apartment in Historic North End of Boston. It is a smaller apartment (approx 900 sq ft) which is expected for this neighborhood. It is an older apartment but upkeep is as good as expected. They had it professionally cleaned as we were arriving and brought in new appliances for us. They even provided us a pack n play for our toddler so we could all fit nicely! Highly recommend this place and would stay again

Location, location, location. Great spot in the heart of North End. Dozens of restaurants, pastry shops, delis, stores, waterfront, shopping, T subway line, all within a short walk. Even Boston Garden was less than 15 minutes walk. It is located on a very quiet street, felt very safe. It is an older building, so the insulation between units is not superb--bring some ear plugs for night time if you are a light sleeper, but there were fans and noise cancelling machines that really helped. You will need to climb a narrow stair case up one floor to get to the unit. Looks very much like the pictures. Kitchen stocked with pots and pans, coffee and tea maker, plenty of dishes and S & P. Super responsive host that answered emails so quickly. Easy check in and out. I would stay here again definitely.
Our host is great and professional. The location is great. Right in the center of North End with a lot of good sightseeing locations and restaurants. The area is very walkable, and it's around 10 minutes walk away from the Green Line, so not too bad if you want to go a bit further. The place is clean, but the building is super old. It's interesting to see devices (e.g. air conditioner) with knobs and meters with the design language from the age of moon landing. But the air conditioner is very loud and only mildly effective. The floor is a bit tilted. And my main complain is that the walls are super thin that you feel your neighbors are just walking inside your room. We were lucky that our neighbor did not end up staying up too late into the night.

It is also very close to several subway stops for further journeys. The apartment is clean and comfortable. I was pleased at how little ambient noise we heard. The street noise or noise from other apartments was rare and not bothersome. The kitchen was well equipped and having two bathrooms was a big advantage.
Visited Boston for a sports week, and we had a great place to stay. Inside the apartment could have used some work. Outdated bathrooms, poor paint/cocking jobs, and super hollow. We could hear everything outside, and everything around us. We struggled with loud neighbours, but Steven was very attentive and was willing to act on it if it got out of control. The price we paid was worth the place we stayed. Great location, multiple Italian restaurants just walking distance, corner stores, shops, and a pretty busy spot for the North End of Boston. The apartment was spacious, however it lacked a few necessities. Missing kitchen bakeware and some utensils. No dryer sheets for laundry. Overall, this was a decent spot to stay and I would stay again. Thanks Steven!
The location was fantastic. Neighborhood was lively, walkable and historic (close to Old North Church, Paul Revere’s house, etc). Great place to stay to tour Boston.

The place was pretty comfortable and in a very good location. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Steven was proactive and responsive before and during our stay. The only issue we had was a water leak on the shower ceiling that looked a bit scary, as if a part of the ceiling could fall down at some point. I let Steven know about this, hopefully it can be fixed soon.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Here are our pros and cons: Pros: amazing location, easy to check-in and check-out, large space Cons: the apartment could use updating (repainting/spackling, updated appliances, etc.) We would stay here again! The price is steep but given the location and ease it was well worth it. Thank you to the hosts!

Great apartment, great location but walls are paper thin and there is a horrendous mold problem- it was incredibly uncomfortable and needs to be addressed.

Great apartment in the heart of the north end. Stayed for 1 week both from work to attend conference but also to enjoy a weekend in the Boston area. Location made it easy to walk pretty much everywhere I needed to go, from the market 2 short blocks away, to great restaurants in north end or around waterfront, or down to Quincy market or 1 day down to Boston Commons area. 1.5 mile walk to Convention Center which was a great way to end my work days. apartment itself is perfectly laid out with 2 formal bedrooms and bathrooms. kitchen was small but allowed some cooking or simple meals prep when necessary. Bathroom, Kitchen, Washer/Dryer come with basic essentials for soaps, shampoo, detergent, etc, but local market has anything else you might need. Overall a great stay and definitely use again next time I need a slightly extended stay in Boston.

The apartment is located in great walking distance to local places. The place is older but goes along with being in a very old city.
Unbelievably great location with easy access to all of the Italian North End, Quincy Market and North Station. Steve is a very good host who responds to questions and concerns in record time. There is plenty of space in the apartment and having the laundry right there is super convenient. Great Value for the Money ! Thanks again Steve, we'll see you again next year.
I enjoyed my stay and felt that the apartment served my needs well. The neighborhood was very pleasant, with excellent restaurants, bakeries and cafes. I felt perfectly comfortable walking around alone at night there. The apartment was also just around the corner from Paul Revere's house and other historic spots. The place was clean, functional, and comfortable. I had no trouble getting in with the access codes provided. I would gladly stay there again.
Great location but pictures online look nicer than it really is in person. Needs some updating including ceiling and wall repair and new carpeting. Excellent communication with Steven. For the money it cost to stay here, I would pay a little more and stay in a hotel next time.
The stay at this quaint and modern apartment in the North End was fantastic. The location is ideal and check in was seamless. Very easy to find, and nestled right in the middle of plenty of restaurants and bars and other walkable attractions. I parked at a nearby lot overnight and not even a 5 min walk back to the apartment. Very clean, very cute; the place definitely felt authentic to the area! Would stay again!

Great, clean, roomy apartment with nice bedrooms and beds (even a washer/dryer) in an excellent North End location that's ideal for walking to numerous restaurants, bars and historic destinations. We really enjoyed our stay. Check-in was easy. Communication with host Steven was timely. You'll need to keep two different lock codes handy, one for the building front door and one for the apartment. A narrow stairway may not work for some, but it's no big deal and also expected in a North End apartment (part of the charm, frankly). We parked overnight two quick blocks away at the public wharf parking lot (adjacent to Starbucks). One note: this is an old building in an even older neighborhood so you'll hear occasional walking in the apartment above; that's to be expected. Next time in Boston, we'll look forward to staying here again !

Check in was easy! Would have been nice if check in was before 5 without having to pay addition money. The space was lovely! Cozy and comfy! Issues with the wifi, but Steven was very responsive and was able to resolve the issue. Would definitely stay in the space again.

This is a great location! You are right in the middle of the action- but yet the apartment is on a quiet side street. The apartment was very clean and the space was great! I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to my friends and family.

Great location close to all historic, water front and dining life . Very easy to cover all by foot.
Excellent location but run down interior with multiple missing/broken fixtures and window blinds. Terrifically dirty windows. Had problems with both toilets and host was very responsive but issues persisted. Chose the unit for its two bathrooms but one was usually out of commission with my poor husband working to fix it. Clean but very loud at night with window a/c units but thankfully comfortable linens and beds. Large living space. Could be great with some basic investment to upgrade bathrooms and fixtures.
